Aya watched the two teens go after a few of the Hounds. Thank goodness, they're on her side. She shoulders her battle-axe, getting up from her position next to the little girl. She has never been in a single fight before, never wielded a weapon in her life, but this entire situation and the weapon in her hand felt as natural as breathing. The Hound that the black haired teen weighed in against had dodged the backpack that was thrown at it, but had been so focused on the object that it didn't notice the follow-up, being hit right on the cranium and falling to the floor. Aya wasn't sure if it was dead or not, and was surprised at non-chalant behavior she was exhibiting at the sight.

The second teen had tried a stab at another of the Hounds, but he had missed, the beast hopping to the side of the blade. Aya had no doubt that it would had ripped the boy's throat if he hadn't swung his blade to fend off a would-be-attacker. As he started to run towards Aya and her charge, the Hound had taken the open chance to try and leap onto the teen's back, another Hound not far behind. The Thug and one of the unengaged Hounds had started to run to the black-haired teen's position, the Thug swinging his bat vertically from the right to try and smash the teen's chest cavity, and the Hound aiming a swipe with it's right claws to hopefully rake at the teen's left leg tendons down low. The last two Hounds turned their sights on Aya and the pinkette, both of them growling and stalking closer and closer. The brunette teen pushed the younger girl behind her, holding her Axe infront with a single hand, the other keeping the little girl behind. "S-stay close. I s-said I'll protect you." She stuttered out. There was no way that these beasts would hurt the pinkette. She gave her word, and was going to keep it. With a wordless battle cry, Aya raised her battle axe to bare, holding it with both hands, and committed to a horizontal swing of her massive weapon against one of her foes.

Shiro felt a bit of sadness as the beast crumpled to the ground. He hoped it wasn't dead, even if it might've wanted to eat them. He turned to see sword guy had followed him and was now beset by more of the beasts. Shiro took a step to help but was stopped by enemies of his own. He was torn for a moment, sword guy needed help but there was no way Shiro could get past these guys fast enough. Frustrated and driven by instinct Shiro raised a hand open-palmed towards the oncoming enemies.

He exhaled loudly and felt a drain of energy, as though he'd just sprinted a hundred meters and sand blasted out of his hand, blinding the two seeking to attack him as well as the second hound that was closing in on sword guy. He had to take care of these dummies before he could help anymore so he once more swung his metal pole in a massive two-handed smash on the Thug's head. He didn't really want to kill anyone but he had little choice in the matter. In another moment he would replicate his action on the other one, hoping it would be blinded long enough to let him finish it off as well, before moving to help sword guy.

Magnus follows the blast of sand with surprise, that was certainly new to him. As he turned he noticed the other hound, he had been careless. He stops as quickly as he possibly could. during his slide to a stop, he spins his sword in his hand and plunges it towards the blinded dog.

No feelings of remorse were in his heart as he attempted to plunge his sword through the blinded dogs skull. If one was looking into his eyes at the time, no warmth would be there, only cold and anger.

She didn't know what in the world just happened. One moment, she was covered in wondrous warmth, lost in love's embrace. The next, she was thrust away from her heaven and sent straight back into reality: a broken world where the sky is an unnatural orange, and the sun a sinister red. The brunette angel, whose hands had once been wrapped around her and sharing in their warmth, now held a weapon of massive size, which she used to try and cut down a pair of feral looking dogs. Off in the distance, two older teens were fighting another group of Hounds, along with a man that wielded a baseball bat. Mira's mind quickly caught up, re-evaluating her situation as well as an eight year old could. She was dead, but not alone as she thought, instead being brought alive again and living in a world where animals attack people... That's really hard to take in with such little time.

A Hound, not being pressured by Aya's massive weapon, instead maneuvered around the teen in favor of the weaker looking prey: Mira. The young girl screamed in fear, ducking under a long pounce by sheer instinct, and starting to run away from the beast that soon recovered from it's leap. In her retreat, she stumbled over something and fell to the ground, scuffing her knees and elbows as she impacted the gravel. Tears of pain welled up in her eyes, as she looked down at what had tripped her. The weapon sitting innocently under her foot. A loud snarl alerted her to the Hound's advance, charging at her with an open mouth of sharp teeth, and eyes burning with hunger. In a feat that she would later be unable to recreate, she hooked the handle of the gun with her foot, and threw it towards her open hand. With one smooth movement, she aimed the gun at the Hound's head, exhaled to calm her hand, and fired a single round straight through it's skull.

