Clocking in at a hearty 6'1 and 185 pounds, Hansel is your typically tall young German man, complete with piercing blue eyes full of creative light, and blonde hair that wouldn't look out of place upon a son of Apollo. Due to years of learning to work a forge from a young age, his arms and back are corded and powerful, sinew easily visible in the forearms as testament to years of work and indicative of monstruous grip strength. He may not lift, but he's certainly no weakling. His facial features toe the line between handsome and rugged, with a square jaw and light dusting of beard to accentuate it and indicate roughly how many days it's been since he last remembered to step away from projects and studies and do the "shaving" part of personal hygiene. Expression has two extremes most of the time: classically Teutonic stoicism, and raving enthusiasm as his eyes drink up the light of something on fire.

Clothing Style:

Simple and practical on most days, prefers coats in the winter. Owns a Gas Mask and a flame-retardant combat uniform. Used more rarely than you'd think, less rarely than you'd hope. Same goes for his self-made set of Gothic Plate, which can often be found cheekily disguised as a sleeveless undershirt, puppy slippers, and cozy sleeping pants.

With a tall man oftentimes comes a tall glass of personality, and Hans is far from an exception to the rule. Naturally willing to learn and interested in some more eccentric things, who he is stands out almost as much as his perpetually angry-sounding accent. A friendly man, he's always willing to listen or speak, even if it's something he doesn't quite get. However, that friendliness isn't to say he'll roll over if you step to him wrong. Iron-willed as any good young man, he adamantly sticks to his ways will gladly stand up for them, staring anyone down before promptly wrestling them to the ground or engaging in a gallant swordfight. At his heart, Hansel is but an eager creator, loving nothing more than to make things he finds cool and put them to the test. However, despite how humble these desires are, the man himself is proud, both of his own handmade creations and his homeland and heritage. Hansel is here to represent Himself, His Father, and His Fatherland, and he intends to do it the only way he knows how: Making Awesome Stuff.

Background:
Born and raised in an unnamed German town that was likely once the coziest little village one came across in the Holy Roman Empire, Hansel was from a young age raised by a single mother, an eccentric yet excellent uncle, and two doting grandparents with visits from his Father from time to time, usually during special occasions (at least once a year, and most birthdays). Having accepted the reasoning behind his usual absence as "important business trips", Hans promptly looked to his mother's elder brother to shape him growing up, and found within that man everything cool in the world. Smithing, tales of Knights, Historical European Martial Arts, military engineering... you name it, that uncle knew about it and taught him about it, as long hours spent in the shop after school flew by, turning into days, weeks, months, and years. And while these interests may seem strange to most, every time that Dad of his popped up and Hansel showed off his latest sketch or project, he was met with a beam of pride, a word of praise, and best of all, a sentence of critique. He had so much learning to do!

Fast forward to the age of 18, when Hansel finally decided to put some thought into his situation, and asked about his father. Surprise surprise, he's only the God of Smiths and Fire, nothing too big. Oh, and you're also moving to America to go to some college called Olympus Academy. Have fun, and don't forget your toothbrush!

Cordial and mutually supportive and understanding. Has essentially no issues with Dad, considering his consistent, if necessarily sparse, role as a mentor and thorough explanation of his responsibilities as, you know, a God. Keeps up with him fairly regularly compared to some of his peers, typically through writing and bouncing wild ideas off of one another.

Godly Abilities:

Teutonic Efficiency: After learning to uncork the mastery of craftsmanship locked inside his Vulcanic genetics, Hansel is a natural smith and engineer that can find ways to produce a wide variety of weapons, gadgets, and vehicles in ways and with materials that, really, shouldn't normally work.

Kriegsmesser: Can in addition give said creations "disguises", allowing them to transform into objects of much more pedestrian utility than what they typically end up being. A longsword can become a kitchen knife, a lance a ballpoint pen, a flamethrower guitar a regular guitar. Things like that.

The Crucible: In accordance with his father's domains, Hansel can in a pinch use any contained source or generator of heat for smelting. This does not include human bodies.

Maria has a slim and beautiful hour-glass figure, standing at only 5'6. Her deep chocolate brown eyes, are soulful but at times filled with hidden pain and burdens she bears. She always hides it with her loving and warm smile as it tends to take away the attention. With her lightly tanned skin and beautiful dark hair-she's a vision of beauty. Marianna's skin is flawless and there are no birth defects, tattoos or scars on her body. Her hair is usually styled in different ways-ranging from a bun, to being loose and curly, to a pony tail to a plait or straight with layers. She tends to stay clear of make-up and heavy accessories, only wearing a necklace of a wolf that had been given to her by Hecate as a secret gift and her earrings.

Marianna is a sweet young girl, that always puts others before herself. She is always there if someone needs a helping hand, or someone to listen to them and talk to. However, she can be rather shy around new people, as it takes her a while to open up to people and get used to knew surroundings and people, she never met before. Background:
Born in Italy, Rome. Marianna Costa is the youngest daughter of a strict, and important business man/lawyer Ricardo and daughter of Hecate. Marianna has 2 mortal siblings-two older brothers; whom she does not have much in common with. They do not understand each other and her step-mother is not much of a joy to be around. She fusses over her two boys and over-looks her constantly, for not being her own child...she resents that her father had a child with another woman in their short split. Growing up, in such a strict and unpleasant house-hold, Marianna became withdrawn and submissive. She never spoke out of turn, if she did-she suffered in silence and kept her feelings to herself. Writing and nature have always been her escape from reality-and it's something that keeps her at peace.

