I need a seconded opinion on this 'cause I can't decide. I don't have anything super detailed thought out yet but the two concepts I'm torn between are somebody from the future coming back in time to be a hero (kinda like a slightly more humble booster gold) or an extraterrestrial stuck on earth.

I'm kinda thinking about sorta mixing the ideas now. I.e. Making him so far from the future that the human race had evolved to be distinct from the modern day human. That or a stranded alien from the future who can't get home because it hasn't been created yet.

Powers: Having taken part in once thought to be long forgotten rituals and training. Sho has gained the ability to shapeshift himself in numerous ways. He can stretch limbs or his body, change his face to appear as someone else, or other countless feats.
Abilities/Skills: On top of his shape shifting abilities, Sho has years of training in what is true ninjitsu combat. Able to fight and more importantly move both silently and effectively. Along with that Sho is quite skilled in lock picking.
Equipment: Sho keeps in his gear throwing knives but most notably his katana. Given to him by his elders its a blade forged eons ago, and is still as sharp as it ever was.
Weakness: Sho's shape shifting ability is more mythical by nature than something genetic. So Sho needs some focus to be able to use his powers. If he gets dizzied, or put into a state of mental haziness. His powers won't work and can even malfunction on him. Leaving him very vulnerable if his mentally drained or strained enough.

Personality: Sho is a quiet, but friendly soul. He is prideful in his training and abilities and doesn't like having it questioned. Given his background Sho isn't as familiar as he should be with modern tech and pop culture.
History: Sho's parents were both considered Japanese royalty, wealthy, and the class of the city of Tokyo. The both of them in secret were funneling money through the Yakuza. Though they had a classy demeanor on the outside, the pair were ruthless when it came to their business. Over the years they had certainly gained their enemies. Even as the parents had a child in Sho, their enemies still ruthlessly waited for a chance to get at them. It all finally came to a head on a boat out in the Pacific Ocean. The scene was violent, blood spilled everywhere, and the boat was burned to hide the evidence of Mr and Mrs Hayashi's death. However little baby Sho was also on the boat, having been spared a murder but left to burn and sink. If it wasn't for an intervention by a mysterious group of people Sho would've died.

The group of people came to the boat seeing it burn from a distance, only planning to see what they could steal from it when they came across Sho. They took the baby from his burning soon to be grave. Returning him to their home. A relatively small island which is home of a clan of men and women. Founded in ancient times as a means to dethrone the filthy empires they saw as plaguing Japan. Generations have passed, but the island's residents still hold the traditions and training in the art of the ninja.

Sho grew up unaware of his real parents and their lives. As far as he was concerned he was just as important as anyone else on the island. He trained and learned with the other young kids on the island. But unlike them, Sho had real genuine skills he was able to show in his training. Impressing his elders Sho by the time he was a teen earned the right to be a part of a ritual that was both dangerous and life changing. The process was long, painful, and by the end of the fifth day draining. However Sho was able to achieve a new level of control of his body. Allowing him to shape shift it at will. When he grew to proper age Sho left the island and returned to Tokyo. When he saw the crime and corruptions going through the city. Sho dawned his gear and began cleaning up the city as only he could. He never killed, but his presence became threatening enough. Soon the media dubbed him Naitoshadou but his actual being is still not believed by all. As no photos of him have ever surfaced and the only people who have seen him were the criminals he left for the police.

Elektra stands at roughly 5'5" (1.67m) with a gorgeous pear shaped figure. Her hair is naturally curly and shimmering black yet she may straighten and hightlight it from time to time. Her eyes are a sparkling brown and her lips are pink and full. Though she may be a century old Elektra has the appearance of a young woman between the ages of eighteen and twenty-one.

The Genex serum she was injected with not only rejuvenated Elektra, but also gave her the following abilities.

Semi-Immortal

Elektra body and mind no longer age. She will no longer suffer the side effects of old age be they brittle bones, weakened senses, loss of memory, etc..

• Hallucination Inducement - This ability psychically causes the subject's imagination to overact, resulting in the foe feeling as though he is only experiencing that which is pleasurable to him instead of what's actually happening (called the Rose-Colored Glasses Effect) or the like. This ability has no need for Elektra's imagination; the victim's mind does all of the work (and has a compelling sense of the hallucination's reality).

Abilities/Skills

Her military background (see History) provides Elektra skill with automatic and semi-automatic weapons. She also a very accomplished pilot. Since the WWII she has broaden her knowledge and training with more modern weapons and aircraft.

Over the last century Elektra has become multilingual. Besides (American) English she can speak German, French and Japanese fluently. She can also read and write German and French.

Elektra is a skilled fencer. She is also an accomplished fighter through military training and some martial arts training.

Personality

Being a (former) villain, Elektra can be be rather selfish and antagonist towards do-gooders. She may need some convincing to risk her life (even if she's nearly immortal) for others or the greater good.

