I was unaware that your vampires heal by feeding. If that's the case, then yes, it would be a little broken. Ultimately, I was just proposing a different flavor of vampire
@TaliPaendrag Ye. I should probably write out a detailed list of attributes for vampires and werewolves, I'll do it soon. Their healing is determined by feeding, how long it's been, and how much they actually fed. It's not too complicated, I don't think.
Bio: Alissa led an average American life in New York. Born to a pair of average parents, with an average 2.5 children (they adopted the other half) and average extended family, she grew up to be an average girl. Her average grades prevented her from attending a not-average college right out of high school, so she instead took an average route of getting a job as a waitress. Her slightly-above-average appearance earned her slightly-above-average tips when combined with her peppy attitude and service. While she desired a break from her average life, she realized that all she really wanted was for her average, comfortable life to continue as it was.
Her break came to her in the form of a lone customer on a rainy night. She felt herself attracted to his rugged appearance, as it reminded her of her desire to no longer be average. His wolfish grin charmed her, and over the course of the night she got to know and ultimately decided to start dating the man. He brought adventure to her life, and she loved every moment of it. Their dates took them to out-of-the-way diners in places of the city she had never dreamed of going. She soon found herself falling head over heels for the man.
One day she arrived early to meet him for a date, only to find him dealing drugs in an alley. He tried to explain himself, but she put her finger to his mouth; she loved him, and she was willing to overlook shady dealings for her honey. Her boyfriend seemed immensely relieved - more relieved than Alissa expected him to be. The date continued as planned, and the next day he asked her to meet him and his family. It turned out that he was a werewolf, and his "family" was the Silver Moon.
She was given a choice: become a werewolf and share the secret as a member of Silver Moon, or forget about her boyfriend and Silver Moon entirely. Her love and her desire to break completely from her average life won out, leading her to joining Silver Moon. She was turned, and spent the next two days caged as she got used to the new instincts and urges that come with being a werewolf. Tragedy awaited her when she was freed: her boyfriend had been the target of the murderer's latest attack. Luckily, he had been found before he died, but he was hospitalized in serious condition.
Thus her job in Silver Moon began. She took up her boyfriend's job and used her earnings to pay her boyfriend's medical bills. Alissa's old, average life was over.
Personality: Alissa is secretly a peppy, happy-go-lucky kind of girl, but puts up a facade of being cool and laid-back. This facade is especially strong when on the clock, as she feels drug dealers need to be cool and collected in order to be "trusted".
Powers:
Intimidate: Alissa channels her feral aura, cowing even those who are stronger than she.
Feral Call: Alissa calls in help with a loud cry, summoning wild dogs and any other werewolves nearby.
Growing Powers: Alissa is still growing into her werewolf powers, resulting in increased healing. In exchange, her speed and strength are less than that of other werewolves.
Other: Her boyfriend was unable to identify his attacker, as he was taken from behind.
Name: Norman Perry Apparent Age: 24 Actual Age:127 Gender: Male Race/Faction: Vampire/Blackbloods Height: 6’3” Weight: 182 lbs
Bio: Norman Perry was born to an rich family in the late 19th century England. He grew up the son of a banker, with all the perks and privileges. Norman was an eccentric kid with his cold looks and lack of empathy. He learned easily and showed an aptitude for fencing, both of which his father forced him to take up. Norman took the learning as something that had to be done, either in school of in life. Whereas he took the fencing as an art form. He loved whipping his foil around, outsmarting his opponents, seeing the weak points in their defense and besting them. The banker’s son went on to become one of the most esteemed dualists in London.
One night the Perry family had people over for dinner, something which wasn’t that unusual. What was unusual however was one woman. She was the widow of a lord, supposedly 38 years old. The woman didn’t look a day over 25 and captivated all men in the room. Norman was intrigued by her, he had never met a woman like her before. After dinner all of the guests had a drink and the widow singled Norman out. The two of them talked and talked and Norman became more and more intrigued by her. She knew things and every move of her was as gracious as a feather swaying in the wind. She wanted to show him something.
The pair headed back to the main room. The widow told Norman to close the door and he did. As soon as the door closed Norman heard a sharp crack, then a scream. He quickly turned around and saw one of the guest lying on the ground, his head turned around 180 degrees. The widow was at the other side of the room standing over the dead man. She had crossed the entire room in the blink of an eye. In a flash the widow stood next to the screaming woman, her face buried in the screaming woman’s next. The room fell silent, everyone was scared to death. The only difference between Norman and the rest of the crowd was that he still was intrigued. That night he was turned.
