“Hmm?” Scarlet made a pleased surprised sound as the red mage began to cuddle into her out of her own will.” Well isn’t someone eager today. You seem to have made if over you complete shyness from last night.” She smiled.” Of course I slept perfectly well this time. I haven’t slept this well in years, must have been because I had you in my arms~” She cooed happily and tightened her hug of Annora.

“ You know, at first I thought that I may be mistaken about you.” Scarlet said softly with happy voice.” But I’m so glad I was right after all. You really do enjoy this, ehh my little princess?” She asked teasingly while caressing Annora’s hair.” Most people tend to run away from me, when they see this side of myself… “ She said with slightly sad voice.” That’s why I’m so happy to have you now~ My cute little princess~”

“I should have warned you about me… Because of my dark magic, I have to satisfy certain hungers… so I may get a little bit uncontrollable like last night…” The witch said with happy voice and ran a finger across the mage’s face, pushing some hair to the side so she can see Annora’s eyes better.” So now that you know, do you dislike me?” She asked with almost teasing voice.

"Huh?" She just stared into Scarlet's eyes for several moments, looking confused. After a while she just smirks and blushes. "No... I don't dislike you at all... hehe. You weren't really that bad... I didn't think. I mean, after all... Mistress' new pet needs to know her place from time to time, yes?" She blushes even more and bites her bottom lip again. "I was actually a little worried.. that I wouldn't be yours after that.. I noticed that look in your eye.. I'm glad everything is still okay though..." She giggled then and nuzzled her nose against Scarlet's own. "Besides.. I can be a brat sometimes.. but no, I don't plan on going anywhere, especially if you keep treating me like this~" Annora then grinned happily, if a but shyly.

“Aweeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.” Scarlet made a sound of pure happiness as she heard Annora’s statement.” You truly are the perfect little princess for me… aren’t you!” She stated with joy, kissed Annora again and hugged her tightly again.” Since that’s the way you like it, your queen will take care of you as long as you obey, my little princess.” She giggled.

As they noses touched, Scarlet smirked and moved slightly and kissed the tip of Annora’s.” Well, I’m sure I will enjoy it when you get bratty and I have to teach you manners again.” She said with a smile and slowly let Annora go from her hug.” Now as much as I want us to continue to hug right here, we need to get going.” She stated, almost as if waiting something to happen.

“Come let’s have a quick breakfast and get going.” She said with a smile and made a slight nod with her head towards her bag, indicating that she wants Annora to give it to her. It was just an arm’s reach from them, but considering that one of Scarlet’s arms was under the mage right now, it was difficult to move.

Annora melted into the kiss again and afterwards made a small purr sound at Scarlet, giving her a cute grin to go along with it. Wiggling slightly out of excitement, she nearly jumped as she reached for the bag and drug it over, offering it happily to Scarlet. "Yes Mistress!" she cooed cheerfully. "I never thought in a hundred years I'd find someone like you... I don't truly understand how we are clicking so well so quickly... maybe it was a good thing, in this case, that you had those urges... but yes. Even if I'm bratty sometimes... I mostly like being a good girl..." She spoke in a happy, but cutely shy tone as she sat up and waited for the witch to pull out whatever she needed to cook breakfast. Annora looked so much happier than she did we they first met and there wasn't an ounce of disgust or fear in her eyes when she looked at Scarlet, likely something the witch wasn't used to in the least.

“Good reflexes~!” Scarlet whistled pleasingly and smiled as the mage accomplished her task right away. Sometimes her pets were… quite moronic and didn’t really understand their role in the whole thing. Scarlet was glad that Annora was straight on the target for this. It was almost as if she was born for this kind of relationship. With that said, Scarlet was planning to take incredibly good care of her princess, as every self respecting Queen should do.

“Then we become two that never expected to find the other.” Scarlet agreed with a happy giggle.” I never really found anyone… willing or in the right mindset for me.” She said as she pulled another mushroom bread from her bag, but this time she also pulled a small jar filled with… Jam? Here was something incredibly rare, for fruits were insanely hard to come by and only very rich people would have access to them. In this case, Scarlet being a witch that every now and then dealt potions with rich people got as a payment.

