Azir is a c'lok, meaning that he is like a squid in his general appearance which would throw off a normal person in the old human times. Azir stands at 5'9" with grayish pink skin, his skin bears scars of bullet wounds and sword slashed across both his chest and back. He holds a generally flat face with his yellow eyes a bit sunken back. His face has tentacle coming down the center with each having an average of a foot in length.
Abstract/Vignette:
"We have to go now, Azir. The law may not be able to catch up to us if we leave now!," a slender C,lok female said in a worried tone. Not wanting the local law to come and take them down after such a good stealing spree.
"But is everything on board the ship?" Azir asked in a more calm tone, not as worried as his female friend, who so happened to nod silently to him. With a laugh, the c'lok outlaw looked over to his friend and said, "Good, good. Let us move. To the ship!," Azir commanded, causing both of them to break into a sprint to get their ship which had their ill-gotten gains. That was before they heard law enforcement sirens screech nearby, slowly getting louder. The two entered a very crowded shopping plaza, before hearing law enforcement breaking into the plaza with their firearms in hand.
"I'll distract them, you get the ship ready!," Azir said, before pulling out his own gun from his coat with a slimy hand and fired it into the air, causing most to duck down to protect themselves. The C'lok took a man and turned them both to law enforcement who were going into position. You'd better go now before I shoot this man!," Azir yelled out, slowly backing up to follow where his teammate had went. He pointed the gun to the head of his hostage, Azir's facial tentacles moved around the man's head as an involuntary reflex that just happened. The law enforcement said nothing but made no attempts to go after Azir. The c'lok entered a back entrance that his ally had guided him to do then he shot the hostage, killing him and leaving his body. The two ran to their ship which was close to the plaza. As soon as the two got the ship Azir pulled his gun on the C'lok female and shot her in the leg, causing her to collapse to the ground.
"Sorry love, but I need all this money for myself!" Azir said, his tone filled with nothing but pure happiness. Then, the ship blew up in front of him, knocking him and his now ex-partner back a few feet. Azir's eyes widened as he got to his feet and looked at the remnants of the ship. He heard police giving chase and saved being a sore-loser for another time. Now, it was time to be a coward and run with what he had. Then, he would grieve for the lives that he would have taken and ruined.
Background: Lately, Azir had to develop the traits of being both a coward and a cheat so that he could avoid being killed at the worst of the times. He was a part of a small pirate band that was some of the deadliest in their field of work, most not surviving their wrath. However, slowly those forces have been dwindling as they had gotten a string of bad luck. Their first captain, a human, had been shot in the back by an officer of the law which led Azir to become the captain. Their second major casualty was the death of their navigator after a ship dock malfunction which immediately ejected the navigator into space. That then left three of the commanding officers to establish a peace for their crew. The C'lok became paranoid and refused to do any major attacks, not wanting anymore deaths on his hands.
That was before a mutiny happened on board the ship, sending at least half the crew to attempt to take the ship and fail. Azir had to take two people's lives on his own, his second-in-command was someone that he had trusted dearly had betrayed him. That was when Azir wanted one last good hull before calling it quits on the pirating business to do something productive with his life. He had the crew go on a plundering spree on a mining planet before he too betrayed the last of the officers, however, the ship experienced a heavy core failure that could not be maintained causing the ship to explode, killing the rest of the crew. The C'lok ran off, never to show up on another criminal list again.
Name: Дуака (Pronounced Du-a-ka) Can be spelled in english: Duaka Race: Previously Human, was turned into what is now called the Тень (based on their Russian Heritage) by the Ygar.
2 Years Ago, during to first contract of Дуака The night was gloomy. All day it had been lightly raining, enough to bring down the mood. Дуака looked at the piece of paper in his hands,Markius Hawthorne, his first contract. This was as about as easy of a contract there was for his type. A Тень. The ability to transform to complete shadow, not invisible, but as close to it as you can get. As Дуака waited calmly outside of liquor store that Mark frequently visited, no doubt to erase his currently pathetic life as a mob accountant, a ruckus brewed across the street. A woman screamed,
"I HATE YOU" "Now hon- "SHUT UP AND GET AWAY FROM ME, YOU-, she broke down crying. The man was trying to console her but she kept shrugging any touch away. Дуака now was focused more on the couple then his target strolling across the street towards the store. The man was now messing with the lady's clothing, lightly lifting and brushing. She slapped out as the tears continually fell from her face. The man just laughed and commented on how the other women he had slept with were still hotter, though she was a pretty one. Дуака shadowed and moved closer to the man. He grabbed her wrist and said something in audible to Дуака.
"NO, NEVER... I WONT... YOU CHEATING BASTARD" the woman screamed "The Hell I wont- The man was cut off by Дуака yanking his arm opposite of the girl. He yelled as his shoulder dislocated, Дуака grabbed the man and lifted him up by his shirt and looked at him in the eyes. The man was obviously terrified of the being that was in front of him. Of Дуака. Дуака let out two words,
"Never Again" The man shook his head vividly in agreement and sprint off as soon as he was let down to the ground. The woman looked shocked and frightened and happy all at the same time. Дуака nodded his head towards her and turned around to watch for his... Shit Дуака thought. He saw Mark leaving the store, and he walked over toward Mr. Hawthorne, off to collect his reward.
Дуака started off as part of an outer human colony called Moskve. The Humans found a planet that was empty, but could sustain life. It intrigued them enough to send a scientific research team down to the planet. They found no trace of anything hazardous so they gave 20,000 Russian colonists a chance to make it their home. The planet was smaller than the earth, almost twice as small, but had all the natural resources to sustain a colony. After around 200 years of sustained life on the planet, The Human Empire left the colony by it self, no support, no supplies, no nothing. It is around this time that Дуака was born.