She never really knew much about her own heritage-only hearing of myths and legends about the Olympians and admiring their children and gifts. When she turned 11, that was the first time she discovered her powers-It was almost dinner time-her step mother and father were fixing the dinner in the kitchen, whilst the drinks were already laid out. It was just her and one of her step brothers in the dining room. As always, he was trying to put her down and agitate her. Taking everything in silence, she felt a sudden rush of power and anger curse through her veins. When he left the room for a few seconds-she could see a strange mist seep through her hands and enter his drink. Tainting it with poison....after Dinner, her step brother fell ill and was suffering from some odd hallucinations and visions. Being rushed to the hospital, the doctors tried to find out what was wrong; finding he was suffering from food poisoning. Putting it down to her step-mother's cooking, they kept him in for a few nights till he recovered.
Marianna was the only one that stayed home; feeling shocked and confused by the sudden and confusing events; feeling some guilt rushing through her. She decided to take a walk, in the woods near by. That same night, she was watching the moon in the sky and she felt drawn towards it, more than she had during her life. Discovering her powers of the moon-it wasn't long before she found out that she was special. Marianna tried to keep it a secret; but her own father knew she was different....He just never told her, wanting to keep it a secret in hopes her powers would never come through.

When she finally turned 15 years old-Hecate finally came down to her daughter and told her off her heritage. After spending many years watching over her child, she wanted her to know the truth and that she had been there, when others were not-even if she could not be seen. Naturally, Marianna was shocked and a bit scared about what was to come. She got accepted into the Academy 2 years ago-and she is still searching for her true path and goal in life. Even with other people like her around-she's worried about not fitting in and people judging her. But the Academy has been more of a home to her than Italy ever had been.

Marianna doesn't really know Hecate that much. The goddess had appeared in her life a few times over her child-hood; mostly watching and protecting her whilst growing up. They have spoken a few times; that was when Marianna found out about her heritage about a Demi-Goddess and what she could do. In a way, Marianna admires her mother and looks up to her, and wishes they would be a little bit closer. She longs to get to know Hecate a bit more-and she hopes that her mother will turn up one day again.

Godly Abilities:

Daughter of the Moon: Marianna has the ability to possess magic over the moon. The power is rather dangerous yet handy at the same time; if she is wounded she can control and draw out the moon's magic and heal herself. If controlled for long enough, Marianna has the ability to turn into a large dog/wolf. The magical essence in the moon, helps her ability with shape-shifting. Marianna has only form and one only-the wolf is her chosen form. However, she can also unleash secrets and dark magic, if she looses control or taps into another essence of the moon, that she cannot control.


Poison Generation and immunity: Marianna possess knowledge and power over poison. There are several ways she can use this power. Her powers allow her to create and manipulate food and drinks so they become poisonous. To the naked eye, they may look delicious, but one taste and they're deadly.

She can create and manipulate various poisons-some create hallucinations, pain inducement, some burn and create nausea and some are lethal, resulting in paralyses or death.

Marianna herself is immune to certain poisons herself, due to her genetic coding and ability to manipulate poison. However only some can harm her to an extent most of them do not have the full affect on her system due her immunity.

Marianna also possess some knowledge over Magic, but she is not as developed with some magic like her Demi-god siblings and is still learning.

As long as I've had my character, I never did find an actor I would think matches the likeness of my character (though, it seems your character, Jay, checks off a few of Gabe's appearance details which I thought was kind of funny). Could I show you the old sheet to see how much of the existing information lines up with what's presented here?

Well, first let me thank you for showing interest in joining. :)

As for the second thing, it is required to have a faceclaim picture(real life only), yes, but as for ICly, it's only preferred(but not mandatory). If you've looked through it, you would see that there are some that do not put their character's pictures on top of their posts. But, as far as the CS goes, it is required. I hope that answers your question.

Name: Gabriel "Gabe" Emile Aeckerd
Age: 21
Sex: Male

Appearance: Gabriel would consider his family tree to be somewhat complex. From what he's learned, he's about 50% Micronesian, 25% African-American, and 25% Native American. Because of this, Gabe possesses a fair reddish-tan/olive complexion, dark brown eyes and smooth black hair (of which he tends to keep in the form of a very low buzz cut). He stands at 6 feet 1 inch(es), sporting an average build on an athletic frame. Gabe tends to wear clothes that disregard the concept of order. His t-shirts, jeans, and jackets are usually worn, torn, dingy, and generally distraught. He prefers dark colors over most, and hates to accessorize.

Personality: Gabriel would be considered the type to not always "play well with others". If the situation doesn't call for it, he'll try his hardest to keep to himself. He also houses a hair-triggered temper. Not too keen on smiling either. If someone gets too disrespectful towards him, he wouldn't hesitate to throw the first punch. He is not the talkative type, and won't raise his voice past a quiet monotonic unless he's provoked emotionally. Despite all this, Gabe is capable of being friendly; he just needs to be around the right types.

Divine Parent: Demeter, the Goddess of the Harvest.

