<Snipped quote by Kangutso>
There are many kinds of war, by the technological era where we are the conflicts never left a very small region here on earth. On the same way, Reathos is mad at what, 2000 humans and 14~16000 hain :P? If he thinks that is a lot just wait until we reach something as advanced as say, the bronze age, and cities like Ur, with """mindblowing""" 40 thousand people in a single place show up.
To make a bigger regional war we would need gods to intervene, and sincerely, the first god to do that will get the hammer hard. I mean, you show up with cold zombies killing everyone and you are probably going to get at least six gods angry at ya. Not opposing this plot development, it just seems to be a bit too early, especially considering hainkind has just started chipping stone and mankind literally just arrived. There are not even horseback riding to move these dudes around :P
Maybe death or war worshipers or something, or the rise of the first warchiefs between the Hain, or a Mesa/Valley being divided by Hain and Man who wage racewar.
@Legion02 I also feel like its odd to make Reathos this reactive with life :<
I mean, to each player their own, I know its not my place to comment, but weren't you going for a more Hades like style?
Oh no no no no. I'm not just creating uber zombies in like a turn or 2. Gods no! That wouldn't even be fair. But at a certain point I do want a certain species ready to engage all life as some sort of hard reset. He's making them in preparation of what inevitably will happen. Like when traps and more weapons become standard among the Hain, there will be more food. So there will be a population explosion. After that comes agriculture, another population explosion. It's in preparation for when humans, Hain, Rovaick and Empire race becomes too numerous that he will make his own species engage. Well, at least, that's my new plan. Because you are right when you say that it would be a little too early for Reathos to already want a purge. (Unless, of course given a reason.)
Death worshippers will come when all species have some sense of community and stuff. Their creation is still on my things to do. And those guys will play a bigger role in the future before any great purge by my own creatures.
Also, it's true that as God of death he might be interacting a little too much with life lately. This will be reflected in his post. The problem is that everyone is making living things and honestly, I wanted to join in on the fun. Hades was more of a ruler of the underworld, but there is no real underworld (yet?). Further, I don't recall all that much myths (correct me if I'm wrong here though) where Hades is pro-active. And that is what I want Reathos to be, a pro-active god. But yes, I might tone down the creation a little bit after the creation of my own sentient species.
Oh, on a final note. One vs 6 would indeed mean that the one gets bashed. Maybe we should explore the options where several gods band together against several others? Like Troy vs all other greeks. Several gods joined the side of Troy (Poseidon most notably) and others joined the greeks (Zeus I think, definitely Athena). Alas, that's just a suggestion.
