Angelo thanked Brad when he offered to pay for the next set of card. Angelo sighed thinking it was ironic he was aiming for synchro cards but if course what he got would be useless in his deck. They were still synchro cards though so maybe he would be able to trade them for something else if he finds someone with the card's he needs. "Thanks for the duel Brad I think I'm going to take a break. This place better have a pool" Angelo said with a laugh as he left. However what Angelo said was meant as a joke he didn't think that their was one until he looked at a map of the place and saw there was a pool area. So Angelo went to the pool area looking over to see another girl already their. Angelo shrugged and went over to her "Hey how's it going in Angelo" Angelo said smiling at her
Tsukiko was enjoying her time relaxing in the indoor pool area. While time had passed by she did go grab her swimsuit which was now underneath her casual clothing. She was about to go take a swim while enjoy her beverage as she took drinks from while flipping through her magazine only to be interrupted by some person she saw in class earlier. The same one that got in trouble with the teacher earlier. Seriously, she wasn't in the mood anymore to talk to anyone. She just lost her last duel due to a mistake and was still dazed and confused about the vision she saw when Michelle landed the finishing blow. Indeed it was a blast from the past, because it sucked her right into the past for a moment for some very strange reason. The silver haired girl decided to tilt her head in the boy's direction to see what he at least wanted.
"Hey how's it going, I'm Angelo." Angelo said smiling at her. She hoped it wasn't another person bothering about her brother. It wasn't her job to keep track of where her brother was and she came off a bit cold at the beginning being a bit stressed from what she went through earlier. She at first tried to ignore him since she wasn't really in the mood to talk to anyone right now. This certainly was another side of the girl that not too many people had experienced. Most boys were glorified by her beauty, but her sharp tongue also attracted a lot of them since they loved her frigid gaze she gave them. Her last lost did not put her in the best of moods, but she wasn't sore about it. The events that happened afterwards is what drove her into such a foul mood which could be almost felt by the entire room when the girl had that creepy icy look on her face like she didn't really care what was going on in the room right now. Unfortunately, unlike Michelle Angelo got the much colder side of Tsukiko which wasn't entirely that friendly. It wasn't that she didn't like him moreover his timing couldn't be any worse and she wanted to enjoy herself to at least give her some alleviation, but now she has this random boy she hardly even knows bothering her.
Tsukiko was certainly a flower, but she had thorns in her that most people didn't know about it. Take this girl too lightly and she would make you regret it and Angelo got to see the side of her that a lot of the students found a bit frightening. Ah well, I suppose I better find out what he wants. Just his timing couldn't be any worse. I just put on my swimsuit and wanted to go swimming and now I have this person bothering me. Well, I'm certainly not taking off my clothes in front of him so my bikini is visible that's for sure. She thought to herself as she put her two feet up on the table and crossed them as she slid her finger into the strands of her silver hair which was as shiny as the first fallen snow on the ground. There was a reason she was called 'Moon Child' and that certainly was one of the reasons she obtained that nickname. She certainly didn't get anymore polite as she decided to finally acknowledge the boy that was standing by her side, "Yeah, what do you want?" It was obvious she was not in the best of moods right now and her voice when she said that was very cold that it could be felt in the room. You could judge by the frown on her face that she wasn't in a very talkative mood right now. A transformation from earlier since Michelle got to see the more polite side of her.
Some of the students were completely caught by surprised since Tsukiko they thought was always friendly and they were completely wrong with that assessment. Her brother would call anyone who thought she was one of those friendly kinds a fool, because they didn't know wicked she could become if you caught her at the wrong moment or happened to piss her off. Even the prettiest flowers have the sharpest and most dangerous thorns and sometimes those thorns can prove poisonous if you get too close to her. They knew there that this girl was one of those unpredictable kinds that you had to be be careful with.
@Xeiyenreisha Angelo looked at her as she looked pretty unhappy she even seemed hostile. However that just seemed cute that way, although Angelo might have a problem with liking hostile woman. Angelo sat next to her smiling as she asked what he wanted and Angelo was just enjoying it she was a cute girl but Angelo still liked Ethel the best but Angelo would still be nice to her "oh nothing much, I just thought id come over say hi after all you seem unhappy so maybe Id help make you feel better. I could even join you in the pool or maybe we could duel? Although I don't think you would win since you seem so hostile and prone to make a mistake Angelo said with a grin not caring either way he thought he would play into her aggression by suggesting something that she couldn't do something. After all anyone that was hot tempered would be bound to take a challenge when someone threw down a gauntlet. Angelo just needs to make a win and try again, now Angelo was starting to get obsessive with his synchro cards...
Maisy clenched her fists and stared intently at Akemi, almost literal stars in her eyes as she looked with wonder. Ninja Techniques? DUELING Ninja techniques? With no extra shipping and handling fee as long as she could see them? That was even better than knowing that ninjas existed! Flaring her nostrils up slightly, she took a deep breath and exhaled before nodding excitedly. "C-Could you!? I wanna see REAAAAAALLY badly! The last pro-duelist "ninja" was some hack with a trap-door built into the stage. But you're the real deal! I can smell it." she says, proudly pointing at her chest with her thumb before adding: "The McKellen nose is never wrong when it comes to talent!"
Humming, Maisy looked around. "...Maybe we should take it outside though...I mean, what if someone comes in and has to use the bathroom REAAAAALLY bad?" she says, being just a tad considerate. Last thing she wanted was someone to pee their pants from how sick these ninja moves'd be. Maisy actually doubted she could win, but she just couldn't help it; a literal ninja was asking! Who turns down a ninja? Fools, she thought, only fools turn down ninjas. Because then you get your neck broken and your body cut up and scattered across the desert winds. Or you just don't get to see their nice moves. Maisy would be considerate of whether Akemi chose to stay and duel in the bathroom or someone else, for the sake of simplicity.
"Well, I planned on going swimming." She hinted toward as she slouched back in her chair as her feet were still up on the table trying to relax. She still had to recuperate from her last duel since it did take quite a bit out of her. It was obvious that was the first time she dueled, because it felt like every ounce of energy she once had was drained out of her after that duel. She didn't think losing would bother her so much, but that mistake she made with 'Mirror Force' was eating at her mind and losing the opportunity to play Black Hole just made matters even worse. She probably should have used 'Dark Hole' to clear the field and then summon 'Card Trooper' that way she would have some leeway on the field and get in a good direct attack, but at the End Phase it would have had only 400 attack. Still, 400 more points to spot her Life Points with could have gotten to the turn she needed to draw her second 'Void Dragon'. She knew the Void archetype had cards which could deal with Lightsworn monsters, but it was a new archetype which had little support for it other than machine monsters. She would just have to build her deck with what she could until the archetype expanded where she could use better cards to isolate Michelle's cards.
