Unlike most Slimes, Metal Slimes do not use acid to weaken or kill their prey, instead they prefer to form blades from their bodies to slice their prey, or to take on snake-like forms to constrict and crush their prey to death. • Phantom Blade (Divine-Class): A Divine-Class Weapon given to Mercuria by her creator Circa. This weapon has a special ability that allows its blade to pass through physical protection magic of 7th-Tier or below.

Bio:

Mercuria Alpha is the creation of a female guild member named Circa, who was in charge of managing the guild's intelligence and covert operations. Mercuria's original purpose was assist her guild in the gathering of closely-guarded secrets by uncovering vulnerabilities of other guilds or individual players and to take care of any threats to the guild's operations with discretion. Unlike most player-made NPCs in YGGDRASIL, who were made to follow instructions given to them by their creator, Mercuria was designed to operate autonomously and independently, although due to the technical limitations of the game, it was obvious to other players that she was still an NPC. Less-observant players might be fooled to the point of believing that she was simply a very quiet and reclusive player.

The overall design of Mercuria's AI was focused on efficiency and effectiveness above all else, with little attention to the complexity of her personality or dialogue. However, Mercuria's spartan, efficient design was not due to a lack of care from her creator, but rather it was her creator's own quiet and calculating personality that influenced her design. As part of her autonomous design, Mercuria was created with the attributes of independence and self-sufficiency, specifically to "depend on no one but yourself".

Due to her limited interactions with the other players of the guild, Mercuria's presence within the guild halls was largely overlooked, but remains one of the guild's most dangerous hidden weapons. From the day Mercuria was created, her AI programming was largely unchanged by her creator, who strongly believed her ruthlessly efficient creation was "perfect" to begin with. It was until one day when Circa decided to quietly quit YGGDRASIL that she decided to permanently alter Mercuria's default humanoid form to match her own character's physical appearance as a strange form of farewell to her fellow guild members.

Now alone in the New World, Mercuria greatly misses the presence of her creator, despite having never been treated more than a simple automaton. Mercuria inwardly fears she was a failure to her creator and that her creator's dissatisfaction was the reason for her abandonment. She is also secretly envious of the other NPCs in the guild whose creators are also with them in the New World.

Bio: Lady♥Pastry in real life is a shy 20 something girl living happily alone with her mother. Working part time at a library where she has to be quiet, and stock books. All while being an accounting student at a fancy college. In her free time she enjoyed reading the occasional Graphic Novel with heavy comedy themes. This caused her to yearn to tell jokes, but was so scared of what others would say. People made her nervous when they talk to her, even if they were friendly. Which is why many just thought her for the snobby library aid. Due to her mother working for the top college in the nation as an accounting professor. Meaning all the fancy cars, and clothes. Not to mention attending the fancy college her mom works. But, none of this makes LP happy.

All she wants is to be able to step out of her introverted ways, and be able to tell jokes, make friends, and just have fun. So she often frequented RP sites so she could be that person, as their was a freedom being behind a computer screen. Not having to worry about anyone seeing your face or knowing who you really are. Nor even caring about who you’re related to. When she was told about YGGDRASIL, and how fun it was by a cyber friend. She knew this was the perfect place to be, to virtually inhabit the bodies of some of her most favorite RP characters. She had fun rping with friends, but never really decided to join any sort of guild. Finding them to be too much of a commitment, she liked being able to bounce around freely. Plus she couldn’t handle other people, and their drama, she’d plenty of her own baggage to deal with.

When her friends all started leaving the game either growing up, workings busy jobs, or having families she grew lonely. However, she enjoyed the gameplay in itself so didn’t give up on the game, instead continuing on alone. Deciding to instead focus on making, and leveling up a character that fit the personality she had. Unfortunately however, her jokes had turned more into shenanigans, as she’d grown desperate to get people to laugh with her, only instead for them to laugh at her.

It didn’t help her case that she’d decided to take up Joker, seeing as most found it to be a just a novelty class. Even despite its many uses in PvE, and even in an occasional PvP matches. Though they did still party with her due to her other four jobs as mage, monk, rogue, and beastmaster. Finding it to be a formidable combination. As a hobby she liked discovering weird secret paths, and other such tucked away secrets. Some even sharing their secrets she’d yet to discover as many found her easy to talk to after getting past her odd personality. As she was truly soft, caring, and warm like a mother’s hug and a warm drink. Figuring their secret places safe since she’d no friends for whom to share these secrets with.

Figuring it’d be a good change of pace she applied to join their guild. When LadyP discovered they were going to shut down the YGGDRASIL servers her heart sunk into her gut. Was this god’s divine punishment for enjoying the suffering of others? Or was it just as simple as not earning enough money to keep the servers running? Was she doomed to be an introvert forever? Either way LadyP decided a party was in order to celebrate how awesome their years in YGGDRASIL was. As she didn’t enjoy drinking too much, she just watched everyone else get snookered. Laughing at their drunken behavior or their lousy acting. As the last minutes ticked away something miraculous happened. They were teleported into the actual game itself! This terrified LP as she was worried she’d never see her mother again.

