Nikki laid her head back and held onto the bed til her knuckles were so white there was little to no blood in her fingers. The pain of the needle and alcohol diving into her brutally torn flesh was horrific. She did her best not to cry. Nikki didn't utter a sound but she couldn't hold back the tears. She pulled a twizzler out of her pocket and bit through it. "How many stitches, nevermind, I don't want to know? I know it's a big cut."

Nikki's hands were shaking from the blood loss. This was going to take a few days to recover from, mostly from the blood loss. She was likely to run short on energy and sleep a lot. When Nic finished Nikki was passed out from the pain. She is an incredibly brave girl when it comes to pain and that was obvious to those that happened to walk by and see. Her shirt is torn half up her side and a large 7 inch gash was now sewn up. Her entire side and her jeans were covered in blood on one leg. She was a mess but her trench coat was safe it was laying next to her, she was covering up with it.

He quickly followed when he heard some yell for help. He saw Nikki, practically soaked up with her own blood it seems. "See? This is why you should leave it to Nick to do something risky alone." He pointed out before Eliza started speaking, a well hidden firearm already in her hand. Before he could say anything, Kyre and Nick had entered the building. "This is Eliza." Alex said, to introduce the newcomer. His left hand was on his bat with the other end resting on the ground making it some sort of makeshift cane. His right hand inside his pocket. "Newcomer but was a student here at St. Walkers. Guess she'll be sticking around." He then looked at Eliza. "Doesn't hurt to be cautious, I know, but you could at least wait for her partner to show up. Scavengers don't usually travel alone, except for Nick here, but still." He said, trying to get her to get used to how they work around here.

He then went towards the car. Supplies. That was good. That was really good. "I'll bring this to the storage... but what are these?" He asked. It was in a package and he didn't want to open it yet. He looked at Nick and Nikki, hopefully, they hadn't gone out yet.

Eliza squinted her eyes at the girl as she slowly put her gun back to its holster before taking a few steps from the others. As Alex introduced her, she managed to ignore most of the things that himself and the others said. Eliza rolled her eyes before turning around to walk away from the others as she went to the cafeteria where her sand-which was waiting for her. As the others were doing their jobs, since Eliza didn't have any and she wasn't really planning to stick around for a bit, so she just sat on the table and continued to eat her meal while thinking of a few things. Not many people could be trusted in this world, her shoulders are guarded up just in-case one of them decided to attack. "Can't be to careful now can you?" she'd say to herself while raising a leg on-top of the other, taking another bite of her meal.

It was some time later that Nikki woke up. All she could smell was the irony scent of blood. She raised her head and her side pulled and she hissed as she gritted her teeth and tried to stay quiet. Nic had put in a few internal stitches as well as the ones visible on the outside.

She was going to be sore for a while. The blood had stopped and there appeared to be no infection, thankfully. She managed to climb out of the bed and very carefully get back to the room she had been staying in and got some clean clothes. She then limped her way into the girls locker room and took a shower. She saw how big the gash had been in the mirror and she said, "Oh now that's gonna leave a mark." Of course her sword and trench were nearby in case anyone bothered her.

It took all that she had to get cleaned up and dressed. She had to lean against the wall in the locker room to brush her hair out. She grabbed the Twizzlers out of her pocket and started eating. She knew she needed to eat in order to heal. She made her way back to the bed she had been laying on and lay down for another nap.

While she lay there she realized that Nic had saved her life.

A knock on the door came before a loud, "Good afternoon," and Nic entered the room. He had a knife in one hand that he was idly toying with, and a plate of cooked venison roast. He eyed the Twizzler in Nikki's hand. "Yeah, no. Candy isn't going to do you much good. You want your blood back? Eat some meat."

He set the plate on a table next to Nikki, before pulling a chair. "So, how you feeling, firecracker?"

Nikki smiled when he came in. Nic would have seen that she had gotten up and taken a shower. She was now clean and her hair was wet. Her stitches were holding well and there was not really much blood coming from the wound. "Firecracker? Yeah I suppose I am. I'm alive thanks to you." She sat up slowly and took the plate.

"And I heard Alex say only you should go out alone. I need to kick him for that. I'm glad I was there, it only takes one thing to go wrong to cost a life. Besides, and don't tell anyone this part, it's a good stress reliever too." She moved a little and a sharp pain made her suck in her breath.

