Just wanted to put this here before I have to go. In stealing Gowi and Bounce’s formatting, I present to you the synopsis for Miles’ upcoming first arc. I should also take this moment to mention that I’ve aged Miles up a year, so he’s turning fifteen now instead of fourteen.

M I L E S M O R A L E S : S P I D E R – M A N
I N T H E D E E P E N D

Following the battle with his uncle, Miles spends his days trying to juggle his normal life with his newfound responsibility as Spider-Man. After interrupting a drug trade, he bites off more than he can chew when he’s thrusted into the middle of a shadow war for the boroughs of Brooklyn and Dakota.

  • It goes without saying that this is open to anyone who wants to get involved. If I do this right, there’ll be quite a few opportunities to bring your characters into the fray.

  • As with many of my arcs for these games, this is inspired in part by a song, that being “Deep End” by Ruelle. I’m also taking inspiration from Miles’ first run in Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man, but I think that goes without saying.

In terms of the JLA roster, I think Zatanna would be a nice addition. It really could do with a magic user.

I think I'd opt for a mystery man type (Batman, Moon Knight, etc.) since Sloth is making Iron Man JLA.

In case we miss it, this is my opinion since the League lacks a detective/investigator type at the moment.

Someone like Zatanna could work. It would address the gender issue and give the League a magic user that it currently doesn't have. Plus I think Wraith's Batman has some form of relationship with Zatanna, so her being a member of the League could cause a nice tension between the two of them.

Either way, I don't want the League to be so OP that characters are redundant.

I like that idea. I know Lex would want people with all sorts of abilities and a magic user would be useful. If this is a vote sign me up for that team member.

*EDIT
By the way does anyone else think it would be better to not have Iron Man in the JLA? It already has a genius level guy wearing suits of armor with loaded out weapons in Lex Luthor. Having Lex and Tony seems somehow redundant to me. Just my opinion, think he'd be a better fit for the future Superman rival team. It'd be cool to have a fight to see who builds the better super suit between the two.

Bear in mind I'm planning to eventually have Superman set up a rival team and that will require heavy hitters of its own. So we can't place them all on the Justice League and leave that short-handed.

@Vandy Zatanna it is then.

But on the Lex point, I didn't see Lex himself getting involved in the field. I think it would be good to have Lex "in charge" but not actually part of the team for the time being. I know we've discussed some plans for Clark/Lex down the line, I think his unveiling the battle armour would be way, way cooler at some point later in the game. That way he wouldn't be a Stark clone and it would lend the moment some real weight. You know? "Oh, shit. Lex broke the battle-suit out."

Ultimately, if Sloth finishes his CS its up to him where Iron Man fits in. Thematically, it fits that Tony would be Supes "Lex" for his rival team but again this is about RPing not drawing lines in the sand.

Hmmm, yeah okay. That could work. I still want him to fight with the League at some point but I can hold off on the battle armor. Also I wasn't saying that Sloth's Iron Man can't or shouldn't be in the JLA, just that to me it would make more sense for him not to be. I obviously can't make that decision.

No, you work for Lex Luthor now. You don't get to make your own decisions. *Hides seriousness under fake laugh*

@Vandy Don't worry, there'll definitely be cause for Lex to break the battlesuit out. It might be a little down the line but it'll be epic enough that it will be worth the wait, I promise.

@Morden Man I'll have him obsessively working out and training in martial arts until then. Oh by the way, I might have missed this earlier, but what is the status of the JLA HQ. Do we have a Watchtower or are we just using some LexCorp facility in Metropolis?

I vote for some type of base in Metropolis. Watchtower is way too soon, and I'd like Bruce/Tony/Supes/etc build that following the JLA vs Superman bit.

@Vandy I was thinking something like the Sentry's tower atop of the Stark Industries building - except atop the LexCorp building. Still referred to as the Watchtower (despite not being in Space) though.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. Maybe have a Justice Tower or something next to the main LexCorp building. LexTower?

How about Lex making a statement by renovating an idyllic depot/museum?

I got a question before I finalize my application. I noticed before you stated how this was a One universe thing, not Ultimate or something along those lines. How do I avoid that?

Also in terms of Supporting Cast, if there is a character I think would be in mine's supporting cast, should I ask them before putting them in? Even if all I say is they would be friends/enemies?

Eh, I honestly think he'd rather build something himself. Kind as a "this is mine" type of thing. That just seems very arrogant and... Lex-y.

That could work too. Maybe as a separate building though so he can keep the more nosy members of the League from snooping around too much. Or just to keep his two jobs separate.

@FantasyChic Whatever changes you make to your character have to be explainable by their having shared a universe with their DC or Marvel counterparts. So you can't completely reinvent the character from the ground up - you have to work within that. That doesn't mean you can't make changes, they just have to be explainable ones. If it's a more obscure character I'd probably look more sympathetically on more changes than I would a big character that's pivotal to the game.

And yeah, it's a good idea to message someone if you have something in mind that mind involve interaction or something.

@Vandy I think a separate building is a bit much. Having the Watchtower atop the LexCorp building works fine. It's not like Lex is going to be selling guns out of his corporate headquarters. He's in charge of a multibillion dollar company that has buildings all around the world. There shouldn't be anything to "hide" in the LexCorp building.

So, Lex can build the Hall of Justice as a statement to the world, right? I mean it's been three years and Lex is a genius at gentrifying and construction.

Wait, I think I misunderstood you. I thought you meant he takes some old museum, renovates it and uses that as his base. I'm not sure I'm reading what you're saying right.
