Civilization Tier: This is tricky. Revelry has had access to FTL technology for some time, but the nation itself has expanded relatively little as per Gaia's own personal command. Deliberately keeping FTL technology out

Much of the culture in Revelry is reminiscent of 1930s, 1940s and 1950s America, though elements pertaining to the 21st century (and the later years of the Industrial Revolution) do exist.

Clothing

Traditionally, the dapper man’s apparel comprises a pair of dress slacks, an overcoat, a pair of synthetic leather shoes, and a fedora, with women equally sporting high-class garments that depict power, wealth and respect. Called high-rollers (or 'snobs' by those with less dosh than them)



Rigs



The term ‘rig’ is a catch-all classification for any type of software or hardware modification that can be installed within the inner confines of a swinger’s armature or artificial psyche. Rigs span multiple functions, are produced by numerous manufactures and and are of varying legal status, with most rigs on Revelry being illegal weapon-type adaptations based off of stolen military schematics obtain through back-door bartering with some of Gaia’s more corrupted riot wardens that take a rather keen interest in illegitimate business ventures. Specific ‘gun runner’ criminal organizations maintain wide-ranging weapons trafficking operations that are situated in the lower levels of Revelry’s internal chambers, which has—over time—given rise to the ‘city within the city’ (or the industrial heart of Revelry) commonly referred to as ‘Slough’. Slough—known for its tough citizenry and distaste for Gaia’s authority—is ruled by Gabriel Al, the ruthless leader of the Anchorage Outfit.

Revelry has no standing army, but more than 60 percent of its total population is reported to have access to at least one illegal military-grade rig, with the most common weapon-type rig being a particle-based directed energy weapon that is, fundamentally, a scale-down version of the larger and more potent PPC-II System utilized by Gaia’s riot wardens.

Some non-lethal rigs are still considered contraband by President Gaia. ‘Mind-Meld’ technology and related is one such non-lethal rig that allows swingers to

Counties

Counties (or boroughs as they are sometimes called) are administrative areas and cities situated within one of Revelry’s four districts. These districts, known as the Four Corners of the Earth (or FCE), encompass the districts of New York, Illinois, Michigan and Hawaii, with each district home to roughly five-hundred million swingers of assorted classes, models and backgrounds. The districts of New York and Illinois lie within Revelry’s leftmost hemisphere while Michigan and Hawaii lie in its right. Although Gaia technically rules over Revelry, each district is governed by a Lord Marshal, an individual swinger of elevated prestige and class chosen by Gaia herself to act as her main arm and voice within that specific location.

Lord Marshals are given full access to Gaia’s small security force of riot wardens, which permits them to carry out punishments for infractions against the laws set forth by Gaia herself. Aided by a cabinet or council of legislative officials, Gaia’s Lord Marshalls are akin to a more primitive version of the Old World’s ‘United States President’, although this designation conflicts with Gaia’s own position as Revelry’s commander-in-chief and pseudo-leader.

The Bronx: The Bronx is the largest county within the district of New York and—like the unofficial city of Slough—retains a relatively high crime rate, with most of these heinous acts taking root within the Gateway Center, a massive dome-shaped building that acts as a hub point for the purchasing of legal rigs, replacement parts and the acquiring of adequate (if not temporary) living space. The Gateway Center is accessed by way of the Whitestone Bridge, a two-way teleportation device that allows incoming and outgoing freight craft, citizens, workers, and riot wardens to traverse between the greater whole of Revelry's

I wouldn't mind, not at all.I'd say the Crayvens would probably belittle and infantilize the Graals a lot, not seeing them as a menace or an enemy but rather simply as 'People who do not understand' the universal truth of peace they hold. While they'd probably do everything in their power to avoid war I think there could have been an encounter with the 6 million war veterans that will gladly go to war on every occasion. So while the Crayvens are a race of pansies, I'd say this combined with the stories they tell about Zuhlo and the Great War they'd realize that they are not an enemy to be underestimated non the less. Weather this traduces to efforts for peace or preparation of a large scale surprise attack is up to you.

I know how I'm playing it is giving them a tech capability roughly the same as modern day, maybe 2030ish at the latest is my plan.

I was hoping to make my civ more advanced than today, but not by much. It would be between Tier 5 and Tier 4. Can travel about and colonise but not very quickly and it uses up a lot of resources.

