Clocking in at a hearty 6'1 and 185 pounds, Hansel is your typically tall young German man, complete with piercing blue eyes full of creative light, and blonde hair that wouldn't look out of place upon a son of Apollo. Due to years of learning to work a forge from a young age, his arms and back are corded and powerful, sinew easily visible in the forearms as testament to years of work and indicative of monstruous grip strength. He may not lift, but he's certainly no weakling. His facial features toe the line between handsome and rugged, with a square jaw and light dusting of beard to accentuate it and indicate roughly how many days it's been since he last remembered to step away from projects and studies and do the "shaving" part of personal hygiene. Expression has two extremes most of the time: classically Teutonic stoicism, and raving enthusiasm as his eyes drink up the light of something on fire.

Clothing Style:

Simple and practical on most days, prefers coats in the winter. Owns a Gas Mask and a flame-retardant combat uniform. Used more rarely than you'd think, less rarely than you'd hope. Same goes for his self-made set of Gothic Plate, which can often be found cheekily disguised as a sleeveless undershirt, puppy slippers, and cozy sleeping pants.

With a tall man oftentimes comes a tall glass of personality, and Hans is far from an exception to the rule. Naturally willing to learn and interested in some more eccentric things, who he is stands out almost as much as his perpetually angry-sounding accent. A friendly man, he's always willing to listen or speak, even if it's something he doesn't quite get. However, that friendliness isn't to say he'll roll over if you step to him wrong. Iron-willed as any good young man, he adamantly sticks to his ways will gladly stand up for them, staring anyone down before promptly wrestling them to the ground or engaging in a gallant swordfight. At his heart, Hansel is but an eager creator, loving nothing more than to make things he finds cool and put them to the test. However, despite how humble these desires are, the man himself is proud, both of his own handmade creations and his homeland and heritage. Hansel is here to represent Himself, His Father, and His Fatherland, and he intends to do it the only way he knows how: Making Awesome Stuff.

Background:
Born and raised in an unnamed German town that was likely once the coziest little village one came across in the Holy Roman Empire, Hansel was from a young age raised by a single mother, an eccentric yet excellent uncle, and two doting grandparents with visits from his Father from time to time, usually during special occasions (at least once a year, and most birthdays). Having accepted the reasoning behind his usual absence as "important business trips", Hans promptly looked to his mother's elder brother to shape him growing up, and found within that man everything cool in the world. Smithing, tales of Knights, Historical European Martial Arts, military engineering... you name it, that uncle knew about it and taught him about it, as long hours spent in the shop after school flew by, turning into days, weeks, months, and years. And while these interests may seem strange to most, every time that Dad of his popped up and Hansel showed off his latest sketch or project, he was met with a beam of pride, a word of praise, and best of all, a sentence of critique. He had so much learning to do!

Fast forward to the age of 18, when Hansel finally decided to put some thought into his situation, and asked about his father. Surprise surprise, he's only the God of Smiths and Fire, nothing too big. Oh, and you're also moving to America to go to some college called Olympus Academy. Has essentially no issues with Dad, considering his consistent, if necessarily sparse, role as a mentor and thorough explanation of his responsibilities as, you know, a God. Keeps up with him fairly regularly compared to some of his peers, typically through writing and bouncing wild ideas off of one another.

Godly Abilities:

Teutonic Efficiency: After learning to uncork the mastery of craftsmanship locked inside his Vulcanic genetics, Hansel is a natural smith and engineer that can find ways to produce a wide variety of weapons, gadgets, and vehicles in ways and with materials that, really, shouldn't normally work.

Kriegsmesser: Can in addition give said creations "disguises", allowing them to transform into objects of much more pedestrian utility than what they typically end up being. A longsword can become a kitchen knife, a lance a ballpoint pen, a flamethrower guitar a regular guitar. Things like that.

The Crucible: In accordance with his father's domains, Hansel can in a pinch use any contained source or generator of heat for smelting. This does not include human bodies.

Maria has a slim and beautiful hour-glass figure, standing at only 5'6. Her deep chocolate brown eyes, are soulful but at times filled with hidden pain and burdens she bears. She always hides it with her loving and warm smile as it tends to take away the attention. With her lightly tanned skin and beautiful dark hair-she's a vision of beauty. Marianna's skin is flawless and there are no birth defects, tattoos or scars on her body. Her hair is usually styled in different ways-ranging from a bun, to being loose and curly, to a pony tail to a plait or straight with layers. Marianna is a sweet young girl, that always puts others before herself. She is always there if someone needs a helping hand, or someone to listen to them and talk to. Born in Italy, Rome. Marianna Costa is the youngest daughter of a strict, and important business man/lawyer Ricardo and daughter of Hecate. Marianna has 2 mortal siblings-two older brothers; whom she does not have much in common with. They do not understand each other and her step-mother is not much of a joy to be around. She fusses over her two boys and over-looks her constantly, for not being her own child...she resents that her father had a child with another woman in their short split. Growing up, in such a strict and unpleasant house-hold, Marianna became withdrawn and submissive. She never spoke out of turn, if she did-she suffered in silence and kept her feelings to herself. Writing and nature have always been her escape from reality-and it's something that keeps her at peace.