"Ouch" She chuckled a little. "Everyone is so worried about the walkers getting them and here I nearly get taken out by a broken window." She laughed. Nikki smirked and took another bite. "So we got a good haul didn't we? Food, guns, ammo,and tons of other stuff. Between the ritzy neighborhood and the pen we should be good for a while. Don't you think?"

Nikki looked at the meat and she hadn't realized how hungry she was. After eating her fill she was feeling tons better and she smiled and licked her lips. "So my handsome hero what daredevil antics are you up to now?" She said knowing that it would embarrass him a little.

Alexander just took the box towards the supply room without knowing what was inside. It was either guns or something else. He just couldn't guess what they would find inside a penitentiary. It had been pretty hectic lately. Well at least they all managed to get something pretty interesting. Come to think of it, Moses was still out there. Wonder what gold mine he managed to dig up. Ah well, he just had to wait for what would appear when they got back. He really hoped it was guns though. Alex was one of the few people there who didn't have a firearm in his pocket. Quite sad that his only weapon was a metal bat that could break any time but that was how all weapons work.

He then walked back towards the kitchen to where Eliza was. He waved at the girl, took a chair and then sat down near her. He looked moderately tired. Well technically, he didn't really have a legit rest yet ever since he went out and that scavenge hunt really did a number on him. Lunging back gas cans really wasn't ideal for only one person. "Sooo... why didn't you come to the school ever since the beginning? Most students got the idea that this was the safest place around." He asked, curious about what she was doing up 'till now.

"Ok, Kyle stay close. im not gonna wait around for you if you slow me down" Jess said climbing the fence she took of rather quick. She had her katana if things got bad and her pistol incase they fucked up. She got out her Radio again to speak to Moses "Sorry for the Delay some shit went down at school. On our way to you know, she be there in about 5 minutes". Soon she had made it to the Subdivision where Moses was. She entered through the front door and called out for Moses "Hey, Hey Moses you in here"

Moses tossed his last piece of jerky down to the dog. "Thats all I got so stop with the begging." He picked up a couple of bags he had filled with as much of the food he could put in them. Just as the dog began to scarf the jerky down, Jess' voice rang out from upstairs. He set his axe down so he could get better hold of the bags and ran up from the basement, the dog following not far behind. "Here I am. What took you so long?" He asked with jokingly. "I'm kidding. Hurry up though, your going to lose your damn mind when you see all the stuff down there!" Finding all this stuff still had him excited like a kid in a candy store.

"Sorry, some shit went off back at school." she headed down to where Moses had just emerged from. "HOLY SHITBALLS! You werent kidding when you said there was some good stuff. Ok ok, we still gotta move this stuff. of best bet is to put most of it in the Packs, weapons we could probably just sling on our shoulders. what were gonna have a problem with, is the Gasoline. thats a two man job. Ok, me and you will carry it while Kyle here keeps us covered"

"I know right!" Moses beamed excitedly. "Anyway, I already loaded as much as I could into my pack plus a couple others I found in the kitchen and the one I found down here." He pointed to the bags he had filled in the corner and the ones slung on his shoulder. "Still just the three of us aren't going to be able to carry all this stuff on foot and we'll be useless if we run into trouble if we do. Luckily I already packed up and left one of the trucks Nikki found here about a block over and there still some more over there she found keys for." He fumbled around his pockets removing a couple extra sets of keys. "That way we won't have to walk all this stuff home. I'd rather not have to dodge walkers while carrying a bunch of gear." He set the bags down and stood to hold up a side of the oil drum. "Lucky you get to help bring all this stuff home new guy, it'll definitely up your cred that's for sure." He joked to Kyle.

Eliza looked down at her sandwhich with a frown as she turned her head slightly over to those who was walking to the cafeteria. In her mind, she didn't belong there with all of them just because they were all buddies while she was just an outside. Just by how they all attacked her vocally earlier on when all she did was protect herself against their friend, Eliza was being careful. As she was about to walk away, Alex grabbed a chair and sat besides her, she offered him a smile while running her fingers through her hair before speaking to him in a calmly tone of voice. "I just thought no one would have been here. It's a school hah. But I don't think I belong here... So I should be having my leave soon enough. Thank you for being a good person to me, baseball guy."

Her reply seemed to have shocked the baseball player. "You're not gonna stay? I'm sure Moses would appreciate another person." Alex said. He was pretty sad that she would leave already. It would be one less person to help out and they would be forced to become a lone wolf. And lone wolves tend to have a higher risk of dying that those in groups. But then again big groups do have that high risk of being beaten too. Whatever.

