Hayato Nodded at Shinrei and sighed once again "I need answers. now or never but if you want to tell me alone then so be it, you better remember those words of yours" Hayato said to Shinrei mostly with respect but also slight distrust he had just met the guy after all and suddenly noticed Hayate ran off to follow Shinrei dragging her sister along while she was at it though it was just a habit of hers as Hayate ran after the young man she quickly took out a impressive paper-craft out of her bag and handed it to Shinrei which represented the powerful blue-eyes white dragon, "i worked a few months on this paper-craft but um... as a apology for my interruption please accept this a gift!" Hayate really didn't want to kill the conversation between her brother and Shinrei so she offered her favorite paper-craft to the man whom she might have angered slightly but she really didn't know for sure but she wanted to be safe rather than sorry not realizing that she'd have to work months to make another one

Hayato followed her sister and looked rather surprised at Hayate's offering and looked more closely at the paper-craft which he personally never had seen before, the details on the dragons scales were rather eye catching as well the impressive pose the dragon was put in despite being made of paper, below it stood a mini-Hayato cowering in fear which Hayato kinda chuckled at, Hayato looked at his sister once again speechless of what she is doing but simply nodded and looked at the paper-craft and simply said to shinrei "Don't mind her... you don't have to take it. she just really hates being a bother to anyone" and promptly turned his back to Shinrei as he did when he walked away and simply left Hayate to do whatever she wanted it really was none of his business after all and decided to check back on Haas who seemed to have fallen asleep while standing "How did he pull that off...?" he wondered but shortly realized he was just half-asleep which he could understand he took 5 laps around the stands with Hayate after all

"OH MY GOD!" Somebody shouted over the intercom, and anyone who'd been in the room for the past hour or so would know who that was. "BEN! ANGELO! I SEE THE BIRTH OF TWO NEW ENTERTAINMENT DUELISTS!!! I can see it now, they wow the crowd with not only excellent card play but inspiring speeches, Brutal rivalries and the only thing on their minds are the one watching! I DID NOT WANT ANY OF YOU TO LOOOOOOOOOOOSE!" Much like before with Venwyn, it seemed like Melchior was actually crying for a second there. A loud smack came out like before, but it didn't stop until a good two minutes later. "Ladies and Gentlemen, the winner is Ben Carson! Angelo had a brutal offense, quickly summoning one Dragunity card after another which had cornered Ben. His Noble Knights fell in battle one by one, but a knight fights until their last breath! Their fallen comrades did not go in vain, we have seen a spectacular Xyz summoning into the last king of them all! ARTHUR! And when the king took the battle to himself, the Noble Knights were able to turn the tide of war! Repelling off the invaders, Ben closed his duel with a spectacular finish! BUT ANGELO PUT UP SUCH A GOOD FIGHT! HIS DRAGUNITIES NEVER GAVE UP AND WERE SO BRAAAAAAAAVE!" Even more sobbing came from over the other end, but this time a smack from whoever else was there did put an end to it. This commentator was... Eccentric to say the least.

Something was odd about Arena two. It had been a good fifteen minutes since Ben and Angelo finished their placement duels, yet the two dueling over there were still going. It's like the duel was at a standstill... Wait, no, it was? Something about Richard was off, he was breathing heavily and sweat drops were forming in the middle of the duel. He seemed to have trouble standing... Richard suddenly had to put one of his palms on his forehead, a pained expression on his face. And then they just suddenly collapsed in on themselves, the holograms around the two duelists fading as well. They lay there, out cold, as the bored teacher from before rushed on over with that security personnel from before. "This isn't good... You, carry this student to the nurse's office. And you," the man pointed at Mary "you win by default. Congratulations." Obviously that wasn't wholeheartedly they spoke that, but the teacher helped get Richie on the other man's back who seemed strong enough to carry them on over.

"What is this?!" Melchior chipped in from over the other side of wherever those speakers led. "It seems our fourth round has come to a pre-emptive close! What happened with Richard for this to could have happened?!" they questioned, trying there best to sound as concerned as possible. "But unfortunately, show must go on! Marisyaliwamivylira," Somehow, Melchior pronounced that name without a hiccup "Congratulations on your victory! You have successfully defended your brother and sister's titles of being undefeated!"

The screen in the middle lit up once more and picked out names, the placement duels continuing like normal until everyone had a chance. In total there were about 20 placement rounds, which meant around 80 new students this year if you excluded Shinrei and Tsukiko.

After the placement duels had come to a close, the sun was already starting to set. The students had been informed they had a few minutes to themselves as the final results for the placements were still being looked over. But then, what for some people was dread, a very familiar voice showed itself again. The door flew open, a fairly tall man with a golden-haired ponytail going all the way down to half his backside, wearing a full body, white business suit that even covered his shoes. The suit itself was surprisingly smooth, and decorated with all manners of colorful badges around the left side of the guy's chest. "THE RESULTS ARE IN!" They shouted through the microphone. Melchior. "If you would all please come down to the main lobby on the first floor, you will know what you're all waiting on... But I can not be with all of you, alas! Every single one of you, I look forward to commentating yo-" Before Melchior could even finish his sentence, he was already being overrun by students storming down the stairs or rushing for the elevator. Everyone wanted their results. And some even forgot their luggage because of it...

In the middle of the lobby was... Actually, pretty much nothing. All the lights were out and ever single window had some sort of black curtain in front of it, the only light coming faintly from two floors above where they were still working in the hall way. It was pitch dark, and you couldn't even see your own middle finger being pointed towards someone. That's how dark it was. But it wouldn't stay like that for long, as suddenly the entire area lit up because of one, GIANT, spotlight against the entrance of the academy shining overhead over some kind of stage. It was a small podium, DA emblazoned on it's crimson red wall behind whoever was sitting on it in a wheelchair, right behind a small podium. The floor of the stage was made out of simple wood, it wasn't too terribly expensive to make one of these but it still felt like it due to the general feel of the Tower.

The man in a wheelchair stood up with little balance, having to need a cane just to be able to stand. It was a frail old person, his aging clearly showing by what little hair he has remaining having all but whited out. They had the beard of an ancient wizard, nearly hitting the floor with it's length. They opened their mouth to speak: "Welcome... First years..." Things already started off great, the old guy was barely able to speak properly. Their voice was hoarse, dry, and not all that exciting to listen to. You could already hear some groans from the audience. "You know, I created this place many... Many years ago. I saw it evolve, from a simple building, to a tall skyscraper..." It seemed like the old coot was going to go off on a tangent, and the crowd got uneasy. Some even tried to book it, though various security personnel stopped them. "But my tale is old and tired, and I won't live long anymore anyway. This sin't about me..." Slowly the old man seemed to get more energetic, a surge of strength filling their body. "No! This is about a new generation... All of you, in front of me! You have the greatest potential to grow, you are all so passionate about what it is you do! That is the greatest asset of them all!" Suddenly, the old guy threw away his cane and ripped the microphone from the stand, JUMPED DOWN THE PODIUM, and started shouting.

