Personality: Jerus is a quick wit with a subtle serious side, often making light of situations no matter how grave they are and always will to lend a helping hand. The only time you see him be serious is when someone's life beside's his own is in immediate danger. Is also quite the chivalrous gentleman.

History: Jerus was born the son of a blacksmith in the city of Fletz in Tiberoa. Most of his youth is reminiscant of working in the forge, helping his father both make and repair armor, weapons and even house hold items. When he wasn't doing that, he went and helped his friends work in the fields, whether it be tilling, planting or harvesting, he'd do it all. This led to a very athletic young man. When he turned 18, he set out on his own, his father having taught him the basics of how to hold and use a sword and dagger in combination. In the words of his father, "Just a sword allows for slashes and thrusts that can be blocked by armor and just a dagger means you get too close to deliver those weakpoint striking blows. The two together are a perfect balance."

Keeping those words in mind, he's traveled ever since, unable to find a suitable place to become a blacksmith and, while he enjoyed helping with it, he wasn't meant to be a farmer. As he's traveled, he's grown more and more proficient with his chosen weapons, having been taught a little more by soldiers and guards on their down time.

Name: Marmalade "Mara" Pierce

Personality: Rebellious and loud. Mara is very stubborn when she makes up her mind and won't hesitate to steer things her way. She has a softer side that she rarely shows to anyone besides her brother, simply to protect herself.

History: Marmalade was born to the poor widow of a merchant within the town of Neet. Her mother had spent a single night with a merman and became pregnant with her. Due to her hair color, Marmalade's mother gave her the name she grew up hating and eventually started going by Mara. Her brother, much to her annoyance, still calls her by her real name.

Ever the doting parent, Marmalade and Kest got everything they ever wanted and kept her daughter away from prying eyes. You can't keep secrets forever, though. When Marmalade was seven, she asked to go out and play with Kest. Her mother didn't see anyone around and agreed. A little while later young girl came running into their home, crying, followed by a very angry brother. Marmalade told her mother that some children went by and pushed her, called her names. She asked why she was so different. This was when her mother told her and her son about her daughter's father.

Marmalade grew up defiant of her world and refused to submit to the scorn of others. She taught herself how to use a scythe as a weapon and caused more than her fair share of chaos. Kest did his best to keep her out of mischief, but never had any luck. More than once he had bailed her of trouble. When Marmalade came to the age of 15, her mother was murdered. With her final breaths, her mother told her children about a special stone she kept hidden away in a drawer. Before she could tell Marmalade what it was, she passed. She assumed the stone was what the murderers were after and left her home.

Staying on the road, they worked as mercenaries or on farms when they could. After several years, the pair found herself in Seles. A small town where no one knew about them.

Personality: Of the two siblings, Kest is considered far more calm than his sister. He is level headed, kind, and responsible. The only time anyone sees him anywhere near angry, is when he is protecting his sister. Despite this, he is very awkward in romantic situations.

History: Kest's father was killed in the streets of Neet before he had been born, leaving his mother to take care of him. He took to helping his mother around the house at a very young age. When Marmalade was born, he was unsure about having a sister, but he found himself loving her just as much as his mother.

As they got older, Kest became protective of his younger sibling. When she was bullied for being a half-mer, he was always there to fight or frighten whoever it was off. He wanted to get stronger to keep her and his mother safe, so he started taking the odd job around town.

After a couple years, Kest started working in the local weapons shop. He became particularly enamored with a strange form of dagger. He worked with them everyday, practicing as Marmalade did her scythe. Soon, they were both pretty damn good! Then came the murder.

Neither of them were prepared for their mother's death. It took a great toll on Marmalade, and when they retrieved the stone, he insisted she keep it with her. Not feeling safe, they said goodbye to Neet, setting their sights on lands unknown. They spent eight years traveling the vast world of Endiness, now they hope to find a place to settle down and have a real life.

Personality: Veragwen is beautiful, kind, brave, and polite. She loves to help people however she can even if it’s technically a huge inconvenience for her. She doesn’t particularly like combat, but isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty if required. She is a protector and will often put the safety of others before her own well-being. Vera is always determined, focused, and can on occasion be very stubborn, but she’s also a quick study and hard to dislike.

History: Vera was raised in the small town of Seles. As a child she was bright and full of energy. She quickly became well loved by the people and soon took up learning to be an apocathary, creating healing potions and items and herbs to treat injured or sick townspeople. She matured quickly as bandit attacks became more and more common. She took up the sword at an early age, and later adding a shield to her style when she was strong enough. Vera wasn’t about to stand by and let her little town be ransacked and her people hurt again and again.
Veragwen more or less appointed herself to something akin to Captain of the Seles Guard, even though such a group didn’t really exist, putting the wellbeing of Seles above all else. It’s the thought that counts, right?