Demigod Abilities: As an imprint left by his otherworldly mother, Gabriel possesses the ability to control and manipulate all forms of plant life. As long as said plants are his immediate space, they're at his disposal. While he hasn't quite fully learned how to weaponize plants past the obvious vine whips and thorned clubs, he's quite versed with creating fruits, vegetables, and grains. They came to him on an almost subconscious level, most likely due to his mother's divinities.

Weapon(s) and Wargear: Gabriel's never been too versed on classes of weaponry, though he's remembered watching the dryads of Central Park use makeshift Bows, Arrows, and Daggers to fend off hostile creatures. He does, however, carry a young, potted sapling in his bookbag. As one might expect from a child of the Harvest, Gabe bends the sapling to his will, usually having it extend out of his bag to entrap or inflict damage upon his foes.

When no one's looking, he likes to tend to the sapling, keeping it healthy. Secretly, he hopes it'll be able to grow up into a full size tree, one day.

Biography:

One could say that Gabriel's lived a hard life. On a quiet night in April, a couple was admitted into a hospital in Queens, NY. At 10:20 pm, a beautiful baby boy was brought into the world. His mother blessed him with the first and last name of his father before he was placed in the nursery. Within the short time the parents were left alone, they seemingly vanished from the ER, the mother's name gone from the birth certificate. Fortunately, the hospital staff was able to find a next of kin. After a bit of notifying and paper signing, the fresh faced babe was turned over to the nearest relative: the father's mother.

Gabriel lived his young life filled with resentment towards his parents, learning of his father through his grandmother, but knowing nothing of his mother. His unguided anger became a core part of his attitude and mentality, and it kept him unfocused and careless towards school. His grandmother tried to put him on the right track, but her steady aging only feigned further ignorance from the boy. Despite his delinquencies, his strangely unhinged intelligence kept him from failing out of school. A third of a way into ninth grade, Gabriel's 15th birthday rolled around. Around 12 AM that quiet night, he had a strangely peculiar dream. He found himself wondering through a serene park, the scenario confusing yet immensely calming. A radiant being seemingly materialized beside him and embraced him, her touch felt warm and loving. Gabriel hugged back, and for once, he felt loved. It was one of the rare times where he smiled, and it didn't feel forced. He could barely make out her face, but the fragments he did see resembled someone from a very important part of his life. She spoke to him in a soft, affectionate voice, a said but a few words.

"Soon, you will see the world as I. It is up to you shape your destiny hereafter. You're a part of a much larger family now Gabriel. And a part of a much larger world..."

He awoke from the dream before he could question the occurrence, the sun outside his window barely risen. The words said to him in the dream replayed in his head. He was ready to shape his destiny. He didn't know how, exactly, but he decided that residing with his grandmother would get him nowhere (along with a thought that hung at a corner in his mind, a thought that assumed that his grandmother would be better off if she didn't have to worry about her delinquent grandson getting into trouble at school every other day). With his vigorous volition concreted in his psyche, he packed what he thought was necessary, gave his still sleeping guardian a quiet farewell, and departed from the smelly, dank apartment complex to watch the sun greet him as he began traversing out of Queens.

It was said that later in the day his grandmother was greeted by two stocky, hairy men who looked fairly uncomfortable in the pants they wore. They asked for Gabriel, and his grandmother suggested for the two to try looking for him at his school, where she assumed he'd be.

By the time he realized he was hungry, the sun was a fair's way into the sky, and Gabriel was in Manhattan. As he took note of his surroundings, he immediately began to take notice of things that were very out of the ordinary. Strange beings and entities walked among regular humans, beings that normal looking humans didn't seem to notice. Was this some type of joke? Did Gabriel mistakenly wander onto a movie filming? He was in this area just yesterday; it wasn't like this then. In hopes to clear his mind (and to prevent a scene of freaking out), Gabriel ducked into the park across the street from where he stood; Central Park, it was called. Unaware to him, he was being trailed by a tall, lurching shadow...

Two steps into the park, a subtle buzzing sensation began to ring through Gabriel's head. The buzzing/tingling feeling became much more prominent as he stepped onto the grass, and closed the gap between him and the plentiful trees and brush that inhabited the giant park. The sound rose to a point that it began to play over the sounds of chirping birds and outside pedestrians and cars. He turned his head to and fro, wondering where the noise was originating from. Was he near a beehive? The noises in his ear were more hurtful than helpful, and annoyed him profusely. With a hasty sigh, Gabriel sat down against the nearest tree, one that housed a very wide trunk. Plopping his backpack down beside him, he rested his head in his hands. Too much stuff was happening for him at once, too much stuff that he couldn't completely comprehend.

Before he could put another question to every strange thing happening, a lingering shadow rushed up to him, blending in with the overcasting shade of the leaves that hung from that massive tree. In the split second used to pull his head up past his shoulders, Gabriel was ripped from his train of thought as a graying monstrosity leaped at him from the shadow, fangs and claws bare. Unaware and unprepared, Gabriel received full extent of the attack, a heavy swipe from the beast tossing him away from his sitting position. His shirt was reduced to shreds where the attacked landed, blood leaking from the series of long gashes that appeared at his chest. He staggered to his feet, one hand at his chest, the other tightened into a fist. The massive hound kept a steady glare on his prey, sauntering back and forth, looking for an opening. It pounced again with maw agape, its teeth aimed for Gabriel's jugular veins. The boy expected the attack this time, intercepting the hound's jaws with outstretched arms.