Tsukiko remembered that her brother used prototype Void archetype cards that got around Lightsworn Sanctuary and Realm of Light's effect by using its card negating ability against it making the user of that card take damage when it negated card effects. She would need to find cards that did that same effect which her brother used to crush someone who used a Lightsworn deck against him. None of the prototype Void cards were official aside from the newer ones so she couldn't use them. She thought to herself as she tried to find some way to counter that decks annoying hindrance. Too bad I can't use the prototypes my brother used in the World Circuit as test cards to deal with that Lightsworn deck. Though I recall the Void archetype was built not only as a new archetype of its own, but also some of the cards in that structure were cards that countered the Lightsworn deck. None of those cards were made official aside from the newer ones which were just confirmed and released by the committee. She understood why her brother chose that specific deck. The deck allowed for quick and powerful attacks sacrificing something of equal value though the boost was well worth it. It was apparent that she would need to learn to adapt other cards to the abilities of the current Void archetype cards since the deck didn't have many cards to work with. She was hoping more of them would be released in the future later on.
She mumbled to herself as she turned her attention away from Angelo trying to collect her thoughts on what to do next. "If not for my brother, I probably would have lost that duel very quickly. I know he could have won that duel, but I just don't have the same amount of duel skill as he does. That's why my brother is one of the best duelists I've ever known. His skill and strategy is nearly impregnable due to the fact he's dueled since he was a very young child. He won with a starter deck and went on to be undefeated using that deck. Sure that deck had weaknesses, but he knew how to use those weaknesses to his advantage which is something I do not know how to do." Obviously Angelo probably would have had no idea what she was talking about when she was talking about her brother assisting her in her duel. He disappeared after the incident with Ethel and no one had seen him since nor Hayate. He was never around the indoor pool area as no one had seen him enter or leave. Still, she heard his voice and felt his presence during her duel with Michelle. She wondered why that was which struck her curiosity making it go wild for a moment?.
Tsukiko then remembered what Angelo said toward her as she was going through all the thoughts that flashed in her mind right now like strobe-lights trying to blind her focus. He did announce himself as friendly though she wasn't entirely sure he was trustworthy after that comment she felt from her brother's mind about him being a delinquent. The only reason he said that though was because he got in trouble with that teacher, but still her brother didn't seem to like or trust him which drove her toward being cautious. "I'm sure you met my brother earlier." She started her statement as she tried to loosen up a little bit, but she still had that cold cautious approach about not letting her barrier down. It wasn't the fact that he was new that she distrusted him. Rather the fact her brother said something about him and she tend to trust her brother's words since he has been her bodyguard since they were children. "My brother thinks you're trouble? Is he wrong to think that way? I only ask because I trust everything he says, because he has acted as my personal bodyguard since we were children."
"What bothers me..." She paused for a moment as she tried her hardest to put that teacher incident behind her, but the way he just carelessly threw a paperwad at her disturbed her way of thought. Teachers were supposed to be very trusting figures who were very lenient yet strict about their methods. She felt something darker about Vincent, but Angelo got in trouble which made her a bit suspicious about him. Was he a dangerous individual who would cause others harm? The students in the indoor pool area didn't seem to think so though she had learned from her brother too well that looks can always be so deceiving. "What provoked you to throw that paperwad at the teacher like that? If you say instinct I'll smack you. What was your real reason for doing? It was obviously a very dumb way to wake up the teacher." She cautioned as she kept a tight grip on her fan in case he said something that irritated her. If he was imposing too much she would certainly let him know it and that would give him the indication that she wanted breathing room, because it would feel like she was being suffocated.
He asked if she was unhappy which was a very true story especially by the gloomy look on her face along with the cast iron scowl. It looked like her face froze into that expression as she didn't like she was going to recover from what was bothering her anytime soon. She did recall that he offered to offer her to feel better, but there wasn't much he could do at the moment to ease her mind. She was hoping a relaxing dip in the pool would do the trick though she wasn't even sure that would loosen the tense rope that gripped tight onto her mind. "You sure know how to make a girl feel uncomfortable, I'll give you that." Tsukiko answered back as his words were making her feel very not relaxed. Here she was going to try to enjoy her day, but there wasn't much that could salvage it now. She didn't understand why she was so mad, but being angry was just making the problems that plagued her mind even worse. When he asked if he could join her in the pool, that nearly made Tsukiko bring her hand forward and smack him over the head with her fan. The way he phrased that bothered her just a little, but his nature said otherwise. She couldn't sense a dangerous aura from this individual, but she wasn't sure if she should just trust someone who her brother disliked.
"I never asked for your dueling advice! Keep it to yourself, jerk!" Angelo almost set off a flare in her eyes when he said she wouldn't win with the current poor attitude she was in. At the end of that statement she rose her voice to the point it echoed soundly in the room which caused a lot of stares at her. Sure, she was very upset at the moment, but she wasn't going to let some jerk just take advantage of her like that. It was a very ignorant thing of them to do anyway. She didn't really feel like dueling anymore though if he insisted so badly she wouldn't pass his offer up. She would though she hated agreeing to such a thing also take him up on his offer to go swimming with her, but she wouldn't allow any funny business. Besides, her brother would probably kill him if he did anything to her that she did not approve of. "I give you credit for your courage to ask something like that of me. Asking me to go for a swim would usually get someone pulverized by my brother. You probably know him. His name is Shinrei Ikushirou. Though I'm impressed you didn't hesitate on asking me that. Most boys won't even come near, because they are fearful of my brother. And make no mistake, he catches you getting flirtatious with me and you'll sorely regret it. Remember, we are just going swimming unless there is something else you would like to do instead? I guess it wouldn't hurt to kill some time and vent some of this stress that is storming my mind." She said with a slightly more polite tone though the vicious icy gaze in her eyes still remained. It wouldn't hurt to see what this person wanted at least. Also, perhaps she should give them a chance despite how her brother felt. They were brazen enough to approach her and ask her something she found a bit awkward.
