I have a question about the Syreen though. The description for the race implies that they can change their bodies. It sounds almost like a rite of passage to switch to a more personalized shell. My question is, how often can a Syreen change their bodies? I'm mostly wondering for flavour text (describing my character's appearance). I don't plan on my character switching bodies during the story itself (unless the story calls for it).

There's not really a time limit, I was just more saying that it would've been convenient. I can write your character in whatever happens. You might miss out on a couple of things IC, but it'll be fine.

Re: the Syreen, it's how they grow up physically and mature. As their minds develop, they can control more complex artificial bodies, meaning they change them as they 'outgrow' their current bodies. Obviously they have a lot more personal input into their appearance than other races would do, being as how their bodies are constructed, but most don't really change much once they reach 'adulthood' and find their niche in life.

I also sympathise completely, Incubus. Losing a pet is never easy, especially one that's been part of your life for a long time. Take your time.

Come on people, if you can't find the time to commit to this rp, at least be honest and tell us instead of just fading out without a word. I wouldn't even be mad if such were the case, I only really get mad if I'm ignored outright.

Sorry my CS took me way longer to post than I wanted. I originally wanted to RP as a female Syreen but I didn't feel invested enough into the character, so I decided to cook up a different char instead.

Hopefully the details are aligned with the RP. If anything needs adjusting, let me know :)

Adam looks perfectly fine to me, and I'm happy to approve him for inclusion in the game.
To explain how he's only just turned up, perhaps he could have arrived earlier than the others, but was ill, or otherwise delayed before meeting up with the rest of us; that way Erien could have been aware of him, but the others wouldn't have had a chanace to meet him yet. I can always retroactively edit my posts to have him mentioned by her. Alternatively, we can just pretend that he was there all along, considering we haven't done a lot yet and not that much time in game has passed, that would also be acceptable - he could've just been too shy to speak up, or everyone too busy to notice.

Feel free to jump right into the IC, we're actually at a very good point for you to do just that.

Retroactive editing should probably be a last resort. I'll figure out something plausible and try it get the post up before the end of this weekend (UTC -5).

For that I am sorry, I am also sorry that I seemed to disappear for a while with no reason, that was not my intention and I didn't want that to happen, but it did and I'm sorry. However, it seems the various factors are all returning to a normal state and so I can resume posting again, which brings me to this. I have not lost interest in this RP, not a single shred. So if you would have me back I could even get a post out today as part of my return to normal posting. But if you decide that I am no longer suited for this, I will understand and bow out graciously.

I am sorry guys. It's not that I don't want to commit but there have been to much at work affecting my life in a way I did not expect...I will sadly have to back out as I think it will continue to be like that for a while...Sorry to disappoint you all.

I wasn't particularly intending to kick anyone out, so much as making sure people were still here. if you still want to play, then by all means carry on and get posting. Losing people or kicking them out when they want to carry on would be counter-productive.

Regarding callsigns (I already spoke to Natsu about this in a PM, but this is for everyone's benefit), for ease and convenience, everyone will be 'Wylde Fyre [number]' with the number coming from your position on the active characters' list on page one of the OOC.

Nicknames - like Maverick, or Goose, to use a certain movie as an easy example - come about through being given by other members of your squadron, rather than chosen by yourself. Generally speaking, pilots who try and choose their own end up being subjected to scorn, and end up with a less flattering one than they probably would've received before.
As we haven't done much yet IC, I doubt anyone would've done much to earn a nickname yet, so we'll likely pick them up as we go. And it means we get to choose them for each other as well, which is more fun xD

As far as radio chatter goes, it doesn't need to be 100% accurate, from what I understand there's not a lot of standardisation anyway, and the most important thing to remember is that it's supposed to be brief, clear, and accurate. And that you end your transmissions with 'over' and begin them with who you want to talk to; such as 'Wylde Fyre one, this is Control' or so on.
There are various lists of terminology and brevity codes around the internet, feel free to find one and share it if you like any of you; at least then we'll all be using the same one.