She never really knew much about her own heritage-only hearing of myths and legends about the Olympians and admiring their children and gifts. When she turned 11, that was the first time she discovered her powers-It was almost dinner time-her step mother and father were fixing the dinner in the kitchen, whilst the drinks were already laid out. It was just her and one of her step brothers in the dining room. As always, he was trying to put her down and agitate her. Taking everything in silence, she felt a sudden rush of power and anger curse through her veins. When he left the room for a few seconds-she could see a strange mist seep through her hands and enter his drink. Tainting it with poison....after Dinner, her step brother fell ill and was suffering from some odd hallucinations and visions. Being rushed to the hospital, the doctors tried to find out what was wrong; finding he was suffering from food poisoning. Putting it down to her step-mother's cooking, they kept him in for a few nights till he recovered.
Marianna was the only one that stayed home; feeling shocked and confused by the sudden and confusing events; feeling some guilt rushing through her. She decided to take a walk, in the woods near by. That same night, she was watching the moon in the sky and she felt drawn towards it, more than she had during her life. Discovering her powers of the moon-it wasn't long before she found out that she was special. Marianna tried to keep it a secret; but her own father knew she was different....He just never told her, wanting to keep it a secret in hopes her powers would never come through.

When she finally turned 15 years old-Hecate finally came down to her daughter and told her off her heritage. After spending many years watching over her child, she wanted her to know the truth and that she had been there, when others were not-even if she could not be seen. Naturally, Marianna was shocked and a bit scared about what was to come. She got accepted into the Academy 2 years ago-and she is still searching for her true path and goal in life. Even with other people like her around-she's worried about not fitting in and people judging her. But the Academy has been more of a home to her than Italy ever had been.

Marianna doesn't really know Hecate that much. The goddess had appeared in her life a few times over her child-hood; mostly watching and protecting her whilst growing up. They have spoken a few times; that was when Marianna found out about her heritage about a Demi-Goddess and what she could do. In a way, Marianna admires her mother and looks up to her, and wishes they would be a little bit closer. She longs to get to know Hecate a bit more-and she hopes that her mother will turn up one day again.

Godly Abilities:

Daughter of the Moon: Marianna has the ability to possess magic over the moon. The power is rather dangerous yet handy at the same time; if she is wounded she can control and draw out the moon's magic and heal herself. If controlled for long enough, Marianna has the ability to turn into a large dog/wolf. The magical essence in the moon, helps her ability with shape-shifting. Marianna has only form and one only-the wolf is her chosen form. However, she can also unleash secrets and dark magic, if she looses control or taps into another essence of the moon, that she cannot control.


Poison Generation and immunity: Marianna possess knowledge and power over poison. There are several ways she can use this power. Her powers allow her to create and manipulate food and drinks so they become poisonous. To the naked eye, they may look delicious, but one taste and they're deadly.

She can create and manipulate various poisons-some create hallucinations, pain inducement, some burn and create nausea and some are lethal, resulting in paralyses or death.

Marianna herself is immune to certain poisons herself, due to her genetic coding and ability to manipulate poison. However only some can harm her to an extent most of them do not have the full affect on her system due her immunity.

Marianna also possess some knowledge over Magic, but she is not as developed with some magic like her Demi-god siblings and is still learning.

@Altered Tundra I've been looking for another Demigod-based RP to hop into after the previous one I attended took a dive into oblivion. And by the sound of things, this one just opened back up? I was hoping I could insert an old character of mine here (reworked so he fits better within this setting, of course), a angst-riddled son of Demeter that has a habit of dragged along on endeavors by much happier people.

As far as posting goes, are the pictures absolutely necessary for posting? As long as I've had my character, I never did find an actor I would think matches the likeness of my character (though, it seems your character, Jay, checks off a few of Gabe's appearance details which I thought was kind of funny). Could I show you the old sheet to see how much of the existing information lines up with what's presented here?

You made a mention on how he wasn't looking forward to having siblings. It should be interesting when he meets Delilah and Jay hehehe.