• Dance of fate (Use of Dance of fate causes his perception of time to slow, his movement speed to further increase, and his body to become slightly ethereal. While in this state Annwn can also utilize a more powerful form of slashing blink (5-7 hits being scored on each target instead of the usual 1-3) at will, with each first hit being scored counting as an automatic critical. He uses this skill sparingly due to the set up time and long 'cooldown'.)
• Defensive Roll (Allows Annwn to dodge particularly powerful attacks by ways of a special evasion. Triggers automatically upon an incoming attack passing a certain threshold )
• Dancers Grace (Enhances Annwn's strength, stamina, and natural resistance. However its greatest asset is that it allows Annwn to up his agility and base speed pass the limit cap of 100 for a short time)
• Night's Escape (a once a day skill, Annwn is able to instantly shadow blink to a safe location far away from a battle, usually far outside of the normal range for shadow blink or even some teleportation spells. This skill also overrides all holding spells beneath 5th level and a few above 6th, though any 10th level spells will still hold him no problem)
• Shadow Blink (A shadowdancer base skill/spell. Shadow blink is an at will spell that covers the caster in a thick smog like smoke, which rapidly dissipates only to form where the Shadowdancer has blinked to)
• Slashing Blink (the offensive variant of Shadow Blink, Slashing Blink allows Annwn to deal damage, equal to one to three hits, if his blink path intercepts any person or monster along the way. Annwn is able to perfectly copy humanoid creatures, as well as races, down to very minute details, such as birthmarks, scars, tattoos, odd patchy beard, etc. In this form he also gains the abilities and some powers of whomever he is copying, though at a weaker level.)

• Blighted Earth (magic rips up from the ground, creating large fissures that emanate with power and cause massive damage to those in the effected area. What it leaves behind is a wasteland, a grey sheet of ripped earth and rocky crags, save for a single white flower that grows at the center of the AOE)

Equipment:

• Geri and Freki (Divine): A pair of twin Dussack Knives. Their design is relatively plain, with only a few scratched on symbols adorning them. But despite their minimalist design, the pair hold true to their name sake (which translated means "the Ravenous"), as when one is cut with the blades the wound seems to be eaten away by an unseen force, stopping a few inches away from the wounded zone dealing death damage and giving the blades a stacking bonus to damage, penetration. If a target is killed with Geri and Freki, their body withers to a husk and grants the blades a massive bonus stack, equal to several normal stacks. As soon as the stacks grow beyond a fairly high number, Annwn can consume them to replenish health.
• Cestus (Legendary): A pair of finger-less gloves with metal attached to the knuckles and fingers. Meant for hand to hand engagements, Cestus naturally protects the wearer's hands during the engagement. But it's true power lies in its reactive buff that amplifies it's attack damage based on the amount of defense and health the target has. Conversely if the target has low health and armor Cestus will deal less damage, due the scaling.
• Song (Legacy): An enchanted Rope dart that is animated and is controlled by ones thoughts. As such Annwn usually uses Song as a third arm during combat, lashing out with it in blinding fast attacks, or for mid fight surprise attacks

• Dark Heart Armor (Legendary): A light leather armor made from dragon and manticore hide. It provides above average defense for armor of its class, as well as natural resistances to fire based attacks. A special quality of the armor is that it shifts and changes with Annwn's own changing. This means that he still is able to use its bonuses even if he looks like a normal farmer and his armor has transformed into the farmer's tunic. Annwn uses this armor most often when engaging in fights, or infiltrating areas.
• The Armor of the Rat King (Divine): Originally meant to be a mark of humiliation and shame by those of Annwn's first guild. The armor was originally a bottom tier, homemade mess of a hide armor, simply called "Rat's Armor". Even its text blurb was meant to insult, as it talked about how the armor was made "...from the skin of hundreds of rats, or a few Dopples. We cant ever tell the difference." Most would have disposed of it long ago, but for some reason Annwn held onto it, good thing he did too.
  
  Soon after joining Toasty's guild, Annwn approached the guild master with an odd request, to reforge and remake Rat's Armor into something respectable. Thankfully Toasty agreed and the process began, with Annwn sinking literal days of time and who knows how much money into gathering the items necessary to create what would become The Rat Kings Armor. At the end of it all the base bottom tier armor had been transformed by Toasty's hand and a number of magic items of various rarity that had been broken down for power and parts. It is now Annwn's favorite armor and he is often wearing it when not in the field.
  
  It provides decent resistances, and a bonus to agility, but its true power lies hidden within it. A power unlocked by a skill that was made using both endgame Doppelganger abilities in conjunction with the magic woven into the armor. The Omega Shift.
  
