In the distant future planets are dying. An elusive culprit has struck out against several systems and whether it is some unknown individual with advanced technology, a malevolent corporation, an unknown species, or some form of interplanetary plague is up for debate. All that is known for sure is that any planet which falls victim will become completely uninhabitable. Soil becomes infertile, the atmosphere thins and eventually dissipates, and the water becomes polluted and toxic. Society has turned a blind eye to these happenings as only several planets have been affected; all of which existed on the outer rim of the galaxy; however to the systems and governments who make their home in these regions this threat has become very real.
Now you, through some twist of fate, have come into contact with Muru: an infant and one of the last of her kind.

Hey so this is my interest check, obviously. This roleplay is meant to be set some time in the distant future, so far that earth is no longer home to human kind and whether or not it even exists at this point is a topic for debate. I intend this to be somewhat similar to Star Wars in that it will have some fantasy elements. Nothing like the force, but there are going to be things that could be considered "Magic" or in other terms, Mythical.
While I do want the roleplay to be character driven I have a very rigid story I would like to adhere to as well because in a sense I want this roleplay to feel like you're reading or playing through a Myth or Legend. So the way I'd like to play it is I have certain points I'd like us to get through, but how we reach them will be up to the players to determine. I have a cast of dark villains, mighty heroes, and humorous aliens along the way on a new Space Odyssey.
If this generates interest I'll go into more details like the state of the galaxy, the threat were facing, who Muru is and the kind of mission we'd be embarking on.