Norman was taken in by a vampire coven in London, where he was trained and educated in the ways of the night. His skills as a fencer made him one hell of dualist within the coven and he was quickly put to work. His specialty, solving internal problems as well as the occasional werewolf incident.
Personality: Norman always stood out because of his lack of empathy. Through the years however he learned to have a good grasp on human nature. His natural curiosity and aptitude for picking up new things made that easier. Norman enjoys outsmarting his opponents and favors combat over diplomacy. He is the person you sent to fix the problem permanently.
Powers: Bone Manipulation – The ability to change the skeletal structure of the body. Norman can change his hands into claws or spring blades of bone from his forearms. The wounds inflicted by the bone manipulation need to heal after combat, causing an increased desire to feed. Lightning Reflexes – Norman reacts on outside impulses faster than other vampires. His body processes information that might give him an edge in combat faster than other vampires. Other: Norman is still looking for the widow.
Sorry I haven't gotten a cs up yet. I got a little busy over the weekend. I do have a quick question, however. Are there other kinds of supernatural creatures in this world or are their just the three we've seen so far (vamps, lycans, and Frankenstein-esque monsters)? If the former, would we be able to propose a race for consideration and use them for our characters?
Name: Bastian Apparent Age: Mid-40's Actual Age: ~400 Gender: Male Race/Faction: Werewolf/Silver Moon Height: 6'4" Weight: 180 lbs. Appearance:
A chain smoker, Bastian has a thick body build and typically dresses in casual suits.
Bio(Two paragraphs, minimum): Bastian got his first taste of outlaw life during the 30 years war. Though he served in the military early on, after a few years of brutality, he and a group of fellow soldiers decided to break off and become outlaws. In the midst of the chaos caused by the war, peasants were easy pickings for raids, and for a short while, they even lived well. That, however, was not to last. When the pickings were dry, the men grew bitter, miserable, and blamed their leader for their woes. Arguments grew into violence, and Bastian soon found himself stabbed and left for dead, stripped of his possessions and left to wander the forests until he died of blood loss or exposure. And then, under a pitch sky marred by a crescent, he stared ahead and smelled blood, the feral scent of a predator. Bastian awoke three days later, naked, covered in blood, and with one thought on his mind: "There's nothing quite like loyalty from the start."
Among the many horrors of the Thirty Years War, there remain accounts of wild beasts growing more violent than thought possible.
In the centuries since then, Bastian was a constant presence in the underworld; his inhuman power made it easy to keep normal men pressed under his thumb, but still he desired more than begrudging servitude, or men who'd turn tail for money. It was when he started recruiting and creating werewolves that he created a new dogma for his followers: they would serve with the undying loyalty of a wolf, and in exchange he would lay down his all to provide. This pack would operate primarily through central Europe until the 1920's, when Prohibition offered a very profitable new market in the United States, where Bastian and crew have operated since.
Personality: Bastian possesses a cool head and silver tongue; centuries of practice have taught him to be as eloquent or casual as the situation calls, and countless conflicts have honed his keen sense to know when to talk, mock, and shoot. Beyond this outward act, he possesses a sharp intuition and business sense. The werewolf knows he must provide for his pack, and to that end he carefully oversees what he sells, where, who may interlope and who'd be a good customer. New York is merely the HQ for his operations and the one he sees to personally; Bastian has business associates along most of the eastern seaboard, operating in independent cells capable of turning to each other in event of a collapse of that city's business. Many packs working together, forming what he might call a meta-pack. What Bastian really values, however, is undying loyalty. When entering the business, he lays down one simple rule: You devote yourself to the family, and the family will take care of you.
Powers: True to his origins as a soldier and then a bandit, Bastian is stronger and tougher than average, though not quite to Hector's insane degree. Perhaps because of his leadership position, his coat as a werewolf has a brighter sheen, and his scent carries a vital essence. Additionally, he has supernatural levels of insight.
Understandable. You're free to jump in at any time. That said, I'll try to get this started tonight, tommorrow at the latest. Gots to make the opening post count ya kno.