The force of the lunge, accompanied by the hound's sheer size and weight was more than enough to put Gabriel on his back. The hound was now standing over him, trying its best to shake out of Gabriel's grasp. With every vicious jolt from the hound, Gabriel felt his grip begin to slip, the fear within him beginning to strengthen. As the two wrestled, the tree overcasting them began producing long vines from its branches, those of which began slink down towards the hound. Gabriel's strength faltered soon after, the vines becoming his saving grace as they speedily engulfed the large dog before hoisting it back into the thick canopy. He gave it one last look before grabbing his bag and hastily fleeing deeper into the park.

Afternoon rolled around in Central Park. After ensuring he was as far away from that mutated canine as possible, Gabriel took a seat at a nearby bench to catch his breath. He looked down at himself. His chest, stomach, and (what remained of his) shirt was caked with drying blood, dirt, and grass stains. The only thing running through his head was more questions. How did that dog get so big? How did that tree save him? Why was this all happening to him? As his mind continually reeled with queries, there was a being perched high in a tree behind him. She looked on cautiously, yet displayed a look of annoyance.

She dropped down from her hiding spot, and strode towards the confused boy, tapping him on a dirty shoulder. Gabriel jumped in fright, and jumped again as he turned to get a glimpse of the girl's peculiar look. Her ears were unusually long and pointed, her skin was a flushed color of green, her shoulder-length dark green hair was filled with twigs and leaves, and she wore clothing weaved from leaves of various sizes. She began to rant on about there being a hellhound wrapped and strapped to her tree, and wanting the son of Demeter to take it down. The title bestowed him upon stuck out in his mind, the "son of Demeter".

"You...know my parents?" He asked the young lady. She shrugged, replying that only a son of the Goddess of Agriculture and the Harvest could manipulate her tree in such a way. Her words left Gabriel slightly speechless. He summoned the vines? He was the son of a goddess? The girl saw his look of confusion and smiled.

"You're new to this, aren't you?"

"New to what?"

"Being a Demigod. I mean, you have to be one! Only a demi would be able to see Dryads and Hellhounds, and have the abilities that reflect that of their parents." She replied, now joining him on the bench. He was still going over what she said. So he was a Demigod now? He sighed. More questions and more confusion.

"Can you tell me more about Demigods? About...my mom?"

"Yeah...just get the hellhound out of my tree first." The wood nymph replied with a smile before introducing herself with the name Willow. Gabriel didn't really smile back, but her friendliness did cause him to warm up to her.

6 years pass. While attending and eventually graduating High School, Gabriel lived among the Dryads of Central Park. With their help, he grasped a better understanding of his abilities, and became ever more appreciative towards the nature around him. The buzzing in his head turned into fairly audible whispers that traveled on the wind. His time spent among the peaceful wood nymphs came at a price, however. Hellhounds, harpies, furies, and other horrors not only attacked him on his home turf, but at his school as well. He's watched many a dryad fall trying to protect him. He knew that the monsters were only coming for him, and the feeling of guilt ate at him. The night of his 20th birthday, he drove himself out of Central Park, to keep their lives safe from his curse. He found a sound happiness living in that Park, and being away from them caused his emotions to go back to its quiet, hostile, state. From a broken boy, to a broken adult, Gabriel aimlessly roamed the city, unsure and fairly uncaring of where his life went next.

One day, through his travels of vagrancy, Gabriel found himself on the outskirts of Long Island, and smack-dab in the middle of a conflict between two opposing parties. It wasn't a disagreement over him, so to say, Gabriel just seemed to have knack of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. To the untrained eye, one might mistake the scuffle to be some sort of gang war. To Gabriel, the fight looked more like something you wouldn't see on an everyday basis. A small group of individuals (most of which, looked to be in their teens) were engaged in fierce combat between an even smaller (and steadily shrinking) group of gorgons. Some of the kids used weapons of mythical origin, weapons that shone a brilliant gold-like color, while others used the elements to gain the upper hand. And then there was Gabe, dumbstruck while trying to fully assess the situation, unaware of the monstrous snake-woman that slowly approached behind him.

Before the monster of Grecian legend could inflict any damage upon the boy, it was stuck down by a volley of arrows. As the battle died down, he found himself being approached by the kids, and they began bombarding him with questions while they murmured amongst themselves. Where'd he come from? Could he see the gorgons? Was he a demigod? The last question fully acquired Gabriel's attention, and answering his own questions. It was no doubt that these kids were the half-godspawns he may have been subconsciously searching for. And with that, he decided to answer all their questions.

"My name is Gabe. My mother is one of the gods. Demeter, is her name." He told them, quietly. One of the teens (one which seemed to be the eldest), stepped towards Gabriel, putting a hand on his shoulder.

"You should come with us, then. There's no safe haven outside of Camp Half-Blood for demis like us." The boy said, leading Gabriel and his group to the fabled camp. Gabe may not have known where he was being lead, but he figured he might as well go with the kids, and give himself a few nights of easy rest.