"I'm going to strip down into my swimsuit. Don't you dare nosebleed or I'll make you regret it!" She reminded Angelo exclaiming as she stood up from her seat and pulled her shorts down after unbuttoning and unzipping them to reveal her black, yellow and purple striped bikini that she just previously bought. It was one of her newer ones that she hadn't worn yet and she liked anything that was striped. This one especially caught her eye since it was rainbow like. She then pulled the blouse over her head removing it revealing the top which was same patterned as her bottom. She folded those clothes and set them on the table. She got stares from several boys which was disturbing toward her, but not unnatural since this was the first time anyone in the academy ever got to see her in a bikini. She then sat back down in her chair as she was going to relax a moment as she awaited Angelo's answer. She wasn't even sure if he brought a bathing suit with him so he could enjoy the pool with her.
Angelo smiled as she was thinking about what to say no doubt and as she started to mumble to herself about something or other she then asked why Angelo threw a paper wad at the teacher in class and that he better say it wasn't instinct or she would hit him. Angelo simply laughed a little at the threat not because he thought it wasn't valid but because she was conversing with him and he got her into it with just a few words. Angelo looked up in thought to give her an answer and he shrugged and said "I wanted to wake the teacher up without getting up and leaving Ethel and I thought that the paper wad was a better option then yelling to the teacher to wake up. No I am not a threat I have no intention of hurting anyone here im simply here to duel If anything im here to have fun and learn while im doing it." Angelo said as if it wasn't a big deal. Angelo sighed when she said that he could make a girl uncomfortable but that wasn't his intent he wanted to talk to her but what was it with the girls here that assume Angelo is a bad guy or something? Angelo was just fun loving and free spirited he had no actual malice towards anyone not even those that beat him in a duel because it was just enjoyable to do so.
Angelo jerked backwards before she could hit him with her fan but she didn't really make the reach to actually hit him so Angelo was sensing that she was suppressing the urge to do so. Angelo just smiled as she yelled and stood up angry at him this was fun to him for some odd reason getting a rise out of her was fun, maybe because he doesn't have siblings back home. Angelo then mocked with fake outrage as she said that he was flirting with her "why madam I never! I never insinuated that I was flirting with you, you simply viewed my offer that way. Then Angelo laughed a little at his own joke as he sat back down and she explained who her brother was but honestly that wasn't the biggest concern for him. He wasn't dealing with her brother, he didn't care that she viewed her brother as a hero, what mattered was that he was talking to her. Not some champion, not some overprotective brother it was simply her. "calling your brother for help isn't a threat to me, im not talking to your brother, I am talking to you Tsukiko nobody else is on my mind but the person that is in front of me" Angelo said softly sighing a little as he relaxed and watched her strip down to her bathing suit. When she changed and waited for Angelo's answer to her bathing suit option he smiled and snapped his finger before giving her a thumbs up "very nice choice" Angelo said simply thinking that he would just strip down to his boxers and swim like that. Otherwise he would just put his feet in the water
As Leander rode the elevator, he took out a pack and began opening it. He knew it would be safer to open them elsewhere, but he couldn't resist waiting. In his mind, they were begging to be opened, and Leander had to answer the call. As he opened them, he saw quite a few cards that he knew would fit his deck, while others just looked cool. Leander noted that he was getting a lot of these "Gravekeeper" cards as well, which wasn't bad, but they weren't something he was interested in. The elevator door opened, and Leander decided that pack opening would have to wait a bit longer. As he put the cards away into a pocket, Leander looked up to see a friend of his. "Oh hey, good to see ya again!" Leander said cheerfully, greeting Hayato.
Hayato pushed the elevator button to head towards his room. As the elevator doors opened, he noticed a familiar face. "Speak of the devil, I was looking for you. I kinda wanted to apologize for leaving you behind the other day." Hayato stated.
Leander chuckled at Hayato's apology, then dismissively said, "Ahh, don't worry about it. It's my fault for getting lost." Smiling, Leander continued, "So, what are you up to? I was gonna go find a place to open up some packs."
Hayato noted the fact he wanted to open his packs. "What about the cafeteria?" Hayato suggested. "We'll grab a bite while we're at it."
"Sounds good," Leander accepted. The cafeteria did sound good; a meal, card pack opening excitement, and maybe even a Duel afterwards. Leander looked at the multitude of buttons on the elevator pad, trying to remember which floor the cafeteria was on. After a moment, Leander eventually remmebered and pushed the corresponding button. The elevator doors closed, and the elevator made a swift descent. The doors opened once more, revealing a large room filled with benches and tables and trays. There were also quite a few students already inside, either eating, trading, Dueling, or just lounging around.
Leander waited his turn in the line, grabbed a sandwich and a carton of milk, then found a table to sit down at. He took a bite out of his sandwich, then pulled out one of his Retro Packs and began opening it. "Ooh, Bottomless Trap Hole," Leander said after swallowing, noticing that particular card among the collection.
Hayato was 2 students behind Leander and decided to grab a sandwich and some juice. He didn't really care what was on the sandwich, and took a seat on the other side of the table across Leander. "Any good cards there? I know I got some more help for my army with my packs. You wanna see the other cards I pulled?" Hayato asked Leander though he should've just asked one thing at a time taking a bite of his sandwich.
Opening up more packs and eating more of his sandwich, Leander was getting increasingly impressed with what he was getting from his packs. "Book of Moon, not bad," Leander said at one point. "Lightforce Sword, that looks fun," he said at another. Eventually, though, he ran out of packs to open, but that was ok; he now had to sort through his entire card collection and rearrange his deck. "Sure," Leander said in response to Hayato's last question before shoving the last of his sandwich into his mouth. He patted off his hands on each other, then pulled out his deck and placed them on the table. Quickly chewing and swallowing, Leander continued, asking, "What do you have?"
Hayato had put his cards back into the packs he had opened and simply spread them out on the table. "Not too much. My pull was alright. Take a look, I got a bunch of cards that don't quite work with my deck." Hayato inspected his haul once again, not seeing anything that struck him as useful other than card trader and the situational Electric Virus.
Leander occassionally looked at Hayato's cards as he made improvements to his own deck, taking out cards that weren't very useful and adding in cards that were a lot more useful. The process took only a few minutes. Once that was done, Leander held his deck with both hands at arm's length, admiring it. "I think this looks good," Leander said. "You wanna have a Duel?"
Hayato put up a smile. "Why, you think I was looking for you?" Hayato put his cards back into a stack and put them in his pocket, preparing his Duel Disk. "Its time for my second siege."
