Occupation: A woodcutter. More specifically, he travels deep into the wilderness around the town to find the best quality lighter wood for starting fires. He also hunts but that's mostly for sustenance and pleasure, not profit.

Skills: A good tracker and crack shit with a bow, he knows the forest around the town perhaps better than any man. Despite his size he can move very quietly. He can mend his own clothes, cook his own food, skin and clean his own game, and is a proficient whittler.

Powers: None

Inventory: His fathers axe, a old single headed war axe that he's very fond of.

History: Emil was carried into the village when he was just a babe on his fathers back. His father, Gwyn, was rumored to be a fighting man from up north and a deserter. He built a house on the edge of the village where Emil still lives to eek out a good living for his son. One day not long after the boy turned eighteen Gwyn set out into the woods to fetch dinner and never returned.

Point of Interest: The Sweet Scar, a mile long area deep in the middle of the forest where every single ancient tree has been knocked over as though a giant ran through and pushed them all down. Evey single one of them have fallen in the same direction, and their sap has flowed out and hardened them to the ground. The entire area still smells sickly sweet despite this having been here for ages.

Inventory: His father's old armor, of which he seems to constantly wear. Despite it's age, it is well cared for and has a polished shine.

History: A young man that was born and raised in the village. As his father was a knight before settling down in the village, he grew up on tales of his adventures. When he was old enough, he became a Full-Time Sentinel. He spends the vast majority of his time patrolling, fending off monsters, and training. He often lends his advice and instruction to other would be Sentinels, temporary or otherwise. Five years ago he discovered the local myth of the Twilight Cavern, nearly costing him his life in the process. When he returned to the village he spoke of a "terrible creature" that lurked within.

Point of Interest: Twilight Cavern, a massive crack in a cliffside that leads into a deep cave filled with numerous giant crystals. Seeming to flush into the surrounding rock, it becomes visible in the twilight hours thanks to an eerie orange glow. Because of it's remote location and illusive nature, it remained a mere myth until Aldis' eyewitness account of it five years ago. The threat of a terrible creature lurking inside has made approaching the area something few are willing to do.

Inventory: An oddly shaped belt with magic power. The clothes on his back, supplies necessary for operations.

History: An ordinary man with no special quality who was just the simple son of a shepherd and a seamstress. Originally meant to be under the apprenticeship of an apothecary his interests with plants drifted to that of brewing and so his occupation changed. He would find himself traveling the lands until he settled into this village and offered it his own brew which of course is a secret recipe.

Point of Interest: Blumen's pond and stream
In the midst of of a clearing there exists a decently large pond nestled in the forest with a stream that flows into it. Although not large enough to be used as a permanent source of water for the village, Pisco has constructed a pipeline to a collection source for brewing purposes as he finds the water good.

Skills: Sarah is an expert both in mining and in blacksmithing, there isn't much she can't forge as long as she has the materials.

Powers:

Insight: By simply glancing at an object Sarah can find out almost everything there is to know about it. Estimated value, materials used, hints towards what magical properties it possesses, past owners, etc.

Inventory: A reinforced steel pickaxe, a blacksmiths hammer, and tongs.

History: Sarah doesn't remember much o her past prior to being found abandoned in the village by the local miner. Though, she's always wondered about her past, she never let it affect her much.

Once she was old enough helped her adoptive father out in the mines and his shop, and she enjoyed doing so. As soon as she was old enough she opened up her own shop and took up the art of blacksmithing, getting supplies from both her fathers shop and mining herself.

Point of Interest: Her forge/shop, The Steel Axe. She also lives in the floor above the lobby and main shop area. She sells everything from trinkets to hulking suits of armor.

History: Born in the village when it had been much smaller, his parents died at an early age, and the poor boy ended up being picked up to live with relatives in a distance village…well, he did have relatives. Poor and sickly, they had sold Roose to slavers in order to afford their own medicine and food. Little more than a decade on, Roosevelt returned to live in the village after buying his freedom, his skills in language funding some of the finer things he so desires.

If not the raincoat and scarf, then some other elements of heavy clothing; she seldom seems to care about the warmth. She wears a black bow in the collar of her shirt. There is a slight hump to her back, though since she doesn't stoop it isn't immediately apparent.

Skills: Plowing, seeding, harvesting, watering, agility, resourcefulness, fortitude, intuition

Powers: No innate supernatural abilities

Inventory: A well-made torch that will seldom go out once lit, and that can spread fire easily. A bag of sunflower seeds to chew on or to give to others. A wide-brimmed, rumpled brown hat to keep the sun off.