The Hound let out a single whimper, then fell to the ground, it's earlier momentum carrying it a few more feet towards the pinkette. Said pinkette was currently sweating bullets, nearly hyperventilating with the speed of her inhales and exhales. She started to feel a liquid soak her ankles, and as she looked towards her feet she saw a stream of blood leading to the Hound's open wound. Was that... blood? Then the girl understood what she just did. She had just killed something. It didn't matter what it was trying to do, the fact is that she killed it. She vomited onto the pavement, her teary violet orbs locked onto the dead Hound's clouded ones.

Aya finally tagged the Hound she was attacking, having taken three other swings of her weapon before hand and taking it out with her fourth. The weapon shred straight through it's body, going through one side and out the other like a knife through butter. The two sides fell to the ground, and after a few seconds the dead body exploded into pixels. Heaving her weapon up and resting it on her shoulder, the brunette lets out a sigh of relief. Now, there was only one more on her side... which was no where in sight. Her eyes widen exponentially, turning around only to see and hear a loud gunshot, a bullet burning a clean hole through the other Hound's head. The source of the bullet was a now-in-shock Mira, who started to vomit onto the ground because of her actions. Dropping her weapon, the older teen wrapped the younger girl up in a hug once more, carrying the girl away from the exploded pixels of a now disappeared corpse and a puddle of upchucked food. She sat down, keeping the girl in her lap and head at her chest, trying to calm the girl down as she looked over the situation of the other teens.

Only to look away as the tanned teen shoved his blade straight through a Hound's skull. He's okay.

She instead checked on the other teen, and nearly stopped comforting the girl in her arms at the sight. The Hound that tried to bite him was now scratching at it's eyes, trying to dislodge some kind of dust that somehow appeared on it's face. The Thug, however, was the real pressing issue. The black haired teen had at some point swung at the Thug's head, only for the Thug to take the blow surprisingly well, and use the contact to hold the boy's pipe in place. The Thug's club was raised in order to follow through with a randomly thrown overhead swing, which would probably be followed by another few random swings if he didn't get the teen with the first hit. He was as blinded as the Hound, only difference was that he had a firm hold on the teen's pole.

Shiro growled a bit in spite of himself. This brute was a bit stronger than the other one. Doubting that he could wrest the pole from the Thug's grasp he reluctantly released the weapon in time to dodge a wild wing of the club. Knowing that he had to act fast before they recovered from whatever he had done he rushed forward, slipping behind the Thug and letting out a yelp of pain as a second swing of the club smacked into the meaty portion of his thigh before he completed the maneuver. Luckily only one nail scrapped the outside of his leg, leaving a ragged bleeding gash, very painful, but not too debilitating. In a movement born of hours of practice Shiro's arms slipped around the Thug's arms and snaked into a distinctive lock on the Thug's neck. It was one half half nelson and one half sleeper hold, technically a move he had only seen on TV but he'd done both halves of the move before so it was a simple matter.

In another moment Shiro bent down, slamming his knees into the back of his victim's knees and heaved upwards and backwards, forcibly lifting the Thug into the air and slamming it on its head, leaving Shiro in a bridge position with the Thug on top of him, the only difference between being that the Thug's head was slightly embedded into the floor. Shiro was breathing heavily as he waited for a moment for any movement. If he felt even a twitch he would twist and slam the Thug into the ground once more, reversing their current position. If even that failed to get rid of him then Shiro would continue choking the Thug until he finally gave in. Given the Thug either managed to convincing play dead or was disabled Shiro would extricate himself and re-arm himself, with the intent of finishing off the remaining blinded hound that had tried to attack him in a similar fashion to the first two. Hopefully it would drop as easily as the first.

A bright light appears behind the Enemy lines. A girl who was 5'7 ft in height and had a thin physique with pale skin, her hair was white and long, reaching halfway across her back and her bangs covered the right part of her face reaching up to the nose.
She wore an over-sized white shirt with a Arc'd end and a Dark blue jacket with a Shattered glass design, her sleeves folded and Cargo pants her Navy blue eye was glowing and she pointed both her pistols at the blinded Hound.

She held two pistols and fires at the last standing Enemy Programs, the sound of gunshots rang but the girl didnt seem to mind the ringing, she had a blank expression when firing and the Enemy Programs start turning to orange ash which flew up to the sky, the girl puts her pistols away and a light engulfs her again for a second changing her only visible eye to an Alice Blue color.

"Hm, Four players." The girl says as she turns to a more happy expression and puts both her hands in her jackets front pockets
"Two males and Two Females, and a young female at that..." The girl continues as the little girl catches her eye, she takes out her phone and lets out a sigh as she looked at it before putting it back in her pocket.

