Name: Edmund 'Eddie' Ben
Actual Age: 32
Gender: M
Race/Faction: Human/NYPD
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 165 pounds

Bio:
Edmund, or as he prefers to be called, Eddie ain't got much of an exciting story going for him. He grew up in the Bronx, got into scrapes with other kids, and attended classes. He didn't see Pop much, due to the fact he was constantly on patrol to combat the endless crime of the Big Apple. Harlem Racketeers, traffickers, the Families you name it, Eddie's dad saw them all, and told the crazy stories to his boy when he was able to see him. Pops told Eddie about the odder cases, such as the victims found with weird bites, or witness reports about something like a bipedial bear prancing about.

Needless to say, the old man left a mark on the boy. As he grew up, Edmund dreamed of becoming a cop like his old man and cleaning up the crime that engulfed the city. After progressing through the academy, Eddie paid his dues as a grave-shift patrol officer and worked his way to working as a detective.

Course all stories don't have happy endings. As he was returning to his squad car, which was currently engaged in a stake-out, with a baker's dozen of doughnuts, he saw his partner Louis Maroni torn up with weird gash-wounds and even bite-marks. It was a tragedy to both him and the department. His supervisor, blamed Eddie for not being there with his partner and reassigned him to, what his fellow officers referred to as, the 'Siberian Peninsula'. All the cases that were deemed too odd, and not worth the time of the normal squad were shuffled there. Here he was assigned to be teamed up with a strange new officer as his partner, while they handled these new cases.

Personality: Eddie is a by-the-book cop, who performs all of his work seriously, even the 'Siberian Cases'. He's a dependable member of the force, who always has the back of his fellow officers.

Powers: Mental fortitude; crackshot with hand-guns and hand to hand expert with a stake; has extensive knowledge regarding supernatural creatures; knows where the Original Ray's Pizza is; refined sense of sarcasm; always carries a pack of smokes on him, alongside a wooden stake, vials of holy water, and his gun is filled with silver bullets.

Other: Partnered with Sleepy

Name: Sleepy
Actual Age: 4
Gender: M
Race/Faction: Frankenstein's Monster/NYPD
Height: 7'1"
Weight: 400 lbs

Bio:
Sleepy is a creature created by Dr. Waldman, the now-ex-head of the NYPD forensics department. The story starts with the Hell's Kitchen Massacre four years ago, an event which claimed the lives of 13 officers, all of whom were two weeks from retirement at the time of their deaths. It's unknown what drove Waldman (who had been in charge of the autopsies) to stitch the corpses together, nor the method he used to reanimate it. Some say Waldman was a descendant of Dr. Frankenstein himself, and had inherited his ancestor's obsession. Others postulate it was some sort of voodoo curse. Yet more think he was simply incredibly drunk at the time.
Whatever he explanation, Waldman was fired for gross misconduct and hauled off for a state-ordered psychological evaluation. As for the creature- dubbed "Sleepy", though nobody really knows why- it was reasoned that, as he was made up of police officers, that technically made him an officer as well. With that, they (re)issued the creature a somewhat-bloodied badge, assigned him a partner-cum-handler, and put him to work on cases that were either too strange or too stupid for normal cops to deal with.

Personality: Sleepy is a loose-cannon Frankenstein's monster who lives on the edge, consumed by his thirst for vengeance and his vow to take down every gang boss in the city. That said, he has a good heart (three, actually), and is surprisingly good with kids.

Powers: Inhuman strength, stamina, and toughness; encyclopedic knowledge of seedy bars; can figure out the real name of any prostitute in NYC with just a glance; supreme mastery of cheesy one-liners; always has a pair of sunglasses on him

Other: Partnered with Eddie.

@Prostagma I'm..going to have to deny that CS. As much as I like the idea, if anyone saw that thing walking down the street it'd get lynched. The government would also be all over the NYPD for allowing such a thing without informing them as well.

I'm sure it's against a number of regulations to hire legally dead officers stitched together.

Possibly, edit it to not be a version of frankensteins monster?

Again, I really like the character and it's story a lot, I just can't see it meshing with this RP.

Presumably, a Frankenstein's Monster stays incognito in much the same way that a vampire from the Holy Roman Empire stays incognito, and how violent wars between wolfmen and vampire drug dealers can stay out of the public eye. Large amounts of concealing clothing, a solid cover story, and a world populated by people who vehemently refuse to believe that anything supernatural can happen.

Hey man maybe it'd be lynched if it was you or me calling the shots but these are new yorkers we're talking about here. Freakishly huge guys with stitches and tattoos all over are a daily sight over there.
Besides since when has the NYPD been known for ethics and strict hiring policies.

@Scrapula Ehhhh..point taken.

@Prostagma

I'm going to allow it, for now. Just don't get to ridiculous with him. My one stipulation is he has concealing clothing and the like as mentioned by Scrapula, a man half stitched together that looks like a zombie/skeleton just won't fly without some kind of something concealing him.

A psychic vampire essentially feeds off psychic energy rather than blood. It's also a little more passive, as psychic energy can be siphoned slowly without making contact, though it can be absorbed more quickly if the vampire makes skin contact with their source. Like sanguine vampires, the psychic vampire has to feed from a living source (i.e. not other vampires of any kind). I could come up with more specifics if you need them, but these are the basics.

@TaliPaendrag Ehhh. I'm going to have to say no on the feeding off of psychic energy thing. In theory, the concept is cool, but I don't really like the fact that they'd pretty much be weakening someone without even touching them.

Well, it's not as potent as blood feeding. The victim might feel a little more irritable or depressed, but most people won't even have realized that they were fed upon. There are other differences that I can elaborate upon later. If you're dead set on no, that's fine. I just want to make sure that I didn't miscommunication in my previous posts. :)

@TaliPaendrag There was a bit a miscommunication, though not much, thanks for clearing that up. I'm still gunna have to go with no, seeing as your character would be able to heal without technically feeding and during fights with the werewolves and human characters. Just slightly overpowered, in my opinion.