Kathlee has her mother’s red hair, her mother's hazel green eyes and her mother’s slender nymph-like frame. The only thing she has that at all resembles her father, is the stubborn set of her mouth when she gets in a bad mood and the flashing fury that appears in her eyes when she is furious. But despite everything she is rather pretty. She is rather tall, always holding her head up high and standing with a straight back. Leggy and always looking rather mischievous when she smiles, the only thing people can ever seem to think of when first meeting her is that ‘she looks like trouble’. Just like the casually greying sky before a storm. And that’s just the way she likes it.

Clothing Style:
She prefers to wear colorful or funny tank tops to show off her arms and neck, but she isn’t very busty, so she sticks to her other attractive traits. Well-fitted jeans, floral skirts, summery dresses, and frayed shorts are also usually in her closet. But in the very back are hidden t-shirts with various comic book heroes on them as well as Star Wars and Star Trek tees. She only ever wears them to bed, but they are some of her favorites. She almost always wears tennis shoes or cute canvas shoes that have a pattern on them. Overall Kathy wears very summery looking clothes till the very last moment of warm weather. Kathy may seem like the over confident and competitive daughter of someone incredibly powerful, but she is quite rebellious against her father’s reputation. She puts up acts that make her appear to be flirtatiously fickle, like most would want to believe, but she is a straight up shy kind of girl, thanks to her father’s treatment of her mother. Resentful of how he could just throw both of them away after turning their lives upside down, she absolutely refuses to be like him. In fact she hates the very idea of her even being a Demi deep down. She was the reason her mother got tossed into anguish. She was the reason her mother was always so unhappy and fearful. She was the reason everything went wrong in the end. And it was all her father’s fault for even allowing her to exist. But she won’t ever let anyone see that side of her. Not on purpose. No, she still has her father’s pride. She won’t allow herself to seem weak. Not in front of anyone fickle or at all like her father or those horrible golden sons of his.

Background:
Kathy was a mistake. She grew up with a single mother who, while not meaning to, seemed to constantly remind her of that fact. When she didn’t do well on a spelling test or got into a fight, her mother would wear the same expression she usually wore when looking at her, thinking Kathy wasn’t paying attention. It was a ball of leaden self-hatred her parents gave her along with her temper and stubborn streak. It was easy to keep an unwanted mistake hidden from Hera, Queen of the Gods, Wife of Zeus. He simple threw away anything to do with the red haired woman and her red haired daughter. He moved on to another lover. Simple as that. Her mortal mother always tried to tell her that her father was a wealthy and powerful man, someone who would lose too much if he ever came to rescue them from their crappy apartment and even crappier life. Little Kathy, only six years old, got hatred for her inheritance, not a life with a loving father and mother. Just regret and discontentment.

When she turned thirteen her mother got a husband. A horrible, leering man with hands that haunted Kathy’s nightmares. If he didn’t visit her on those dark night, when her mother was passed out drunk, she’d still have cold-sweat nightmares about the horrible man with monstrous hands that she could never out run. But the little girl never complained, never cried, never screamed for help. She’d just glare and turn coldly silent, a slowly building storm in her hazel-green eyes. Then one night her mother woke from her stupor and found her husband groping her daughter. And that same face from Kathy’s childhood crossed her mother’s features, before the woman turned her back and left the room.

That was the straw that broke the camel’s back. With a violent roar, wind smashed through the window of her room and tore into a spiral around her. Her hazel-green eyes were as bright as lightning as she hovered above her tormentor, the man who starred in her never ending nightmares, cowering at her feet. The tempest thrummed like a heart beat inside her. It was the first real comfort she had felt in such a long time. Lightning flashed across the sky and burned itself down into the floor. A man with golden hair and sky blue eyes, broad bare shoulders and smile lines around his cold, pursed mouth…

Anger pulsed through the little girl. Why was this man stopping her?! What right did he have to keep her from exacting justice?! The shining man put up a hand and the tempest around the little girl was silenced. Still hovering above her bed, the little girl started to cry. No, more like wailed. She screamed about every single thing she had ever kept bottled in and the cold faced, golden man softened.

Kathy’s mother had returned to the room when the lightning had flashed into the room. She stood, smiling, like she never had before, at the golden man who radiated power. He turned to the cowering mortal man at his feet and in a bright flash of light sent him somewhere Kathy would later find out was a hell built just for him, his own eternal residence in Tartarus. Seemed like it was one of those rare moments when Zeus and Hades ever actually agreed on anything.

