Zack laughed. "I think you miss understand me. I did not mean that I disliked the cold. I don't mind the cold at all. I did not want to in the adaptive rooms because there were not many students in them. Not because of the temperature. I prefer colder temperatures too. We have a lot of hair when we transform. I wanted to be around as many people as Griffin could tolerate." He explained as he headed to the adaptive rooms. They were set up alittle different then the other dorms. They weren't separated by sex like the normal dorms.

Katherin walked into Mimic's class. She wasn't as scared of power development class the way she had been last year. Her confidence was still low but it was better then it had been. She knew she had more control. It wasn't as perfect as her dad's but it was getting there. She looked around to discover that the room was almost empty still. Must still be early. She saw a student she didn't recognize. "First year here?"

Guido's ears perk up at the sound of the class door opening. As he turns around to see who had entered, a fellow ginger comes into view. Upon being asked if he was a newcomer, Guido nods and replies, "Yeah, how about you? I'm Guido, by the way."

Lex walked to the gym, angry but did his best to keep calm. He remembers his dad making him exercise every day. One night he remmbered overhearing his dad getting mad about Superman. His father seemed jealous that he had to keep in shape, while Superman was born with it. He changed into some gym clothes and let out a sigh as he walked into class. He sat on a bleacher silently waiting for the teacher

"Maybe your father wanted you to believe that, Lex. Don't worry about it. No one has seem Anthony for months" Phoebe said reasonably. She smiled at another girl, seeing her heading in the right direction, Phoebe left her be, returning the smile easily. The girl seemed quite timid, and Pheobe resolved to talk with her later.

Connor said musingly, "There probably is a list, which is probably dangerous if the school was ever hacked. Not that that has ever happened." Connor smiled, as Kijani seemed quite excited, leaning into to whisper. "Really? How?" He asked, curiously

Harry, deciding to leave the boy he'd been talking with for now as the bell rang, headed towards gym, or what he hoped was gym. He avoided peoples eyes once more, which only caused him to get hopelessly lost in the school grounds. He appeared to be in some sort of court yard, between buildings.

And he didn't have a map.

The young boy was alone, expecting the voices of course, in a school, and he couldn't even ask anyone for help.

[i]You've done it again, Harry! You can't do anything right!{/i] the voice that seemed like a million voices echoed through his mind, and he gritted his teeth. There was a door. Logic said it had to go somewhere, and Harry stalked over it it, opening the door, he found himself in a hallway.

He tried to find the most logical route out, and it was with relief that he found the main entrance, by then he knew he was running late.

Katherin shook her head. "No. This is my second year here. It's a pretty good school. Everyone is nice. You'll make friends in no time. My name is Katherin Winter. I am the daughter of Bobby Drake otherwise known as Iceman. Who are you related to?" She asked. She liked who everyone's parents were. She knew it didn't matter. Not everyone followed their parents paths. But it was interesting to know who was related to who.

"Nice to meet you Katherine," Guido replied, "My father is Jamie Madrox, also known as Multiple Man. What can you tell me about the school?"

Max goes to Phoebe and ask"You what's this place all about?I kind off just woke up here without any memory of what happened"

Lex sat hearing the other students intorduce themselves to each other, and who there parents are. he let out a sigh and said "My name is Lex Luthor.....its should be clear who my father is. Its nice to meet you all."

Lance had walked to the gymnasium and changed in the boys locker room, he then went to the bleachers and overheard the other students saying who their parents were. He heard particularly someone say that his name was Lex Luthor, Lance looked at him and studied his appearance, he looked like a youthful Lex Luthor, Lance went over to introduce himself. "My name is Lance, Lance Carter, Neither of my parents have super powers" He said sticking his hand out with a smile.

Lex looked over at the guy who was talking to him.He smiles at the guy and shook his hand. "Good to meet you. Im Lex Luthor.." Lex said giving Lance a small smile. "I hope we can be good friends..." Lex looked seeing a familair green ring. A lantern ring? Father has old files on these. "Nice ring Lance." He said asmall smile on his dace

"Keen that you noticed" Lance smirked, lance put his hand up. Lance clenched his closed his hand and the ring grew bright, He than smiled, the boy didn't seem like a bad guy or was going to live up to his fathers reputation. Lance sits next to him, "what do you plan on doing with what you learn here anyways" Lance asks.

"Mimic will push you. He can be touch but he means well, I think. Most of the students here get along. It isn't hard to put aside the whole hero/villain thing. I'm not sure what else to say." Katherin told him.