Personality: Elayna is very caring, affectionate, and playful. She enjoys making jokes, even if they're the worst jokes ever conceived, and just generally making people happy. She also loves money, fashion, dancing, singning, and just about anything else girly.

History: Elayna's life has been fairly quiet in Basil. Due to her lovely voice, and an attractive, very shapely figure, becoming an all around entertainer. She travels the land performing and honing her craft at festivals or various other events. When she was 17, she was attacked by a large bear on the road and most likely would've died if not for a swordsman that just happened to be passing by. The man was a mercenary and wielded a greatsword. She offered to hire him to travel with her and train her to use a sword until she was able to defend herself against dangers, and has now become a pretty good swordsman herself. Even though she hasn't seen him in quite some time she still regards him as her hero.

Appearance: Faeri is a rustic skinned youth whose eyes are hued an oiled-bronze color. He stands at about five-foot seven and has a scrawny, albeit toned frame. As he turns his face to the side, one may noticed the avian, noble-like features to his face. His strong cheekbones, his slanted jaw, and straight-nose. Even his lips are rather full. He has long eye-lashes that turns his masculine face into a rather feminine conundrum and ravenous hair that masks a truly sterling color beneath the dye. He hides his body underneath desert-clothing, tribal robes, and oriental sashes. All of these are ragged of course.

Personality: Distrustful of most, Faeri tends to stray away from others if possible. His past has made it hard for him to even imagine himself having comrades, much less friends. He uses others to advance his own goals, and while those are typically his own survival, they can lead to trouble when enacted. Above anything else he values his own freedom and will do anything to maintain that and his peace-of-mind.

History: Kidnapped at the age of three, it was obvious that his life had been pre-determined. For most of his childhood he believed his last name was Ventori but as time passed, mistakes were made, and lies discovered; he learned that he was born to a band of wanderers. Upon learning that he had discovered the truth, the poor father that had kidnapped him had ushered a jade gem to him; revealing that the wanderers were a sadistic cult soon afterwards. He had been tasked to undermine them by the kingdom but in the process learned of Faeri's existence. Sort of unimportant at first, the old man continued to explain that his target was the child and he had to--according to untold reasons--crucify him. He, however, could not. His own heart weighing on him.

Eventually the old man and himself was cornered by rogues asking for the Faeri's head. When the old man refused, a battle ensued. The old man turned out to be quite the knight; though the odds were stacked horridly against him. He had to sacrifice himself in order to allow Faeri to escape. After that, Faeri traversed the wilds. Over time his heart hardened and he made it his goal to maintain his freedom, no matter what. With a memento--a one-of-a-kind green gem tied around his neck--he remembers the bold action his protector took.

Appearance: Richard is a man with a slightly muscular of average height. He has tanned skin with a smattering of freckles and hazel eyes accompany a round face along with curly brown hair.

For his first adventure, he wears leather shoes, a normal pair of dark brown cotton pants, and a white cotton shirt. The only defense he could bring with him on such short notice was a steel hatchet with a wide blade and a wooden handle.

Personality: Richard is more on the quiet side than most others. He's happy to give the standard "How are you? I'm fine, thanks for asking", but anything more is asking a lot of him.

He isn't completely disinterested in people, however. If anyone wanted to get his attention, all they would have to do was show him something unfamiliar and strange. He always loved seeing the kind of strange things that travellers brought through Seles. It was a welcome break from his everyday life

History: Born to Nathaniel Amos, a retired soldier, Richard Amos was raised by the single father on a wheat farm on the outskirts of Seles. He spent most of his life learning how to tend to work fields and tend to crops. Occassional trips to the town were the only form of socialising he bothered with. Every day brought the same work and the same rewards.

It didn't last. Late one night, after Richard had gone to bed for the night, a stranger arrived. He never told them his name or the name of his employer, but seemed to be familiar with Nathaniel. The stranger came with news that a certain someone had been found. Because of this someone, Nathaniel would be given a choice: return to their order or face death.

Nathaniel immediately chose death. To him, following the stranger's orders only meant suffering.

The stranger had not gone far when a gunshot woke Richard from his slumber to find the warm corpse of his father. A gun was in his hand, a bloody hole had appeared at the side of his head. Poor Richard was too distracted to realize that the doors had been blocked from the outside, and had only looked away from his father's body when the sharp smell of smoke filled the air. After frantically struggling with the door, he grabbed a nearby hatchet and managed to break down the door.