In his single act of care towards his daughter, he put a haze over her mother’s mind. Brushing any memory of him or her now ex-husband with a wave of his hand. With an empty heart and hazy mind, it was the only way to ever get the mortal woman to truly care and love her daughter. But Kathy could remember. Remember the nightmares, the silent torture, and the crushing defilement that made her want to claw her skin from off her bones…

That night went unexplained for a long time, till a swan settled in the yard of their new trailer when Kathleen turned sixteen. It explained how she was a daughter of Zeus, King of the Gods, Ruler of All the Sky Touched. The swan answered any question the young girl asked and even ones she hadn’t. It also gave her a single gift, the only token she’d ever receive from her biological father. A small golden bird at the end of a thin golden chain. What it does, she still does not know. But the swan told her it would all be clear to her one day.

Soon she got accepted into Olympus Academy where she would learn to master her so-called gifts and meets other demi-gods like her. Including any sons and daughters of a certain God of All Gods. She was the born daughter of one of the Big Three. But that didn’t mean a mistake like her would ever be expected to become anything more than a passing regret defiled by mortal hands. Good thing she has made it her goal in life to get the recognition she deserves. She’d stubborn like that. Wonder why.

Extra: Kathy loves Wuthering Heights and Pride and Prejudice, which is pretty odd considering she doesn’t believe in love at all.

Bitter on her part and distant on his. To put it bluntly, she thinks he’s an a**hole who ruined her mothers life and made the mistake of letting her be born. Her father has always favored his sons. It’s unfair and she is not willing to forgive him any time soon. Screw that guy and anyone like him.

Godly Abilities:
Stormy Weather Around Here – While most sons of Zeus have superhuman strength or superhuman lightning throwing powers or superhuman idiocy, she’s got the power over storm clouds. You want rain, tornado or wind? Of course, be careful what you wish for. She isn’t exactly all that good at quality and quantity control just yet.

Up, Up and Away – Flying is one of the most terrifying and amazing things ever. But you are crazy if you think she has any control over it at all. It happens all the time when she sleeps. Some nights she’ll wake up on the ceiling and fall right onto the floor. It’s kind of irritating. Good thing she doesn’t bruise easy.

Ashley is the daughter of Aphrodite so she has to be some kind of beautiful even if her personality is hideous. Ashley has long, light brown hair that reaches just a couple inches past her shoulders and frame her heart-shaped face. She has clear blue eyes and nice, long eyelashes. Her skin is pale and flawless like porcelain. Her lips are a soft brownish- pink though rarely would you see their real color. She does not have much curves on her, though she has nice, long legs. She stands at 5"7 without shoes but often wears heels that make her almost 6"0.

Clothing Style:
Know that you will NEVER catch Ashley in sweat pants. She likes to dress stylishly and has a large enough wardrobe to support that habit. Rarely will she be seen wearing the same outfit twice, unless it's like her work out clothes or pajamas. Ashley is very good at making it feel like she truly cares about a person especially when they have something that she wants. She seems to know what people want to hear but alternatively she knows what to say when she wants to crush someone's self esteem. While she is able to imitate warmth and friendship, she keeps her distance from others and never lets anyone gets close to her. She flirts and messes around, but never had real feelings for anyone. Because of her good looks and charm, Ashley is very full of herself. She is overly confident in her abilities to wreck havoc and get what she wants so when she fails, well it's not pretty.

Background:
As the daughter of a wealthy business man, Ashley grew up with nannies, rich food, fancy clothes, and beautiful dolls. She was allowed to do whatever she wanted for the most part as long as she kept up her appearances. To her father and his business partners, she was an absolute angel. Ashley had about three stepmothers between the time she was five to sixteen. Each new marriage seem to end quicker than the last. Not that Ashley minded as she hated all of her stepmothers. All she wanted was the truth about her real mother. She finally confronted her father after his third marriage failed. He admitted that her mother was the goddess Aphrodite and that she probably had ruined all women for him.

Ashley was skeptical at first. It was only when Aphrodite herself came to visit her that she had to finally believe that it was the truth. Her mother told her more about herself, her powers as a demi-goddess, and a special school called Olympus Academy. She learned that she probably had a lot of half-siblings who would also be attending the academy. She was unsure at first but then decided to attend the academy. But she will not reveal her true intentions why.

Relationship With Godly Parent:
There is a mutual respect between the two. Ashley admires the fact that her mother is a beautiful Greek goddess, but never really felt close to her since she was never there for her. Aphrodite used to try to create a more meaningful bond between them but gave up once she realized her daughter was not one for emotional attachment. They may talk occasionally to catch up but they never were that close.

Godly Abilities:
Cupid's arrow: Ashley has the ability to make other people fall in love with each other or even inanimate objects, whatever it is that they first see after she "shoots them with an arrow" (kind of...). Of course it is only temporary, lasting only about ten minutes.
