He would look confused when he spoke of the goal of the orphanage "..so.. this place is for people like me?" he asks more as to wanting to confirm what he just heard than anything else. "...When ever I try to do something good it usually ends badly.." he states looking down, thinking about when he tried to help a foster family he had lived with... and was thrown out because of it.

"People like us." Leo corrected William's statement. He then stretched out his hand and a wooden sword appeared on his hand. "Materialization. That's my power." He said before it disappeared into nothingness once more. "A lot of people are not capable of accepting our powers, thus why we are sent here." He said. He was definitely sad because of that fact but such was life. There wasn't really anything they could do about it but to accept it.

Thomas waved politely to each of the newcomers in turn. He wasn't really suited to showing people around anyway, and the housekeeper had asked him to stay nearby. Wondering who this new arrival that would need his help would be, he found himself a clear patch of wall to lean on. Closing his eyes, he expanded his focus and immersed himself in the emotional currents of the house. It was something he did often, as it allowed him to be aware of it if anyone was hurt or sad or angry, and thus pass the information along to the caretaker.There was always a pervading sense of sadness in the house, an undercurrent of depression that colored every little feeling that touched him. Adrift in a sea of other people's emotions, Thomas bided his time until the much-awaited newcomer would show up.

Katherin took a deep breath as the odd man helped her out of the car. She was excited and scared about this. She wished she knew where she was. "You will like it here. They will take care of you and guide you." he told here before knocking on the door. She frowned when she heard him turn and walk away. Now she could only hope that the people in the building he had left her at were everything he had told her. She didn't know what she would do if they woukdnt allow her to stay.

An equal mix of anxiety and excitement was the first warning Thomas received of another arrival. As he narrowed his focus, returning from the near out-of-body experience, he heard a car door close outside. When a knock came he opened the door, ignoring the sound of retreating footsteps. Such occurences were not uncommon when new charges were dropped off.

"Hello and welcome. Please, do come in," Thomas greets the fourth newcomer of the day, stepping to one side of the door. "Breakfast is almost ready, if you're hungry, and I'm sure someone will be along to show you to a room shortly."

Ivonette heard her stomach growl. She was hungry. She nudged Archer.
"I'm hungry," she told him. He laughed softly.
"We'll go to the dinning room. Don't eat the walls," he told her before wheeling her out of their room, heading for the smell of glorious food.

Katherin tilted her head at the sound of the door opening. A boy about her age she guessed from the sound of the voice. She licked her lips nervously. Umm... Hello. My name is Katherin. I am suppose to ask for a Thomas. I was told he would be the best one to show me around. I apologize for the incovience but could you tell me exactly where you are?"it always took her awhile to get used to new places. Most of the time she never to the chance to adapt completely before she was liked out. She had been assured that woukdnt happe here but she had heard that before.

Leon sat in the back of the car with the man who was supposed to bring him to this orphanage, some government guy with dark glasses and not much to say. Leon had been talking the poor guys ear off with barely even time to take a breath. The man had only ever replied with grunts and nods to anything Leon had to say. When the car pulled up he stepped out and grabbed his bag and made it to the porch in a flash of motion. there was someone already standing there, two people in fact, so Leon decided to greet them, "Hey there, Name's Leon, nice to meet you, here to stay."

"Oh. I understand now. I think you'll find that you and I are even more alike than any of the others here," Thomas says cryptically, smiling. Taking a deep breath and bracing himself, he reaches out with his right hand. As soon as his fingertips touch her shoulder, his own anxious excitement is completely washed away by Katherin's emotions. Over the course of the few seconds that it takes for him to wrangle his power back to a manageable level, he knows that she is feeling his emotions as strongly. During this moment, another student approaches and introduces himself, unnoticed by Thomas. The silence stretches out a moment longer as he catches his breath.

"Sorry about that... My name is Thomas, and I'm afraid that was inevitable. I can't see any better than you."

"Well Will, this here is your room." Leo said as he opened the door to the male's room. It was on the second floor so it was quite a little bit farther than the others. "Just head to the dining room after alright? You have any questions, go to Thomas, the owner or me. Now to greet the others." He said before waving goodbye and leaving the new arrival to himself.

He slid down the stairs using the railing and landed perfectly on the ground. He then headed towards the door to wait for further instructions. He was pretty sure that Thomas would be the one handling the female since that was what he heard from the owner earlier. Then the other male would be given to him later on. Well, he would just wait for the opportunity to speak up once Thomas has given the cue.

@FateWeaver Katherin jumped at the sound of a second male voice. She had been so focused on the boy at the door that she hadn't been listening. She blushed at the unexpected touch. She hoped her skin wasn't too cold. Because of her ablitity she tended to be colder then most people. She was taken by surprise when unfamiliar emotions went through her. She had never exprienced anything like it. She perked up when the boy, Thomas he introduced himself, said he was blind too. She had never met another blind person. "Wow. I guess that explains why he thought you could helpme. I appologize I don't have my cane. The benefactor said he woukd have another one sent here but until then I will need a guide."@makarov

It took a moment for Thomas to notice the others around once he recovered.

"Sorry, I was a little... drisacted there for a moment. Please come in. I'm sure..." a brief moment of focusing on the familiar emotions of someone nearby revealed their identity. "Leo! Would you please show our newest arrival to a room? I'm a little busy at the moment," Thomas says with a brief gesture towards Katherine. Turning back to her, he moves his light touch down along her arm until he can take her hand and lead her into the room.

