This is supposed to be the part of the roleplay where I give an overview of the storyline thus far, but... it just seems like utter bs. I understand it is fun to play along with a story and finish it up, but I think creating your own characters, your own story, your own roleplay, should be fun. I don't want to hold you back from creating the characters that you want. I'm not going to give you guys a character sheet to fill out because I really want you to create your own. I know that what I'm doing is basically give you a playground of endless possibilities, and from what I've seen, that doesn't work out. People usually want a story set up for them so they can write unoriginal BS. I'm probably making everything worse for my cause because I basically insulted all of you, and for that, I am truly sorry.

I really just came up with this idea because High school is a time when teens find out who they are. That is what Erik Erikson basically states with his studies in developmental psychology. He believe that between the ages of about 12 and 19, adolescents should be facing a moral issue between role confusion and identity. I really want this roleplay to write itself sort of to those rules. I know my idea for this was for people to basically write this themselves with nothing holding them back, but I think a great starting point is the confusion teenagers usually have in life.

There is a chance that this whole thing does work out, and that would be wonderful. I see so many roleplays, and even join a few, that only go on for about ten or twenty posts and then die. If it ends up being just me and one other person, I frankly won't care as long as it can last. I think writing is something people should do to express themselves and joining an roleplay, hopefully this one, can help you express yourself and also let this expand to as big as it can get. Now i'm just rambling and I apologize for that. So without further adieu, I present to you a roleplay that might work out... hopefully.

You have to at least write up a solid paragraph for each post. I don’t want you to feel obliged to write up
a long post but not stuff that you would see in the free rp section.

Bao is of Hmong descent giving her a nice golden tan all year round. She had dark brown eyes and originally black hair that she lightens to a soft brown tone. She is petite, standing at around 5ft tall and weighs around 110lbs. Her clothing is very urban and comfortable. Her mother would say she dresses very sloppily, but everything has been planned to look as such. She wears makeup daily, and is never seen in public without it.

A friend in need is a friend indeed! This saying applies to Bao in many shapes and forms. When you need her, she will be there. She is the type to drive to your house at any hour of the night in case you need someone to talk to, or a shoulder to cry on. Willing to do about anything if asked, she doesn't have very strong leadership skills or ability to command anyone to do anything. One to look on the bright side of the things, and lets you know that tomorrow will be a better day. She'll make damn sure of it.

However silly and carefree Bao appears to be, she often has moments of self doubt and self depreciation. Her parents have held a very tight leash on her, and want her to follow a traditional lifestyle in the Hmong culture, which she feels is a bit over the top. She hopes one day she can find a simple balance between the two.

Bao has been raised under a traditional Hmong American household. One that dictates you do as your parents say, as they have done as their parents have told them. Originally born in Thailand, Bao's family came to America before Bao was even one. Her father works at a corporate office and her mother stays at home doing the cooking, cleaning, and raising of Bao's two younger sisters; aged 13 and 5. All in all they live a middle class lifestyle, in a small 3 bedroom home. Bao isn't very close to her parents, and looks to them as regulations and rules rather than guidance and friendship.

School was a serious thing for Bao, her parents expected her to do the very best that she was capable of, and then exceed that point. Her parents wanted her to be a doctor or a nurse or a lawyer, while Bao had eyes on the art scene- music, fashion, movies. Something that was considered a "stupid dream" and a "waste of time and money".

It was then she decided to join the break dancing club.

Lying to her parents that she was taking up an after school study class to practice for ACTS and SATS exams, Bao went behind her parents back to go into the club that provided her with some release of stress from her everyday wear and tear of living up to her parents expectations. She has a longing to one day tell her parents about her activities but knows that it might be a catastrophic event when she does.

To most people who see him, hes just any angry kid hateful and pissed at the world. Quick to foul language and violence few can claim to be his friend. Quick to back talk to teachers and students alike very few see a good ending for this young man, dom himself admits this as well but simply doesn't care. While few get past his tough exterior, those who do find the greatest friend anyone could have. On several occasions in his last school he took the blame for his friend, knowing he would be expelled.

B A C K G R O U N D;;
Dominic was born the eldest of three in a lower income family. As a child he was a good kid, often praised for his friendliness by the neighborhood. Everyone wished they had the son who looked out for his siblings and wasn't your average "mean older brother" He was though how ever like most boys, as every once in a while he would be caught trying to play a prank or two with his best friends. Dominic,Jasmine and Jason, The three were the best of friends, always together sticking up for one another. The number of times Dominic came home bruised after backing up his best friend Jason or Standing up for the crybaby Jasmine. Dominic was happy, as happy as any child forced to live in the hood just getting by could be. Dominic and Jason loved basketball, everyday after school the two would play one on one with big dreams of going to the NBA they worked hard. The two were like brothers often staying at each others house when things went sour at home. While these two were natural best friends it was Jasmine who kept the two together. Any time the two fought or argued Jasmine would do her best to have them make up. No matter what happened she always got the two apologize and to go back to being best friends. Some would say it was fate that the two would end up together, Jasmine asked Dom out and in their second year of middle school they began going out. To Dom the world was golden, Even though life was a constant hustle he knew he could get though it with his best friend and the love of his life. But such is life, he was about to learn a harsh lesson about the world. During the summer before his freshman year everything fell apart as Dom's mother was caught having an affair with one of the neighbors, shaken by this Dominic went to his friends. Before he could tell them anything Jason gave him the news "She's breaking up with you... for the last six months we have been seeing each other.." in the matter of hours his world had crumbled. He had believed when she had told him she loved him that morning, He had believed that Jason would always be his boy, He believed his mom cared about him. all were proved wrong, as Later that day his mother said they would live with their dad. She would very later on get remarried and currently wants to try and be a mother again, things for obvious reasons had a great effect on Dominic. His father the very next day took the children out of school, and because his mother got the house the family went to live with relatives in another state. Over the next two years he bounced from school to school as near every school expelled him for either legal or academic reasons.