That seems fair. I just have a certain vision I have in mind. Glad to see I'm not the only Tier 5, though!

Yes. About at the rate we ourselves could today.

That is to say, so slowly that you shouldn't even bother trying.

The Graal Confederacy, Allied Remnants of Relia, and the Collected States of Erephim have been accepted to the galactic plane.

Currently having troubles getting Universe Sandbox to properly save galaxies, so if it doesn't resolve itself soon I'll simply switch to a 2D representation.

Right so I am writing up human history. I am not sure what the current date of the RP is concerning human history, so I am just going to throw around the century as 27th or 28th to give humanity some time to actually expand and populate planets far away from Earth.

-2088 CE: World War Three ends in a stalemate. Governments of the world highly 'encourage' another baby boom to restart the gutted global economy. The war see's very little gain for any of the warring powers.
-2089 CE: The Economic Union's of the world desperately search for any and all oil sources, starting many wars with smaller powers lying ontop of oil reserves. Alternative energy businesses have a huge rise in interest and profits.
-2093 CE: Scientists warn of an imminent Malthusian Catastrophe, mostly ignored by the rest of the scientific community due to lack of substanstial evidence and recent war killing over a hundred million people.
-2094 CE: The South American Energy Union(SAEU) is formed.
-2099 CE: World population returns to its pre-war state of 7.5 billion in just 21 years.

----22nd Century (Nickname: The Intermidate Era)
-2104 CE: AI reaches monkey level intelligence.
-2105 CE: The civilian robot revolution begins. Due to the last century seeing robots monopolized by the military industrial complex of the world for the third world war, civilian robotics has suffered. With news that robot intelligence has increased, civil society becomes more interested in robots globally (Not just Japan,, which is in fact still under martial law and emergency population growth laws to regain lost population from WW3).
-2107 CE: Anti-robot global protests polarize popular opinion of robots in households.
-2109 CE: Scientists warn of the impending Technological Singularity. This is brushed off like the Malthusian Catastrophe warning. Robotics development, production and innovation skyrockets.
-2110 CE: The focus on robotics leaves developments in bioengineering mostly ignored, and the possibility of true bio-engineered transhuman's become's feasible without any actual civilian interest found. Likewise, the mass protests ignore the transhuman threat to human conservation, focusing solely on robots.
-2113 CE: China annexes what is left of the former Democratic People's Republic of Korea, now a divided collection of warlords leftover from the third world war.
-2115 CE: China annexes what is left of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. it reforms into the East-Asian Prosperity Union(EAPU), following Eurasia, NAEU and the SAEU. Its actions alarm India, who attempts to form an alliance with the NAEU but is ignored.
-2116 CE: the EAPU and India combined are closing in on representing nearly half of the worlds population, now at 7.7 billion despite the decline of population in Japan, Eurasia and the EU.
-2122 CE: Mineral resources of Earth are slowly being depleted. The major economic unions make a deal to divide resource-rich Africa amongst them.
-2130 CE: The Second Scramble for Africa occurs, the NAEU, EAPU, Eurasian Union, European Union(Desperate and near dead), India and even the SAEU form an alliance of convenience to invade all African countries at the same time. The African nations desperately unite under the otherwise powerless African Union.
2131-4 CE: Global protests are silenced. Freedom of movement and speech gradually disappears until the concepts are all but forgotten in most states. Europe and India stand as the remaining worlds democratic governments (The few African democratic nations are not included as they are being annexed)
-2135 CE: Morocco and Tunisia is secured by the EU, Eurasia and its current Egyptian ally move forces into Sudan and Libya, the EAPU uses its influence's in East Africa to simply annex the coastline and then invade. India and the SAEU get marginal gains and soon after leave the alliance of convenience. NAEU lands in South Africa and after a bloody battle moves north. All resources that were not already benefiting the current occupying nations are taken.
-2137 CE: The conventional war during the Second Scramble For Africa ends, the African Union is destroyed and the continent is divided between the major economic unions. Though the vast mineral deposits of Africa deal (in the short term) with the resource crisis, the African people continue a guerrilla war for centuries to come, the fiercest guerrilla campaigns rage on for the first thirty years.
-2138 CE: Unsatisfied with their meagre gains, India and the SAEU form their own alliance.
-2145 CE: The Alliance of Convenience ends when a remarkable reserve of oil is found in Central Asia.
-2146 CE: Publicly to improve relations and friendly trade between the EAPU and NAEU but in actuality to counter Eurasia's claim to the oil, the EAPU and NAEU form a "Trans-Pacific Alliance".
-2147 CE: In the struggle to gain the precious resource, the long-standing Eurasian-EAPU(And previously Chinese) alliance ends.
-2149 CE: Border conflicts are fought between Indian,Eurasian and EAPU forces around the flashpoint.
-2151 CE: Two years since the first border conflict, The Fourth World War begins between the Eurasian Union, NAEU-EAPU Trans-Pacific Alliance and the India-SAEU as a third belligerent. Later nicknamed "That Meaningless Three-Way Resource War"
-2154 CE: After three years of global fighting across Asia, Africa, the Middle East and both of the America's, the warring powers agree to a mutually defined warzone around the flashpoint, designing the conflicts rules after those loosely set during the 20th centuries Korean War.
-2155 CE: Global conflict ends, marking the end of the Fourth World War. the warring powers would remain technically at war over the resource rich area for the next century (marking the beginning of the Economic War Century)
-2157 CE: The Economic War expands, with the warring powers agreeing to add certain small sections of disputed Africa into the area's where they may wage war.
-2159 CE: The Military-Industrial Complex of all Economic Union's enters a near permanent economic boom as this new political atmosphere of managed, business-driven and perpetual war sets in.
-2166 CE: The European Union after struggling so long from internal issues finally collapses. Some parts of Europe reform into their original states while other states are eaten up by the Eurasian Union (Which reforms into the Trans-Eurasian Economic Union, or TEEU).
-2172 CE: Europe is divided between TEEU's and NAEU's sphere's of influence.
-2173 CE: A year after independent Europe's final demise, India reforms into the Near-Orient Economic Sphere(NOES). The last democracy on Earth ends.
-2174 CE: The Fifth World War begins, completely ignored by the general populace of the world(except those being directly affected by it), it is a free-for-all conflict completely controlled and agreed with by all warring Economic Unions over the worlds remaining resources. All Economic Union's are simultaneously allies, trade partners, enemies, trade rivals, at peace and at war. Battles are regulated, death tolls set to remain within what is called "Causality Budgets" and costs and profits are regulated so that all warring factions (Theoretically) gain mutual economic benefit (Though they obviously attempt to gain more than the others).
-2177 CE: The greatest breakthrough in robotics/AI is made in human history. The Technological Singularity is passed and mankind creates an AI more intelligent than a human. This sentient AI however is immediately terminated by the NAEU and all Robotics technology from then on regulated.
-2179 CE: With their rule complete and enforced by vast armies of unthinking drones, some Economic Union's (NAEU, SAEU, European Vassals, NOES, Japan, a vassal of the NAEU) soften laws on free speech.
-2194 CE: The "Stargazer904" Internet personality becomes extremely popular through the Internet, famous for somehow gaining a popular following concerning restarting interest in space. The "Gazers" eventually hold numbers from hundreds of millions to (Though claimed by detractors as blatant exaggerations) billions.