"Yes! It is all about a new generation! Each and every one of you can be the greatest that ever lived! Some of you might even become the next big star, and each and everyone can become successful if they try! Our academy prides on it, being able to give all of you the chance to do so! But never forget... Believe in where we started, our humble beginnings! Believe in yourself, so you can make it through! Believe in your friends, who will support you the entire way... But most of all..." The old guy threw the Microphone away, curled his hands up into a fist and shouted out louder than anyone should at that age: "BELIEVE IN YOUR DECK!"

His wheelchair came just in time, pushed by a young lady who couldn't be older than 22, as the old coot sank back into it. They wheeled away into the elevator, presumably to go to the principal's office. The lights flickered on again and a familiar face picked up the microphone, going up to the stage with a few papers in hand. "I will now assign dorms to each and every one of you." They said, uninterested. Yeah it was THAT teacher, the one that didn't have a single emotion in his body.

"For Earth: Haas Marsmen, Megan Clearnet, Akira Soupma, Hayato Day, Tsukiko Ikushira, Richard Triggered, ..." They started listing off name after name, and every single time they messed up their last name.

"For Wind: Vincent Doofus, Angelo Orca, Hayate Nay, Ben Coarson, Akemi Mail, Mary Flail, ..." Now it just seemed like he was doing it on purpose.

"For Light: Ethel Cellphone, Leander Xenomia, Venwyn Ale, Andre Mansion, Zacharie Bon, Shinrei Youkalay-lay, ..." Some of these didn't even SOUND like the original.

After everyone knew what dorms they were in, the teacher finished off with "Please head over to the first underground floor. Your rooms already have your names on them." Some decided to take the stairs, others the elevator. No matter what they took they were greeted by the same sight: Once they stepped out the door they'd see seven lines. Brown, green, yellow, red, blue, white and purple. These were the colors of each respective dorm, and they all led to two series of hallways. The entire structure was built in a circular manner, similar to the skyscraper itself. Each set of hallways had more than enough rooms, with some even empty to accommodate for new students. One of the crowd was even begrudgingly making his way over to the Dark Dorm, obviously having screwed up somewhere to have received that little honor.

The rooms themselves varied from dorm to dorm. Earth had basic, functional rooms. It wasn't too terribly large, with a closet stuffed into the corner and a single bed on the opposite end. The mattress wasn't fluffy but the thing wasn't uncomfortable either. There was a small, tiny desk with a little chair in between both closet and bed, and on the opposite end of the room was a sink with a mirror above. There was also a small compartment beneath, probably for storing your toothbrush and the like. There were two sockets for electric devises. A few showers, maybe about four, were present in Earth's dorm. They had hot water for a limited amount of time, but if you're too slow or if someone feels like being a douche you'd probably have to take a cold shower.

Wind was just a tad more luxurious. Their room was more expansive, with the closet also being larger to accommodate for more things in general. Next to it was a little radio which seemed to be in perfect condition as long as you didn't mess with it, and their bed was nice and soft. Basic combs and toothbrushes were also supplied with their sink, as well as toothpaste, though students weren't forced to use it if they'd rather use the ones they got from home. Next to the closet, expanded across pretty much the rest of the wall, was their own desk with a folding chair with a comfortable cushion. Three sockets for whatever electric device they'd need were spaced out across the room. Their showers were basic mixing showers, but would never have a shortage of hot water unlike Earth.

Light was by far the most comfortable, having their own little vanity dresser next to a two-piece closet, as well as a king-sized bed in the corner of the room. Their desk was the entire length of a wall, with no less than five electric sockets to charge up or power whatever they'd need. Their chair was an extremely comfortable roller one, and the sink on the other end of the room seemed to be supplied with all sorts of make-up and goodies. It was also much larger than any other room's, speaking of which, Light had by far the most space. There was even a poster of the former Duel King, Jack Atlas on their wall. Their showers have a system where you can decide the temperature before the water even starts to flow out, and there's practically one shower every two rooms.

In each room hung a set of uniforms in their colors, about give or take 5 each, neatly hung and without a wrinkle in them. On each desk was also a pen and paper, the paper basically informing the students that they are allowed a few, simple luxuries in their room as long as it would be within reason. These could range from a lifetime supply of cheap gummy bears, or maybe a laptop. Earth would be allowed two, Wind three and Light four. On each desk was also a small pad of sorts, each in a different color. These were the academy-unique Duel Trancievers, or D-Cievers for short. They acted like a phone of sorts, where each student had a code they could register with another student's. There they can edit their profile or share a friends list, as well as keep track of any upcoming lessons as well as reviewing some lost material. It naturally had a calling function, to bug anyone you see fit. Their chargers were rolled up neatly next to it, should it be low on battery.

"Attention students. You are free to roam around as you please for the next hour, but afterwards, you all need to be in your room and either go to sleep or unpack your things. The first lessons start tomorrow. For those who are hungry, there are some things supplied at the entrance of the stair case. Access is restricted to the dorms for the rest of the day." And with that, the students were left to their own devices for a while. The supplies were simple wrapped sandwiches with a water bottle you could get, though it was restricted to one per student. There were a few flavors, but none too special. The same security personnel that greeted the students at the door and carried away Richard was waiting there to hand them out. When did this appear you ask? Well, magic. That a good answer?

Ethel wasn't at all taken back by the craziness of their principal. By now she'd seen it all today, and her emotionless eyes just continued to stare into the abyss as they did their little speech. Afterwards dorm placements came up, and she almost grinned when she heard she made it into light. Almost. It was pretty much a guarantee Ethel would, anyway, right? Everyone scrambled to get to their dorms but Ethel just remained calm, waiting patiently on her turn on the elevator. Once she arrived in her room, Ethel wasted no time in unpacking her things and organizing herself. One thing of note she did was unpack a small, plushy rabbit. It didn't have any natural colors, mainly consisting of stripes of black and blue that form diamond shapes. It was Ethel's favorite. She snuggled with it a bit before putting it down, looking surprisingly content with herself.

The girl looked over to the form she had to fill out. Well, one thing was obvious. She requested plushies. Tons of 'em. Afterward the girl also wrote down her a few of her favorite J-Pop group's CD's, alongside an electric guitar as well as an amplifier. That should do it, Ethel didn't know what else she would really want. She noticed the phone next to the form she'd just filled out, having gotten a dark shade of blue. Well... It didn't look bad. Not at all, really. She nodded contently. The girl was also getting a little tired of her current outfit and decided to change. She dressed into a rabbit hoodie that resembled her little plushy somewhat, but was a little... Revealing. Not that Ethel knew or cared. She still wore the same skirt as before, although changing her knee socks to ones with horizontal black and white stripes, alternating between each other. It took a few minutes but the girl was content with it, leaving her room and locking the door behind her to go grab something to eat.