Magnus glances around as the hound turned to dust as his blade plunges into its brain. He searched for other enemy programs, hoping they were finished off. He makes his way towards his acquaintance, after only a few steps towards him, the gunshot fired off.

A blinding white light filled his eyes, a few milliseconds after the light, a splitting headache rumbled through his head causing him to stop short and grip his head. He dropped his sword as well, it hit the floor hard

Shiro waited a heartbeat and the Thug turned to pixels in his grasp, causing the pole to clatter to the ground. Shiro quickly whipped up from the ground and snatched the pole, ready to swing at the remaining hound near him- only to find that it was already vanishing in a cloud of ashes. A quick survey revealed another girl had arrived and by all indications taken care off the remaining monster things. The smallest girl was practically laying in a pile of her own vomit and being comforted by axe girl, sword-guy had dropped to the ground much like the animals would've if they hadn't turned to dust. Shiro quickly took a step towards sword-guy and awkwardly patted him on the back, "Hey sword-guy, you're all right, I'm here for ya buddy." Shiro glanced up at the big gun girl again. She seemed to know what she was doing, which was different from the rest of them. "Hey big gun girl." Obviously he couldn't refer to her as gun girl or he could be referring to the small gun girl as well, names really needed to go around. "You seem to have an idea of what's going on around here. I'm Shiro, who are you and what's going on around here?" Shiro asked politely, but somewhat forcefully.

She was definitely frightened, but immensely happy at the same time. She felt wrong, as well as so right. Her feelings were jumbled and clashing with each other, as the brunette angel petted her hair and held her close. Mira didn't want to be let go, didn't want to return to reality. Within the teen's arms, she felt as if she was home, where her family was smiling, laughing, and filling her with love. But she knew that she was not, knew that she was in a bad place that she didn't want to be. The vomit that lined the bottom of her nightdress served to outline that.

Quickly coming to a conclusion, the young pinkette gave the teen a brief hug, thankful for the embrace and love she had been given, then stepped out of the hold onto reality once more. The smell of smoke filled her nostrils as ashes flew into the sky. A man was on the ground, his sword laying next to him, the other male questioning a woman who didn't seem as welcoming as the teen she had been with. Taking a moment to steady her breath, as she did instinctively when she shot the Hound, she looks towards the gun in her hand, sighting another of the same make a few feet away, tucked within a leather holster next to a bag. The girl takes the holster and belts it around her waist, placing the first gun within it to free her hands, then takes the bag and slings it across her shoulder. She was killed, she has killed, and now she will kill to protect the one who reminds her of life. That was the new motto that ran through her head, the conclusion that she had found and had focused herself upon as she had first left the brunette teen.

She will follow it, even until another death, because she will not lose a 'life' ever again. She will be strong, and learn how to lose her fear.

Magnus blinks his eyes several times to releive himself of the blinding light, a ringing filled his ears, yet soon passed. The one who named himself shiro asked him a question, what was it? No matter, the headache has passed as well. He needed to tell him his name.

He gathered himself and brought himself to his feet, while he stood up he noticed his sword and picked that up as well. Turning towards shiro his leans slightly on his sword, a painful memory splicing its way into his head "my name is Magnus" he called after him

Aren awoke to an unfamiliar silence. Above him was an orange sky, empty except for the presence of a red sun, which floated eerily within the vast orange expanse. The boy found himself on the roof of a skyscraper of some sort, which was seemingly in perfect condition, despite the unsettling silence.

He stood up and dusted himself off with his hands, looking at a few items, which were next to him on the ground, as he did. He found a knapsack, a phone, and a pair of knives, though it seemed more appropriate to call them daggers, based on their appearance. Aren checked the phone first.

Reading through the message which was left for him, Aren began to understand his situation. His memories flooded into him, just about all of them except for how he got here, and why he came. At least he knew he wasn't dead.

Aren shoved the phone into the left pocket of his jacket, slung the knapsack over his shoulder, and picked up the daggers with caution, turning the blades over in his hands, and examining them as he did.

The utter silence was only broken by the occasional howl, or more disconcerting, gunshots. Aren decided to look over the side of the building's, to see if he could find any of the sources of these sounds. As he crept up to the edge, blades hanging in his hands, he started to hear voices, not clearly, but they were definitely voices. Upon looking down over the empty city, he saw what seemed to be 4 figures, fighting what looked like dogs and thugs. They all seemed to be holding weapons, and one of them definitely had some sort of power, blinding a thug with it, or something.

Aren immediately decided to go down there and meet these others. He even thought about possibly completing that mission. He walked to the only exit from the roof, a ramp which led down onto the next floor, which, made him realized just what this building was. Aren had woken up on top of a parking garage, completely devoid of both cars and life, except for Aren, and someone who seemed to be some distance from Aren.

