I'm looking to start a fun Kingdom Hearts roleplay. So let me make sure I post all of my ideas and see if anyone is interested.

The Story

-Set for anime and gaming worlds, instead of Disney ones (though, we can choose some of those as well)
-Based on one group of three people, unless there is more interest. If there is, we can make separate groups
with different goals that may eventually lead up to a climactic event.
-Long term.

Posting Requirements
-2 to 5 paragraphs with fair content. I am not looking for a giant mass, nor am I looking for something small. If posts are too large then the progression of the story gets stifled, and if they are too small, then they get boring.
-Being paragraph roleplaying, I want actual paragraphs. Not chat roleplay structure.

Mechanics
I would like to keep the characters that we use to loosely fit the mechanics of the KH's universe, but with character specific magic abilities. Some characters may specify in one or two types of magic, but I don't think being able to use magic of every element allows for very balanced characters. We should go for balanced teams over balanced individuals.

I would like measurable character progression. Starting out weak and becoming more powerful as things progress.

Oh right.. Keyblades should cut. (Unless you want to use it as a mace, I guess.). This is a world where you can suffer from cuts, burns, breakage, etc. Healing through magic is certainly possible, but it should take a reasonable amount of time.

Interested, although, when it comes to the gaming and Anime worlds, may need alittle help if we go into a place not familiar with. I love KH but I'm not a huge anime fan

The idea that I have is that those involved will pitch in ideas of places they would like to visit as apart of the story, that way everyone has worlds that they are interested in going to. That way, we all work together to build the story.

By posts, do you mean how much at once? Or like.. Type of fighting? I'm not quite sure what specifically you are asking about.

i mean as how much. i can usually do about a paragraph or two without feeling like i have to much control :O

I like to have between 2 and 5 paragraphs. If you only want to run 2 paragraphs each post, then I am more than fine with that.

i could possibly do more, but alright :D
thinking back i was using a bit less detail and more speech/actions than anything. so i can fill in with much more detail than i used to. looking back i see that was a flaw of mine. in this i shall improve.

already have a combat style in mind, just need to design the character now XD

Okei.

Ive been chatting with the other person who showed interest. We were going to have characters with some innate abilities that get unlocked through having a Keyblade, but they will be learning a skill or power based on each world they visit. That way, fighting progression can follow along with the stories progression.. if that makes sense

It makes plenty of sense. if it helps, i plan on having a defensive type character. think goofy, since he always rand around with a shield and was basically a tank .3.

as far as the keyblades themselves, will we start with them, or will events unfold that reveals/gives them to us?

I think doing an event that leads up to that would be fun. Or maybe having just two of us starting out and having one person meet up with them who has a little more experience with them

hmmm... how experienced are we talking if we take that approach?

Someone who has an idea or some theories of whats going on, but not so far ahead that the other cant catch up to reasonably quick.

i think an event could be rather fun and eventful. so would we start out in a sort of transport/hotel world of sorts? or in the middle of some sort of conflict?

Maybe a simple hub world. Two friends jsut doing whatever and then the world starts becoming infected by the Heartless. That might be when the third more experienced character comes in to help

@Double I am hoping to get 3 other people to make a second party that seems to be at odds with the one my character is in, and have them sort of butt heads but then realize they are on the same side.

If I can get around two more people, I think that would work perfectly.

EDIT:

I have a second person interested in the second party. You both could work it out together and we can try to get a third person involved. Assuming that you are interested in doing it that way, which was my original intention anyway. xD
