Okay, CS was moved to Characters tab as it was.

Something that came to my mind when already talking about mounts is that a horse could groan noticeably with him in the saddle, esp. with his armor on. Might that be a problem ?

@FetzenOnce we get horses it might be a problem, but we'll need to stabilize the fort's supplies first so that they can support a horse.

So I assume that's nothing to really worry about now. However should I do a bit of research on this topic and inform you about the results just in case it comes out that I should tweak the character a bit as long as its easily possible ?

@FetzenA strong horse shouldn't have any trouble carrying a person in armor, but you can look into if you want.

So long as he doesn't weigh significantly more than a normal person, a horse should have no problem carrying him, even if he's wearing armor. Medieval heavy cavalry had their horses wear armor at times in addition to carrying an armored rider

@TaliPaendrag Thanks for the helpful posting. Given Agmundr's current physical description as being very tall and no less bulky I think it can be assumed that he actually does weigh a lot more than an average person. However what about him simply taking off the stuff before he mounts ? Would solve the problem and it should be doable quite fast since his type of armor is not sophisticated. If there should occur a situation that doesnt allow for this, he can probably just go on with it and take the penalty of overburdening his horse (being slower, drained more quickly or sth.). I'd perfectly agree with adding that as a minor weakness to his CS, as it seems to be a logical consequence. @TheUnknowable

Haha now that the horse question has been fully settled - are we going to start this up soon? Or are we waiting for a couple more people to join?

@TheUnknowable

This has piqued my interest as i've been meaning to join something that's more in line with the traditional D&D type role-plays. I want to make a Ranger based character but before doing so I just wanted to ask if animal companions would be allowed, provided of course I didn't go with something insanely broken like dragons or anything such as that.

@MonsieurShadeThe fort has a shortage of food right now, so they wouldn't want to let you bring it with you. They don't even have horses at the moment, though once some trade has happened it may be possible, as the natives could sell them food for more valuable trade goods the Empire could ship in.
I was actually thinking of being a Shaman at first, but I thought it would be more realistic for them to have a food shortage (many settlements in the early American colonies had food shortages) than to have animals, so I figured that would fit the situation better.

That's understandable, I was hoping to have something that could get by on little food due to a low metabolism such as a snake or monitor lizard, but I can definitely work that out as being a later down the road sort of deal. Assuming you'd approve it that is.

@MonsieurShadeOk, you could pick up a pet/partner on the new continent if you want to. Not sure how useful something like that would be unless you have the ability to speak with it.

@TheUnknowable Quick question, I have about a third of a character completed but before I proceed there is something I would like to clarify. Are we using stuff like dice rolls and what-not or no? I'll have to drop out if the former is the case.

@FetzenMy character was actually talking to @TaliPaendrag and @EurmalEye 's characters, as I assumed we had spoken on the ship, but given how my character's a bit of a geek, I'll just say he never bothered to introduce himself to you on the journey.

@TheUnknowable So I managed to screw up in record time it seems. Sorry for that. The post was ambiguous for me since there are a lot of new people if you don't make that assumption. Should I edit the last bit of my post so that Agmundr doesn't direct his words to your character anymore ?