“Not sure if you ever tried this before…” The witch said, pulling also a knife, cutting the mushroom bread into slices.”… I personally was 27 when I tried jam for the first time… had to trade like a bunch of rare potions for it, but it is so worth it.” She smiled and put some on a slice of bread, holding the slice just before Annora’s face.” Come on, try it~”

"Well, I'm definitely willing..." she spoke in a shy tone, biting her lip for a moment as she gave Scarlet an affectionate look. Then as she pulled the mushroom bread and something dark and gel-like, causing Annora to give her a curiously interested look. "Jam?" she asked, tilting her head slightly as she watched the substance spread across the mushroom slices. She gently took the slice and smelled the strange new food and whined slightly in pleasant surprise, smiling back to the witch. Before she went about eating it though, she quickly leaned forward and lightly kissed Scarlet then plopping herself against her new Mistress in a half-cuddle, a bright blush painting her cheeks. She giggled a little and took a bite of the bread and instantly let out a, "Mmmmmm! Wow!" She went on to take a few more quick bites, apparently enjoying it quite a bit!

“Yes, Jam… it was what people called it back in the days before the end of the world happened.” Scarlet said with a soft laugher as the mage kissed her.” It was a most ordinary thing back then, everyone who wanted could make it and frankly all families did.” She explained as she enjoyed the incredibly pleased expression on Annora’s face as she tasted it.

“Glad you like it, it’s made of fruits and sugar mostly.” Scarlet explained as she watched her little princess quickly eat up the slice of bread. She smiled and quickly put jam on another slice of bread again offering it to Annora again.

After that she quickly started preparing herself a tasty breakfast too. Scarlet took a big bite from the slice as the sweet taste spread through her mouth. She so had to find a way to acquire more of it… problem was that now outside the known towns where there were still fruits and other surface plants, it was going to be hell of a pain to make, but who knew what else was out there. She was content with a single slice in the end so she didn’t make more for herself. Being what she was… well her appetite wasn’t really grand in general, so she just left the jar and the knife in case Annora wants another slice after this one.

Waiting for Annora to finish with her breakfast, Scarlet started to prepare her bag for the day, she kept in very specific order so she always knew from where to pull the different potions and tools she had in case of emergency. That said as she was doing so, she felt a snapping sensation… Something had passed through her ward magic, activating it somewhat. The only problem with that was that the war was in all directions. What she felt came from somewhere underneath them. Luckily it was headed their way… yet.

“Annora gather your things… we have to go…” Scarlet said with concern in her voice.” There is something beneath us… Better get away before it decides to resurface.”

Annora smiled the whole time, watching Scarlet with adoring eyes and enjoying the breakfast. She even took note that the witch had given her more and herself less, making her feel a bit shy about how much Scarlet really wanted to take care of her. No one had given her this much attention and affection before, that she could ever remember anyways. As they got done, Annora went about rolling her blanket up and stuffing her pillow inside her own pack, buckling it all up. It has been the only thing she really took out and was ready within moments.

As Scarlet warned her, she looked below them and scoffed slightly before nodding, slipping her pack on and nodding. "I have a feeling we won't get many breaks for a while... but I'm ready when you are, Mistress..." Even though it was a potentially dangerous situation, Annora still loved it - calling Scarlet her Mistress. It made her feel good about herself and it made her feel cared for. Feelings she had been without for who knows how long.

“Good girl.” Scarlet said with gentle voice, and reached an arm to caress Annora’s cheek. As the girl had already packed her things and Scarlet herself had gathered her own pack up, the witch quickly led the way towards the exit of the cave and deeper into the darkness.

“As for the breaks, you are right about that. Yesterday we were both tired and shaken from the change, but today we need to move and cross times more distance.” Scarlet stated with a nod as they finally were outside the mushroom cave. She quickly pulled again her alchemy light and shook the small bottle to start lighting up the way.” We have limited amount of provisions, considering we don’t really know how long we will wander, it will be best to move as much as we can.” She stated and smiled reassuringly at the red mage.” But don’t worry, if things turn to the worst, I will find us a way to survive.”

“I might even show you my patented recipe for Crunchy spider legs roast.” The witch said with a joking giggle.” In all seriousness though… those can be eaten if the spider is right.” She added with serious voice.

When they were some distance away form the mushroom cave a sudden shriek could be heard behind them, coming from their camping place. Whatever it was, seemed to have taken that place for it’s own.