Haas KNEW IT. He got shafted to Earth, to the surprise of pretty much nobody. Sighing the guy made his way down the stairs, carrying the sports bag he used for his luggage over the shoulder. His room wasn't anything too special, being the basic earth. Sighing, Haas unloaded his belongings and crashed down into the bed. He wasn't going to go out anymore, today... Well, actually. They were pretty hungry. Picking himself up once more, Haas was going to go grab some food and then come back to fill out that form in the corner, not too interested in it right now.

Ben has been excited to see that everyone has indeed enjoyed his performance even though the announcer had called Artorgius the actual king Arthur. He'd decided to take it as a compliment on the side of his card to be compared in power and majesty to the actual king himself from the legends. Still he couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. Luckily enough Ben and Andre hadn't gotten too far towards the stadiums and had been able to leg it back to where they were previously before much of the crowd came rushing for their placements. Ben was excited to see what was happening but he was...less than impressed with their, what Ben could only assume, headmaster. He was frail and he looked like he shouldn't be on stage but in a nursing home. But he didn't say that out loud and he gave the man the same respect by listening to him like he would with any other speaker. He clapped when he needed to and he kept his mouth shut. He just hoped that he wasn't going to be shafted into the lowest ranking dorm due to his frankly bad luck. He had opened with Medraut but no sustainable noble arms thankfully he had Merlin, who looked suspiciously like the headmaster, and he had managed to stall for time until he drew his queen. Still he wasn't ashamed of his performance anymore than Angelo was. Moreover he had things to do and not the time to dwell on his duel. When Earth dorm was called he sighed in relief. He wasn't sure but he sure that Earth had been the lowest dorm. However when called upon in Wind he was ok with it. Though he preferred if the dorm was a Light Dorm. After all most of his monsters were Light Warriors...minus the less than favorable Laudsallyn...
===
Andre simply listened and barely at that he couldn't really pretend to care or even try. He didn't care what dorm he got. He didn't care what his 'teammates' were. And he didn't care about anything in general he just wanted the god damn old man to get on with it and announced where he could finally drop his bags off at. However when it turned out that it was the booster pack guy from earlier who was announcing things he was ready for another speech though luckily he didn't. Though he didn't like the fact he'd have to stop wearing his black jacket in favor of his 'team' color. He never was a team player except with his family. That's why he had been picked on at school. He fit in with no group so each group took their shots at him so now being forced into a team just meant he'd have to do some changing to his personality if he wanted not to get kicked out. He promised his dad he'd do his damnest to not get kicked out because if he passed through this school he was closer to a pro-league job or just a job in general. He groaned when the old man started to list off the Earth dorm names as they were clearly wrong and he was faintly amused that he had apparently kicked down his opponent all the way down to Earth Dorm despite his rather underwhelming performance. Andre after all had barely kept any monsters on the field AND had resorted to using that piss card shuffle reborn to bring out a bigger guy. Hell, no pun intended, he didn't even get out or use his higher up archfiends effects like Imprisoned Queen and First Lord of Horror. Then again he didn't draw or get the chance to get a line up of monsters on the field to do so. Nor did he draw that one trap card he had seen in his deck.

Still when Ben got called up for Wind Dorm and he didn't he figured it was for the best Ben was a pain and him being in the same dorm would just mean they'd be attached at the hip. What he DIDN'T expect or want for that matter was to be placed into the god damn LIGHT DORM. Sure enough the amusing glance and barely controlled smile of his brother nearby showed that he too was not missing out on the irony. The dark duelist, the hell prince, the archfiend overlord had been placed in the dorm that least fit his character. It was like something out of a god damn visual novel. What next was Andre going to bump into some pink haired airhead? Whatever he didn't ask for it but he'd deal with it. It was just a dorm after all it wasn't like he was going to suddenly need to turn into some chump like his brother Ben or a stuck up calculator like his older brother. Andre however needed something to eat and drink before he lamented more about how much he wanted to stuff submit his life to the 'Ironic Tales of Duelists' if that even existed. Still he went over to the food and grabbed his one sandwitch as Ben came over and grabbed Andre suddenly almost making him fall over. "That's my bro! I knew you'd rock it!" Ben said with a happy grin as he was clearly resisting the urge to make an butt out of himself in public. "I hate everyone of you." Andre said with a monotone grunt as he took a bite of his food and Ben laughed heartily. "Come on dude lighten up! I mean you did BETTER THAN ME. That's a statement I always knew you had it in you you big sucker." Ben said as Andre resisted the urge to smother his brother in his sleep with a granite pillow. Still Ben didn't hold up for long he patted his brother on the back one more time before heading out towards his room. As much as he'd like to socialize Ben wanted to make sure everything was in order and unpacked into his room. Nothing worse than a messy room. And as for Andre...he decided it would be best to hold on for a bit. He was sure his dorm mates would be rushing and or clamoring for their high life rooms...freaking tools that they probably were...so in an uncharacteristic move he opted to stay a bit longer. If just to avoid getting caught in a crowd.

Well that was over and, after a eliciting a slight blush from Zacharie as he completely induced the social awkwardness and was reeducated by Vincent shortly after. Perhaps it was a bit too aggressive a display for here in this country, as they seem to associate kissing with something else other than friendship. Fortunately that blunder wasn't recorded by anyone, else that would certainly ruin both of their reputations on the first day, and since no one saw this little faux pas, it looks like they were in the clear. "Merci Vincent, I..."

"I 'ad selected the standard dueling, and the exceed summoning." A quick recovery although the tone of his voice suggested there was something else before that and was dismissed to back of his mind. "Zis game is complicated enough without trying to ride something No? I hope to see you in the dorms as well, I expect probably Wind for both of us, luck 'ad too much to it, not as much skill No? So, will I see you in class too Vincent?"

---

So it was not fated to be. Fate, fortune, and destiny, the cruel trio which oversees and scatters. Zacharie gave Vincent a slight nod, in acknowledgement of his wrong prediction, it appears their duel had separated them if only by a hair. A draw engine after all was much less effective than a search engine, that being said, his starter deck had elements of both. The spell counter side was the draw engine, and the spellbook side was the search engine. Although certainly there needed to be a few more books to be added to the shelves, maybe even streamline and strip a few cards out to make room for multiple copies of his books. Regardless, it seemed the staff and administration here at this Academy was a bit off their keys. The principal was ancient, and that guy who read the names off was this point was probably inebriated. Bon? No! his last name was Beau!

"I prefer le escalier, more time to read." He gave Vincent a nod as he decided to go underground via the less conventional route as most of them waited by the elevators. Sure it was more of a walk, but that was healthier right? Certainly Zacharie did enjoy his cheeses, and butter, and fats being raised on classic French dishes, but keeping a trim figure was easy if you took the path less traveled. He was not expecting being placed in the light dorm, it seemed a bit unfair that simple luck of the draw would set him high upon this precarious pillar. That being said, the room was quite luxurious.