History: Belle hails from Northington, a rural, backwoods town fifty miles away from Tanjozo. Eleven years ago, Northington erupted into a violent crisis when a string of sudden, violent deaths among the young people sparked a panicked, frenzied hunt for witchcraft. Even when the killings stopped, the wild hunt raged on, becoming a tool for people to take out their anger, mistrust, and resentment on one another. This included Belle, who framed her sister as a witch using nasty vermin called Bone Worms from the expansive town cemetery. During her sister's public execution, an onslaught of Bone Worms caused a terrifying outbreak, during which Belle came to her senses and risked her life to save her sibling's before fleeing into the wilderness. In doing so, she escaped the catastrophic fire that raged through the village. Eventually, she came to Tanjozo, where she happily enlisted as a ranch hand and lived quietly.



Point of Interest: The Charred Village, formerly known as Northington. Nestled in a deep valley almost narrow enough to be called a canyon, it lies in the middle of a large woodland. On the village's terraces, the disused fields are choked by weeds, and where there previously stood towering houses lie only burned husks shoddily rebuilt, tilting like looming shadows over the cobblestone streets. The ground is ashen and littered with fire-blackened bones; even the air, thanks to both fog and dust, can be stifling. The Charred Village is inhabited still, though its denizens rarely leave their homes and never leave the town. Though it trades with other settlements, it does so indirectly, and is not at all friendly to strangers. Its people are gaunt, dead-eyed, secretive, and aggressive to outsiders. Rumors abound about what evil acts may be going on in the hellish Charred Village, not the least disturbing of which are strange, bony growths sprouting out of some of the buildings.

Heightened Senses: Years of training has shaped Nila into an excellent hunter, but it was her completion of "The Hunter's Vigil" which truly gave her the skill she wields now. Nila can hear the slightest of rustling of the woodland creatures, smell the faintest of scents, and see in the darkest of caves.


History
The elven clan of Valenriel, a village situated at the edge of a great forest. The Valenriel clan has for ages past invested its existence on the concepts of loyalty, hard work, and respect. Not only for each other but for the world which they gain sustenance from. Nila was born into such a clan and so was raised with these ideologies in mind. However when most of the children in her clan were peaceful and obedient, Nila was animate and rebellious. Often times she'd sneak out at night to venture into the woods in search of whatever fantastic tale she'd spun for herself. While most of the clan's livelihood relied on sustenance farming, Nila took up archery to become a hunter for the clan. The young elf girl turned out to be a natural at the skill and quickly gained notice by the village elders.

It was when Nila turned twenty-one that the village elders sought her aid. An artifact of significant importance to the clan had been lost for quite some time, it would be Nila's task to find and return the relic to her people. It took four long years but eventually she'd found what she was looking for, at a cost. A series of unfortunate events lead to her losing her family, friends, and home and since then Nila was wandered the land in search of a new home.

Appearance: Tall, lithe, and beautiful; Kresnik appears as a youth who was sculpted from marbles with the intricate hands of angels, with eyes of the richest violet. His hair is long and snow white; his skin a smooth alabaster. He has high cheekbones, slanted eyes, and a strong jawline. His muscles are quite defined despite his slender appearance. He wears brown leather breeches, knee-high boots, and a white button shirt.

Occupation: Village doctor/witch doctor

Skills: Swordplay; extensive knowledge of folklore and magic; alchemy for medical applications (such as creating blood substitutes and countering poisons and toxins), as well basic medical knowledge (first-aid).

Powers: Sangromancy and minor blood manipulation (his own blood and free-flowing blood can be manipulated into constructing any desirable objects). He is particularly powerful with wards and has some measure of talent with hypnotism. His blood is also unique in that it is capable of healing fatal wounds in others, if consumed, without the risk of the patient contracting vampirism, as well as extending the victim's life-expectancy by a small sum. Aside from this, he simply has enhanced reflexes and an enhanced sense of hearing and smell. He can also increase his strength and speed with the drinking of blood.

Inventory: A silver longsword with a rose carved into the base of the blade. In his private room at the Clinic, he has a trunk with his previous attire from his days in Korvania: a black leather long coat with silver plates at the shoulders, knee-high leather boots with silver plating, leather breeches with a leather skirt, a single silver claw gauntlet (right hand) that reaches the elbow, and a single studded leather bracer that reaches the knuckles and bound around the middle finger by a slender leather thong (left hand).

History: Kresnik is an outsider from a country far up north of Tanjozo called Korvania, hailing from the capitol city of Mitternacht. He remembers much of his childhood, with great detail and pain. Formerly a Night Hunter--a unique warrior whose quarry were those of the supernatural--Kresnik forsook his old life in lieu for peace rather than being dragged into countless civil wars brought about by the Church and the Aristocracy. He arrived in Tanjozo 3 years ago and bought a clinic with his remaining funds as to contribute to the village's peaceful lifestyle.

Point of Interest: Sunrise Clinic- After arriving in Tanjozo, Kresnik bought an abandoned two-story house and converted it into a clinic after months of repairs and stocking supplies for potions and antidotes, as well as furnishing the place to appear somewhat hospitable (ironically, the entire clinic appears dismal and gloomy).
