Update on post: Still happening. I've gotten the biggest sections done or mostly done. Just one more day. Try not to go too crazy with posts over the next twenty-four hours.

It's not entirely furball bullshit this time, just partially.

Fair enough, bro/sis.

But, regarding disease, I think that's the territory of multiple Gods: Vestec, Reathos, Adversary, Jvan, and even Vulamera (if you count insanity/brain-injury). Therefore, there'd be nothing wrong with you creating one, since it's practically public domain (in my opinion, anyway)

For the record, I wasn't saying I don't like the race, I was just putting my opinion in. I honestly want as many races as possible. Vulamera loves sentients

You guys could make a fusion-ha of super death.

And Lif loves merging sentients into his followers - he is representative of all of them, after all.

I wonder how Jvan will react to a sentient race that is naturally formless... but can shapeshift to look like anything?

Would he think they're awful, for having no shape? Or would he love them for their ability to be anything?

Vulamera is making them.

Strictly speaking, fiberlings are shapeshifters by nature, so she has no problem with amorphosity.

Vulamera's existence annoys her because, as a god, she was given the chance and creativity to become anything and she still chose to become 'nothing'. Similarly, if these shapeshifters live up to their name and willingly explore their potential to take on new forms, she'll like them; If they stay as featureless spheres or clouds of consciousness and only morph when they really have to, then there will be problems.

By problems I mean 'she'll pout for a little bit and then go on as usual but occasionally give Vulamera a sidelong glare'.

They won't just explore their powers of shape-changing, they'll rely on it for hunting, eating, and communicating with any other race. It will also be their primary form of self-expression, and reproduction.

If they remain in one form too long, they "harden" and are trapped in that shape forever. For them, that is a fate is worse than death. They will pray to die before they stay always in a single shape.

Jvan will be their second favorite God, actually, after Vulamera herself. Their third will be Vakarlon, then Illunabar, then finally Zephyrion

Vowzra is a waste of potential. His powers could be used for so much more than falling at Fate's feet and controlling timelines. He should be joining Vulamera in her quest for knowledge.

Alas, Vowzra chooses to be strange, aloof, useless, and unknown to mortals

Zephyrion might have been inclined to accept Vowzra as a fellow Supreme Being, but he's never around to do anything or make changes. Maybe he should get his own designation, like Supreme Hider or Supreme Bystander.

Meh, he's not hiding, Zeph is just asleep. He's dreaming. He thinks he can see Vowzra in his dreams, but only those who are awake can see Truth.

Why would they worship a God of Time? They live for many centuries, but otherwise have no connection to Creation or Time.

They won't hate him, though. They'll only really hate the Adversary, seeing him as a cruel torturer.

@HaelReally? I would have thought they'd be (at least) ambivalent towards him. He does everything for knowledge. It's also worth noting the Adversary does about equal good to evil (although he doesn't himself believe in such things -- he couldn't, he has to stand outside them).

Then again, you said they like Jvan. So presumably they don't take wholly after Vulamera.

That's right! They take after Lifprasil.

They will, at least :^)

@poog the pigThen that does make sense.

Will they be "good"? If so, it makes total sense that they'd hate Mammon.

Because all his interactions with them will be about making them fall to evil.

Correct! They are not simply a clone of Vulamera, nor are they Vulamera fused with any other Gods (as the Insidie are). They're highly intelligent and they love knowledge, but they have negative views when it comes to the Adversary's methods of experimentation/testing.

EDIT: Yes, they'll be VERY Lawful Good.

These creations are in the apple of Vulamera's eye. She will not simply give them to Lif. Want them? He'll have to take them himself, and they are not able to be conquered by traditional means. You'll see why in my post, but suffice to say that an army of invaders will never see them nor sense them. They'll vanish into the environment entirely. Gone.

So warriors and wizards with wands won't work well. To control them, you must control their environment first. Then they will come out of hiding, and can be reasoned with to join your empire.

Actually, there's a way that Astartian magic might be the only mortal-wielded power to be capable of detecting them when they don't want to be seen. (seriously, these guys make Daegon himself look obvious)

Should I PM you my idea?
