Hey @Catchphrase, I did notice some things in your CS, that left me wondering about a few things in regards to your character.

Why did he only choose to learn Illusion magic? Can he wield any other type of magic? If so, please list, and tell to what degree he can wield magic. Where did he study history and creatures, at the Mages Circle, or over time during his travels? Has he ever worked in other cities/kingdoms as a story-teller before being hired on by Remonnet? Why did he choose to be a story-teller? Did someone influence him in his younger years? Or did he form a habit when he was a child of telling tales? Did he also use to play tricks on kids his own age, or was this a newly formed habit when he went to the Mages Circle?

Also, where was he born? What kingdom? Who were his parents? How did his parents react to him being sent off to the Mages Circle? Did he have any siblings? What did his parents do for a living? What is his financial status now? Is he a poor man, looking to make quick coin? Or does he have access to finances in the Bank of Nyhem?

And, regarding his appearance. What is average height? What is average weight? Is he balding, or does he have a thick head of hair? What color are his eyes? His skin tone? What does his nose look like? What about his lips? Are they thin, or plump? What does his voice sound like? Deep, and husky? Thin, and squeaky? Is he a man easily noticed, or would most people not take note of him?

These are simple things to think about. I’m not asking that you include all of these in your background (though it would be nice if you did), but I believe it will help add more depth to your character.

I'll just gloss over what Cold and I were working on and say that we finished up what needed to be done in terms of the upcoming negotiations. I had gotten the information I needed out of it prior to the collaboration anyhow, so the actual fluff and dialogue associated is regretfully un-needed, but I will regret not having the dialogue to back it up.

@PhoenixWhite I know it is a shame. Unfortunately I think cold hands has dropped out of the RP so there isn't much we can do. At least you have got the important stuff sorted.

I wanted to point out that I have added a section in the Reference Sheet for Kingdom Cultural Information, I have added (with permission @AndrewCooper @TheDuncanMorgan) more information on the kingdoms that exist in Formaroth.

I'll probably do something at some point, although the Kingdom of Alenius has pretty much been burnt to the ground and remade- so the culture isn't so much 'culture' as it is 'remnants of the past nobility being cleansed away and being replaced by the meritorious society of the Blackwells'

Well include whatever you want, how the people dress (nobles, middle-class/merchants, peasants), what they eat (popular dishes), if they have any customs (festivals, beliefs, certain mannerisms {for example, if shaking someone's left hand instead of their right, is considered an insult}), any lore or legends (tales that the people would know, possibly tell their children to scare them into being good), you can even include the history as to why Alenius was burnt to the ground, and rebuilt.

Hm. I'll get on to doing that actually, the small things are what bring this stuff to life after all. I'll have to think of things though, since I focused more on character than I did on underlying culture- just my style of roleplaying hemming me in a bit when it comes to the extra details.

I'm a bit curious about Scassia and the Sypius plains.
I just read through the religion part and decided i should work on adding a few mentions of them into my IC posts.

If anyone needs a good tip or just someone to bounce an idea with i'm up for some PM's.
Having roleplayed almost every week, at times up to three times per week, for closing in on a decade i think i have some clues on the roleplaying and character building concepts :P

Anything you come up with will be greatly appreciated, as @TheDuncanMorgan and I are working on fleshing out the other kingdoms, I mainly come up with the legends, and TDM provides me with the other miscelleanous details, then I flesh things out. I can do the same for you, if you provide me with a rough sketch of what you want, but I'd be more happy to see what you come up with (:
