@Legion02, if Reathos starts messing too much with Astarte's source of entertainment without replacing it with something else, she'll start casual genocide on Reathos' creations.

Vestec is in love.

EDIT: I WANT A FIGHT!!! Seriously I think we can start approaching the era where we should start seeing race vs race battles. Or at least followers vs followers fights. Or am I the only one thinking that?

Give me this collab to finish. Then Vestec will give you a war.

Oh yes.

He'll give you a war...

With civilization comes a great increase in the chance of war, or conflict, and Teknall has officially supplied the roots of civilization to the Hain.

There are many kinds of war, by the technological era where we are the conflicts never left a very small region here on earth. On the same way, Reathos is mad at what, 2000 humans and 14~16000 hain :P? If he thinks that is a lot just wait until we reach something as advanced as say, the bronze age, and cities like Ur, with """mindblowing""" 40 thousand people in a single place show up.

To make a bigger regional war we would need gods to intervene, and sincerely, the first god to do that will get the hammer hard. I mean, you show up with cold zombies killing everyone and you are probably going to get at least six gods angry at ya. Not opposing this plot development, it just seems to be a bit too early, especially considering hainkind has just started chipping stone and mankind literally just arrived. There are not even horseback riding to move these dudes around :P

Maybe death or war worshipers or something, or the rise of the first warchiefs between the Hain, or a Mesa/Valley being divided by Hain and Man who wage racewar.

@Legion02 I also feel like its odd to make Reathos this reactive with life :<
I mean, to each player their own, I know its not my place to comment, but weren't you going for a more Hades like style?

Oh no no no no. I'm not just creating uber zombies in like a turn or 2. Gods no! That wouldn't even be fair. But at a certain point I do want a certain species ready to engage all life as some sort of hard reset. He's making them in preparation of what inevitably will happen. Like when traps and more weapons become standard among the Hain, there will be more food. So there will be a population explosion. After that comes agriculture, another population explosion. It's in preparation for when humans, Hain, Rovaick and Empire race becomes too numerous that he will make his own species engage. Well, at least, that's my new plan. Because you are right when you say that it would be a little too early for Reathos to already want a purge. (Unless, of course given a reason.)

Death worshippers will come when all species have some sense of community and stuff. Their creation is still on my things to do. And those guys will play a bigger role in the future before any great purge by my own creatures.

Also, it's true that as God of death he might be interacting a little too much with life lately. This will be reflected in his post. The problem is that everyone is making living things and honestly, I wanted to join in on the fun. Hades was more of a ruler of the underworld, but there is no real underworld (yet?). Further, I don't recall all that much myths (correct me if I'm wrong here though) where Hades is pro-active. And that is what I want Reathos to be, a pro-active god. But yes, I might tone down the creation a little bit after the creation of my own sentient species.

Oh, on a final note. One vs 6 would indeed mean that the one gets bashed. Maybe we should explore the options where several gods band together against several others? Like Troy vs all other greeks. Several gods joined the side of Troy (Poseidon most notably) and others joined the greeks (Zeus I think, definitely Athena). Alas, that's just a suggestion.

@Legion02 The troy idea is great, when cities start to form we could have one city that is cool for a handful of gods but "bad" for others. Then bang, war explode, heroes go into war, and Ilunabar makes a fortune selling popcorn on the sidewalk.

This turn I intend for Zephy to make his race of ogres. Ogres are not friendly, so I imagine that wars will begin between them and nearly every other species in the vicinity of the Ironheart Mountains and parts of the Firewind Desert.

With stone-age weapons I imagine that the giant ogres will be unstoppable, enslave all their neighbors, and build a great empire, but naturally this empire will begin to collapse as time goes on and the dimwitted ogres fall behind in technology.

@Rtron Do you think Vestec would eventually like to have a friendly game where they start a gigantic war between his Rovaick and Zephy's ogres to see which ones are better?

Making a sort of back-up for your creations might be a really good idea soon. Reathos is starting to dislike the great abundance of sentient life...

Ehh the Nice Mountains was always intended to be a sanctuary for those who don't want wars. Of course, when life dies, Niciel will allow the souls to go to Reathos.

Hmmmm...

This makes me think. That means that anyone who is supposed to die and knows of the mountains will try to flee there. What exactly are the limitations in this area? Can someone be knocked unconscious or is violence in any form impossible here?

Violence is not forbidden. It is simply ill intentions and character that the Mountains highly discourage (and it results in severe headaches and nausea until such characteristics disappear). The only actions that are completely forbidden here are the murdering of sentient creatures, even accidental murder, and intended physical torturing of any form of life, which results in the offender falling into a coma until he or she is removed from the mountains (and any attempt to return will result in said coma). Even beings such as demons may enter the Nice Mountains as long as they follow these guidelines (although they may not necessarily feel comfortable).

Honestly UFC fighting seems like something Astarte would definitely make. Fake fighting for fun XD.

Also crap, so it really does become an asylum for those fleeing from violence and death. So my guys can't enter that place considering literally every follower/creation of Reathos will be out to kill someone.

I feel like Ashlings already occupy a pretty White Walker-esquire space in the current compendium of species, although I'd be pretty proud of this roleplay if we managed to introduce yet another parasitoid sentient race without major thematic overlap. Parasites, man. Parasites.

Also totally up for building a Troy or two.

@Scarifar Oh fuck, whoops. I think I had some or other yarnball suffocate a hain while it was within the Nice border earlier. How strong is the effect on non-sentient critters? Does predation count as murder?

Now that I think about it, I don't think it even affects non-sentient creatures, at least not as badly as it does sentient creatures. After all, predation is natural as long as it doesn't needlessly inflict pain and suffering.

That may not actually be the case in real life nature, at least not all the time.

I don't think words are necessary; Zephyrion's newest form is beautiful.

He'll build a wall around the desert and make Vulamera pay for it.

The Hains love him; he's great with the Hain. They think he's the best.

He's a champion for Demigod rights.
Wait, nevermind, he'll abolish demigod rights.