After the figure in the distance, the second thing that Aren noticed was how much dust filled the air and choked him, filling his lungs more than even the air could. Aren attempted to try and make out what exactly the figure in the distance was, through the dusty haze. It looked like it was walking towards Aren, dragging something against the concrete. The loud scraping noise that this produced filled Aren's ears. It was annoying.

And then the phone began to buzz. Aren pulled it out of his pocket to see what seemed to be some sort of mission..

---
WARNING! Enemy Program Detected.
Strife Perimeter Program Engaged.

...
New Mission Received!

Defeat the Enemy Program (THUG)

Success: Your Continued Survival
Failure: Deletion

---

Aren shoved the phone back in his pocket, and looked back up at the thug, who was now running towards him with the pipe raised over his head, letting loose a blood curdling scream which unsettled Aren, causing him to stumbled backwards, before he began to run away, looking for any way to get away from this madman.

His throat burned from the dust-filled air, and his mouth tasted like dirt. This was horrible. He was probably going to die here. He kept running, feeling almost relieved when he noticed the ramp to the next floor down. Though, when he got to it, he found himself completely stopped, as if by some invisible wall. Actually, that was exactly what it was. There was some sort of force field preventing him from escaping that thug. Luckily, Aren could run fast, so he probably had at least half a second to figure out what to do. He had a pair of daggers, but he couldn't risk getting close to that monster, he would die quickly. So, Aren stood there, watching as the thug ran up to him and raised the pipe above his head, ready to strike down Aren in one blow. Aren's eyes flickered around, looking for some solution to his issues, and then, as he stared at the looming psychopath, something clicked.

"30..."

"29..."

A timer seemed to start within Aren's head, and the thug looked around, confused, as if he had misplaced his prey. Aren was standing only a few feet from this monster, and the thug could not see him. He was invisible to the thug. Aren was filled with joy, but knew that this was limited, and he may not be able to do this again. So, Aren started to run at the thug, swerving to the left as he realized that he could still hear the sound of Aren's feet crashing against the concrete.

"22..."

"21..."

Aren stopped dead in his tracks, and the thug lost his only clue to where the boy was. It was either Aren or the thug. One of them would have to die in the next 20 seconds, and Aren didn't really feel like getting his skull bashed in by some random asshole.

"20..."

"19..."

"18..."

Unbeknownst to the brute, he had turned his back to Aren, who took the opportunity to leap upon the back of the thug, and struck at the monster's throat with his daggers, making a slicing motion with each blade before kicking back away before the brute could respond to his invisible adversary. Aren attempted to catch his breath as his opponent tried to turn around, clutching his bleeding throat and stumbling to the ground instead.

"5..."

"4..."

"3..."

"2..."

"1..."

The countdown faded off into the back of Aren's mind as he watched the thug die. He gave himself a second to catch his breath before checking the phone, which had given him a notification that he had completed the mission.

Aren put his daggers on the ground for a moment, and stretched, running his hands through his hair, which had, at some point, formed itself into knots and clumps that Aren now attempted to fix. This was probably the last "normal" moment that Aren would have for a while. He considered putting his hood up, but decided to simply zip the jacket up, and leave his entire head visible. It wasn't too big of an issue. The baggy jacket draped over him formlessly, revealing nothing about the actual shape and size of his arms and torso.

He picked the blades back up, glaring at the blood which now stained each edge. Aren preferred a clean blade. The boy walked over to the corpse, and wiped the blood off of his daggers, and onto the brute's shirt. He stared at a pool of the thug's blood, which now reflected an image of an androgynous 19 year old who was the living embodiment of someone else's mistakes. Aren looked at his own face with disdain, spitting at the pool of blood before walking away. All he had to do was finish all of this, and his wish would be granted.

Aren made his way out of the dust-filled parking garage, and into the orange light of this fucked up day. He found the rag-tag group of people just as the last of the enemy programs around them were defeated.

A slight wind seemed to be blowing through as Aren walked towards them. He stopped at a decent distance. He was able to make their faces out, at least. A big guy with a sword, a big guy with a stick, a teenage girl with a massive battleaxe, a young girl, no older than 8, with a gun, and some other woman who Aren was sure appeared while he was fighting the thug. And so, the girlish boy, with wind blowing through his hair, and daggers in hand, spoke to the group.

"Hello. Seems you all had a fun little fight." The sarcasm was pretty obvious, though Aren wasn't sure why he had a smile on his face when he spoke. Other people suck, generally. When Aren heard his own voice, his mood immediately turned sour. He forgot how feminine it sounded. This day just keeps getting worse.