History

Elektra was born in 1924. Through her childhood and teens she was a thief and troublemaker. In 1941 at the age of 17 Elektra fell in love and married an American soldier. She was one of the few American women who joined the ATA soon after turning 18. Ignoring orders not to search for her husband, Elektra was shot down in enemy territory and was captured. During this time she first encountered the Nazi mad scientist Dr. Krüger. Through the daring and heroic actions of her husband and his fellow soldiers, they managed to escape and eventually find their way back to Allied territory. Due to physical injuries suffered during his capture, her husband returned home and Elektra followed after him.

After returning home Elektra quickly became pregnant with twins. Years past and her family fell on hard times. So, Elektra returned to her criminal ways by first committing armed robberies, and then branching out to bank robberies. Once her husband found out what she had been doing he left Elektra taking the kids with him. It wasn't long after that Elektra did her first of many prison sentences.

Fast forward to roughly twenty-five years ago, Elektra was placed in assisted living her family after succumbing to Alzheimers & Dementia. Unfortunately, no one at the time knew that the facility was ran by the war criminal Baron Kristian Kraus and the mad scientist Dr. Krüger. After discovering that Elektra was a resident Krüger eagerly made her his next test subject. The mad doctor had gotten a hold of Genex's super formula some time ago, and hoped to modify it so not only would it grant people super abilities but also make them immortal. Far beneath the old folks' home Krüger took Elektra and conducted his experiment.

The experiment was a success. Within a few hours of being injected with Dr. Krüger's new and improved Genex serum Elektra old and frail body regressed to a much, much younger age. Not only did it rejuvenate her body, but the serum also cured her of her Alzheimers and Dementia. Elektra was able to escape the mad doctor when a nurse accidently found her way into the secret laboratory and freed the newly vitalized woman from her bounds.

Over the next two and half decades Elektra made quite a few enemies out of would be superheroes. for it didn't take long for Elektra to return to her old criminal ways after her transformation, and with her new powers she became even more daring. She even committed some domestic terrorism. Kidnapping the Vice President and the Secretary of State, hijacking LAX, and blowing up the Washington Monument are Elektra's more well known crimes.

Recently, within the last year or so, Elektra has slowly had a change of heart. She doesn't talk about the events that made her rethink her life. Something has definitely happened to make Elektra want to reform, to no longer be one of the "bad guys". But, only time will tell if this long time criminal can become someone new...

To an outsider, Model-117 appears nearly indistinguishable from a baseline Human. Built from advanced bio-fibers and synthetic skin, Model-117's appearance, both inside and out, is capable of fooling nearly anyone into thinking he is truly Human, but this is not the case.

Standing at six feet in height and possessing a trim, athletic physique, Model-117's entire body is meticulously and artificially designed. Though his heart pumps blood and his lungs breathe oxygen, they, like the rest of his organs are comprised of a complex bio-fiber meant to mimic organic tissue, fulfilling natural functions in order to further disguise his biology. His bones, likewise, are built of high-strength, polymer-covered alloys, enhancing their durability and strength greatly. His muscles are comprised of a far more durable vat-grown colloid, granting Model-117 his enhanced strength and durability.

Though almost perfectly mimicking a human physiology, Model-117 can be distinguished by the coolness of his skin. His body temperature, in fact, is ten percent lower than what is considered 'normal,' a temperature fatal to Humans.

The rest of Model-117's aesthetic details mimic that of a Human's almost exactly. His hair is synthetic, mimicking the texture of Human hair while lacking the ability to grow unless specifically programmed to. His facial features are thin, sharp, and symmetrical with high, noticeable cheekbones, a smooth, thin jawline, svelte lips, and uncharacteristically bright blue eyes that hide advanced sensors.

Those unaware of Model-117's true nature become instinctively unsettled or uncomfortable in his presence, citing his appearance as being too "clean" or "uncanny" to be normal.

Superhero Outfit [+]

</Powers:>

• Electromagnetokinesis: Harrison's primary ability, he has been shown to be capable of directing electricity outwards as damaging, high-voltage electric blasts from his hands, as well as using his magnetic ability to bend or reshape metal to his will. Though the full extent of this power is unknown, Harrison appears capable of manipulating his own magnetic field for levitation, or even creating a temporary force-field around his person with said magnetic abilities. Harrison demonstrates a certain level of control over his electrical blasts, and can alter their intensity to his will, ranging from a mild shock to flesh-rending voltages. As a consequence, Harrison is incapable of sustaining a personal force-field while utilizing his other powers at the same time, due to the expend of energy.
• Advanced Intelligence: Due to his 'brain' functioning like a computer, Harrison has vast levels of intelligence and is capable of processing information at an astonishing speed.
• Computer Interfacing: Harrison is capable of interfacing with other machines directly through connective hardware, making him something of a sentient hard-drive, capable of storing ample amounts of data within his mind until such data is transferred.
• Superhuman Strength & Durability: Due to his android physiology, Harrison possesses about 5x the strength of the average person, allowing him to physically overpower a normal Human effortlessly, while also allowing him to face enhanced or super-powered opponents in hand-to-hand combat on a relatively even level. Likewise, Harrison's durability has been enhanced greatly, allowing him to withstand super-powered blows or impacts with little overall damage, as well as granting him a certain level of resistance from other impacts as well. Likewise, Harrison comes equipped with pain-inhibitors that he can activate or deactivate at will. These inhibitors will acknowledge damage, but suppress pain enough that what would normally be an excruciating injury would simply register as mild annoyance.