Leander grinned, readying his Duel Disk as well, stepping back to get some space for the Duel. "We'll see if the Samurai can overcome Heaven itself," Leander playfully taunted.
The two duelists got ready, and the Duel Disks powered up. The field was set.
Hayato drew his starting hand and started by taking a spell card and activating it "I will start by activating Supply Squad, followed by The Six Samurai Yaichi, and end my turn," Hayato said, watching the black armored samurai wielding his trusty bow.
"Draw!" Leander declared, drawing his next card. His hand was quite interesting at the moment. "I Summon the Tuner Monster, Nova Caller, in Attack Position!" Leander declared, a little orange wreath with wings and a trumpet appearing on the field.
Nova Caller - Level 1, ATK 100
"And now for its monster effect! When Nova Caller is Normal or Special Summoned, I can Special Summon a Parshath monster from my hand in Attack Position, but its ATK and DEF drop to zero!" Leander explained, the glorious centaur warrior appearing on the field.
AirKnight Parshath - Level 5, ATK 1900 --> ATK 0
"And now for some good ol' Tuning action!" Leander announced, the two monsters rising up into the sky. "Proud warrior of the sky! Rise up and accept your newfound strength! Synchro Summon! Level 6, Rising Knight Parshath!" Leander chanted, a more glorious version of Airknight Parshath appearing in place of the original.
Rising Knight Parshath - Level 6, ATK 2100
"Rising Knight, attack that samurai!" Leander commanded, the centaur galloping forward to swipe at the bowman.
Hayato watched his faithful samurai servant get destroyed and drew his card from Supply Squad. "You sure got some guts, messing with Synchro already," Hayato called out to Leander.
"What can I say? I like my Synchro," Leander replied, also drawing a card from Rising Knight Parshath's effect. "I now place 3 cards face-down and end my turn," Leander said.
"My turn. Draw!" Leander declared, drawing another card from his deck. "I play the Continuous Spell: The Light's Calling. With this effect, once per turn, I can Normal Summon a Level 5 Fairy-type monster without Tributing, and it just so happens that I have another Airknight Parshath in my hand," Leander said cheerfully, a second centaur warrior appearing on the field.
Airknight Parshath - Level 5, ATK 1900
"Battle Phase! Rising Knight, attack Hayato's face-down monster!" Leander commanded, the warrior galloping forward once more for a swipe of the sword.
The facedown card was another Yaichi, which he had recently opened from his packs. "I'm sorry to report, but he will stay for another turn," Hayato said revealing Shien's Squire from his hand. "If I reveal the Squire in question, my Samurai cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects. Hayato explained putting the Squire in the Graveyard.
"But since Rising Knight deals piercing damage, you still take damage!" Leander added, the wave of force striking Hayato.
Hayato - 3200 LP --> 1900 LP
"A general must always take some hits for his soldiers," Hayato said bracing himself for the impact of the strikes incoming. "Lemme guess, they both have the same ability?"
"You know it!" Leander confirmed, drawing a card from Rising Knight's effect. "Now, Airknight Parshath, attack that Yaichi!" The second centaur warrior rushed forward to deliver a downward strike.
Hayato - 1900 LP --> 800 LP
Drawing his next card due to Airknight Parshath's effect, Leander examined his new cards. Nothing impressive, but perhaps in time they could be useful. "Turn End," Leander said.
Hayato drew a card from the top of the deck and looked at his card. "I switch Yaichi to Attack position and attack Airknight Parshath," Hayato ordered as a desparate measure to get one more card and watched Yaichi attempt to attack Airknight Parshath but was cut down the instant he tried to draw his bow.
Hayato - 800 LP --> 200 LP
Hayato drew his card from the Supply Squad and laughed a little. "Now there are 2 Six Samurais in my Grave, I banish both my Yaichi's and Special Summon Enishi, Shien's Chancellor, and activate his effect to destroy one monster on the field. Of course, I choose to destroy your Synchro monster!" Hayato declared, setting another monster in facedown defense position, ending his turn. "Even if I am going to lose... I will not lose without a fight! Turn end!" Hayato declared.
Enishi, Shien's Chancellor - Level 6, ATK 2200
"Well, that's not fun," Leander said in mock disappointment as Rising Knight was downed. Truthfully, though, he liked the new development. Such a one-sided Duel like last time wouldn't be very fun. Leander wanted to see where this would go. Fortunately, he still managed to draw a card from when Yaichi kamikazed, so there was that.
"Draw!" Leander declared, drawing yet another card. Nothing to help him get out of his current pinch, but it was a fun card. "I'll Set one monster, then have Airknight Parshath attack that facedown monster of yours!" Leander said, Airknight Parshath rushing forward to attack.
The card revealed was Chamberlain of the Six Samurai
Chamberlain of the Six Samurai - Level 3, DEF 2000
Leander flinched as the attack rebounded off the Chamerlain, taking 100 points of damage.
Leander - 4000 LP --> 3900 LP
"Setting up some defense, eh?" Leander asked rhetorically.
"What kind of question is that?" Hayato taunted. "Of course I'm setting up defence."
"Well then, I'll just place one card facedown and end my turn there," Leander ended.
"Draw," Hayato said drawing his next card. "I summon Legendary Six Samurai - Mizuho" Hayato called out as the red armored female Samurai appeared before "I will also activate her effect and sacrifice Chamberlain of the Six Samurai and destroy your facedown monster as well as Parshath with Enishi!" Hayato quickly declared.
Legendary Six Samurai - Mizhuho Level 3, ATK 1600
Leander had no defenses against Hayato's effects, so he was forced to watch his two monsters get destroyed. Although his defenses were being ripped to shreds, Leander was still having fun. It was the beginning of a turn-around, after all.
"Now you have no defenses... Mizuho, attack Leander directly!" Hayato ordered feeling a little more confident watching his new card do her job already
"I activate a Trap card: Negate Attack!" Leander countered, a whirlwind blocking Mizuho's blade before it connected.
"I end my turn," Hayato said, still with a board advantage.
"Now to see if my deck will listen in my time of need," Leander said, looking down at his deck. "Draw!" Leander declared, drawing his next card. Looking at the card, Leander was pleasantly surprised. "Ooooo.... wait a minute," Leander muttered, counting his fingers, then expressed mock frustration. "Darn, that won't work. Let's see..." Leander said, looking over the rest of his hand, then spotted one card that would do the job. "Ah, this will work," Leander said happily. Striking a pose, Leander announced, "Well now, it is time for one of the most glorious angels to arrive and reveal her presence!"