Aya watched the new arrival shoot the final Hound, starting to see the others regain their bearings. The young girl in her arms wiggled out of the embrace, only go hug the teen back for a brief moment then go into a certain direction, where the brunette could see the sister weapon of the young girl's. Over hearing the two male teens exchange names made the female gain a light blush of embarrassment, forgetting to ever even ask the little girl's name before swearing to protect her.

She opens her mouth to ask the pinkette, but an unfamiliar voice stopped her. "Hello. Seems like you all had a fun fight." the light, feminine voice greeted. Aya looked towards the source of the voice, finding a teen girl standing a distance away with two daggers within her belt. Ignoring the new arrival for a moment, seeing that the teen hadn't made a contribution to the fight she spoke of, the sunhat-wearing female instead got up from the ground and walked over to the young pinkette, who now was equipped with everything she had started with. "H-hi there... I never really asked for you n-name before. I'm Aya, what's yours?" The teen asked nicely, giving the smaller girl a little smile, and waiting for her response.

"And another player arrives" Shion says as she looks at the person who has just arrived, she crosses her arms as if she was waiting for something and she pulls out her phone.

Her eyes widen as she read's her phone and she walks up to the young man.
"Hello there, i see you dont have a partner." Shion says to him as she walks around him in circles and scanning him, she seemed unarmed as she looked around him and noded.
"Yep, Im picking you." she continues but, in reality it was either him or find someone else who seemed free and she didnt feel like doing the second option. She taps a few buttons on her phone and a message goes to the young man's phone

Big gun girl and Shiro both turned to face the new person who may or may not have been of either or both genders. Without a name or such it was hard to make a nickname but he quickly settled on knifey, for obvious reasons. Shiro looked at the phone big gun girl pulled out in surprise and he suddenly remembered the pact dealio. He pulled out his own phone and looked at it again, reward: small supply bag. Hey, free stuff and a buddy? Pretty good deal. He looked at sword-guy, Magnus, and hit the button that said, "send pact request". In a few moments he heard a corresponding beep from the boy's pocket, indicating that he had received the message. "Wanna team up?" He asked then turned to big gun girl again. "You never answered my question, who are you, and what's going on?"

Magnus fumbles for the phone in his pocket as it vibrates, indicating he received a message of some kind. "what?" He asked as he checked the message sent "oh, uh sure." He accepts the pact request.

Accepting the pact request could doom him, or save him. He wasn't quite sure yet. Hoping for the best, he returned the phone o his pocket and walked over to
Shiro"who's she? And him?" He gestures to the older female weilding a gun, then the male with knives.

Aren's eyes scanned the young woman as she walked towards him, saying something about picking him. Why Aren? He didn't know this girl, and he certainly didn't care enough to try and learn about her. His phone vibrated within his pocket, and he picked it out, holding both daggers with his right hand as he did this. He looked over the pact request with skeptical eyes.

He didn't immediately choose, and instead returned his attention to the woman.

"You want me to form a pact or whatever with you? Let me give you a few pieces of information first." He shoved the phone back into the pocket of his jacket, and returned the dagger to its usual place within his left hand.

"One, I don't know you." This was plain and obvious, but considering the girl's hasty actions, it seemed that Aren needed to point this out.

"Two, I don't trust you." Aren's voice had begun to sound clearly bitter and condescending, untrusting and unkind.

"Three, I don't particularly like you." His intention was not to be rude, but to be honest, that sometimes meant being a bit rude. "... Well, at least not at the moment." Aren glanced at the daggers in his hands, turning them slightly to watch as the light reflected off of them. "Anyway, I'll think about it. It's not like we have to complete this stupid quest right this second anyway, right?"

Mira couldn't believe her ears. Her angel had a name. A name to be called by. Aya. The name slipped off of her tongue, soft like a feather. The little girl would remember that name for the rest of her life. The younger female responded to the teen, but her voice was even softer than the brunette's. "...Mine is Mira," the pinkette mumbled, her answer barely being heard by the sunhat-wearing teen, her face blushing slightly as if she had just told some dirty secret. Mira walked over to the older girl, and buried her face in Aya's stomach, as if embarrassed by saying her own name aloud.

Shion looks at the young man somewhat dissapointed. But then again, being thrown into an unknown tower and following missions isnt a thing everyone would do on the get go.

"Anyone else want to partner up?" Shion said in a low tone and turns back to the young man.
"Seems like no one else wamts to, besides. Its not that bad." Shion continues as she laughs lightly