----23rd Century (Nickname: The Space Age/The Gazer Era)
-2200 CE: By the beginning of the new century, Stargazer904 uploaded the "Space Manifesto" into the Internet, which became a call for humanity to immediately restart the abandoned space program and colonize space or witness the extinction of humanity within the next 60 years. Stargazer904 was located and arrested by a joint NAEU/TEEU operation in the economic-dependency of Britain(E.D.B) and jailed for inciting dissent and fearmongering.
-Stargazer became a martyr, almost messianic figure (Nicknamed Space Jesus by the common people from then on). Dissent on the Internet rose sharply while exploiting the softened free speech laws. Questions were asked why the Economic Union's merely allowed this to happen, however no answer was given. Massive popular support for space projects increased and civilian and private ventures were now stronger and vastly more supported than in the previous centuries.
-2201-2220 CE: The Economic Union's merely sat back and allowed civilian and private non-ruling corporations to fund the cripplingly expensive space program. The first self-sustained colonies were established on the moon and mar's in this time. Conspiracy Theorists would later claim that this was all part of the plan.

I dunno quite how the distances will work out, but if the Prosperity Sphere ends up being too close the CSoE will probably be devoting a chunk of resources towards throwing waves of cheaply-equipped soldiers at the bots. Maybe have a human cloning program going on to take advantage of their programming; that'd be suitably "grey" of the Nera.