"First, I discard Hecatrice from my hand to add Valhalla, Hall of the Fallen from my deck to my hand," Leander explained, pulling out the card that ejected itself and playing it onto the field, a stone hallway with red curtains emerging from the ground. "With Valhalla's effect, when I have no monsters on my field, I can Special Summon one Fairy-type monster from my hand, and that Fairy is...." Leander said as he held the card up into the air, pausing for dramatic effect. "Archlord Kristya!" Leander announced, playing the card. The red-winged angel descended from the heavens, wings flapping gently as it descended.
Archlord Kristya - Level 8, ATK 2800
"2800 attack!?" Hayato exclaimed. "All you needed was 1800!" Hayato quickly said taking a step back.
"It's time for the grand finale!" Leander announced. "Archlord Kristya, attack Enishi!" The angel shot forward, hand raised to deliver the final blow.
Hayato braced himself for the impact watching his lifepoint tick down.
Hayato - 200 LP --> 0 LP
Hayato walked towards Leander and put out his hand. "That was certainly a good duel. I'm guessing I'm getting a bit rusty, but mark my words: The samurai shall conquer the heavens, no matter how long it takes," Hayato said with confident words after seeing his deck grow in strength.
As the monsters and the field faded away, and Hayato put out his hand, Leander returned the handshake. With a smile and a nod, Leander responded to Hayato's words with, "The heavens are always ready to accept that challenge."
Hayato laughed. "If I want to challenge you again, I might need your code." Hayato said pulling out his D-Ciever pointing at his rather empty friend list "That way we can call each other when we wanna set up a Duel,"
"Wait, these things can do that?" Leander said in surprise, pulling out his D-Ceiver. Pushing a few buttons, he managed to find the friendlist, and soon the two were on each other's friend lists. "Perfect!" Leander said happily as the job was done. "So, what do you wanna do now?" Leander asked.
"I need to take care of some stuff in my room. I still need to fill in that form for the luxury items. I believe Light gets 4 items rather than my 2," Hayato answered. "We'll see each other later then. I might take a nap after all that running with Hayate." Hayato said walking off into the distance holding his hand up
"Friend lists and luxury items... you learn something new every day," Leander muttered in amazement. "Sounds great! I'll be seeing ya another time, then!" With that said, Leander ran off, heading back to his dorm room.
After Brad hands Angelo the pack he picked up for him, he opens his own. Slowly flipping through the cards, he frowned. Math wasn't his strong suit but he was certain that the odds weren't that bad. At least he got a few Worms. Speaking of Worms, he had to ask Angelo to trade with him so he could...
As Brad tore his gaze away from his cards, he realized that Angelo was nowhere to be seen. Letting out a deep sigh, Brad put the cards into his blazer's pockets. It was getting late, he figured as he looked at how dark it was outside.
Tsukiko sighed very deeply when Angelo obviously misunderstood her. Well, she partially brought it on herself when she chose to remove her clothes to reveal her swimsuit, but this wasn't a swimsuit contest. She didn't want his opinion on how good her swimsuit looked on her. An awkward compliment that would usually come out of the mind of some perverted old man who had hidden dirty magazines underneath their bed or in their secret place inside their closet. She shook her head in disbelief as he had just completely ignored her confusing what she said as wanting a compliment for what she was wearing. She facepalmed a bit as she tried to recover from him just saying some random comment to her. She asked what he wanted to do since she was willing to hang out with him. Not what he thought of her swimsuit since she didn't need a compliment on what she wore. She wore her clothes, because she liked them. Not because other people liked how they looked on her. "Angelo, you're so dense that it is kind of amusing." A chuckle managed to pierce that cold look on her face and her face livened up just a little bit so he could see another side of her. He managed to make her laugh a little without ever intending to. Maybe he wasn't as bad as her brother said he was and she might give him a chance to be her friend. But only her friend since she had no interest in getting into a real relationship with a boy and she sensed from his aura that he liked someone else.
She returned her hands to her side after her little laugh she let out. Just for that moment he saw her cheerful smile despite the gloomy look on her face which was full of emptiness. Her eyes cried out that she was filled with an entire sadness though she tried to hide that underneath that heavy exterior of hers that Ben managed to breakthrough awhile ago. He certainly wasn't someone who knew how to be empathetic like Ben from what she sensed and he looked like the kind that didn't know how to entirely handle the opposite sex even though he gave the impression he thought he did. I'll give him credit for at least trying. Points for effort but he still has a long way to go if he wants to be able to handle the opposite sex. She thought to herself as she turned her attention away Angelo for a second as she thought to herself quietly trying to section all other talking out of her mind for that moment.
"Why would I call my brother for help?" Tsukiko almost laughed when he said that which caused her to cover her mouth from preventing herself from doing so. Again, Angelo said something stupid funny which brought the warmth of laughter to her face. Sure she did intimidate him with the thought of her brother, but he kind of gave her the reaction she was expecting when she said that. Of course, she wouldn't call on her brother since she could solve her own problems on her own without her brother's help. She was just complimenting him on his courage to approach her knowing how cold-hearted her brother really was. His cold nature alone is what snowed most people's minds over to the point they couldn't even move toward her without falling victim to his vicious blizzard which blew their thoughts away. She mumbled to herself again as she was about to go back to face Angelo after she had finished. This kid is kind of stupid funny. Strangely I'm taken back by his naivety.
"You're an interesting one Angelo." Tsukiko started off as she had returned her eyes toward Angelo where she thought he was kind of silly even though he probably didn't intend to come off as that way. First impressions were always important and that's how she saw him upon getting a chance to finally meet him. She decided she would introduce herself at least. He did introduce himself after all and it would only be fair that she do so too. "The name is Tsukiko. Tsukiko Ikushirou." She stated as she casually introduced herself trying to lighten her tone a little bit so it wasn't as hostile and cold embraced as it was when he first introduced himself. She was a little bit more friendly looking, but that stormy cloud continued to rain down on top of her not letting that empty look of despair in her red eyes leave her. Unlike most students, her eyes were an unnatural red color where she was born that way. Shinrei had the same color eyes as his sister. Both with the blood looking red colored irises that you usually didn't find in most people. Why they were born were those kind of eyes was unknown?