Notes: He doesn't like to admit it, but Gabriel has a natural talent for cooking. And according to previous acquaintances, he has a strange taste in music.

@Mictlan93 I know this is just to give me a taste of Gabe, so I won't say that much about the character sheet you used, but when you make the final submission, I would like to ask you to use the one given. It just makes things a lot easier for me. As for Gabe himself, I rather like him. I see why you said that my face claim for Jay was close to Gabe. They do have similar features. And you even have Gabe being into cooking. Their personalities seem to be quite different, though. Jay's more reserved and polite, but does have his moments of small doses of anger. Gabe seems to just be your every day antisocial, hot-headed punk kid. xD

Gabe is a 6 foot 1 mutt, with Micronesian, African-American, and Native American genes all mixed into one body. Average muscle definition on a solid, athletic frame. Has dark brown eyes, and smooth black hair that he keeps up with, making sure it never falls past his shoulders. If it’s possible, he’ll have it cut as low as possible. Funnily enough, while he’ll keep constant tabs on buzz cut, his facial hair usually goes untouched, resulting in a scruffy black goatee and stubble. His body is lined with faded scars and cuts, lasting evidence of his previous life. The most prominent scarring is a series of slashes, three lines going across his chest. The result of his first run in with a Hellhound.

Clothing Style:

Gabriel would be considered the type to not always "play well with others". If the situation doesn't call for it, he'll try his hardest to keep to himself. He also houses a hair-triggered temper. Background:
Originating from the less-than-appealing projects of Queens, NY, Gabriel wasn’t exactly blessed with the best life. On a quiet night in April, a couple was admitted into a hospital in Queens, NY. At 10:20 pm, a beautiful baby boy was brought into the world. His mother blessed him with the first and last name of his father before he was placed in the nursery. Within the short time the parents were left alone, they seemingly vanished from the ER, the mother's name gone from the birth certificate. Fortunately, the hospital staff was able to find a next of kin. After a bit of notifying and paper signing, the fresh faced babe was turned over to the nearest relative: the father's mother.

Gabriel lived his young life filled with resentment towards his parents, learning of his father through his grandmother, but knowing nothing of his mother. His unguided anger became a core part of his attitude and mentality, and it kept him unfocused and careless towards school. His grandmother tried to put him on the right track, but her steady aging only feigned further ignorance from the boy. Despite his delinquencies, his strangely unhinged intelligence kept him from failing out of school. A third of a way into ninth grade, Gabriel's 15th birthday rolled around. Around 12 AM that quiet night, he had a strangely peculiar dream. He found himself wandering through a serene park, the scenario confusing yet immensely calming. A radiant being seemingly materialized beside him and embraced him, her touch felt warm and loving. Gabriel hugged back, and for once, he felt loved. It was one of the rare times where he smiled, and it didn't feel forced. He could barely make out her face, but the fragments he did see resembled someone from a very important part of his life. She spoke to him in a soft, affectionate voice, and said but a few words.

"Soon, you will see the world as I. It is up to you shape your destiny hereafter. You're a part of a much larger family now Gabriel. And a part of a much larger world..."

He awoke from the dream before he could question the occurrence, the sun outside his window barely risen. The words said to him in the dream replayed in his head. He was ready to shape his destiny. He didn't know how, exactly, but he decided that residing with his grandmother would get him nowhere (along with a thought that hung at a corner in his mind, a thought that assumed that his grandmother would be better off if she didn't have to worry about her delinquent grandson getting into trouble at school every other day). With his vigorous volition concreted in his psyche, he packed what he thought was necessary, gave his still sleeping guardian a quiet farewell, and departed from the smelly, dank apartment complex to watch the sun greet him as he began traversing out of Queens.

From there, he saw the world with new eyes. Faced beasts that could’ve jumped straight from the pages of fiction. He was protected and raised by a tribe of wood nymphs that lived right in the heart of Manhattan. He shared a close, maternal bond with one of the Dryads, one named Willow. He learned more about his heritage as he lived amongst them, and was better taught how to hone his godly abilities. In time, he became ever more appreciative towards the nature around him. He lived amongst the nymphs for six years, completing and graduating from high school in the process. These were people he were actually willing to be around, ones he would actually smile at. His time spent among the peaceful wood nymphs came at a price, however. Hellhounds, harpies, furies, and other horrors not only attacked him on his home turf, but at his school as well. He's watched many a dryad fall trying to protect him. He knew that the monsters were only coming for him, and the feeling of guilt ate at him. As any mother knew their child, Willow could see how he was hurting. She made mention of an academy in Utah made especially for the children of the gods.

“Utah…?” He wasn’t too accepting of such a trek, but as he saw it, it was the only choice he had. So, he gathered what little belongings he possessed, and made for the nearest west-bound Greyhound. Not before seeing Willow one last time, though. As they exchanged heartfelt farewells, she handed him a young potted sapling. “She’s yours to guide, to nurture, to protect. When the time comes, and a nymph is born from her roots, it will up to you to raise her. Watch over her, as I’ve watched over you.” She spoke warmly. He was sure to never forget her words as he traveled to his new destination.