A very large bed in the corner, and a vanity dresser and closet, a long desk along the wall and a good number of electrical sockets with a very nice chair. The half-bathroom was well stocked with amenities, as Zacharie explored around and started to unpack, setting his books atop the dresser while filling up the shelves with some more personal effects. All in all, it was not so different from Home, well his American home anyways, their homes in Paris was far more elegant, but Zacharie had his mother to thank for that. Four luxuries could be requested, whatever those would be, yet Zacharie had his simple pleasures of his books. It was all he needed really, maybe a laptop would let him chat with his family, wherever they happened to be. There was one here in this country, but most were either in France or touring Europe. Did they have the Wi-Fi down this deep?

On his way out to grab a bite, he saw that girl from earlier, wearing some a bit risqué, certainly as revealing as Juna's white dress, if not more. Zacharie had put on the academy jacket, not quite the uniform, but certainly the jacket draped over his shoulders, the empty sleeves hanging on either side. It was conveniently worn, something to conform but keep himself distinct from the masses. He wondered if the rules allowed students to intermingle between dorms, guests even? Anyways there was that Carson brother, the dark one, as Zacharie passed him and frowned a bit. He expected the elder brother to be here at least, but he was placed in Wind for some odd reason. Nevertheless, it not be wise to gain enemies so early and so he erased the frown and quickly caught up to Ethel, deciding not to comment on her outfit.

"Bonsoir Mademoiselle, Iz a shame Vincent is not 'ere no?"

Maybe it would a good time for a meet and greet with your Dorm mates?

Venwyn Ael

Despite being missing for the remainder of the Duels that took place after his own, Venwyn was able to pick up on the announcement and quickly arrived at his designated dorm room. It would have been somewhat easy to find (those ninja-senses are useful, you see) regardless, but it was made even easier by the fact that the dorm rooms did have the names of students on them.

Light. It was said to be a good thing to be in this dorm, although as far as the concept went, it made Venwyn feel rather disconnected from both Wind and Earth - both of which would have been much more fitting to be in (in terms of the dorm names). I mean, if light travels so fast, how come it's never caught a ninja?

Opening the door to the his room, it only took a brief moment for Venwyn to assess the room in its entirety. Needless to say, it was large and luxurious, so much so that it was somewhat staggering to look at. Whoever prepared the room beforehand must have been extremely meticulous in their cleaning. The room was spotless, and the addition of all of the auxiliaries (the request form in particular) made it quite obvious as to why the Duel Tower students seemed to aim for the Light Dorm. Unfortunately, these luxuries were wasted on Venwyn. His living spaces were always mundane, with very little luxuries within them. It was a combination of both Ael Clan teachings (despite this being a lenient teaching, at most), and his own ideals amping those teachings much higher than the other members. It would take a while before he considered using most of the luxuries presented before him. He did, however, take the Duel Transceiver - even if only for the usage of the lesson plan. His in particular had a blueish-green colour, which was fairly fitting for some reason.

Venwyn disappeared from his room in a burst of smoke, appearing in the staircase entrance where the food was located. He was fast; nobody else had quite arrived before he did. He wasn't actually hungry, but was thirsty. Despite that, he didn't take anything. He sort of just... stared at the collection of sandwiches and water bottles, even when the other students began to arrive.

It was as though he was planning something.

Somewhere else...

The powerful entity once again sensed something about to happen. There was definitely a troublesome student in the midst of something, and it would be dealt with.

"Earth huh? i guess i still got much to learn, least one of us is above the average huh Hayate? Hayato said to Hayate who he didnt realise she was having a hard time not being in the same dorm as his brother and simply didnt say anything to her brother and proceeded to grab the hand of a random person who she heard also was assigned to the wind dorm the person who happened to be closest to him other than his brother was called Vincent as she could remember but she really didnt care who it was but rather than actually pulling them she suddenly threw the boy she wanted to drag along on her small back and effortlessly carried him towards the dorms happened to be that this Vincent person was her neighbour while running towards the dorm she started speak with a slightly upset voice "stupid wind dorm... i just wanted to be close to my brother" when arriving at her dorm room she instantly realized she had carried someone with her and didnt hear him complaining she looked at the young man she carried with him with small tears in her eyes

"i wonder whats up with her..." Hayato thought to himself and instead of heading to his room he head towards the light dorms remembering what the Shinrei person said, "If you really want to know then come find me in the Light Dorm at your earliest convenience. I want to ask you something in private anyway" looking for the dorm with his name on it he was mostly mistaken for a girl as he looked for the shinrei rooms and simply waited when he arrived at shinrei's room he opened his bag grabbing one his small mini solid vision projector placing his faithful samurai in the mini solid vision projector card slot and looked at a couple cards that appeared as a solid vision, being a mini projector not in the scale of a duel disk the solid vision samurai simply fit in the palm of his hand getting a few strange looks from the light students

Ethel stopped in her tracks when she heard someone address her, turning her head to meet the stranger. She'd made it about halfway down the hallway and would much prefer to get some food for now, but was in a good mood so she figured entertaining whoever wanted to speak to her wasn't that bad. Seemed to be the boy from earlier, the one that got along well with the one playing Chaos... He had some kind of French accent and slipped in a few phrases of it as well. What a strange person... Him mentioning Vincent made Ethel softly growl a little, though she did her best not to show her displeasure. "Hello." she replied to his greeting, sounding rather bored already. Ethel crossed her arms and rested them, looking Zacharie in his eyes. "You get along well with him. I don't." is all she had in response to the mention of Vincent's name.

"You play well. I'd hate facing you." Keeping her sentences short, Ethel blurted that out with full seriousness, though you could take it as jest since that's usually how it's used. "I'm going to grab something. Come with if you want." Turning around, Ethel paid no further attention to Zacharie unless he had something to say to her and started walking once more. A bit further up was Ethel's opponent, that Venwyn person, staring longingly at all that was strewn out. The girl almost giggled at the sight, wondering why they don't just ask for something.

Andre caught the glimpse of a boy, he didn't know who he was nor did he particularly care about him. However he gave him a distasteful look that made him smile inside. It looks like he made it quite clear after what he did too that Haas person that he wasn't a friendly person. The fact that people were already looking at that made it 99% clear to him that he was going to be able to do whatever he liked in regards to agenda for the day and not be held down by friends. Let Ben take all the crowds. Let him party it up. He'll spend the night studying, he'll spend the days learning, and he'll spend his afternoons dueling. He'll make sure he rose to the top, not that he hadn't already given the state of his dorm, and he'll do so on his own power.

No favors, no backdoor dealings, no cheating, no piggybacking. He'd show everyone he didn't need Ben. He didn't need the rest of his family. And he didn't need anyone else to succeed. Andre saw that a good bulk of the crowd was gone now so he decided now would probably be best to get moving towards the dorm. After all he had to take in all those snobs in there that a actual person with flaws made it in there. The kids in there probably took duel lessons from instructors bought from their parents money instead of dueling on the street. The best he learned dueling whatever punk he came across. The boys and girls on there cared less about friendly and more about winning bets. Andre lost his share of bets but he also won his fair share as well. It was all about if you could take that pain, the hate, and the insults. You could make it if you could take it and return it in kind.