"A lot of hair? I can't imagine what that would be like." Kassy looked at her arms, which were visibly hairless. Many people of her species had very little hair at all- it was considered a sign of great privilege to have long hair. King Namor's retainers had been trying to convince Kassy to grow out hers, to display her new station, but she rather liked her short cut. It was more useful. "Aha, this is mine." All the dorms had similar doors, but each one was marked with a little nametag. Hers was a little seashell with her name neatly printed. Kassy opened the door, revealing a standard size dorm room, but with several modifications. The air was quite wet and cool, and Kassy could see tiny machines pumping mist into the room. Instead of a bed, there was a deep pool set into the floor. On a dreseser was a smaller separate tank, one filled with tiny fat fish. "...did... did they leave me a snack? How sweet!" She wanted to look around more, but knew that there would be class starting soon. She dropped off her spare things, took a deep breath of the heavenly wet air, and stepped back out. "Thank you for your assistance, Zach and Griffin."

"Okay, get this." Kijani grinned at him and said three words. "Giant. Paper. Airplane." It had started out almost as a joke. She'd spent some of her summer abroad simply entertaining herself. Besides books, she'd never really let herself relax before. Even most of what she read had some kind of intrinsic value, or was to improve her skill. It took her quite a while to just be able to watch television without feeling a deep sense of guilt. One of the shows she'd watched was about an adorable Japanese woman who loved books like breathing and could move paper. She'd seen the woman in the cartoon fly using a massive paper plane, and decided that, why not try it, it would be fun.

She hadn't expected it to actually work.

"It's not a pretty plane. It needs some fine tuning, so I could steer it properly or push it faster. Not to mention possibly take less paper, or even a rider that isn't me. I need your expert assistance, my love." Kijani paused, her whole face going frozen, then completely mortified. "I-- I mean- I didn't say-- I got overexcited, I didn't mean--" Did she really say that out loud?

"Yes...I did. My father, well he knew a lot about them I guess you could say.." Lex said with a small smile. Memories of listening to his father explain the lantern rings came to mine. He remembered his dad even said he possessed one of them for a brief period of time. He then said "Im here to become a hero...and redeem my family name." Lex didnt mention to also build at least a prototype of his suit

Lance let out a grin of relief, at least this Lex Luthor was trying to straighten his family name, "Well I guess we will be allies if that is what you desire" Lance said. "Are you also new to this whole super power school thing?" Lance asked, "I used to go to a regular old public school with not much funding, so this is a huge changed for me" Lance said thinking about the differences.

"You mentioned the whole hero/villain thing," Guido replies, "do they push you to be a hero here? Or do they let you explore both sides? And if I don't want to be either and just learn more about my abilities, is that alright?"

Zack smiled. He liked meeting new friends. It was wonderful to have someone new to get to know. "We...well I was glad to help. Power development is starting soon. You should rest a few minutes but don't take long. You should get yourself a small misting fab so thst you can be comfortable in classs. You don't want to be late. Some teachers are ok with it but some arent. You don't ever want to be late for Mimics class. Do you need us to show you the way?"

"The teachers won't push you. In fact to in encouraged to explore both sides. That wsy you won't have any requests once you do pick a side. You don't have to pick a side. Atlas not until graduation. They might make you choose then but I'm not sure. I don't see why they would but I don't know for sure. I think most people know what their choice will be before they graduate." Katherin explained.

Guido nods appreciatively and says quietly, "Thank you." He falls silent then turns around for s few minutes before facing Katherine once again and asking somewhat abruptly, "What can you do?"

Lex nods at Lance "Yea...im new here. I was home schooled by my father for most of my life. This is....different." A soft smile came to his face. "I would like to have you be my friend." He held out his hand to shake, but his briefcase fell, accidentally opening. The blueprints for his warsuit fell out. he cursed quickly picking up the papers

It was quite strange to see Kijani flustered, more So to have her not being guarded in the things she said. Unburdened, even slightly, from her past, Kijani seemed more...open.

As she explained how she could fly, eagerly saying what she had accomplished and what she thought could be done, Connor watched her, and so caught the moment she realized what she had said. Perhaps she might have seen the quick jolt that took him at her words, but her own reaction to them seemed to be one of utter shock, and...it wasn't regret...was it fear?

It wouldn't surprise Connor if Kijani had never spoken words of love before, to anyone. But sometimes that made the thing more pure, even if it was more frightening.

So Connor did the only thing he could to reassure her. He took her in his arms, kissing her softly, "why fear Love? Why fear it won't be reciprocated? Face it, my dear, you are stuck with me."

It was, quite probably, cheesy, but since when has that bothered Connor?

Phoebe looked to the newcomer, finding his attitude slightly rude. Still, she managed a smile and gave a concerned look. "Well, this is the academy. Here you will learn to control your powers, learn how to be a good super. Here you will be taught how to balance life and saving the world. I'm Phoebe"
