Age: 17 Species: Human infected with Baoh parasite Gender: Male Abilities: Ikuro in his regular form has the strength and speed required to casually dodge bullets and lift a motorbike to head height in the time said bullets take to travel a few inches. He is also capable of less potent forms of most of Baoh's special attacks, such as the "Baoh Melting Acid Palm". When the Boah parasite takes over Ikuro's already superhuman stats are increased drastically; he loses his sense of sight, but gains a dramatically enhanced sense of smell (including the ability to smell ill intent) and a psychic-esque sense of touch which allows him to map his surroundings more accurately than human sight. Baoh also has intensive regenerative abilities; he can recover from any wound other than the destruction of his brain. If the recovery can be sped up in some way (such as re-attatching a limb rather than regrowing) then he can do so. Baoh's most notable moves are: -Baoh Melting Acid Palm - Baoh releases an extremely corrosive acid from his hands that can easily melt flesh, stone, or metal. -Baoh Shooting Stingers - Baoh hardens his hair to be like needles and fires off several as projectiles which burst into flames on contanct with heat sources like the human body. -Baoh Hardened Skin Sabers - Baoh creates a pair of incredibly sharp twin blades out of the hardened skin on his arms. These can be used as projectiles when detatched with Baoh's Saber Off technique. -Baoh Break Dark Thunder Phenomenon - Baoh generates 60 kilovolts of electricity across his body through the same process as an electric eel. This has enough ower to vaporise the flesh off of multiple human bodies at once, and can be used to power and influence electrical machinery. Coffey could hear the roar of the crowd all around him as one of the fighters in the ring was knocked onto the grass. Many of the people around him had just made a lot of many, and many had last it too; the world martial arts tournament did not officially allow bets, but the fact of the matter was that they were an innescapable element of the culture around the tournament. Coffey had never bet on the tournament before but today was his day.
While Coffey wasn't a betting man, he had been watching these tournaments since he was a child; he was sure he knew who was going to win the upcoming finals. The semi-final match now over, he darted out of his seat to the are beside the bathrooms, where bets were often unofficially made. It would have been more profitable to win a bet placed at the beginning but that was would be a blind choice; now everyone had seen these fighters in two rounds already the odds on any bet had lowered considerably. They were still worth making of course, this was the world tournament after all: the olympics of fighting.
On the way to the bathrooms Coffey's vision began to blur; in a matter of seconds his perception of what was around him was distorted beyond decifering, and in a flash of light his senses were restored, but he was not in the tournament stadium anymore. A young man with a sword on his back stood before him, and he himself stood in-line with a series of strangers, including one with green skin and one with a four-pointed head; no one seemed happy and the atmosphere was heavy. "Is this a bad time?" he asked as politely as he could.
Appearance:Coffey But without the earrings I guess...
Moves:
Automatic Defense: Automatic Defense is a contiuous spell that continues in the background as Coffey fights, the spell can only be active for a few seconds at a time and must cooldown for as long as it was active but while it is active, will automatically teleport Coffey out of the path of fast moving objects that approach him. This spell is necessary for him to fight Ki users who are often faster than he can even react to.
Lightning Rain: Coffey summons a massive magical lightning bolt from above, far more powerful than any real lightning; this spell's large AoE is useful for hitting enemies whom he cannot track
Magic Beam: Coffey fires a low power blast of magic; doesn't have any major advantages other than being easy to use
Conjury: Coffey can conjure simple objects (like clothes) out of nothing
Personality: Coffey is friendly and curtious to a fault; he is not particularly selfless or generous but I'll be damned if he isn't polite. He's kind in word, spirit, and demenour at almost all times, even when anger or aggression is thrown his way. Coffey is however, not particularly heroic, his kindness is entirely genuine but it does not go beyond civility; he has no intentions of sharing when he doesn't have to, and will not lay his neck on the line for others without something in return.
Coffey's late great grandfather had been a great magical craftsman who had many times been called apon by Korin and even Kami (though he had never seen Kami in the flesh) and was actually the very man who created the Power Pole, among other instruments of grandeur. He was a notorious recluse, however, and his name was largely swept under the rug of time with many forgetting his involvement in the creation of these items.
Born just outside of East City, Coffey had an interest in magic from a young age. He had been inspired by his great grandfather's work; he learned the basics of magic from old books that his family had inherited from his great grandfather (many of which he had written). Of course, magic isn't a widely known art, and so he was sheltered from most of society for a large part of his life, later moving to Papaya island where he was even more excluded from society.
In hindsight, moving to Papaya island wasn't the greatest move to get away from society as the World Martial Arts Tournament took place there every 3 years. While his parents would often attempt to stop Coffey from seeing or even knowing about the tournament, Coffey would always find a way to sneak away from his studies and watch the tournament through the wire fences around the venue.
Seeing the intense action of the tournaments held at Papaya Island (both the Budokai Tenkaichi and smaller tournaments held in-between) got him interested in combat, and he began to focus his studies on developing magic that would be valuable in fights, especially magic designed to counter the advantages of superhuman physical bodies like those of tournament finalists.
