So yeah, on the subject of gem talk I've been thinking of compiling a list of arguments for and against Rose being Pink Diamond. I'm gonna put it under a hider because of potential spoilers/everybody probably doesn't want to read it but here we go anyway!





So yeah, if you can't tell I'm pretty dubious about Rose being Pink Diamond. Does anyone else have anything to add?

Yeah, look up the looks of a pink diamond and rose quarts. You can tell the coloring is much closer to that of a pink diamond.

My headcannon is that Rose Quartz served under Pink Diamond, rebelled against her, and, through fusing with Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl into the gem the temple is shaped like, killed her. Thus why Pink Diamond is no longer part of the diamond authority.

@Kronshi That's really cool and is basically what I think too, minus Pink Diamond being killed because there isn't enough evidence of that yet, but woah. If that was true, it would really explain why Homeworld really seems to just hate Earth and Rose Quartz.

@Akayaofthemoon I always imagined the temple statue being what the crystal gems would be if they all fused together and that that fusion was what they used to win some kind of final battle to defend the earth against Homeworld, and it would probably make sense if Homeworld took a huge loss in such a battle. Time will tell if they killed/defeated a diamond in it, or if I'm even right.

If you guys remember that episode where Mayor Dewey had Steven and Jamie put on a play, and Pearl reworked the script to be accurate, there was a massive fusion that warned Dewey about the dangers of Beach City. My guess is that particular fusion is the one between Garnet and Rose, or Garnet, Rose, and Pearl. Due to Garnet's size, and Rose's size, I think that it could have been the two of them.

@pyroman As for their weapon, I think they would be even more like Garnet in the fact that she wouldn't have a fusion weapon, but would use both as a singular weapon.

@Kronshi Hows this for her fusion appearance? I think it fits them well. Of course, not a mace weapon, I think they'll use like ice skates? But with hook swords? I don't know yet.

Nevermind, Ice skates actually sound badass if that's what you want. And I like the look for her.