Ten years passed from the birth of Дуака and the coming of the Ygar. The Ygar had been watching their trap carefully. They had cleared the planet in hopes to capture a colony. And that's what they got. A fresh almost 10 million strong Russian ecosystem. With no outside support, the colonists had no chance against the vastly superior Ygar. They slaughtered 6 million of the inhabitants, the rest they turned into test subjects, Дуака included.
The Ygar turned the colonists into experimental foot soldiers that were suppose to be almost immortal on the battlefield. This new race was called the Тень, which means "the shadow" in Russian. The soldier's main attribute is the ability to turn to complete shadow, caused by a refined dark matter that was pumped into them. The serum was suppose to remove cognitive thinking as well, making them bend to the will of the Ygar, but it was experimental. The brain washing didn't work for most of the colonists, sparking a civil war between the colonists. During this civil war between the un-brainwashed and the Ygar with their now loyal soldiers, Дуака escaped on a damaged Ygar scout ship. Дуака, still dazed from his early release from his serum injection chamber, set out with 5 other Тень towards a radio beacon deeper in space.
Дуака, 17 at the time, reached a Human colony with the 5 others and alerted the colony of the unknown aggressors. They notified the ship that it was the Ygar and they should land immediately. No one on the ship knew of the Ygar. When they got to the surface the humans were terrified at the sight of the shadow creatures, and Дуака notified them that they were Russian colonists. They stayed low in the capital of the planet for 5 years before Дуака was given his second mercenary contract, to head to a ship captained by a man named Erek. He quickly packed and set out, hoping for a chance to avenge his people from his creators.
To keep up with the increasing difficulty of each job, Aaron developed several pieces of equipment for various situations such as: -Magnetic Boots: Allows wearer to cling to metal surfaces and walk freely on them. Ideal for walking on ship hulls. -Plasma cutter: Arm mounted device that can cut through nearly all materials. Best used to get into walls that hide circuitry. Can also be an improvised melee weapon. -Skeleton Key: A program designed to analyze, access, and decrypt any and all digital coding whether it be alien or advanced. Not recommended unless you have the time or don’t know the coding.
Sitting alone in a booth at a cafe on a rather bustling space station, Glitch sipped his dark caffeinated drink while browsing on his datapad. He wasn’t doing anything criminal at the time, just surfing the net while he waited for his next contract to come down the line. Occasionally glancing at the other patrons to see if anyone was watching him or acting shady; could never be too careful in his line of work.
And right on cue two N.G.R. agents walked in surveying the area. Soon as they noticed Glitch one spoke into a communicator and they made their way over. As they did Glitch promptly began opening various programs while planning his escape route. The two men stood side by side at the edge of the booth, one spoke in a hushed tone. “Sir, we need you to come with us.” Glitch responded by setting his datapad down and chugging his coffee. “Sir, let’s not-” he was interrupted by Glitch holding his other hand out with his index finger out to say ‘one moment’.
With a satisfied ‘ah’ he set the empty cup down and grabbed his datapad. ”Let me guess. I’m wanted for questioning regarding some incident and you’d like me to come quietly and not cause a scene?” He said getting up from his seat. ”Lets just make this quick.”
Seeing that he was complying, the two agents didn’t restrain him as they began to walk out of the cafe. This was a mistake. As they neared the door Glitch grabbed the nearest table and pulled it down in front of the agents then ran for the door, hitting the lock controls on the way out. Of course they could just unlock it, unless someone tapped into the the stations main network and shut down power to the door controls. They would be needing a crowbar to get out now.
Sadly, those weren’t the only agents. Another group was waiting at the shuttle docks ready for extraction, and these guys were armed and ready. Quickly scanning for a com signal he picked up the N.G.R. frequency in time to hear the trapped agents alerting their friends. “HE LOCKED US IN HERE! DON’T LET HIM ESCA-skksshhhhhhh.”
”Oops, looks like your call dropped.” Glitch said to himself as he blocked the signal. The problem here was the armed escorts knew he was loose now, they split up and began checking the area. He’d have to find a way to distract them just long enough for him to board one. He had an idea, but it would take some time.
Logging into the security feeds, he figured the only way they could have found him was the cameras catching him. Sure enough he found footage of him entering the cafe, clearly they had some sort of scanning program that alerted them when it picked up certain people. Clever, but now he was going to use that against them. Taking the footage he cut everything but him and pasted himself over another individual that was currently boarding shuttle 5.
Sending the faulty footage though the cameras it was instantly picked up and in seconds the agents were surrounding shuttle 5. As they closed in on nothing, Glitch slipped aboard shuttle 2 and took a seat. ”Time for us to take off.” Accessing the flight schedule he switched the departure time to that instant. The automated systems picked it up and quickly shut the doors and began take off. Once safely off that station Glitch closed all the things he was running on his datapad and sat back to enjoy the ride.
Hailing from the metropolis cities of Gaia, Aaron Floyd grew up in the streets with no family and few friends. Many in his situation turned to petty crime as a way of life and in that aspect Aaron was no different. However, while the others did shake downs and back alley muggings for money, Aaron took things in a more technical approach. ATM’s, stolen phones, if it ran on a computer or program, he could hack it.
As he got older, the jobs got bigger and bigger. The ATM’s became the banks themselves, and the stolen phones moved to encrypted servers. He adopted his alias after frequently hearing security personnel mistake his intrusions for simple ‘glitches’. This was also handy for a code name as these jobs would require full teams and divulging his real name wasn’t exactly wise in this line of business.
Though money was always welcome, Aaron preferred the score of information as its value was always recognized. Weapon specs, prototype tech, even confidential passwords, he would go for anything he could use or simply sell to the highest bidder.