He hasn’t physically seen nor heard from her since he was born. Aside from seeing her in one dream (which, could be argued to be nothing), he’s yet to ever talk to her in person. She wasn’t there to raise him, help him on his way, or teach him right from wrong. It’s all he could’ve ever wanted from a mother, and she wasn’t there for any of it. So naturally, he resents her. He may never show it on the surface, but he still loves and misses her. He just wonders why he’s been ignored all these years. That being said, the thought of having half-brothers and sisters (ones younger than him, no less) ticks him off. Mostly due to the implied neglect on his mother’s behalf.

As an imprint left by his otherworldly mother, Gabriel possesses the ability to control and manipulate all forms of plant life. As long as said plants are his immediate space (and rooted in some form of soil or earth), they're at his disposal. He's quite versed with creating fruits, vegetables, and grains. The talents came to him on an almost subconscious level, most likely due to his mother's divinities.

Call him crazy, but Gabe has a young potted sapling that he carries around in his backpack. She’s one of the few personal belongings in his possession that remind him of home. A baby tree bestowed upon him by his surrogate mother, Willow. He’d tend to her in a quiet, private moment, and is fairly protective of her. In a fight however, he’s quick to take control of the plant, forming whatever the situation calls for. Under his command, she’s been formed into shields, entangling tendrils, and even extra limbs. One day, when all the fighting’s done, he wishes plant her in a safe location, so she can grow naturally.

Just like the casually greying sky before a storm. And that’s just the way she likes it.

Clothing Style:
She prefers to wear colorful or funny tank tops to show off her arms and neck, but she isn’t very busty, so she sticks to her other attractive traits. Well-fitted jeans, floral skirts, summery dresses, and frayed shorts are also usually in her closet. But in the very back are hidden t-shirts with various comic book heroes on them as well as Star Wars and Star Trek tees. She only ever wears them to bed, but they are some of her favorites. Kathy may seem like the over confident and competitive daughter of someone incredibly powerful, but she is quite rebellious against her father’s reputation. She is tough, but it more of an internal toughness than just her durable lean body. She puts up acts that make her appear to be flirtatiously fickle, like most would want to believe, but she is a straight up shy kind of girl, thanks to her father’s treatment of her mother. Resentful of how he could just throw both of them away after turning their lives upside down, she absolutely refuses to be like him. In fact she hates the very idea of her even being a Demi deep down. She was the reason her mother got tossed into anguish. She was the reason her mother was always so unhappy and fearful. She was the reason everything went wrong in the end. And it was all her father’s fault for even allowing her to exist. But she won’t ever let anyone see that side of her. Not on purpose. No, she still has her father’s pride. She won’t allow herself to seem weak. Not in front of anyone fickle or at all like her father or those horrible golden sons of his.

Background:
Kathy was a mistake. She grew up with a single mother who, while not meaning to, seemed to constantly remind her of that fact. When she didn’t do well on a spelling test or got into a fight, her mother would wear the same expression she usually wore when looking at her, thinking Kathy wasn’t paying attention. It was a ball of leaden self-hatred her parents gave her along with her temper and stubborn streak. It was easy to keep an unwanted mistake hidden from Hera, Queen of the Gods, Wife of Zeus. He simple threw away anything to do with the red haired woman and her red haired daughter. He moved on to another lover. Simple as that. Her mortal mother always tried to tell her that her father was a wealthy and powerful man, someone who would lose too much if he ever came to rescue them from their crappy apartment and even crappier life. Little Kathy, only six years old, got hatred for her inheritance, not a life with a loving father and mother. Just regret and discontentment.

When she turned thirteen her mother got a husband. A horrible, leering man with hands that haunted Kathy’s nightmares. If he didn’t visit her on those dark night, when her mother was passed out drunk, she’d still have cold-sweat nightmares about the horrible man with monstrous hands that she could never out run. But the little girl never complained, never cried, never screamed for help. She’d just glare and turn coldly silent, a slowly building storm in her hazel-green eyes. Then one night her mother woke from her stupor and found her husband groping her daughter. And that same face from Kathy’s childhood crossed her mother’s features, before the woman turned her back and left the room.

That was the straw that broke the camel’s back. With a violent roar, wind smashed through the window of her room and tore into a spiral around her. Her hazel-green eyes were as bright as lightning as she hovered above her tormentor, the man who starred in her never ending nightmares, cowering at her feet. The tempest thrummed like a heart beat inside her. It was the first real comfort she had felt in such a long time. Lightning flashed across the sky and burned itself down into the floor. A man with golden hair and sky blue eyes, broad bare shoulders and smile lines around his cold, pursed mouth…

Anger pulsed through the little girl. Why was this man stopping her?! What right did he have to keep her from exacting justice?! The shining man put up a hand and the tempest around the little girl was silenced. Still hovering above her bed, the little girl started to cry. No, more like wailed. She screamed about every single thing she had ever kept bottled in and the cold faced, golden man softened.

Kathy’s mother had returned to the room when the lightning had flashed into the room. She stood, smiling, like she never had before, at the golden man who radiated power. He turned to the cowering mortal man at his feet and in a bright flash of light sent him somewhere Kathy would later find out was a hell built just for him, his own eternal residence in Tartarus. Seemed like it was one of those rare moments when Zeus and Hades ever actually agreed on anything.

