Plot
It's that time again, for the hero and the princess to be reborn in order to stop the evil that corrupts the land. Every few generations, the goddesses use their power to recreate, reincarnate if you will, the hero and the princess to keep their land safe. But, they have had enough. This will be it. If it was canon, it would be the last place in the timeline. The goddesses are pouring extra power into these reincarnations, making them stronger than any of the previous ones. They are also bringing a few extras back to help. Unfortunately, due to this, they cannot control what the reincarnations look or act like now, because of the power they spent making them stronger. Even they don't know what they will turn out like.
In order to make sure the hero and their companions stay on track, the goddesses need to give them a helper, like the previous hero had. A few cycles ago, the spirit Fi was finally freed from the Master Sword, in her place, a new being was chosen. This being, would make the perfect companion. Satisfied that these new reincarnations would be able to not only save the world one day, but end the cycles once and for all, they left the place once again to rest.
Skip ahead a few years until the reincarnations are old enough to do their job, and they are needed. It's a big event in Hyrule. A huge festival is taking place in Castle Town to celebrate the anniversary of the kingdom's founding. People of all races are there to celebrate. There's fun and games, dancing, laughing, booze, everything a good festival needs. But there are a few who just can't seem to enjoy it as much as the others. Something is calling to them, tugging at the back of their minds, trying to guide them toward the old Temple of Time.

Rules:
1. I am the GM, my word is law. To a certain extent. I'll be the first to admit that I can be a bit of a control freak. If I'm doing something that you don't think I should be, or you think I'm sending the plot in a direction it shouldn't go, or anything really. Feel free to call me out, let me know I'm getting too controlling, give suggestions for where the plot should go instead. I may have made the baseline, but this is our story.
2. No godmodding, powerplay, etc. Every person who joins this will have spent time and effort into creating a wonderful character. Don't be a dick and try to control any other character than your own. Also don't be trying to get out of every epic battle without injury. In real life, if you go into a fight against a bladed weapon, the chances of you getting cut are extremely high. This isn't real life of course, but I'm a martial artist, I like a hint of realism in my fights.
3. Read the rules. If you don't read the rules, I'll know, and I won't let you in the RP. Most of it is just the usually rule stuff, but I'm a bit pickier than most. So make sure you understand everything before asking to join. Also, to make sure you did read them, when you go to reserve a character spot, tell me your favorite Zelda game. Mine is Spirit Tracks.
4. Be nice and respectful to your fellow RPers. People fight, I get that, trust me I do. But the OOC is supposed to be a friendly place to chat and chill out between posts. I've gotten a lot of advice and support from people in various OOCs. I've also gotten a lot of hate. Opinions differ, but they're somebody's personal choice. If you don't agree with it, it's okay, but don't go hating on what another person likes. If you don't understand someone's opinion, just ask, most people won't get angry if you do.
5. Be active! This is probably the most important rule on here. Because lack of activity kills an RP. In a perfect world I'd be asking for a post a day, but that just isn't going to happen. So instead I'll set it as once a week. If you can't post once a week, then you need to learn how to manage your time better. I understand if you're going on vacation, or studying for finals, or whatever. But notify beforehand please. Also, even if you can't post on a given day, feel free to chat in the OOC with us.
6. Be ready for swearing. I'm an adult, I can swear if I want to. You can swear if you want to. There will be swearing in this, we're RPing characters in a time of war, it happens. I don't want you swearing every other word, but a little bit is allowed. If you aren't comfortable with swearing yourself, that's fine, just be ready for other people to do it.
7. No one-liners. Seriously, if you want those stupid things, go to the free section. I would like at least two decent sized paragraphs per post. My personal minimum for myself is three, and I usually post a lot more than that. I'm not expect you to write huge posts every time, but give everybody something to work with.
Roles:
There are a finite number of roles is the RP. After they're filled, I won't be accepting more. I don't want a huge group of people who are all going to drop out. I want a small, more closely knit group. I am going to have some set things for each role, but you will still be able to create the character more or less how you want it. As I said in the story, these reincarnations are totally different than the previous ones. So if you reserve the hero role, you can have a female hero. You do have to reserve these roles, and I've giving you only a couple of days to get in your character sheet. After a few days, you lose your reserve slot. Also keep in mind, that reserving a slot doesn't automatically mean you get it. Your character sheet still has to be accepted.
Hero: The hero of our story. Bearer of the Triforce of Courage. Wields Master Sword. Reserved by Zurnt.
Royal Blood: The prince/princess of the royal family. Bearer of the Triforce of Wisdom. Wields light based magic. Taken by IceHeart
Sword Spirit: The Spirit sealed inside the Master Sword. Has knowledge beyond their years. Wields energy based magic. Taken by Airbender
Musician: A musician with the power to open the way to the sealed temples. Capable of wielding one special instrument of your choice. (Ocarina of Time, Spirit Flute, Goddess Harp, Wind Waker.) Taken by EleventhFret.
Guide: Someone who is intimately familiar with the land of Hyrule. Wields some sort of ranged weapon. Taken by Lauder.
Sage: The reincarnation of the seven sages. Carries with them the seven medallions. Has the right to be slightly OP. Taken by rawkhawk64.
Now that we have those out of the way, here's your character sheet. Feel free to leave it simple, or pretty it up however you want.
And that's it! If you have any questions about anything, feel free to let me know. And don't forget to have fun!
