That kiss, everything just seemed to click in that one moment. It reminded him once of how liberating to be what he was rather then feeling like a monster. While her heart might not pump, his was working overtime. Finally having a small sweet taste of her, he didn't want to let her go, all that old hatred seemed so pointless so much unnecessary luggage gone. Yet as soon as the kiss had begun it was over, leaving a confused Tholo with a slight hurt look as she gave him a glare making him question what the hell he did to screw things up? Then her glare turned to glancing at everything he seemingly owned besides returning his own gaze.
He didn't even get a chance to ask what was wrong. She was gone and as much as he would of wanted to give chase, he couldn't out run a vehicle and he doubted he would get a free pass shifting in the middle of the city. He was alone as if everything had been a mere figment of his imagination.
It took a moment to process what happened and when he did an unsettling feeling sunk in. One that he definitely hadn't felt in centuries. He felt rejection, something that stabbed him even sharper then the knife from the attack of earlier. It made him look at how alone he was and for once after all the time being alone, he hated it, hated being fear, hated the one night flings, his cold view of the world. The wolf in him whined in sorrow, ears flat, tail drooping at the feeling. He stood up and took his cup to the sink and returned to grab the one Trixy left behind but decided to leave it. For what seemed like hours, he stood there unsure really what to do for once and thought about the kiss. It had felt so right but the way she had looked at him made him wonder if he had done wrong. He made an attempt at looking at the silver lining, on the plus side he didn't get stabbed again. Thinking positive didn't help. He growled in annoyance at himself, what was he thinking, him and a vampire, it would never work right? Plus he was the Big Bad Wolf, the monster of fairy tales.
It didn't matter how hard he tried at that moment the walls were damaged and the feeling of rejection kept seeping in. Maybe a day of tension would of been better then this shitty feeling he was now stuck with. He went to the fridge grabbing a beer and proceeded to head up stairs, going to the war zone that was his room. He picked up the two knives and went about cleaning them, finding anything to do then think about the kiss, any way to just try and forget Beatrix de la Croix. Perhaps he would go clubbing that night, find a way to suppress the desire that assaulted him for one woman. Have his fun and go for a run in the woods to clear his head.
Before he knew it he had cleaned up most of the mess that had happened that morning. The floor needed to be redone to which he finally decided to go hard wood along with replacing the banister for the stairs. As he passed the table once again his mind traveled to Trixy as he looked at the cup. Damn it all, he couldn't get rid of her and damn no woman was going to be the same after that kills. He wanted to shatter the cup, do something, ignite the flame of his old hatred again, curse her for what she was and spit on her name but he couldn't. Once again he left the cup.
He grabbed his keys and left his home. He needed to be away from the house, away from the city. He left a note, primarily if Danilo came around again, saying he was gone for awhile, and not sure when he honestly would be back. Maybe he would return that night, maybe a week. He needed to be out in the woods alone for awhile, human or as wolf, did not matter. He got in his car and drove to his usual hunting grounds and territory.
He parked the car off an old trail and covered it the best he could before wandering off. Once feeling he was far enough in, he stripped down putting the clothes in the hole of a tree to find them once he was done with whatever he was going to do. He fell to all four as the feeling of pain took him. Skin fell off him, teeth feel from his mouth, his skin tore and ripped as it was replaced by fur and new skin hidden beneath. Bones cracked as they sculpt and shaped themselves anew with organs shifting to accommodate the changes. It was only a few seconds before he was out running. Running from the pain that still in him. Finally where no one would hear him he howled in anguish and pain.