In his single act of care towards his daughter, he put a haze over her mother’s mind. Brushing any memory of him or her now ex-husband with a wave of his hand. With an empty heart and hazy mind, it was the only way to ever get the mortal woman to truly care and love her daughter. But Kathy could remember. Remember the nightmares, the silent torture, and the crushing defilement that made her want to claw her skin from off her bones…

That night went unexplained for a long time, till a swan settled in the yard of their new trailer when Kathleen turned sixteen. It explained how she was a daughter of Zeus, King of the Gods, Ruler of All the Sky Touched. The swan answered any question the young girl asked and even ones she hadn’t. It also gave her a single gift, the only token she’d ever receive from her biological father. A small golden bird at the end of a thin golden chain. What it does, she still does not know. But the swan told her it would all be clear to her one day.

Soon she got accepted into Olympus Academy where she would learn to master her so-called gifts and meets other demi-gods like her. Including any sons and daughters of a certain God of All Gods. She was the born daughter of one of the Big Three. But that didn’t mean a mistake like her would ever be expected to become anything more than a passing regret defiled by mortal hands. Good thing she has made it her goal in life to get the recognition she deserves. She’d stubborn like that. Wonder why.

Extra: Kathy loves Wuthering Heights and Pride and Prejudice, which is pretty odd considering she doesn’t believe in love at all.

Stormy Weather Around Here – While most sons of Zeus have superhuman strength or superhuman lightning throwing powers or superhuman idiocy, she’s got the power over storm clouds. You want rain, tornado or wind? Of course, be careful what you wish for. She isn’t exactly all that good at quality and quantity control just yet.

Up, Up and Away – Flying is one of the most terrifying and amazing things ever. But you are crazy if you think she has any control over it at all. It happens all the time when she sleeps. Ashley is very good at making it feel like she truly cares about a person especially when they have something that she wants. Background:
As the daughter of a wealthy business man, Ashley grew up with nannies, rich food, fancy clothes, and beautiful dolls. She was allowed to do whatever she wanted for the most part as long as she kept up her appearances. To her father and his business partners, she was an absolute angel. Ashley had about three stepmothers between the time she was five to sixteen. Each new marriage seem to end quicker than the last. Not that Ashley minded as she hated all of her stepmothers. All she wanted was the truth about her real mother. She finally confronted her father after his third marriage failed. He admitted that her mother was the goddess Aphrodite and that she probably had ruined all women for him.

Ashley was skeptical at first. It was only when Aphrodite herself came to visit her that she had to finally believe that it was the truth. Her mother told her more about herself, her powers as a demi-goddess, and a special school called Olympus Academy. She learned that she probably had a lot of half-siblings who would also be attending the academy. She was unsure at first but then decided to attend the academy. But she will not reveal her true intentions why.

They may talk occasionally to catch up but they never were that close.

Godly Abilities:
Cupid's arrow: Ashley has the ability to make other people fall in love with each other or even inanimate objects, whatever it is that they first see after she "shoots them with an arrow" (kind of...). Of course it is only temporary, lasting only about ten minutes.

Well-fitted jeans, floral skirts, summery dresses, and frayed shorts are also usually in her closet. But in the very back are hidden t-shirts with various comic book heroes on them as well as Star Wars and Star Trek tees. She only ever wears them to bed, but they are some of her favorites. She almost always wears tennis shoes or cute canvas shoes that have a pattern on them. Overall Kathy wears very summery looking clothes till the very last moment of warm weather. Kathy may seem like the over confident and competitive daughter of someone incredibly powerful, but she is quite rebellious against her father’s reputation. She tries get others to see her as someone on their own level, hating any special treatment he the children of the Big Three usually get. She is tough, but it more of an internal toughness than just her durable lean body. She puts up acts that make her appear to be flirtatiously fickle, like most would want to believe, but she is a straight up shy kind of girl, thanks to her father’s treatment of her mother. Resentful of how he could just throw both of them away after turning their lives upside down, she absolutely refuses to be like him. In fact she hates the very idea of her even being a Demi deep down. She was the reason her mother got tossed into anguish. She was the reason her mother was always so unhappy and fearful. She was the reason everything went wrong in the end. And it was all her father’s fault for even allowing her to exist. But she won’t ever let anyone see that side of her. Not on purpose. No, she still has her father’s pride. She won’t allow herself to seem weak. Not in front of anyone fickle or at all like her father or those horrible golden sons of his.

Background:
Kathy was a mistake. She grew up with a single mother who, while not meaning to, seemed to constantly remind her of that fact. When she didn’t do well on a spelling test or got into a fight, her mother would wear the same expression she usually wore when looking at her, thinking Kathy wasn’t paying attention. It was a ball of leaden self-hatred her parents gave her along with her temper and stubborn streak. It was easy to keep an unwanted mistake hidden from Hera, Queen of the Gods, Wife of Zeus. He simple threw away anything to do with the red haired woman and her red haired daughter. He moved on to another lover. Simple as that. Her mortal mother always tried to tell her that her father was a wealthy and powerful man, someone who would lose too much if he ever came to rescue them from their crappy apartment and even crappier life. Little Kathy, only six years old, got hatred for her inheritance, not a life with a loving father and mother. Just regret and discontentment.