</Weaknesses:>

• Personal Power Source: Though Harrison runs independently and has no need to 'recharge', use of his electrical powers will drain on his personal power source, with the drain relative to the intensity of voltage used. Exertion of his powers can force Harrison to wait for a period of time before using them again, while overexertion can send him into an unconscious 'standby' mode to fully recharge his resources, where he will automatically activate once again.
• Paradoxical Questions: As his mind is effectively a computer, paradoxical questions can divert and disrupt Harrison's functions, ranging from simple distraction all the way to an involuntary shut-down (the equivalent of a computer Blue Screen of Death) until either such a question is answered or his memory is wiped of the event. Once a question has been used against him, Harrison is then immune to that specific question's effects.
• Electrical Attacks: Though utilizing electricity as a weapon, Harrison is nevertheless extremely susceptible to its effects, suffering severe damage should he be hit directly with an electric attack. A pinpoint strike has the capability to fry Harrison's internal systems, rendering him to a comatose state until he can be successfully repaired.

</Personality:>
Although nigh-perfectly resembling a Human physically, Harrison's emotional processors, while incredibly advanced, is nonetheless somewhat alien. True to his nature as an android, Harrison visually appears cold and indifferent, speaking in a controlled, formal diction while demonstrating a sober, stoic demeanor.

Infamous for his tenacity and perseverance, Harrison performs tasks with a borderline-obsessive amount of focus and dedication, belying his cool, methodical exterior. This tenaciousness is only matched by his strong desire for order. To Harrison, while the world is not starkly black-and-white, it stands at a focal point between order and chaos. Harrison is not motivated by heroics or compassion, but simply the need to sustain order and control. Those who seek to undermine that order must be violently punished to ensure history does not repeat itself.

Possessing a highly intuitive brain and database, Harrison can comprehend and mimic a wide range of emotions, granting him a certain level of autonomy and independence that almost all other machines lack. Capable of fully integrating into normal society, Harrison's mind is designed to document and learn from experiences, constantly adapting itself to achieve optimum effectiveness. Due to his programming as a combat unit, Harrison attempts to protect civilian lives if and when possible, but shows no mercy or restraint when dealing with enemies. Designed to not feel empathy or compassion in order to make him a more efficient warrior, Harrison can become frighteningly ferocious on the battlefield, mimicking the Human emotion of bloodthirst and savagery. Even in repose, Harrison is highly unnerving to deal with on a social level, as many are disarmed by his apathetic nature and willingness to perform brutal, violent acts in the name of the greater good.

Much of Harrison's history has been either encrypted or deleted by the U.S. Government, making attempts to study his background almost impossible unless one has strong connections within the Pentagon. As crime rates rose and the efficiency of superheroes was diminishing, the United States began secretly allocating funds to Area 51 for research and development into a new type of defense: Synthetics. Quickly, the researchers and engineers began designing prototypes for androids, testing various technologies for ways to improve them - make them indistinguishable from baseline Humans. After four years of extensive research and experimentation, Model-117 was completed. Though not the first of his kind, the unit possessed the most advanced cognitive ability, capable of operating on a wholly independent level. It resembled a Human both inside and out; could walk, talk, breathe, eat, sleep, copulate - all the while possessing superhuman physical attributes. Dr. [REDACTED], a scientific prodigy and head researcher of android development implanted Model-117 with latent electromagnetic abilities that came from an internal power source, programmed to activate only upon first contact with a super-powered individual.

Programmed with an encrypted directive to protect the United States at all cost, Model-117 was given a cover name before having his memory wiped and was released into the world as an unsuspecting sleeper agent, his directive subtly influencing his actions and motivations, urging him to seek out a team of superheroes in order to fulfill his directive.

In the meantime, Model-117, now named John Harrison began a one-man crusade against crime, using his enhanced physique to carve a swath through various gangs, drug peddlers, gun runners, and mercenaries with no motivation except the restoration of order. Soon contacted by the mysterious hero Crisis, Harrison was recruited to join the Argonauts, and eradicate crime from the country.

Not to come off as a jerk but completely writing off an entire subset of powers is kind of ignorant. I get that time control can be abused in a variety of ways, and that in many cases it tends to be overpowered; however that doesn't mean there isn't variations that are perfectly playable if not even underpowered. That said I would appreciate at least the opportunity to present the power before having it shot down.

Hey, does anybody have any power ideas? I have been drawing up completely blank and can't figure out any power sets that I like to go with my time traveler. I kinda wanna have his powers be the result of technology but I'm not one hundred percent on it.
