"Welcome teens. Congratulations on surviving step one. You have all been deemed stable enough to move onto step two. As you know you volunteered to be my guinea pigs for my experiment. The government has given me funding to make you into elite super soldiers. If you follow orders you will be rewarded. If you don't you will be punished. There will be a schedule and you will receive at least a high school diploma. Any questions?" Vlad asked as he looked around.

"That's it?" Oliver was confused. "We're the most dangerous juvenile criminals in the states. Why make us super soldiers? Isn't that counter intuitive? Why not just contract a whole bunch of random, not criminal kids?" He laughed heartily. "I'm just saying, this is a logistical shitstorm."

Because we're expendable, Ivy thought when she heard what Oliver said. She only nodded in response to Vlad; seemed like an okay deal to her, she knew what she signed up for.
She was more concerned about Oliver saying they were the most dangerous juvenile criminals. The most. Did that mean her brother was dead? He would be about nineteen now; was he just too old? She supposed she wouldn't know either way.

"You are expandable." Vlad answered honestly. "No one cares if you disappear. Teenage criminals are a growing problem in the world. If I can make you into soldier then I can turn anyone into a super solider. Plus it isn't a big deal if you don't survive the process. This is an experiment. Not everyone that was selected survived. The loss of a few criminals is acceptable."

David looked at the man and was getting mad. A few of the guards behind him saw the ropes fall, but David was already free as he had the thin bladed wire around their neck and the old man was in front of him as he looked at him with his cold black eyes. "i don't know why you keep talking to us like if we can't fight or...just weak" he said with a deep tone that was very creepy as a few more guards walked forward but David stopped them as he pulled more on the wire around the other guards neck to make them stay back. "so, if you don't want a few fresh meat suit killed you tell me, why? why, did you kill my family and spare me" he said wanting to know more than just wanting to change the world.

Vlad signaled the guards to hold their positions. There were at least a dozen stun guns on the boy causing a scene. He smiled. Do this was another one who hadn't volunteered. "I didn't kill anyone. I have never met your family. But if the government chose to kill them it was for one of two reasons. Either they had skills that they refused to use for the government or they had information that they refused to give the government. I would assume that you were spared because of your age or because the government wanted you in my program. Although I hadn't set the premiers for my subjects at that time. Whatever the reason you are nowilling mine just like the rest."

Neva snickered at Vlad, he was the perfect picture of an edgy villain in a fiction story. She hadn't really cared about the situation at hand, yeah they were going to be weapons, but hey they were fed. She looked at the boy who had become melodramatic after being a danger to the quiet girl, he was holding one of the guards by the neck.

David looked still wire on the necks but he let go as the feel of not wanting pain again made him stop. He got a grip of himself and head back to his chair he looked at the girl that spoke to him "yeah, your right. I got a few more things better to do" he said closing his eyes and listen to the talking of that old fuck.

Ivy really hoped that being in this program (or whatever it was) would mellow David out a little bit. After all, being in prison for a year was enough to make Ivy enthusiastically volunteer for this, for better or for worse. She was thankful for Neva, it was nice being around someone reasonable.
She stood up and looked at Vlad. She had so many questions... where were they? What did he really want with them? Why did they make it if there were so many others that tried? Was her brother one of them? But she had a feeling none of these questions would be answered right now. She glanced down at the table, and then looked up to meet Vlad's gaze again.
"Can we eat now?" She asked.

Ivy sighed, making a plate of penne and roast beef. No point in fighting battles you can't win. She wondered if Roxy would sit down with them, she certainly seemed to know something that they didn't.

Oliver made himself a plate of pizza. Oddly enough, it tasted amazing, though he suspected that anything would have tasted great after two years of prison food. He decided to make acquaintance with Neva. Anyone who had enough guts to tell a guy who murdered his family deserved small talk at the very least.

"Neva, eh?" He flashed a winning, goofy smile. "Interesting name, I'm Oliver, if you didn't catch my rant earlier."

David heard the man leave and relaxed seeing food made him wonder what show he eat. He got up and looked at the food wondering if they had any veggies or chicken. He saw beef and sniffed it a bit, placing his sense on a apple he smiled grabbing the little fruit.

He walked back to his chair with a arm full of fruits and had a chicken breast in his mouth. He was smiling a bit from what he was earlier doing. Looking at the girl he at first freaked out. He smiled a real smile instead of a little one with a nod. He haven't eaten since a few days ago after the "execution". all on the news of him saying to killed his family. He was relieve to not be dead, but again he wished his family wouldn't have broke a contract that lead to them being marked enemy of the nation.

Ivy started eating, trying not to wolf it down and make a mess. She looked over at David and smiled back at him. "So. What landed you here?" she asked simply. Dangerous or not, she was curious and she knew they'd all be stuck together for a long time.

Neva blushed, despite her naturally cold and walled off nature, this boy was generally cute and that smile was just infectious. She smiled back and said "Thanks, I'm a fan of it." she followed up with "So, what did you do? Murder? Robbery? Both?" she pulled a piece of pizza off the big plate and bit into it.

"Smuggling, actually." He paused, "Well, Smuggling and 'murder'". He put air-quotes around "murder". "I could go on for days about how I was framed, but the court says I'm guilty, so I must be guilty." He smiled sadly. He had been happy to take the fall for The Serpent's at the time, but his short time in prison had wisened him. Nothing was worth his freedom. He turned to Neva and smiled once more. "Enough about me, what'd you do?"

I was all over news. i killed my family and got a golden ticket to the factory" speaking with humor still drink a bit of juice from a orange he just bit into it. He was hungry like every one. "what about you. oh, i'm david by the way. sorry for my acts of bloody murder. i just was still angry" he said referring to watching his sister die after a bad deal with the government. A loss tie they called her. After he killed his parents and entire pack. He asked the damn government to spare her if he did the deed. instead it made him a public killer and now all to the world he was dead.

Neva took a bite of the slice of pizza she just took, and in between chewing she spoke. "Prostitution and child pornography." she shrugged "Of myself. I was the criminal and victim of my own case, it was kind of laughable really." She swallowed and asked "So what kind of stuff did you smuggle? Drugs? People?"

Oliver blinked in surprise.

"I can safely say that that wasn't the answer I was expecting." He cleared his throat. "Weapons, mostly. I did do a bit of drug smuggling, but it just didn't pay as well as you'd think." He grabbed his fourth slices a pizza, it was a wonder he wasn't yet obese, considering he ate like this all the time. "So, why'd you do it? I mean, I did the smuggling for the money and the 'murder' to take the rap for a 'friend'" He could barely contain his distaste when he said "friend". "I don't imagine prostitution could be that valuable."
