Yeah, go on then. Do your worst. I hate to make a reference to your character's liking of birds of prey, but I'll let you put your beak in it :D #falconpuns

Some questions:

1) How does your character feel about frogs? Why?
2) What would your character consider giving their maester as a gift? Why?
3) What subjects or skills did your character pick up the most easily? What did they have the most difficulty with?
4) Does your character have a favorite vacation spot? What is it? Why?

@Major Ursa

1)Tyron thinks frogs are a lovely source of protein.
Daenys thinks frogs are disgusting because of their sliminess, and he finds their biology quite difficult to understand, though the poisonous ones come in handy.
Gerald also thinks as frogs as a lovely source of protein, though he'd rather eat something a little less smelly.

2) Tyron would give his maester a sword, because all men need to be able to defend themselves.
Daenys would give his maester the ability to still be alive, if he's in a sour mood then they get a knife to the throat, why? He couldn't answer it even if they themselves asked, and they do, often.
Gerald would give his maester a day in the army, then retire him, he'd be a veteran-arion. Why? Because it's funny.

3) Tyron picks up on things that involve physical effort, such as sword-fighting, using a bow, stringing a bow, etc. He has difficulty with things that involve reading
Daenys is good at planning, meaning he's a good strategist and plotter. He has difficulty with spur of the moment decision making, making him a poor tactician or sword-fighter.
Gerald excels in things involving speed and dexterity, making him a good sword-fighter or sprinter. He has difficulty with things involving working with heat due to his illness, such as cooking.

4) Tyron likes the Wall, though there's very little that he's actually seen of the world, he likes it because from up top he can see thousands of miles of white, which he considers beautiful
Daenys likes King's Landing, mostly because he has people to serve on his every whim, but he also can get work done while still relaxing.
Gerald considers Highgarden to be the most beautiful place he'd been to during his time as a mercenary, mostly do to the untouched expanses of green.

Brilliant. Peregrines are lovely birds, I've had the chance to be up close with one recently. They really are just so majestic, genuinely a marvel to see.

1) Garland doesn't like them, but when you live in a place that has as many flowers and roses as fucking Holland, then you have to kinda get used to the fact that they exist. Probably fine, to be honest, they're there for the gardeners and in the gardens themselves, nothing more, nothing less.

2) Probably a Peregrine of sorts, one that maybe Garland has gotten to grips with, and if he knows that his maester likes Falconry too, he'll give him one of his own. Of course, Ellion still beasts Garland in this field of knowledge- it's merely a hunting tool, not a completely do-it-all master of the sky.

3) His wit, his sharp nature, and his talent at being able to just generally be a charming motherfucker was what he took on quickly, even before being a Lord- decision making, and his chivalry. Rulership was difficult, he has to surround himself in advisors, in people to get shit done, and while he's got a lot to learn, he's making progress down that road the most right now. Showing confidence through that on occasion, but being aware he has to tread carefully.

4)The Arbor, it's an island of wine, and to be honest, it's a fucking Mediterranean-climed island that is away from the world. Not too hot, not cold at all, and while it's green, it's a nice place to be, Garland would prefer it to the sweltering heat of Dorne, or of the cold of the Torrentpeak mountains. Considering how nice Highgarden is already, it's not a bad place to relax anyway, though The Arbor is good to get away from the noise.

1. Tyget Considers frogs and other amphibians as somewhat noble creatures for their versatility. Living on land and in water is interesting. Other than that largely does not care about them

2.Enough gold to spur new research into... whatever or to be used on experiments. He does not know how maesters do their job, but he knows that they need money to continue learning.

3. Grand strategy, history, politics and leadership in general was easy for him to pick up. Natural charm, controlling his temper, and generally learning that sometimes no action is the best action he has trouble with.

4. Dorne. He enjoys the dessert, as he rarely sees such things, and enjoys taking in the many exotic goods peddled in the kingdom... He is also, like his father, EXTREMELY into Dornish Wine

Nope. I am in the process of writing, I got stumped on Talron's letters to Daenys and Jullon Tully, so I have to go back for that. I only found out when I woke up this morning that I was good to write the entire Bear Island section in my post so I've only just started it. Sorry for the delay, but I am getting there.

@Dawnscroll how do you want me to handle the small ranger Garrison? I was just going to have them captured and killed after causing a bit of trouble for Valorion's men but of there's anything specific you want done then let me know.

Also, I have a problem with the Stark navy. The Westerlands have, historically, had one of the largest and most powerful fleets in Westeros, along with the Iron Islands, the Royal Fleet, and the fleet of House Redwyne. As was stated in a previous post, the Westerlands have a vast amount of wealth available to them, and will no doubt have families of shipwrights raised over generations, and massive amounts of natural resources, and as such they were designated a fleet size of 100. On the other hand, the North has no such vast wealth, has had no navy for hundreds of years before ASOIAF and so has none of the naval history of the Westerlands, would have very few shipwrights if any at all, and doesn't have an particular abundance of natural resources with the exception of Ironwood. So, how the North has managed to amass a fleet of 100 ships, the same size as the Westerlands, I have no idea. It's not that I'm trying to be horrible, I'm just trying to keep it real. It just doesn't make sense.

BUT, I suppose it is a good point... your fleet being as large as mine is a bit... odd

Ok, so now I'm fucking seething. I've been writing since about quarter past (it's now almost quarter to two. One and a half hours of writing), working on my post. I finished the entire first section apart from the letters, and had the second section up to the point of Valorion's men coming to shore (about five paragraphs in). I highlighted the entire piece and went to hit copy, just like I always do before I finish for the session, so that I can paste my work back into the box the next day and resume. Instead, I managed to hit the motherfucking paste option. Putting in the formatting text for a title, in place of about two hours worth of writing. So it's fucking gone. Time wasted, and nothing to fucking show for it. Absolutely fan-fucking-tastic.
