Location: The Henderson Estate.

Raquel rolled over in her bed at the sound of her alarm clock blaring it's annoying tone early this morning. From her nestled cocoon, she stretched her hand out and shut the device off as she rolled to lay on her back now and stare up at the ceiling. It was the day after Christmas and she'd be expecting some people soon though some had arrived last night after their Christmas with their own families. She removed the covers from over her body then waltzed down the stairs in her red nightgown with a robe wrapped around her. She could smell the food that her chefs were preparing for everyone and could see the butlers setting the table. She smiled with absolute glee as she stared outside her front window, seeing if anyone new had arrived yet.
Her ears twitched as footsteps could be heard behind her. It was Dennis, who arrived last night. A very old high school friend and rival, most of the time. She smiled towards him and walked in the direction he was coming from. "Hey there, sleepyhead." Her voice sang as they walked in the kitchen, Dennis reached for a piece of toast but Raquel smacked his hand and pointed her index finger at him. "Not until everyone gets here." Raquel eyed him then waved her arms around. "So, what do you think of the Estate? Had a chance to look around yet?" She asked him as he shook his head and replied. "Not really but I will along with the others." He said while quickly grabbing a piece of toast and running out of the kitchen and back to his room upstairs.
She'd have to make a mental note that she'd have to teach him a lesson later. Her eyes rolled as she looked out front again, anticipating everyone's arrival as she looked down at what she had on and thought that she couldn't greet anyone at the door with the get up she had on. Raquel called her most trusted caretaker, Edward and gave him simple instructions. "Do not open that door for anyone until I am out of the shower and fully dressed. Got it?" Edward nodded his head and turned heel when Raquel ran up the stairs and towards her bathroom.
She quickly showered, lathering her body with Cinnamon body wash, which soon filled up her room and little bit of the hallway. Raquel finished her shower and her other getting ready routine, which required her applying a little bit of makeup to her face and styling her hair. She placed on a little, blue, long sleeved dress that went well over her knees and a pair of blue heels to match. She waltzed down the stairs then went over to her music player and started playing Christmas music. Since it was still that time of the year, basically.
Raquel sighed and made sure she looked the part then looked over towards Edward with a head nod. "Open up.." She stretched out her arms and hands towards the double doors and sang. "The doors." As if she was Elsa from Frozen when she sung open up the gates. She giggled a little as the chefs had prepared the table with the breakfast now and Dennis was coming down the stairs again.
She went into fierce mode. "You little, seething rat." She hissed towards him with a smile as Dennis, who had adorned his body with a buttoned up shirt and Khaki pants along with a pair of Vans, stopped at the third step from the bottom and chuckled. "Good morning to you, too, Khalessi." With a wink, Dennis walked into the dining hall as she waited for everyone to arrive. When everyone did arrive, the caretakers were instructed to take their bags and Edward was instructed to send them towards the dining hall. She eyed Dennis, whom had already fixed him a plate. "Are you starving or something? Didn't you get enough to eat last night at dinner?" She cooed while walking towards the head of the table, standing beside her seat still looking at Dennis.
"I did but I have high metabolism. I need to eat to survive." Dennis replied as Raquel shook her head. She looked at the breakfast of eggs, scrambled and sunny side up, pancakes, sausage, both link and patty, bacon, turkey and applewood and buttermilk, homemade biscuits along with a glass of milk and orange juice. She applauded her chefs for the fantastic breakfast. Her ears twitched as she heard a couple of cars coming down the driveway of the estate. "Let's meet them at the door." She squealed as Dennis grabbed his plate and ran right after her.
Raquel stood there with a smile and in a greeting manner but Dennis was stuffing his face with the breakfast. "Sorry." He said with his mouth full as Raquel looked at him with the shake of his head. As the cars came close and close, they both wondered who it was arriving already.