"I will ask again, Angelo? This is the last time too. What would you like to do? I could duel though..." She paused as she grabbed her duel disk returning it to her risk, but you could notice the wear and tear her body had taken earlier. She had been in a duel earlier and her condition certainly wasn't one that should go ahead and duel again considering she collapsed earlier. One of the students told Angelo Tsukiko had collapsed earlier from one of her earlier duels due to unknown causes. None of them knew what happened either during Michelle's duel and only she knew what it was, but she wasn't looking like she wanted to talk about it very much. That fact could also be the reason why she was somewhat unhappy at the moment since she was frustrated with what happened after that duel concluded. They only informed Angelo, because they were concerned that she might be pushing herself too hard.
Ignia continued to dart around, as if she were a bee and Ethel the honey, with no end to the madness in sight. The tone of their voice kept switching, the way they behaved proceeded to jump from one thing to another. The bunny-girl's discomfort continued to grow each passing second, not knowing how to deal with this person... They also seemed to assume Ethel was strong, liked being approached, and liked new friends. Only the first of those three was true. "Ngh... You're energetic..." the girl muttered out, not knowing what else to really say in response to Ignia. Her last sentence asked to be friends, and honestly, Ethel didn't quite know what to do. She gets a feeling that, if Ethel refused, something really bad was going to happen to her.
"S-Sure... Let's... Be friends." they stuttered out, before fully thinking it through. Did she just say that out loud? Every muscle in Ethel's body relaxed for a minute, alongside her eyes becoming unfocused. Something inside of the girl seemed to stop working for a few moments, whilst she was thinking about what she just said. 'Ethel, you're an IDIOT!' she mentally berated herself, then put on a little smile. No taking that back now... "I accept your apology. And I did place in Light, thank you for noticing." Her tone of voice wasn't entirely sincere, but it was the best the girl could pull off on a whim.
Angelo smiled as he got her to laugh for the first time since he got their. Finally this girl was starting to loosen up a little although Angelo could sense that he looked naïve in her eyes but honestly Angelo didn't mind as long as she was starting to feel happy even if she thought Angelo was dumb or something along those lines. Angelo then stood up and took a bow as she introduced herself finally to him "it is nice to meet you Tsukiko Ikushirou" Angelo said with a smile as he sat back down next to her. The sad thing was that Angelo could still sense some sort of despair in her eyes despite her starting to laugh and it would take more then a quick chuckle to make her feel better completely but as they say one must crawl before they can walk.
As she started to ask him what he wanted to do Angelo did want to duel that was no question but he heard from his D-ciever that she collapsed and the faculty was worried that she was working herself to much. Angelo gently placed his hand on her duel disk to stop her from putting it all the way back on "you don't need to duel me. I would like to talk if you don't mind, after all I came here to relax just as much as you did. It would be nice to simply talk to someone for a while and learn more about the students ill be working with" Angelo said but really he did want to duel but he wouldn't force the girl he didn't want to be responsible for her next collapse. Angelo wouldn't mind just talking to the girl after all since she started to become less and less hostile with each laugh Angelo was able to get out of the girl.
Nathaniel gave a loud sigh as he stretched out his arms over his head, the adrenaline leaving his body. It had gotten pretty dark while he and Megan were stuck in virtual reality playing card games, which probably meant that the time was getting pretty late since they were in a dessert. Considering how much of a sweat Nathaniel had worked up jumping around and climbing up and down ladders, it was probably a good idea to head back to his dorm and take a shower before going to bed. He had just Action Dueled in a dress shirt and tie too. Yeah, t-shirts will definitely be the order of the day tomorrow.
"Well, I should probably head back." Nathaniel said to Megan with a yawn and a stretch. "See you in class tomorrow."
Giving a wave to Camryn in farewell, Nathaniel left the arena and began his trek back to the main building. Now that the sun wasn't beating down on him like a drum, it was actually quite cool walking around in the desert night. It was a calming walk and his sweat cooled quickly. As Nathaniel came close to the Duel Tower, he suddenly thought that he should probably visit the card shop. Judging from his last duel, there were probably some cards he needed to replace. Like Fluffal Mouse. In fact, he wondered who included that in the decklist in the first place. Plus, there was supposedly a new pack that included new Performapal support, and that was always exciting.
When Nathaniel reached the building, he headed straight for the card shop. As he prepared to set his points down, so to speak, his gaze shifted towards a hulking giant. Seriously, this guy was huge. And Nathaniel was just standing there. In the card shop. With this giant of a man. What would his parents say?
Just as Brad was about to leave for his dorm, he felt like he was being watched. Turning around, he spotted a sweaty fellow in some sort of fancy clothes. While people staring at him dumbfounded was not exactly an uncommon thing back home, considering that this school seemed to be some sort of weirdness magnet, he had not really expected it here.
"Hello," said Brad, his voice echoing in the mostly empty shop area. The temptation to add 'little man' to that brief statement was strong but Brad managed to fight it off.
Camryn was shocked, to say the least. That was way better than her and Megan's duel! "Oh my god, that was amazing! Nate, you have got to teach me how to Action Duel like that!" Unfortunately, it looked like her happiness went unheard, and Nathaniel merely yawned loudly and left, though he at least waved at Camryn when he walked by. Camryn was a bit put out, but figured Eh, at least he waved. That means he hasn't written me off completely. She now noticed that it had gotten to be nighttime fairly quickly while their duel had been going on. She got up, stretched, and yelled over to Megan "I think I'll be heading inside too. See ya in class tomorrow!" Camryn proceeded to walk back to the school. Man, this is really different from back home. I don't think we've got any deserts in New Zealand. Though I know Australia's pretty much all desert. I wonder why? Camryn's thoughts continued in this vein until she arrived inside the school. Where should I go now? The card shop? ...Nah, the new Deepspace support hasn't dropped yet. I guess I'll just explore around a bit. She picked a random hallway and set off down it.
"Oh-ah-ahem!" Nathaniel was stuttering a little out of embarrassment of being caught staring, but he managed to catch it at the last second and disguise it as a clearing of the throat.
"Hi. My name's Nathaniel. What's yours?" Nathaniel gave a brief introduction of himself and extended a hand for the man in front of him to shake, hoping he wouldn't crush it into a fine mist.
Now that Nathaniel took a closer look at his new acquaintance, he realized that he looked vaguely familiar. Wait a minute, he saw him in a bunch of his classes today! He hadn't really noticed him throughout the day, which was extremely strange, since he would think that with a build like that, he would stand out more. A lot more.