Angelo heard the commentator talk about their duel and it was comforting to hear that he was able to wow the crowd with his amazing offence. Angelo felt proud of himself for the way he was able to duel honestly the main reason he lost was that Angelo never expected ben to have a Xyz monster ready and waiting to turn the tide of battle. When he heard that their result were going to be shown in the first floor Angelo left like a rocket to get their then he saw a man with a cane talk about their the next generation then he went to the person who gave then their starter decks and he started to talk about their dorms. Angelo was told he would be going into the wind dorm that in terms of class meant that he was in the middle and that was perfect for Angelo he felt that while he didn't win his duel he made sure to put one hell of a show, although in all honestly it was a little annoying that he couldn't even say their last names right and it was perfect knowing that he would be in the same dorm as his new rival.

Angelo followed the guidelines to his new room which was actually very nice and spacious not to flashy but it was just right with everything he would need. He soon found the D-Cievers and thought that it looked a lot like a cellphone so he started to mess with it a little and he registered himself as his name then as a nickname he put down 'commander' thinking that it was clever with the way he handled his deck. He then heard the announcement about how they had an hour to roam but Angelo didn't really want to go out of his nice room yet. Angelo instead decided to take a shower and thankfully the water was nice and warm. Once Angelo had finished his shower he started to unpack his things from his bag and change giving his room a homey touch. He then checked his closet to see his uniform and thankfully Angelo's favorite color was actually green so he liked the uniforms. Angelo would start his lessons tomorrow so for now Angelo decided to take a nap in his room and relax knowing that tomorrow will bring a new wave of stress and worries...

Megan shook herself from her revere and looked around to see everyone flooding to the main lobby. Unsure why she followed and saw that there was some sort of speech or announcement thing. Some old principal dude made a speech that looked like it almost resulted in a heart attack. He should probably calm down. Next came the soul sapping teacher who read their dorms. Unsurprisingly he seemed to have the inability to pronounce last names. Clearnet? Really? If she hadn't known better she would've assumed he was trying to tick everyone off. Oh well, it looked like she was earth, no surprise there.

Megan slowly walked down the stairs to her room thinking, how could she prove herself and rank up? She didn't know how often rank up events happened or if it was just an end of the year thing. It would suck to be doomed to earth till the end of the year. Megan looked at the colors, she wondered what all the other ones were for, not 1st years apparently. Oh well, at least most of her monsters were earth so it was fitting for her in more ways than one. Still, at least her room was nice, there were showers, albeit shared, a nice bed, and adequate storage. Megan looked at the forums carefully, interesting, small luxuries hm?

Megan couldn't think of what she wanted, the Duel pad things had pretty much everything she wanted. Maybe food? Eh she'd wait until later to see if she needed anything. Megan put on her earth uniform, and went outside to get some food, she was hungry and it was far easier to fall asleep on a full stomach anyway. Megan grabbed a sandwich and looked around. Would now be a good time to make friends? Or should see wait until classes started? Deciding to leave it to others she sat down quietly noming on her sandwich and occasionally sipping from her water bottle. Today had been okay, she wondered what tomorrow would be like.

Mary Ael

Mary's duel had been cut short with the sudden illness of her opponent. He collapsed and Mary won by default. Her victory left a bad taste in her mouth. She wanted to win by herself, not by some deus ex machina. She wanted to check in on how her opponent was doing, but by the time she had left her side of the arena, he was already taken to a medical center. Mary thought it would be in bad taste to visit the unconscious boy, seeing how he could have been a tryhard in which victory is everything. Still, she would probably end up sending a gift basket whenever he would wake up.

Mary left the arena and heard the enthusiastic announcer speak more. From there, she heard her full name called. Mary instantly stopped. Her expression changed from a calm and solemn look to what could be best described as internal screaming. She didn't want anyone to know her full name. Still, it was impressive that the man managed to say it all at once. She took a deep breath and regained her composure. She then grabbed her bag and walked over towards the staircase which would most aptly be called a waterfall of people. She managed to leap in and run down, following the boy in front of her.

From there, she heard the old man's speech. It was familiar. A sense of déjà vu filled Mary's mind, but she couldn't quite figure out why. Still, she listened to the old man. Finally, the dorms were called. Mary was put into the Wind dormitories. It wasn't good, but it wasn't bad, either. It was perfectly fine by her standards. Mary was pleased, but not impressed with herself. After everything was called, she went into her room.

Her room was nice. It reminded her of her own room at home. It had the same amenities. It was a pretty nice room. Mary spaced out everything she brought from home. Some canned goods, a metal frying pan, a induction cooktop, some seasonings and oils, cooking utensils, her clothes, her toothbrush from home (she forgot the toothpaste -- not that it mattered, though), and a child's cooking knife.

From there, she noticed the order form in which she could, well, order things. She wrote on the first allocated slot "Cookbooks". She still needed to study cooking, even while she was here in this school made for the dueling of the monsters. In the second slot, she wrote "Fresh vegetables." Finally, in the last slot, she wrote "refrigerator". She didn't have enough slots to ask for meat. It was a travesty. Still, she could live with a primarily vegetable-based diet. As she put that down, she noticed the weird phone on her desk. She then began to wonder how many things she missed, even to the point of questioning her sanity. She picked up the phone, looked at it for a moment, and put it back on her desk and looked around. She didn't think that she missed anything else. She picked up the phone again and placed it in one of her pockets.

She was hungry, but too tired to cook anything herself. She then remembered what the man over the intercom said. Sandwiches at the entrance of the staircase. Mary left her room to get a sammie and some water. Once there, she noticed Venwyn, just staring at the sandwiches. She stared at Venwyn. Her instincts kicked in. He was up to something, but what? Mary watched him, making sure he wouldn't do anything stupid; he probably still would, though.

Shinrei didn't need to stick around to hear the announcement of where they had assigned him. He had shown a few weeks earlier and had all his belongings during that time moved to his dorm aside from what they wouldn't allow him to bring. Tsukiko didn't mind being put in the Earth Dorm and she completely understood since she was very new to the game but to be severed from her brother did bother her a bit. She also knew that her brother probably felt the same way. Well, she knew she had work to do reorganizing her room so it fit her own theme so she bid her brother farewell as he saw her off and went to work with redecorating her entire room.

Shinrei grumbled for a moment when he learned that this Andre person who he personally did not like at all had been put near him. He shrugged off the thought knowing as long as this person stayed out of his way or never approached him that they would not have any problems. When it came to the kind who publicly announced themselves as anti-social, it is something Shinrei looked away from since he found those kind of people the kind that likes to trash those who they destroy for the need to satisfy their self-preservation of their state of mind a bunch of juveniles. He had dealt with people far worse than that individual and decided to cease thinking about him. Putting that joke near me? How fate is such a cruel mistress to me. First my sister and now this... Punishment for my vulgarity, huh? No matter, I will just maintain my normality of isolating his existence from my mind. Besides, I have never let such egotistical self-reserved brats bother me in the past so I shouldn't let it do it to me now.