It was immediately after escaping that he noticed a lone figure heading through the fields, away from his burning home. Who were they?, he wondered. Were they the ones that blocked the doors? Did they try to kill me?!?

He didn't understand who blocked the doors, or why there were people trying to kill him. All he could think about was that someone wanted him dead. At the moment, he walks on towards Seles, hoping to find temporary shelter and answers to the many questions now forming in his head.

Personality: Armond is kind, compassionate, and understanding.

History: Armond is of noble blood, his family used to reside in Deningrad, that was until an incident occurred several months ago. Armond's father was in the habit of hiring unsavory mercenaries, along with collecting rare artifacts illegally. As time passed, Armond's father finally hired several mercenaries to guard his treasures, one such mercenary went by the name of Blitz. The man was extremely skilled with dual swords, along with being ruthless and unforgiving. One night, Blitz turned on his employer, slaying him and the others. He took a strange artifact he came across and burned down the manor, leaving evidence pointing to Armond as the culprit. Upon learning this treachery, Armond fled from Deningrad, traveling all the way to Bale, requesting sanctuary and to prove his innocence. Due to his family and Bale's king being friends, he was granted sanctuary within their walls. He has served as the king's second adviser for a month now.

Personality: Ruthless, murderous, unforgiving, hateful, manipulative, deceptive, and cruel.

History: Not much is known about Blitz, aside from being a traitorous mercenary in possession of a strange artifact that nobody seems to know anything about. He was last seen in Deningrad, hired as a mercenary by the noble house of Zeraltus, payed to keep guard over their most prized possessions. After time had passed, Blitz finally come across a very ancient looking artifact and decided to take it for himself, killing almost all of those within the manor during his escape. He intentionally left evidence of the family's heir, Armond Zeraltus III, as the one who committed the atrocity. During the fire that raged that night, Blitz made a quick and stealthy escape into the wild, he hasn't been seen since then.

During one of her journeys between towns, she was set upon by a group of bandits, intending to take all she had, along with her life. Fortunately for her, the day she met Armond, was the same day he was also fleeing Deningrad. He decided to help her, eventually driving the bandits off. As a result of that, she became enamored with him, following him as he made his way to Bale. Upon arriving in Bale, she pledged herself to him, resulting in her now serving him as his own personal maid. She also enjoys playing the violin.

Personality: He's a pretty chill mad scientist. He's dedicated to working in workshop or exploring for exotic devices or notes and stuff on devices and whatnot. Only thing that really annoys him is people touching things without his permission.

History: Born in Tiberoa he would be soon acquainted with tales of magic and how this world can no longer produce such effects. The era of the distant past of the wingly overlords despite their cruelty had some marvels that blended the nearly gone magic of this world with technology. When he got older he came to the conclusion that in world where magic was failing that technology would be the only way to continue should magic wane out of use permanently. Dedicating himself to exploring and searching for any magicless device or perhaps technology that was abandoned in favor of magic he tries and build up a well of knowledge to help mankind

Personality: Caelyn is very outgoing, she is not shy at all. Sometimes she can come off as very blunt. Caelyn just tells things like they are. After losing many people she has cared about, she has made it her priority to not let her thoughts linger on regret.

History: Caelyn's family came from the mountain ranges north of Midlake. She has always had an affinity for wet weather. When she was little, her family was involved in a tragic avalanche. Caelyn was dug out of the storm a week after it happened. Her parents were no where to be found. Born with black hair, something happened to her when she was trapped under all that snow. Fortunately for her she was sealed off in a cabin that allowed her to withstand the elements, or so her rescuers believe...the truth however is much more primal.
It took the villagers nearly 4 days just to reach the scene. Caelyn's family often traded with the local village. The family that rescued her was somewhat familiar with Caelyn's parents, so they decided to adopt her. After being rescued, her hair had taken on a blue hue. Caelyn underwent a type of transformation in that icy tomb. She has not spoken of it... to this day.

She has spent the latter part of her life devoting herself to her weapon-play and swims daily to stay in shape. Caelyn's foster father was an imperial guard. One day, she was playing in his study, and she came across his bardiche. The weapon seemed an extension of her arm. Her affinity with it was almost supernatural. From that day on she never put one down. Her father had one custom made for her size and as she grew, he would extend the handle.

Another part of her training was swimming. She actually holds the record for doing the most laps around Midlake without needing a break. She was taken in by a family that was part of the rescue crew that found her. The life they offered her was a rich one, and although the void left behind by her parents deaths was gaping, they did a decent job patching her up.

On her 21st birthday she set out to become worldly, and hoped to understand her natural affinity to water better. She heard of such an expert in a far away village. No one knew where the journey would lead or what she would encounter, only that she had to make it.
