Aww, I love Hunter. Mostly because he's a character named Lance Hunter played by an actor named Nick Blood. Nick Blood, you guys! This may be the only time the actor's name sounds more like a comic book character.

I've escaped the vortex of Daredevil after finishing last night. I can get to posting... soon. This was a convention weekend, and I'm flying home Tuesday, but that leaves tonight and tomorrow as possibilities. We'll see what the Muses have in store.
Can someone explain to me the appeal of Nightwing? I get that he's a good character but I really don't get the legions of fans that have sprung up for him. Not putting him down at all but can someone tell me what makes him so amazing? :D
@TimeMasterXWell, for me Nightwing was the gateway character that got me into comics. Which is a lot of his appeal for me. There's the fact that he's a contrast to Batman. He lost his parents but didn't succumb to being dark and gritty. The original Teen Titans (before they replaced him with Tim) were very well thought out (Mainly because of Perez and Wolfman) in which Nightwing was the leader and a very capable hero.
I wouldn't say "Oh! He's so amazing *swoon*" (He is my favorite character in the DC verse though) I'd say it all boils down to personal preference. Like I can't see the appeal of the X-men. Which was one of the main reasons I spent so long resisting getting into Marvel comics. (Don't get me started on the apparent X-man/Inhumans Marvel conspiracy that's going on. Or start quoting to me about the political aspect of the X-men. I am well aware of that. I'll toss back Star Trek in your face.)
@Blue Demon That's fair enough, everyone I've spoken to who's into Nightwing seems to cite the Teen Titans as a big source of that, I never really got into them so that might be why I need to ask the question haha. Also toss Star Trek all you like, love it. (& the X-Men too but that's a different story :P)

What's not to love about Dick? He refuses to let his parents murder define him, grows in front of our eyes from a child into a man, from Robin into Nightwing, and manages to maintain his devil-may-care attitude throughout. Dick is allowed that rarity in comic books: the opportunity to actually grow as a person. The boy adventurer turns into one of the greatest leaders in the DC universe and manages to do it all with a smile on his face. He's Batman at his purest, a Batman not embittered by his parents murder, partly by Bruce's design and partly through his own desire to strike out and prove himself able to stand on his own two feet.

Without Dick Grayson, I'm having to figure out to marry Damian with the origins of Robin. That predicament seemed as good a spot as any to plant the seed.
Now I need to fill out a form, then using that form that I have just filled in I will need to fill in the form for my visa which will then book an appointment at a US-Embassy.
