Possibly age and factors that affect age, but I think if there is a timeskip; then it will be one that stays within the lifetime of active characters.

Siegfried is practically immortal. Age doesn't affect him because of the dragon blood.

Fair enough. I assume @The Harbinger of Ferocity has a fairly long-lasting character, and @Belwicket's character is rather young and I believe durable age wise as well; @Jon Y's is pretty young and half-elf; @Letter Bee's is also pretty young.

How long the timeskip will be is the question I think; we have some mortal characters so obviously centuries would take some out of the loop unless they had near-exact descendents. I think a cap of 30 years skip is reasonable; everyone should still be alive at that point from what it looks like unless I missed an active person who has a character that wouldn't last that long. Not in their primes, but at the least it would give them the experience to handle some of the other things cooking up.

Location switch I have taken a liking to, if only for a fresh start, and something that I would think better especially if the timeskip was shortened to say, 5 years or so. It would allow for a unique setting, shift of timelines, leave behind characters that "died" in this RP and give those who want to drop out a story-plausible reason for not being involved. And it would probably help with the rather awkward ending we have here.

Also, what do you folks think of this starting back up post-holidays? I'm thinking that would be most convenient and allow for the holiday slowdown to pass over, and give plenty of time for @IcePezz and myself to build some things up.

From my stand point I was going to retire The Red because of the distance of time and that he is still just a man at his core, albeit forever changed and altered by supernatural aspects. He also was not that young to begin with, so time would have taken its toll - either way, he would have ended up in the animal afterlife of the Beastlands assuming this is still all very loosely based off of Dungeons and Dragons material.

That said, I can work with much of anything - all I really need is an outcome of the previous events to establish motivation as to why the wild world would send another champion, if not a more defined one.

In addition, starting after the holidays I can see as almost mandatory; I doubt many would post aside from myself and perhaps another or so, given my schedule does not vary during that time.

@IcePezz

First off,

'Ello again, I couldn't help clicking the link in your sig and it brought me here.

I see there is a huge discussion going on here about the future of this. Whatever you decide to do next, count me in. I'd love to join.

Edit: I think I have met a few of you before... =.=

@ArenaSnow lol I suppose I'm stuck then, eh? :p

It'll be a matter we should decide upon as a group, I feel. Of course we'll have to go over how to conclude certain matters, such as the dragon battle.

@Crimson Raven such a welcome sight, to see you here. Unfortunate that you must see it all unravel :p But submit a cs whenever you're ready :)

Wherever/whenever this ends up continues, you're welcome to join.

Could be a good thing too, my character can make a brief appearance (like any good teaser) and after whatever you decide I can continue with him.

Oh hey, I remember this RP. After all this time, I never removed it from my list of subscribed... things. Subscription list, I suppose I should have said.

I've been looking for Fantasy RPs as of late. I wonder, if you do choose to make a sequel of sorts, would there be any changes to the character creation rules/guidelines that you can fathom being made?

I believe the rules won't change much. At least, I can't see that happening, unless Icepezz has something in mind.

So long as you're in for the long run, welcome aboard :)

So, we have a vote for a 5 year skip. Anyone else have a thought on it?

I see. I ask because, I remember when this RP started, Pezz was a lot more lenient in regards to player races. I would've joined back then, except I had difficulty thinking of the specifics behind mine. I wonder if things would've been different had I joined with that... *Commence Alternate History Novels. :V*

I suppose what I was really asking is if there'd be any changes to that particular thing. I mean, I'm finding it a bit hard to find Fantasy RPs I think I could fit in... in, and I'm one of those stubborn wankers who makes characters and looks for RPs to insert them in, not the other way around. :V

Interesting to see a few familiar faces as well in the form of @Crimson Raven as well as @HHShetland.

My vote is for anything over a twenty-five year skip, as to me it makes the most sense as to why these events are not just inherently linked otherwise. I highly doubt you would see much of anything but recurring villains and a few previous heroes, as if I understand how the demons seem to play, they go for the longer term plan.

So there's a couple of veteran characters, but a lot of new faces who don't understand demons the same way. Maybe the previous characters have been thwarting these particular demons for years now, and have grown quite familiar with each other

@The Harbinger of Ferocity,@The Fated Fallen, back from my psychologist.

Anyway, a thought; can Ioannes have gained enough prestige to overthrow the Girayid Oligarchy yet?

I would imagine that would be your call, and if he did, did any of the other characters help him? How did he achieve it? What is happening in Giray now?

Essentially, yes. The returning cast has had ample time to know their enemy as well as develop their individual objectives and goals. The return of the evil of the past, even elements thereof, would provide great reason for them to take up arms again and cross familiar paths. Some might have stayed together, but I see it being just as likely others might have gone their separate ways; a fairly even split.

To answer @Letter Bee's question, that's more of something up to @IcePezz and @ArenaSnow given they operate the world's aspects. With twenty five or more years, I do not see why your character could not have done so; there's significant time, planning and execution to be done for that, but with a time skip that large, there's no reason it could not work to my understanding. It would likely just need explanation in the backstory.