"But if you really don't want to stay, then I can't force you now can I?" He said before leaning back on his chair. "For how long will you stay though?" He asked. He made a mental notice to tell Moses about Eliza. Who knows how he'll react.

"Yeah but you know, I really don't know what else to do if people going to be attacking the new girl. I been bullied many times back in high-school and I am not going to be pushed around here. I was just protecting myself against the girl that was hurt. How else was I suppose to react? This world has changed and the people -literally- change into a flesh-eating walker so yes, I took out my gun and I pointed it at her for my own protection. Do I feel sorry? Yes, Do I feel bad? yes, do I feel like I should have done something else and check her to see for wounds? maybe but I surely wasn't going to stand there unprotected." Eliza blurted it out towards Alex as she crossed her arms over her chest to stare at him with a frown. As he spoke, she heard the name of Moses, Moses was her freshman year crush but he never had noticed her before. Of-course she got nervous when he brought the name up but those years and her feelings have changed, maybe. She walked over to Alex as she sat down besides him while raising a leg on-top of the other, Eliza spoke;

"Fine... I can stay... I mean...I get scared easily and being out there in the dark isn't really my thing... So you do know we can't stay here forever right? We have to do something. And where is Moses?" she asked curiously while twirling a string of her hair.

"Well what are we waiting for Lets get this shit in the car and lets get back to school, God i never thought id hear myself say those words." She said starting to pack the canned food into her pack, once she'd filled it she began to start slinging the guns onto her back. Shotguns, Hunting rifles, there was even a single civilian issue AR-15 in there. Moses surely had hit the mother load on this one. "Shit dude, you actually take note of some of these guns. They're actually top of the line Civilian issue guns. not just your average hill billy 'im gon go huntin wabbits' gun but like 'I'm gonna go and rob a bank' gun. Fuck theres ammo to fucking spare as well. Your a Saint i swear to god"

Kyle had aided in the loading of items. He stayed silent, not wanting to seem invaluable or a waste of space. He knew he'd have to earn the trust of everyone, and this was an opportunity to do so. His ankle was still bothering him as he knew the wound was pretty serious. He then grabbed his bandana that hung from his back pocket, wrapping it around his ankle as a makeshift ankle brace. After this, he used his baseball bat as a substitute for a cane, still helping with loading up the items.

"Those were natural reactions. I mean in a world like this, I guess. They'll come to trust you eventually you know, just like how we all began to trust each other." Alex pointed out. Sure, her reaction earlier might create some conflicts but that was just normal. Everybody's on edge because they won't know who's bit or who's to be trusted. That's just how life was now and no matter how many times they wished it would come back, it just wouldn't. Quite a harsh truth really. "We're planning on moving as soon as the buildings around us lose supplies. We're car hunting too and we really have a lot of cars right now. It's only a matter of time before we ride out of this place."

And she changed her mind. "Moses? He's out there scavenging. He should be coming back soon." He replied. "Er, I suggest you talk to him once he comes back. You're a new member after all." He suggested. In truth, Alex wasn't at all sure on what one should do when they enter but talking with the leader seemed to be a must. He was the first one here back then so he naturally came to talk with the survivors who went through the gates. Ah well, Moses would be more than happy to talk anyway.

Moses cracked a grin at Jess' saint comment. "Oh y'know it comes with the name. Maybe I'll actual ly part a sea one day." He joked as he loaded the rest of the guns and ammo which just so happened to include a lot of hamdguns and revolvers into bags. As he reached into the cabinet to pull out another gun he removed a Beneli M4 and he beamed like a child again. "Oh I am definitely calling dibs on you!" He fastmed the shotgun onto himself with its sling and proceeded to grab as many of the bags as he could carry and headed back up the stairs "Alright let's grab as much as we can carry. Whatever we can't we'll loop back around for once we get the cars."

Eliza stared at the ground for a second before standing up to face Alex, the baseball player. She decided to walk around the school, just to see how it was through-out the years and where her old classrooms were at. "I'm going to go explore around a bit. I'll see you later, baseball guy." she'd say with a smile and a friendly wave before turning around and walking down the hall, she was walking normally so it was possible for someone to catch up to her if need be.

Alex looked at her as she stood up and claimed that she'd be looking around. He gave a nod as a reply before walking towards the table. He then sat down, crossed his arms and then placed his head on it. Soon enough, he was asleep. Probably fatigue finally catching up to him. He was a light sleeper though so even the slightest sound around him would rouse him up. Until then though, he's asleep and dreaming about a time long past.
