@Mcmolly We're going to do a mini sparring tournament in-roleplay leading into the story jumpstarting, but Russ needs a new weapon. We can do a short post of her prototyping something or just gloss it over in-roleplay up to you.
@Phantomlink959 I've got no issues with having her just show up with it to get things rolling. May not be able to do much tonight, have classes starting this week, but I'll be free.
I misspoke earlier. glossing over i meant she showed up and someone mentioned she had no weapon to use. Preferable to have it documented, there's one more post on CLRT's end before we can jump to it so that gives us time to work.
@Mcmolly You should probably get Russ' new weapon unto the weapon template so I can edit it into her sheet. Oh, and my brother who has agreed to join and fill the hole in LBRC is in the doc if you want to introduce yourself.
In preparation for the upcoming sparring tournament (which i swear to god is leading into the actual plot) we've put together some rules for how combat will be handled in the future.
Each fight will be taken in turns. First to move is decided using the Speed stat of the character; please note that a more experienced character will naturally be faster, even both character have the same score. This is because the scores are based upon their age and experience. For reference, Character A has 2 years experience over Character B. A has speed 2, while B has speed 3. They move simultaneously. Character C has 4 years experience over Character B. Character C has speed 1, Character B has speed 3. They move simultaneously. Character B has 2 years experience over Character E. Character B has speed 3, Character E has speed 3. Character B moves first. Each turn will constitute of one movement/attacking action taking up to 3 seconds to complete, and one speech action taking up to 5 seconds. Speeches can run over the course of multiple turns, but must be agreed upon by all fighters. Anyone can interrupt a longer speech when it is their turn.
These rules are to make sure that fights against people are actually fair, everyone gets a go, and we don’t end up with long paragraphs dictating one person actions for the entire fight while everyone else just kind of stands around watching them.
@mcmolly@madninja324@pyromaniacwolf For future quick reference these can also be found in the characters tab beneath the activity board and shop list.
@mcmolly@madninja324@pyromaniacwolf We've got a roster decided for sparring matches, posting it here so people can start working on their matchups so they're ready when that round arrives.
Ciardha vs Cinnamon Lan vs Viola Hadrian vs Leon - Footnote on end of Lan vs Viola fight Cereza vs Rima Tsuki vs Maple - Footnote on end of Cereza vs Rima fight Argent vs Berry Kalte vs Hal - Footnote on end of Argent vs Berry fight Rost vs Lila Russ vs Rufus Vanilla vs Tamn - Footnote on end of Russ vs Rufus fight Basil vs Asche Honey vs Cinis - Footnote on end of Basil vs Asche fight
Footnotes are fights that will not be typed out to preserve time, as they do not include characters that are important to the story. Footnote fights will have the winner announced, then the next match announced. Matches are being shared so you can start working on them immediately, rather than having to wait until they are announced in RP.
You'll probably notice there are names of characters whose players we've lost. In order to avoid them falling into a plot black hole we grouped the four of them into a team, THCL read Thistle. They'll never actually show up (for obvious reasons) but we just wanted them accounted for.
Ciardha and Cinnamon fight has been posted as an example, and to lead into the first player fight. Don't let that stop you from writing your own fight just yet though; we'll be posting them in order, but you can start writing them immediately if you want. :)
@Phantomlink959 Can't remember if you also control Bittersweet, but if so I'm free tonight. Tomorrow I'll be gone for a bit, especially in the evening, but the night later on should be free as well. Then of course the weekend if all else fails.
I work a ten hour shift tomorrow, and a nine hour shift on Sunday my time (UTC+10), so I won't be available until Monday AEST/Sunday night your time. However, I can work on it this afternoon/tonight, if you wanted to get started?