"Heh, just like my sister, eh?" Shinrei mused to himself as he stared at the papercraft Hayate had made form him. He had thanked her earlier for giving it to him though he didn't know why she would want to give it to someone who was as cold as ice. He stood up from his seat in front of his computer monitor then walked over and put the papercraft with his entire collection of other memorabilia including figurines of machine and dragon type monsters which were centered around his two most prominent dueling trophies. His Duelist of the Year trophy was on the other side of his Nationals Trophy which was centered around a photo of him actually smiling for once with his sister and another pretty silver haired woman was in the photo which was his mother and off to her side a silver haired man. "Mother..." Shinrei mumbled to himself as he ran his hand across the face of the photo casing. "What would have you done..."

His memories of his mother were interrupted when he sensed someone at the door. He turned an eye toward the door and sighed because he knew who it was. He found it awkward he actually came after all. Such a strange person to actually care about his reasons. He walked over toward the door and opened it to notice Hayato was standing outside. He looked off to both sides using the door as a shield to prevent people from looking inside his dorm to see if anyone was about to walk by before he invited him in. He felt uncomfortable letting him in actual room since it contained everything that he had ever achieved in his life. From dueling trophies, to figurines, posters, plaques and even photos that he did not let most people see. The only other person who knew about this was his sister. "Tell your sister thank you for the papercraft. Really never got the chance to thank her myself since I returned to check on something I had been working on. Anyway, I put it beside my two largest duel trophies." He paused pointing toward the two very largest duel trophies that were on desk toward one of the walls inside his room. The desk was further back making it hard for people to see it since it was away the view the door would have gave and off toward the far side of the room hiding it from plain view.

"You may touch anything in this room, but that book on that desk beside my computer is off-limits. Do not touch it at all." He said coldly as he immediately closed the door and walked over to take a seat. He hoped Hayato wouldn't ask him a lot about the photos he kept around especially of the silver haired woman who looked like his sister. There were rare posters of cards that he probably didn't know about. The one that stood out the most was the one of a dragon that was engulfed in darkness which was metallic. It was obvious Shinrei loved dragon and machine type monsters the most but he also had other figurines of spellcaster types like Dark Magician. There were even figurines of Blue Eyes White Dragon and even a Blue Eyes Shining Dragon card which was in a plaque on his wall. He had all cards put in plaques so they could not be used. He knew dueling rules and he followed them to the letter. You weren't allowed to use outside cards and that you also could not change a registered deck after it was registered before a duel. "Before I go into what I'm about to tell you, the name is Shinrei Ikushirou. The reason you recognize me is due to the answer in this room. Suppose I better at least know your name before I go straight to the point of why I am here."

"I can't believe this, these showers are terrible..." Tsukiko complained as she put on her fancy silk bathrobe she had lied out for herself on the bed. She didn't look particularly happy because her hair was a complete mess and thanks to the lack of hot water it was hard for her to even enjoy the shower. She had second thoughts about Earth Dorm lodging after she learned the showers pretty much sucked. "Curse you bad lodging!" She screamed as she sent her fist into the wall punching a hole into it then hand over mouth as she said 'Oops' by surprise.

When she had finally finished fixing her hair she put on the pair of blue denim cutoff shorts she had laid out for herself and the orange t-shirt that she was going to wear. She also put on a pair of black leather fingerless gloves and her thigh highs. She then slipped on her sandals and stepped out of her room. Just as she locked the door and was going to head down to eat she didn't see Haas coming her way and accidentally bumped into him knocking her down on her butt.

Vincent Gulfus

Vincent nodded as he heard Zacharie's courses which they had chosen. So it would seem that they would be in similar classes, Vincent thought as they had both selected Standard Duelling for one of their courses. Fate really was kinda weird. Vincent knew deep down they would be placed in different dorms. Selection process's usually worked like that. The weak was filtered from the strong whom always got the best things. But that is just the way the coin fell for the people here at the academy. Vincent guessed, Sitting all the way through the old man speech was Vincent whom had almost fallen asleep until the near end of the guys speech where Vincent rose with a fiery energy that seemed to emanate from his soul. It petered out almost instantly when the dorms started to be read out though. So infectious was the boring of the man that read it out. That Vincent Almost fell down asleep where he stood. It would be weird to do so But Vincent was that close to doing it.

Then his name was read out to the crowded and purposely mispronounced Yet Vincent didn't care, he could settle with earth for what it did but wind was above his expectation so at the very least that was looking good for him. Wind was middle tier. Average if you will, it was their for those that where in a category that was better then earth but not good enough for light. At least it was worthwhile enough. People had already began to start moving when Vincent got up to leave with the crowd for where he wanted to go. Making sure to collect his luggage on the way out. Unlike some people whom have seemed to have forgetten all about their personal belongings in their burst of excitement. Perhaps he was too slow moving to get to his dorm as Zacharie had gone on ahead. Maybe he really was too slow Vincent thought to himself as he walked with some of the crowd following the green line. Pausing for a moment to let more people ferry in front. Vincent may have paused too close to somebody.

For one moment he heard a flaking on a conversation before someone hand grabbed his, it felt oddly feminine and Vincent's face suddenly flushed with embarrassment. "Er I am so s-" Suddenly he was thrown over the person shoulder before he barely had a chance to finish his sentence. One of the twins Hayate or Hayato probably Hayate with the feminine hands. But you couldn't really tell. "Excuse me can you put me down please. please can you put me down. Hello can you hear me in there." Vincent said to his kidnapper whom was carrying him and his duel disk and his luggage. Unnatural strength by golly was this person. The person then surprised The helpless Vincent again when they started RUNNING to the wind dorm. "Please put me down" Vincent said getting increasing flustered at the situation yet not wanting to lash out.

The hellish experience soon came to a end when the girl put him down. How did he know it was a girl, she was situated next to him in terms of room placement. She was the Hayate of the twins placed in the wind dorm not to mention she was crying for her brother. "Hey hold it, its okay its okay. Just because your brother isn't in this dorm doesn't mean you can't see him again. Honestly we are about to go for food soon so." Vincent paused thinking of what to say, he was notably out of his element with a crying person. "you can see him again then but for now rest assured that your not alone. You have people around you whom could support you. Me for instance." was that coming off as boasting, Vincent thought to himself... Well crap he said it now. Hopefully she wouldn't rip him limb from limb at least she didn't look like she would. Unlike a certain Blue haired girl whom he had a teeny gigantic minuscule affection to.

Akemi Ael

The victory tasted sweet on her tongue, although Akemi now realised how foolish it was to allow a spare turn for her adversary; that could've resulted in her demise, for all that she knew. At least she had won and was placed in Wind (Earth would've been a disgrace to the Ael Clan name), although it slightly irritated her that her opponent had been placed in the same dorms. Of course, this was all a part of learning to not be so self-centered - she should be happy that they both were placed above terrible.