  Useing the Omega Shift, Annwn becomes something more. His form blurs and grows, turning into a huge spectral wraith rat simply known as the Avatar of the Plague. In this form he loses speed and agility, in exchange for an increase in damage output and phisical and magic resistance. In this rat form he also gains two abilities and a spell
• Summon the Plague: Summons a huge amount of the spectral rats summoned by Calling the Hungry, and he is able to control them unlike the normal spell, he will also summon four very over-leveled Dire rats called the Honor Guard when threatened. Always active passive ability.
• The everlasting Plague: In his Avatar form, Annwn is able to absorb health and MP from damage dealt both by himself and that rats he summons. Always active passive ability.
• Greater Fear: An upgraded fear spell, his very presence instills a sense of dread and terror in those around him. If ones resistance is high enough they will not flee, but still feel the need to avert their eyes due to discomfort, those who fail will flee.
• Mask of the Snarling One (Legacy): Grants physical attack and resistance bonuses. Annwins breath through this one sounds like the low snarl of a beast.
• Mask of the Laughing One (Relic): Allows Annwn the ability to track movement through walls. Annwn's breath through this one sounds like a chuckle
• Mask of the Silent One (Legacy): Grants Magic power and magic resist bonuses. Annwn's breath through this one sounds like the empty breeze of a burned out forest.
  
  
  Other Items
• Necklace- Amulet of the Blind: Provides the wearer with a automatic field against observation and scrying spells.
• Ring- Well Ring: In its base form, a magic ring that acts like a huge MP battery
• Ring- Stalkers stride: Makes all of Annwn's movements completely silent, or muffled.
• Health Potions of various strengths
• The Mark of the rat (Unique Event Item):

More like a slightly living Tattoo than an item, The Rat Mark is inked into Annwn's back and provides him with information like a permanent/fixed eye from Those of Secrets

Bio:

• Joining YGGDRASIL a few months after launch, the player who would come to be known as Annwn was immediately enthralled by the open ended world and those around him. He spent a good number of hours in his first week alone just going from town to town to just put them on his map, all the while with a big grin on his face. Of course this first week was also filled with a unusually high number of deaths, as various players who had rushed higher level gear would make a sport out of hunting heteromorphic characters due to "..them being just above monsters." But Annwn refused to let that discourage him, instead he adapted and learned that if he kept the guise of an elven player, the hunters would ignore him.
  
  As time went on Annwn leveled and played mostly alone, too shy to try and friend other people or even to accept friend requests, till the day he hit a roadblock. He had really done all he could alone to level up his chosen job skills alone, so in an odd moment for him he swallowed his fear and applied to a guild, the "Morrow hunters" or some other such name. Joining as their newest elf player (he hid the fact that he was a doppelganger, due to several factors) Annwn was furnished with better gear and set about his task alongside his new guild mates.
  
  And for a few months it was all well and good until the "Dance of the Rat king" event. A nutcracker themed event that occurred near Christmas, it was a relatively straightforward event of go in, do the thing, kill the big guy, get the special treasure. Only the catch was that the person who scored the killing blow on the Rat King would be granted a better treasure, and be soul bound to it. A fact that Annwn is blissfully unaware of, so one can guess the anger of the guild leaders (who had spent some time debating who would last hit) when some unknown player from their guild last hit the boss. And had used his skills as a doppelganger to do so.
  
  To put it short, Annwn left the guild lass than a month later, with both the Rat Mark and Rat Armor in tow. Once more on his own Annwn was pretty disillusioned about joining another guild, so for a time he didn't, in fact he took a good few month long break. But still he returned to the game. He was about ready to take anoth break when he decided in a rash action to join Toast's guild. What followed was some of the most fun that Annwn ever had, his skills in stealth and blinking abilities proving useful to the guild as both a spy and an enforcer. Eventually becoming one of the front-runners for both areas.
  
  For as long as he has been with the guild Annwn was a force of shy laughter and boundless optimism, undercut by his unusual enjoyment of his assassin type job. It was only natural for him to join the guild for one final night, little did he know what awaited him. Now caught in the New World, Annwn seems unfazed, almost blissfully happy. The reason behind which would be obvious to those who know him, he finally found what he was looking for in YGGDRASIL, a true escape from his hum-drum life as clerk at at local store

• He has a non-combat pet rat named Gnash
• While not needed Annwn will whistle while controlling Song
• Due to his shy personality Annwn likes to watch people he doesn't know more than talk to them and will sometimes freeze up if pressed into uncomfortable social situations
• Takes an odd enjoyment from combat
• He will often change form based on emotion, so long as he is around those he knows.
• Annwn is fearcly loyal to the guild, and follows orders. Hence why he is lawful evil
• His personal room in the guild hall is a bit odd (will explain later)