Normally Tsukiko did not like other people telling her what to do. Like her brother, she preferred others not to worry about her since she could take care of herself. It was obvious that she did not take care of herself earlier and allowed herself to become so weak conditioned in the eyes of others that she mysteriously collapsed after Michelle's finishing blow during the duel. However, when she came to after the explosion had lifted and the dust had dissolved she didn't feel a thing other than a little lethargic.
Angelo gently placed his hand on her duel disk to stop her from putting it all the way back on "you don't need to duel me. I would like to talk if you don't mind, after all I came here to relax just as much as you did. It would be nice to simply talk to someone for a while and learn more about the students ill be working with." She wanted to flare up out of anger and yell at him for saying that since she didn't need anyone's help when it came to her health. She thought she could take of herself and that certainly did not change when Angelo prevented her from putting her duel disk back on. She closed her eyes and gave off a very long and deep sigh as she let the long breath she took refresh her lungs and let the oxygen settle so that she could attempt to relax without her behavior acting like a short fused timebomb. She knew that Angelo meant well, but it only caused her more adversity when she couldn't comprehend the reason behind why she collapsed earlier.
She remembered she did get up earlier to prevent herself from having to take a cold shower, but it wasn't that much lack of sleep. The fact was is her body shouldn't be this tired after a duel. Something else must have transpired during the duel which took its toll on her body, but she didn't quite know what it was. If she tried to bring it up she knew no one would believe her that she heard her brother's voice and felt his presence when he was clearly not there. Just like when her 'Void Dragon' card flashed right in front of her eyes. Maybe that is what it wanted her to see, but what was it wanting her to look at. She thought to herself as her bitter face still somewhat showed throw her charismatic lightened mood. Ugh, this makes absolutely no sense. What did this card want to show me? I don't understand what was so important from that memory that it just wanted me to re-experience it again. I'd rather just have that memory disappear completely.
Tsukiko kept 'Void Dragon' which she pulled out of her deck gripped tight between her two fingers as she examined the card. There was nothing unique about the text on the card. The fact it glowed when she entered the indoor pool area confused the hell out of her, but maybe it glowed because Michelle knew who her brother was and possibly who she was despite not showing it earlier. She felt like Michelle knew a little more than she was giving hint to about that incident. Why would she even ask about it if she didn't have some kind of knowledge about it? She heard that there was a tragedy during the final round. Some mysterious devious duelist had shown their true colors in the Finals and severely injured one of the duelists and then during the final round there was a tragedy that happened but her father's company covered the whole thing up with the help of the media. I have some questions of my own for Michelle. My main question is how did she know about the accident during my brother's duel and how did she know about my brother dueling in the World Circuit? Something just doesn't add up with her at all.
Tsukiko decided that she would think about that later. She would allow Angelo to talk with her for awhile, but he wasn't to ask about certain issues because she would not give him the answers he wanted anyway. There are just some things she just didn't want to talk about and what happened earlier with Michelle was one fine example of what she wanted to bury in her mind for now. A bit disappointment that Angelo was acting the same way the other people were she acknowledged him and then took a seat where he did sit down right beside her which did make her a little nervous because she never had a boy sit that close to her aside from her brother. She would not even allow Hayato to sit that close to her, because she knew Haas might make fun of her about having a boyfriend when it wasn't like that all. She hardly even knew Hayato and he was barely just an acquaintance. For the face she hardly even knew him and find very strange that her brother was cooperating with him like he was trusting him which was certainly unusual about her brother. Unless he felt something about Hayato that connected him to himself he wouldn't have agreed that easily so that had to be the answer.
"Lucky that you got to go to school. I, on the other hand, was home schooled not ever getting the chance to make any friends. My father thought the outside world was a bad influence on the Ikushirou family name and he didn't want to be bringing in any outsiders to control our company." Tsukiko started off as she sighed deeply very disappointed and also somewhat lonely though she never admitted it herself. You could tell from her eyes that the girl was troubled even though she tried to hide it under her tough attitude of hers which sometimes came off as very cold depending on the circumstance and situation. Her attitude could change quickly which was directly affected by the situation at hand. She could easily go from laughing to screaming in anger that she wanted people to leave her alone. Despite the empty look in her eyes which was full of melancholy she decided to press on with her speech. "If you're asking, am I the daughter of Sakama Ikushirou then yes I am. My father used to run a multi-billion dollar company which is affiliated with Duel Monsters. I'm from the Heart of Duel Monsters which is Domino City. It is where I was born and raised. I don't want to go into anything about my father, because I do not like talking about him at all." She paused after she mentioned that she didn't want to talk about her father.
One would ask why does she not want to talk about her father, but judging by that scowl on her face which looks like animosity devoured her happiness it was apparent that her father probably wasn't an honorable man. Which was nothing short of the truth. In fact, Tsukiko had an extreme dislike for her father, but she didn't abhor him like her brother did. Her brother even tried to kill their father, but he could never go through with the act. She knew that he couldn't bring himself to be on her father's level. Her father was a terrible person, but that was another story for another time. Thinking about her father right now probably was not the best idea considering how on edge she was earlier. "The current owner of Ikushirou Enterprises is..." She paused for a moment as she almost blundered on the fact that was being kept a secret. The company was investigating itself for possible leaks inside the company and to divulge the details on its corruption during the World Circuit. To protect the heir of the company, their identity was kept secret where a substitute took over the company in their place though always consulting with the owner of the company.
It was probably noticeable that Tsukiko had a very deep history that was wrought with misery. The way the girl looked gave clear indication that she was hiding things about herself that she didn't want others to see, but no one really knew why she was shielding them from those things. The look of despair on her face embolden with a sharp tongue indicated that her past greatly affected not only her character, but what kind of person she wanted to become making it harder to achieve that goal. After all, the girl was a mysterious silver haired maiden who was pretty much an amnesiac when it came to her past. For some reason she had forgotten almost everything about her past other than the few shards that remained in grasp for her to touch. Not really any of those memories were ones she wanted to recall and she was a bit suspicious if this was her father's doing. She had heard about a project her father worked on which drove people into complete despair allowing them to wield their entire dueling power and harness the complete capacity of their dueling spirit. A terrible plan he was hatching which she knew wasn't going to flower anything that was good. She wondered if that's why her brother entered Duel Tower. To see if there was a link between his father and Duel Tower, but she knew he wouldn't ever say anything about it because he really hated his father.