The young ninja dashed down the stairs towards the dormitory corridors, hopping overhead of the crowd by jumping from head to head, she felt it was a swift enough way to reach her destination. Where the circular room extended into seven different sets of dormitory corridors, the students split to where they belonged. Surprisingly, it was an even split between Earth, Wind and Light, with only a few of the outliers heading towards the Dark corridor. Akemi snickered to herself, imagining Venwyn as being one of those; unfortunately, he had been deemed more successful than her.

The girl gleamed at her room; it was much better than the tight, dirty closet that she was forced to call a bedroom at home. "Part of your ninja training." They would say, despite her always questioning why some of the other members had perfectly fine rooms. Opening the closet, she discovered outfits that she assumed labelled themselves as uniforms, however in her mind they could only be described as travesties. Quickly opening the suit case she had managed to bring to her room before anyone could notice her absence from the arena (Something useful from her skills), Akemi ripped open the fabric that she had asked her cousin Mary to sew in for her, as to hide her kunai, and rapidly collected all ten that had been lazily attached to the casing through sellotape. Afterwards, she held one in each hand and began to shred the awful green clothing which tainted her room, until only one outfit remained. "You always have to keep one alive, to warn the others." For some reason, she seemed to glare at it, as if it was an old foe.

After about ten minutes of having a stare off with her suggested clothing, Akemi noticed the luxury item request form and began scanning her mind for any amenities that she may desire. All of the options - how could she ever decide? Oh wait, it was simple. She picked up the pen that was laid perfectly on the desk and wrote down her three choices; firstly, a daily coil of rope to create rope darts when combined with her kunai and for general use, secondly, raw meat to attract the less evolved of the students at the academy and manipulate and finally a grindstone to help keep her weapons nice and sharp. Obviously she would never harm another student with them, they were just to stop objects flying towards her and for self-defense. Then again, that would be a poor excuse when she would be found out with them, due to her knowledge of hand-to-hand and melee weapon combat, but they didn't have to know that.

Leaving her suitcase mostly packed still, the young girl sauntered off to pick up a sandwich and beverage, yet she saw her family there, too. Akemi stared at Mary, inquisitive as to what she was looking at until her eyes then met Venwyn, who was staring at the refreshments. It was obvious that he was about to make a performance; who was she to miss out on that? Despite the comic event that was bound to ensue, she couldn't shake the feeling that there was a dark presence who had already acknowledged the short-term future, without even being there.

Ben stared himself in the mirror as he looked at his sweet room. It was a really nice room truth be told and he liked it. He just wished the place was closer to the bathroom. Night breaks and such were all the more easier when one was closer to the bathroom. Ben looked at his green uniform and shrugged. He looked handsome in it but he felt a bit stuck up he made a face in the mirror to mimic the stereotypical snob...it didn't fit him and he ended up bursting out into laughter as he couldn't look himself in the eye with that face. Ben threw his coat onto his bed and then thought against it and put it up where his shirts were located. Before he could do much else however there was a sudden knock on the door as he went to open it he spotted some younger boys and a young woman standing at the front of his door. They weren't the same kids he had helped earlier so he guessed this was about his...little stunt in the arena. "Sup dorm mates how's it going?" Ben asked the group with a friendly smile as the young boy grinned back. "You were pretty cool out there Ben. Just wanted to say thanks for the motivational speech. I wasn't sure about coming here initially. I didn't think I'd do so well. But hey I'm here in the dorm and we all wanted to say you're cool with us if you ever want to hang out or anything." the middle boy with grey hair said as Ben laughed for the absurd request was almost too much for him to handle. "Bucko I'd be sad if you didn't get to hang out with me. Anytime, anywhere, any place...assuming it's not in the middle of the class. Hell if it wasn't for the fact we got what...a half and hour or so left before we all gotta behave like good kids should I'd be calling for a House Party. After all WIND DORM IS THE BEST FREAKING DORM OUT THERE! WE'RE GOING TO GO HARD AND BLOW THE COMPETITION INTO NEXT WEEK!" Ben shouted loudly as the kids raised their hand in agreement and cheered as well. "So how 'bout we go fool around see if we can bother some of our poor little dormmies?" Ben said with a sly smile as he pulled out an air horn and some of those cans filled with string. He had snuck those in inside of his pants. What good was going to a dorm if they didn't party like a team after all. The girl, a shy bowl cut girl with glasses who announced her name was Marie Ann, shyly said they shouldn't bother they others. Ben groaned like a child told he couldn't have fun and threw the string back...but kept the air horn tucked into his pants. "ALRIGHT Marie then let's just go bug someone and see if we can't get them to join Team Awesome! From now on you're a part of my crew guys...if you want to be that is." Ben stated as the boys agreed and Marie shyly just went along with it unsure about what to say to the bombastic Ben. "Alright so first off we're going too..." Ben said as he explained his diabolical plan on how to turn Wind Dorm into a dorm full of the coolest people this side of the country. Horror quickly followed.

"i'll be sure to tell her... glad you accepted it... she tends to get upset when people don't she's a good kid. cares about everyone even if they are cold to her or anyone else"Hayato said not paying any attention the room he entered and proceeded to take a seat handing over the solid-vision projector casually asking "you want one? it's one of my mothers rejected products. i got a bunch of them in my bag" before getting straight to the point dropping his friendly voice for a more serious one "Hayato Ray, is what you may call me, My mentor's pride and joy was his blue eyes... and I know I am not here for idle chit-chat, what was it that you couldn't say in front of everyone else?" Hayato asked as Shinrei's name not really ringing a bell and awaited Shinrei's answers inspecting the room Hayato started to realize that this room reminded him of his father's duel trophy room where he would take lessons from his father, from the trophies on the shelves to all the photo's the only thing missing was his personal duel table fitted with the mini solid-vision system and he though back to the old days of dueling with his father and learning how to play, old memories back came as he looked more closely to the room inspecting it

Hayato started to remember how his father would keep him away from his sister for most of the time to study dueling with him, he was never treated as a son but rather than a student and never looked at him as a son except outside of his teachings, Hayato did enjoy his time with his father but as time went on his teachings started to turn him into a more serious person rather than a duelist who dueled for fun and joy like his sister would, He would sometimes sneak away from his studies to duel with his sister when his father was out doing something as he was a busy duelist, whenever he would leave he would notice his sister getting upset and plead him not to go... "Don't go! i don't want to be alone again" those were words he always wanted to forget but being in this room made it come back to him and realize why his sister ran off