"You may find that you don't need a cane while you're here. They haven't moved any of the furniture since I moved in, and with the exception of one or two rooms, there's almost always something within arms reach. Besides that, I'm sure our caretaker will be having me guide you until you feel comfortable. She's saved you the room next to mine, on the second floor. Breakfast is probably ready by now if you're hungry though..." Thomas explains as he leads Katherine out of the way of the door and any others. His free left hand rises a little until his fingertips brush the nearby wall, confirming their position in his mind.

@FateWeaverKatherin didn't like the idea of depending on someone. She had take care of herself most of her live. It was worried to think someone would help her now. But despite her reservations she didn't have much choice. "Breakfast sounds wonderful. I haven't eaten.,.she stopped herself before she admitted just how long it had been since she had had a meal. He didn't really want to know that. She followed him with slow cautious steps. She felt around her as she moved into the building, she wanted to learn her way around as quickly as she could.

Because of their physical contact, Thomas was unable to completely shut out Katherine's emotions. Similarly, he couldn't entirely hold his feelings away from her. He could feel her distaste and worry at being led around like she was helpless. Sympathetic to the feeling, he frowned. Unfortunately, he could see no way around it until she got used to her surroundings. On the way to the dining room he talked, trying to distract them both from their nerves.

"I'm sorry about... well, I know how odd this must feel. It's about as close as you can get to reading someone's mind without seeing what they are thinking. For the most part, I should be able to... well, keep the two of us seperate, in that sense. I understand if you'd like to ask our caretaker for someone else to guide you." Despite his words, Thomas rather hoped she wouldn't. It was exciting to share a portion of what he constantly felt with someone else. He usually didn't touch anyone besides the woman who took care of them all, precisely because the contact was so pervasive and intimate. As he walked with Katherine, the smell of breakfast cooking got stronger ahead of them.

The police officer in the passenger seat shifted nervously. He was a rookie and it showed. He'd clearly never dealt with people like Haven before. His partner looked at him from the drivers seat and an amused smirk crossed his face. "Relax Carrington, she's not lethal. Nah, she's a healer" He spit the word as if it was a joke. His eyes met hers in the rear view mirror. "Aren't ya kid?"

Haven wasn't sure if he was asking if she was dangerous or if she was a healer but either way, rolled her eyes and went back to looking out the window. She clutched the worn denim backpack in her lap a little tighter. She was nervous as hell but there was no way she was letting these men know that. Predators could smell a nervous prey a mile away. She didn't know if these men were...predatory...but she wasn't going to chance it. Bad stuff happened before and could happen again.

The patrol car pulled up to the entrance of the orphanage. The officer in the driver's seat got out of the car, made his way around the back and opened Haven's door. "Here ya are, sweetheart. They know you're coming so you just gotta knock." Haven stepped out, a twitch of a smile threatened her face when she realized Officer Scaredy-Cat stayed in the car. She slung the bag on her right shoulder and stepped to the door. The officers left before she even lifted her hand to knock. Well, thanks for the ride guys, she thought. She was clearly on her own now. Here goes nothing. She lifted her clenched fist and pounded on the door.

"Please don't think it is you Thomas. I don't mind feeling...well, whatever...it's just I have never really had help before. Ie pretty much taken care of myself. I don't want to get used to having help."Katherin explained. She wasn't sure that she understood their connection. It wasn't one she has experinced before. It was interesting though. She coud feel his confidence. She assumed Thomas had been at the orphanage awhile by what he had said earlier.

"That should be the last one and we can get breakfast started."The housekeeper said to herself. She headed to the door once again. She would e glad to get the days schedule started. With so many different children there was always alittle choas. But she sue ally kept them someone Whst on track. That was what the Benefactor paid her to do.

Ivonette's stomach growled.
"When do you think we'll get breakfast?" Ivonette asked.
"I don't know, I'll go ask. Don't eat the table or anything while I'm gone," Archer told her, before walking off to find the housekeeper. He walked towards the door where he had seen her last.
"How long do you think it'll be till breakfast," he asked once he found the house keeper.

@BlackCat"About ten minutes maybe less. We have one more arrival,"The housekeeper answered. She looked at her watch. It was getting late. "There is some fruit on the table if you can't wait."

He nodded as Leo took off.. he walked into the room to see how it was, he took a deep breath sitting his bag down on the bed and opens it pulling out a small toy figure and he would look at it smiling for a few seconds before putting it back away and leaves the bag on the bed before following the path that they took to get to the room, back to the dinning room.

He would look to see another talking with the housekeeper, he would walk into take a seat seeing another "um hello" he says Ivonette as he takes a seat on opposite side of the table.

Haven walked through the door opened by the housekeeper. The woman didn't say anything to Haven before addressing someone else in the room. That was unexpected. I could be a murder or something. Unless she can read my mind... her thoughts trailed off as she took in her surroundings. There didn't appear to be as many children here as there were at the other home she had been to. In fact, the few people she could see all appeared to be at least her age with the exception of a small girl she could hardly see sitting at a table across the room. It looked like people were sitting down for breakfast. As if it took her acknowledgment of the food as a signal, Haven's stomach growled. She decided to forgo any niceties and made her way straight for the table. She sat on an open end, without looking at anyone specific.