Brushing all those thoughts aside for now she would focus on trying to enjoy herself with Angelo though it was very difficult when her mind ran wild with curiosity. It was very hard to focus when she wanted to know the meaning behind everything that was happening to her. Was it all predetermined or was it just mere coincidence decided by the threads of fate? "Sorry if I'm losing focus. I just have a lot of things that are on my mind at the moment. Feel free to tell me about yourself if you want. I'll try to listen." Her hesitation was giving hint that something was really bothering her, but she wouldn't say what it was. She took a drink of her orange soda which was still on the table as she took her duel disk on the table and set it on the floor underneath her chair sliding 'Void Dragon' back into her deck. Perhaps getting that card out of her hand would help ease the tension, but unfortunately nothing really changed. She still felt a little strange and her mind still was occupied with all these things she didn't have her answers to.
@Xeiyenreisha Angelo smiled as she sat down next to him seeing that she was starting to trust him at least a little bit more. Angelo made sure to pay attention as she talked about going to school and being homeschooled in an environment where her father wanted her safe. which didn't seem that bad to Angelo but he could sense that she had some bad memories about her past. Angelo had it easy at least emotionally, Angelo had to work everyday without having as much fun as most kids would have but other then that he was raised in a loving home. Angelo nodded as she explained that her father was a multi millionaire for duel monsters and despite that Angelo didn't really care. Why would he after all since he lived in the country side working for his meals. When she started to talk about the company Angelo could see how much it was shaking her up about it so Angelo decided to try and take a chance. Angelo gently put his hand on her shoulder gently patting it to let her know it was okay "you don't need to say anything more then you want to. It doesn't matter to me what your family or business is like because im only interested in talking about you." Angelo said gently hoping that it would help as he took his hand back and he laid back listening to her and then she wanted Angelo to talk about himself.
"well im from the countryside actually. My family was in charge of a large farm their we grew produce and sold milk and all that. I worked just about everyday to make sure their was food on the table. One day a turbo duelist blew a tire near my house and I helped him he soon taught me all about turbo dueling and It was thanks to him that I wanted to be a turbo duelist. Soon I had to work even more to make my own duel runner and deck back home. I made it from scratch and although my parents didn't want me to be a duelist their was nothing they could say to make me change my mind. Then I ended up here that's pretty much my story in a nutshell" Angelo said with a smile thinking that it was odd his life story could be condensed into a few simple sentences. Angelo then realized that she was the first person he told about his past since he got here. That's a pretty big milestone for him here...
Ethel mentioned that Ignia was energetic which made her snort a little giggle under her breath but what would cause the eventual excitement to peak was what Ethel said next. "S-Sure... Let's... Be friends." This caused a momentary reaction of Ignia freezing in place unable to say anything while Ethel continued to Thank her for apologising. Perhaps Ignia was suffering a moment of error inside her mind as it frantically searched to reboot back to a regular state. Either way Ignia's mind was brimming with thoughts. 'I did it I got a friend on the 2nd day of a new school for once in my life, We can just chill together I could scout for potential duels for her. She could defeat those that beat me which is probably gonna be often.' Ignias face started to twitch at that thought. 'ohohoho-boy this is gonna be fun' Ignia thought to herself as her eyes began to widen, as if this wasn't even their final form. Ignia shook her head finally back in what was referred to as the real world.
One could say Ignia had been slightly oblivious to Ethels voice but that didn't really matter to her. "So Ethel my blue haired friend, how was your day today because mine has been pretty uneventful until I met you." Ignia said with a look of pure childlike glee in her eyes, which changed to show battle hardened experience. "You probably know how to handle yourself in a fight right? If that is the case then you could help me out of a jam if I got kinda stuck yes?" Ignia quizzed her new friend. Then Ignia's eyes got their regular slightly mischievous tone back. Her personality did seem to shift awfully quickly for one of the youngest girls at the entire academy. "I mean if I am coming on too strong just say, I just didn't really have many friends and your the first friend I have had here." Ignia said with a little shyness in her voice. "so... promise me we can stay friends for as long as we are here. I won't be dead weight I swear!" The green eyed girl said with a look of determination on her face, that showed she wanted to prove herself to be somebody to be feared, what didn't really help was her youthful appearance.
This girl really did change her mood on a whim... Ethel was, once again, unable to really say or do much of anything when Ignia barraged her with requests, questions and what have you not. Though it wasn't as bad as the first time, and the bunny girl did seem a lot less tense compared to before. Maybe they were already getting used to the energy, who knew? "...I do..." Ethel shyly replies when Ignia asked het if she could hold herself in a real fight. Then something unexpected happens. A small blush appeared on Ethel's cheeks, and just the tiniest of smiles was creeping up. "My day's been fine..." she went on, and actually... Giggled a little?
"Jeez... Seems like you'll be a handful..." Ethel murmured under her breath, face turned away from her new 'friend'. When she did return looks, her face had gotten back to the stern and mechanical look it had before. "I can't help you out if you're too weak." Ethel starts, off, looking straight into Ignia's eyes while saying so. "And I'm not going to protect you either. You'll need to become strong on your own." Normally, Ethel would've ended the conversation there, but this girl... Unlike Vincent, she didn't show locked away skill, but... "...But I'll help out anyway, okay? We'll both be the best we can this year. I'm going to make sure you don't have to be deadweight." Ethel spoke, her expression having softened somewhat. There was something about this young, energetic (and short) girl that she felt attached to. Maybe it was the innocence, or Ethel'd gone delusional. Either way, it seemed that against all odds, Ethel had found a friend among the crowd after all.
Megan nodded and watched Nate leave, quickly followed by Camryn, both of whom she waved at as they left and found herself nearly alone in the stadium. Well that had been a lot of fun. She'd gotten to do some action dueling and decided that she'd loved it. It was much more fun than standard dueling, though she still wanted to try turbo dueling at least once. It sounded pretty intense. Now she needed to work on her notes to improve herself. Megan jogged to her room so she could grab the notebook she had and start writing things down immediately, while they were still fresh in her mind.
She'd lost her first duel because she'd been too aggressive. She'd won her next duel because her monsters had been boosted up enough to out attack and royal decree kept them safe. She'd nearly won the next duel for the same reason, but her fatal mistake was allowing her opponent to do a stupid move while being able to stop it. By the time his plan was in effect she couldn't play her action card anymore and she had lost. Tonight or tomorrow she could get some more cards. Needed some better equip spells, maybe a better monster to spell/trap ratio. Megan would have to wait until she got the cards to do more deck crafting. Finally she arrived at her room, whipped out her notebook, and immediatly began jotting things down.