When she turned thirteen her mother got a husband. A horrible, leering man with hands that haunted Kathy’s nightmares. If he didn’t visit her on those dark night, when her mother was passed out drunk, she’d still have cold-sweat nightmares about the horrible man with monstrous hands that she could never out run. But the little girl never complained, never cried, never screamed for help. She’d just glare and turn coldly silent, a slowly building storm in her hazel-green eyes. Then one night her mother woke from her stupor and found her husband groping her daughter. And that same face from Kathy’s childhood crossed her mother’s features, before the woman turned her back and left the room.

That was the straw that broke the camel’s back. With a violent roar, wind smashed through the window of her room and tore into a spiral around her. Her hazel-green eyes were as bright as lightning as she hovered above her tormentor, the man who starred in her never ending nightmares, cowering at her feet. The tempest thrummed like a heart beat inside her. It was the first real comfort she had felt in such a long time. Lightning flashed across the sky and burned itself down into the floor. A man with golden hair and sky blue eyes, broad bare shoulders and smile lines around his cold, pursed mouth…

Anger pulsed through the little girl. Why was this man stopping her?! What right did he have to keep her from exacting justice?! The shining man put up a hand and the tempest around the little girl was silenced. Still hovering above her bed, the little girl started to cry. No, more like wailed. She screamed about every single thing she had ever kept bottled in and the cold faced, golden man softened.

Kathy’s mother had returned to the room when the lightning had flashed into the room. She stood, smiling, like she never had before, at the golden man who radiated power. He turned to the cowering mortal man at his feet and in a bright flash of light sent him somewhere Kathy would later find out was a hell built just for him, his own eternal residence in Tartarus. Seemed like it was one of those rare moments when Zeus and Hades ever actually agreed on anything.

In his single act of care towards his daughter, he put a haze over her mother’s mind. Brushing any memory of him or her now ex-husband with a wave of his hand. With an empty heart and hazy mind, it was the only way to ever get the mortal woman to truly care and love her daughter. But Kathy could remember. Remember the nightmares, the silent torture, and the crushing defilement that made her want to claw her skin from off her bones…

That night went unexplained for a long time, till a swan settled in the yard of their new trailer when Kathleen turned sixteen. It explained how she was a daughter of Zeus, King of the Gods, Ruler of All the Sky Touched. The swan answered any question the young girl asked and even ones she hadn’t. It also gave her a single gift, the only token she’d ever receive from her biological father. A small golden bird at the end of a thin golden chain. What it does, she still does not know. But the swan told her it would all be clear to her one day.

Soon she got accepted into Olympus Academy where she would learn to master her so-called gifts and meets other demi-gods like her. Including any sons and daughters of a certain God of All Gods. She was the born daughter of one of the Big Three. But that didn’t mean a mistake like her would ever be expected to become anything more than a passing regret defiled by mortal hands. Good thing she has made it her goal in life to get the recognition she deserves. She’d stubborn like that. Wonder why.

Extra: Kathy loves Wuthering Heights and Pride and Prejudice, which is pretty odd considering she doesn’t believe in love at all.

Stormy Weather Around Here – While most sons of Zeus have superhuman strength or superhuman lightning throwing powers or superhuman idiocy, she’s got the power over storm clouds. You want rain, tornado or wind? Of course, be careful what you wish for. She isn’t exactly all that good at quality and quantity control just yet.

Up, Up and Away – Flying is one of the most terrifying and amazing things ever. But you are crazy if you think she has any control over it at all. It happens all the time when she sleeps. Some nights she’ll wake up on the ceiling and fall right onto the floor. It’s kind of irritating. Good thing she doesn’t bruise easy.

Ashley is the daughter of Aphrodite so she has to be some kind of beautiful even if her personality is hideous. Ashley is very good at making it feel like she truly cares about a person especially when they have something that she wants. She seems to know what people want to hear but alternatively she knows what to say when she wants to crush someone's self esteem. Background:
As the daughter of a wealthy business man, Ashley grew up with nannies, rich food, fancy clothes, and beautiful dolls. She was allowed to do whatever she wanted for the most part as long as she kept up her appearances. To her father and his business partners, she was an absolute angel. Ashley had about three stepmothers between the time she was five to sixteen. Each new marriage seem to end quicker than the last. Not that Ashley minded as she hated all of her stepmothers. All she wanted was the truth about her real mother. She finally confronted her father after his third marriage failed. He admitted that her mother was the goddess Aphrodite and that she probably had ruined all women for him.

Ashley was skeptical at first. It was only when Aphrodite herself came to visit her that she had to finally believe that it was the truth. Her mother told her more about herself, her powers as a demi-goddess, and a special school called Olympus Academy. She learned that she probably had a lot of half-siblings who would also be attending the academy. She was unsure at first but then decided to attend the academy. But she will not reveal her true intentions why.

There is a mutual respect between the two. Ashley admires the fact that her mother is a beautiful Greek goddess, but never really felt close to her since she was never there for her. Aphrodite used to try to create a more meaningful bond between them but gave up once she realized her daughter was not one for emotional attachment. They may talk occasionally to catch up but they never were that close.

Godly Abilities:
Cupid's arrow: Ashley has the ability to make other people fall in love with each other or even inanimate objects, whatever it is that they first see after she "shoots them with an arrow" (kind of...). Of course it is only temporary, lasting only about ten minutes.
