consider I haven't revealed the true secret there yes... though I will do approved npcs so long as they don't reveal anything that may be drastic

so basically if you wanna control an npc they have to be VERY vague

Probably varies from area to area. I'd assume that just copper+silver+gold coins, and bartering, would work well enough though.

Pretty much this. Some people prefer to barter. Or even request services. But every now and again you'll find that strange bunch of folks who only accept severed pig anuses, or even empty perfume bottles.

To clarify Piper's position, since I was fairly limited given her perspective of being thrown around in an underground magical whirlpool and then shot out a brand new watery crack in the world:
Piper is currently lying unconscious next to a cold geyser, which glows with a wondrously bright magical light from within. She lying face up on the ground, being washed over with the water from the geyser. Her hat can be found on top of a fallen tree nearby, and is currently waving one of its long tassel thingies around in the air, with the other pointed towards Piper. Piper is in pajamas. The geyser is creating somewhat of a flood, and does not show signs of stopping. Her general location is in the middle of an unnamed woodland, nearby to where Theresa and Ben are camped out. The earthquake, scream, and burst of light caused by the opening of the geyser may cause for unwanted attention. It's starting to rain.

Also, had a question. Do the vigils know Piper's still alive, or do they think she's been "taken care of" thanks to what looks like suicide by drowning? I'd like to see their perspective on what happened in the dark at the waterfall clearing.
