@KoukiI have to agree, a dust user like Jimmy would probably have a tough time with Kallum in the battle, but on a team, that could be even scarier.

Speaking of teams, I don't mind Mikoto going solo if noone takes my police force bait, or you can just attach her to anyone whose team needs filling up, the way I thought it up the police academy doesn't care about placing, only if their new training methods work, so the credit can go to whatever school she would be attached to even if she were to win, they don't care.

I actually wanted to touch on how the teams are going to work, so thanks for bringing it up directly, @Forsythe.

So, for any teams that don't have a full four, extra characters will be created either by me, or by the people of whose team they will need to be on to take space. These characters don't need to be fleshed out or anything it comes to that, just a name, appearance, weapon and semblance. Now, because of how the arena works, most of the extra characters will only be used during the four V four and the two V two, but you'll be free to do whatever you want with them.

Ooh, a combat-oriented RWBY RP? This looks like a lot of fun. Would you all be amenable to my presence?

Well, depending on how many players we -actually- gather out of all that interest, we could skip the 4v4 rounds if there's not enough, at which point 2 per team would be enough =) And as far as we know, we can only be sure that Beacon uses teams of 4. the other schools might not, and we know that Sun at the very least represents different country than hsi birthplace, so hosting might be possible.

@Forsytheyeah, it would be possible to skip the first bracket altogether, but I'm waiting out and seeing how things go before I make anything definite.

Making a character sheet tonight. Are element-related semblances such as air manipulation, similar to aang from Last Airbender, ok?

@Bornlucky You....you eat dust.....

Request to be on his team and never having to fight him...ever...

Eats and drinks the stuff ;D
And that works with me, they're in the same year so it would work. And we have to wait and see is that last part happens >:D

<Snipped quote by Kouki>

Isn't that something that can be done without a semblance anyway, according to World of Remnant?

Like what Kouki says it has to be infused to the person's body to be used without a type of Semblance like Kallum's which can use dust in its base form without any weapon or preparation.

@greywolf375Yes, but that's where things get a little tricky. If it's stuff like air, that isn't really a problem, but with like fire, or water especially, there are a couple things I want to avoid. Having air manipulation is pretty powerful. Air is everywhere, and you can do a lot with it. But, with water, I would ask that you don't pull a Hama and start pulling water from the very air or start controlling bodies. That's a no go.

Will be getting profile up within a day or so.

Technically, she didn't pull it out of the air. The atmosphere is made of water and oxygen, she just removed the water.

I think an easy fix might be to just say you can't effect people directly, the main reason Jimmy's semblance doesn't work on people is because their aura nullifies his.

Our Semblances are our aura manifested and when we move things with it, we're putting a little bit of ourselves in it. Jimmy's aura can't go into something protected by another aura so his Semblance doesn't work on people. Like wise, it means he can't use it on a weapon if aura is running through it.

@greywolf375 Your Semblance could just work like mine in that principal. Meaning that while you could potentially manipulate a person, said person can shrug it off with will power.

That, or we could say you have to be able to see whatever you're manipulating so anything out of sight is out of range.

Just an idea....

Uh the atmosphere is mostly nitrogen, not oxygen and water

Actually, earth's atmosphere is 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen, 0.9% argon, and 0.03% carbon dioxide.

It also contains water vapor

I know it's not MOSTLY water but it's still made up of that element along with several other gases. But since I was talking about water, I didn't see the point in mentioning Nitrogen

Bu thanks for correcting me, the smaller the spread of misinformation the better.

@Kouki Yeah, essentially. The semblance is air manipulation, but I don't intend to rip out a person's lungs with it out or anything. I have their weapon and fighting style designed around it.

I see what you did there....

But no, it will be similar to Aang, who I referenced in the post I made a little ago, but also different. Or, I guess you could say, I'm using it differently in some ways.
