Jokes aside, the whole "being part of information warfare, learning of a plot and then leaving" thing basically sounds as if he is getting away with learning some of the militaries deepest secrets. New Order will, without a doubt, be watching the information that flows in and out of the grid. If this conspiracy is as big as you say, it would not be out there for any old person in the DPS to find. And even if it was, they would have their best guys focussing their attention on it. The best case scenario is they find out, he is tracked down and has his brains blown out by New Order operatives. Worst case is they drag him away and torture and experiment on him until they are either satisfied and kill him, or he dies under the strain. Being let go from something like this, even if he no longer is part of the military, is not something that happens without a high up or twos design. With the way New Order is, with everything that is going on, it just doesnt make sense.

With the way New Order is... they wouldn't like clusterfucks and would most likely call DSP a rouge agency and kill anyone involved with Operation Gunrunner and Project Undershaft. This would also mean some good portion of the high ups.

Everyone being in the same boat, it would make sense that they would decide to bury it with threats, bribes and promotions.

Okay, I will admit, thats a pretty solid reason. But, you forget that New Order isn't above killing their own for their own goals. I only just realised something that involves both Nick and the reason he is who he is now. Short version is his dad was a higher up (more or less) and they put him on parade for the sole reason to have him killed by Nick. Then, Nick joined the New Order and the rest will remain a mystery ^_^

Because of the nature of Kasper's work, he rarely uses uniforms and prefers the use of civilian attire that best suits the district he is operating in. The most notable pieces of equipment he uses the majority of the time is the LBT-1961A chest rig and, less commonly, the FAST helmet.

For over a decade, Kasperov has been involved in the war against the resistance. He has not only survived, but has also excelled in the field of covert operations through hard work, insatiable curiosity, brutal honesty and exceptional leadership. Combat, espionage and constant training have defined his adult life. His tactical experience has become a part of his instinct.

Though fully aware and confident of his abilities, Kasper understands that his survival has often been a gift of chance. He knows he is human and that he is fallible, and he does not want to die. Highly-trained, skilled and experienced, Konrad possesses a distinctly dark sense of humor, which he uses to control his fears and keep himself calm while in the field.

But in order to achieve the discipline required for his work, Kasperov has had to bury certain aspects of himself and his humanity. His ability to detach himself emotionally from the immediate situation in order to better achieve his objectives is an exceptional attribute. In a sense, he has become what he does. However, his emotions have been known to surface. Kasper has acquired an admirable collection of scars, war experiences, and a place in the nation's history. He has little left to prove to the world and he has no interest in glory, unlike many of his colleagues. If Konrad fights, it is because he believes he is capable of provoking a positive change.

Equipment:
Having the support of SIS, Kasper is able to freely choose whatever he wishes or needs to equip himself with. This results in Kasper having access to relatively futuristic gear in comparison to the military or the resistance, since this technology was designed and created by the great minds in the R&D departments of the New Order.

Kasper's assault rifle of choice is the Special Operations Combat Rifle (SOCR), a spiritual successor to the Magpul Masada. It is an assault rifle platform designed by Weapons Design Bureau Zero and is chambered in 300 AAC Blackout, whose ballistics are similar to the Soviet 7.62x39mm ammunition. The rifle boasts superior accuracy, damage and reliability over the obsolete M4 system that uses the 5.56x45mm NATO round.



This masterpiece of an automatic pistol is a custom model of the M1911A1, incorporating high-precision parts for improved performance. It's capacity is limited to seven rounds, but the .45ACP ammunition boast excellent stopping power and the gun's simple design makes it highly reliable. This gun has belonged to Kasper since his days in the military.



Skills:
A highly skilled soldier, Kasper was selected for and passed the qualifications to become a member of the 2nd Special Warfare Group. During the War on Utopia, he became good at working with the local civilians and obtaining intelligence that was used to take out suspected war criminals. This background later helped in his acceptance into the SIS.

He is acknowledged as one of the finest Servicemen in his lifetime by his superiors. He led and participated in various special operations in Utopia controlled districts. At some point during his time in the military, Konrad spent nearly two years as an intelligence analyst.

He left the military at the age of 28, having attained the rank of Major, after receiving an offer to join the New Order Intelligence and Logistics Section (also known as the SIS).

Recruited into the SIS, Konrad worked in information warfare. At a later point, Kasperov was a part of a joint investigation between the SIS and the IFO-B that led him to a conspiracy that involved the SIS and the High Council.

This resulted in Konrad leaving the SIS and going independent.

During this time, Kasper was contracted by the military as a special consultant. This allowed him to gain many contacts in the military and the government.

After this, Kasper returned to the SIS as a Paramilitary Operations Officer under the request of an old friend.

Currently, Kasper leads a paramilitary team called Masako under the code name 'Kozak'.

Other:

• Kozak is a spelling of the Russian word for Cossacks, Kazaki. Cossacks are a group of predominantly East Slavic people who originally were members of democratic, semi-military communities in Ukraine and Southern Russia.
• Kasper's left eye is green and his right is blue, due to Heterochromia iridum.
