@Ellri@Fallenreaper Hey, I was going over the Recruitment wishes section and saw under Jedi Prisoners, you're looking for non-human. What would you consider as non-human? Would Miraluka, Mirialan and Zabrak be non-human enough or were you looking more for species like Twi'lek and Iktotchi?

Also Non-Human means exactly as it suggests. Non-Human. For Ellri the less human the better, with the exception that Galactic Basic is a must.

@Deamonbane As an experienced kinda guy I'm going to give advice. Before Ellri and Fallen review your sheet (before I go into why, note I am not noted for subtly. I'm a blunt person so just incase you're a sensitive person I mean no offense).

I got to the flaws section of your sheet, and gave up. I read the secrets today, and again. Ignored your history. Your entire character concept is cliché and overused, not just in this Roleplay but in almost every other roleplay I have seen involving Jedi. There is always one if not more who are rogues to the council! Make their own rules! Lucky the council lets them remain as Jedi!

I have to be honest, where's the fun in that? What makes it interesting? What makes it Original?

To be honest, I don't like the concept of character sheets. You are asking to take what is hopefully a unique character and make him jump through the same hoops of definition as everyone else. If you look at them closely, a great deal of regular old folk aren't in fact the magical snowflakes of uniqueness that they hope to be but are very similar in many characteristics. In this way, by defining a bunch of characters by the same old questions, yeah, the a lot of the characters are gonna seem like cliches and unoriginal. There's a reason why there are cliches, after all.

To answer your question, what makes Kylar original is that I'm going to playing him. As an extension of myself, I'm gonna be taking all of these things that the sheet has forced to be a selection of cliches and 'we've seen it all before's and make Kylar into something original.

So, thanks for giving me and Kylar the benefit of the doubt, as judging a character by the first draft of his character sheet is the RP version of judging a book by its cover.

@Deamonbane if you are not conveying your character in the sheet well and feel it is lacking throw in a sample post to make your point clear.

Anyway I am not going to put my full comment up as I am on my phone and the decision isn't mine anyway.

My concern stemmed from the fact that there are species in Star Wars that are very human-like, like the Twi'leks. Either way, your answer narrows my options down for me. Thanks.

I define none human as anything isn't human or part human in their DNA. Zabrak, Mirialan, (Mialuka are off the table), Twi'Lek, etc. all fall under that area in my mind.

If you've not noticed, @Mifuyne, Fallen is very much fond of Zabrak.

By non-human we mean species that aren't in the near-human category on the wiki.

Sole restriction we have is that the species has to be able to speak galactic basic. Echo has the restriction on no Miraluka.

Near-human is also fine, but its interesting to see new species played out, provided they make sense.

Do try to avoid those species without any significant sources. (one-shot species, for example, appearing only in one or two books/comics)

It's a good thing I was already leaning towards Zabrak xD Just wanted to make sure they were non-human enough for Jedi captives at least.