Hayate nodded and apologized to the young man she carried with her and smiled a bit "I never been to a academy before so... i didn't know... i was really lonely without my brother, Mom would have brought many toys to my brother, Dad has been teaching him about dueling leaving me to play alone most of the time... unless Hayato snuck into my room to duel with me... She pulled out a small paper craft representing her and his brother which was really well done and proceeded to look for another paper craft herself and looked at the person before him thinking what monster he would have liked... and pulled out a Volcanic Rat paper-craft out of her bag and gave to him to apologize to the young lad "Please take this... I'm sorry for picking you up like that... I think he suits you. it was my first paper-craft creation so i don't mind losing it she smiled slightly as she handed over the paper-craft despite being her first paper-craft still being as detailed as her current works but thought back to what Vincent said "You have people around you whom could support you. Me for instance" and took it the wrong way thinking he said he could replace her brother and took out her Red toy hammer and hit him on the head with it after watching the young boys reaction Hayate proceeded to grab the boy's hand again "Let's go get food! person whose name i don't know!" She said before realizing she didnt unpack yet and quickly offered to help out as well letting go of his hand and giving him a hand regardless of what he answered

Maybe I should have saved my kittens...? Haas was mulling over his placement duel, wondering how he could have played it better. The guy couldn't see it, though... Wasn't he just doing his best...? This mulling over the past continue for a while, Haas not really paying attention to his surroundings until suddenly-
*BONK*

...He ran into someone and staggered backwards. The guy nearly fell over as well after THAT show of clumsiness, looking around frantically after what just transpired. "What did I-?" Before Haas could finish his sentence, he noticed that girl from earlier knocked onto her behind right in front of him. "OH F- Sorry, Sorry! Let me help you up!" Haas extended his hand, feeling terrible after having knocked over Tsukiko. After he helped her up, the boy let out a heavy sigh and scratched the back of his neck... Again. "Sorry for knocking you over... Uhmm,... Tsukiko right? I uh, wasn't watching my step." They sheepishly said, obviously uncomfortable after doing that. "I guess you were planning on grabbing a bite as well?" Haas questioned.

Ethel didn't really pay any more mind to Zacharie as they seemed to lag behind and not say much more, glancing around the lobby to see where they were actually handing out the food. One of the girls in particular had isolated themselves, sitting against a wall to just silently munch on whatever sandwich she took with the open bottle of water just sitting next to her. Ethel found it looked pretty pathetic, was she really that miffed about losing? Not that Ethel was there to pick up on the match, she just remembered this girl in particular got done in by the first turn. Speaking of people, the three Ael clan members were having some kind of staring contest, not just Venwyn now. What was going on with that?

Ethel took a sandwich with only vegetables on it, wanting to keep her figure in line. Taking a small bite off of it, the girl concluded it wasn't half bad. Nowhere near as good as what she's used to, but not bad. Venwyn seemed to be in an extreme amount of concentration, so Ethel didn't feel the need to bother him. Same thing with those other two, it was as if they were planning something... Taking another good look around the room, the bluenette could only find that redhead girl as anyone of particular interest... And she wasn't going to waste her time with them. Some shouting was coming from the Wind dorm, much to Ethel's grievance. Couldn't people just shut up for a while? Ethel decided to approach Megan anyway, not because she had a particular interest in that girl, but because there was pretty much no other calm place in the area. She took a seat a little ways away, refusing to even look at the red head while taking in another few bites of her food.

Venwyn Ael

The arrival of many students seemed to align with whatever Venwyn was thinking when staring the food collection. However, the subsequent arrival of his two fellow clan members had forced him to temporarily halt anything that he was about to be put in motion, lest they get in the way somehow. Of course, it was unlikely that they would be able to stop him, per say, just interrupt him. Instead, Venwyn opted to try one of the sandwiches, biding his time. While the clan (and by extension, Venwyn) didn't have a very exotic food selection, they did have sandwiches. Even so, the selection of sandwiches at the Duel Tower was rather daunting. Venwyn briefly considered choosing something different than what he knew, but decided not to. It made more sense to stick to what one knew, anyway. Venwyn chose a run-of-the-mill sandwich: ham, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and the like. After picking his meal, he went and sat down alongside the other students who were eating - albeit he didn't sit with them out of choice. The seats were gradually being filled, and it had become near impossible for him to sit alone because of it.

Water would come later.

Akira had mindlessly followed the crowd to the principal where he made a boisterous announcement. It wasn't as if he was no longer excited, quite the opposite. Ge felt so excited he kept playing the duels over in his head. Then the staff member came forward snapping Akira from his daze in time to hear that he was in the Earth Dorm. He was upset but figured he could move up and that gave him hope.

The Earth Dorms were simple and all he felt he needed was a laptop and a video camera. He smiles and fills out the form changing into his uniform leaving the buttons open to show a black t-shirt underneath before walking out to mingle with the others.

"You did well too, a 'ery long game." Zacharie's cheeks turned a little pink despite the slight annoyance held in her voice. Locked into a stalemate, this was not a way Zacharie preferred to send his time at these card games. While it did show skill to prolong a duel, it also detracted time from more non-trivial things like reading. He was up a few scenes from his arrival here so far, and would need another book to burn through at this rate. It was clear that unlike Vincent this girl was a bit less social, and her outfit suggested her strong-minded independence, in contrast to the others who had taken up their uniforms already. That being said, he just gave her a nod and stayed behind a good distance as to not make her irritable.

There were the three Ael's nearby, although they seem to be paused in some sort of Clan staring contest? Zacharie was not quite sure what to think of them, given that they seemed to be common here, and many siblings showed up to this place for some odd reason, relatives even. He chuckled internally as he considered dragging his older brother along for this. Probably Adrien, the middle child who wouldn't mind as much as he was an artist touring Europe for inspiration. It was his turn to pick a sandwich, several sorts and varieties from sweet to savoury, yet nothing really too appealing. A simple cheese sandwich would work enough, a thin spread of butter tucked in by a blanket of American cheese between two pieces of white bread. It was god-awful compared to the real cheeses Zacharie was accustomed to, he had chosen poorly and washed the unnatural processed cheese slice down with a large swig of water before looking at the sandwich with French culinary disgust.

Speaking of brothers, there was some noises down the Wind Dorm, chaos even. Not Vincent's type of chaos, but more of a tumultuous sort. It was as if either a massacre was occurring in the dorm, or someone was on running people over with automobiles. Seriously the dorm was really, really rather loud, probably enough to wake duelist trying to sleep in that dorm. If the noise levels escalated to the point of reaching the Light dorm, then Zacharie may not be able to finish the first part of his book tonight. So he glanced about looking for anyone to question his entry into the Wind dorm, looking certainly out of place in his Light jacket draped over his shoulders while he was holding his bottle and nibbled-on sandwich.

It was all going well, and perhaps he did get a few stares from the Wind dormies, but no one told him to leave or otherwise so far. The part he didn't see was the wall of adrenaline-fueled knight running at him as he turned the corner and ended up being tackled by a larger boy. Well, someone was evidently running people over, and using a loud air horn evidently. As Zacharie groaned to recover from his winded state and shook his head, he was certain he was about to give this careless boy an earful of French, "fai-!" but then he realized, after noticing his water spilled over his jacket and shirt who it was who just floored him squarely.
