Thousands of years before the rise of the Galactic Empire, the Galaxy was different from what we know it to be today. Yet, in some ways, it was similar. Constant warring between the light and the dark, each trying to extinguish the other. A never-ending battle for control over the galaxy. Conquest for the distant reaches of the galaxy, for planets unknown. Yet, something was very different back then. Perhaps it is best summarized with one word, or rather, a name:
Revan.
"They are destroying planets! Destroying our own Jedi! We have to stop them!"
"Is it justice you seek? Or perhaps revenge?"
"Does it matter? We have to fight them off! If we lend our help to the Republic the war would be over!"
"Have you forgotten the nature of the Jedi, Revan? We are to be peacekeepers, not warriors."

This RP will attempt to tie in aspects of the Legends portion of the Star Wars Universe back to the new Canon in a way that will help make sense of certain aspects (namely, the use of Malachor in the Season 2 Finale of Star Wars: Rebels). In fact, that episode and its relation to Knights of the Old Republic II is what inspired this RP, as the Sith Temple from said episode bears similarities to the Trayus Academy, the use of a superweapon and the destruction it caused draws parallels to the Mass Shadow Generator, and the first name I thought when I heard the voice from that holocron was "Kreia".
I realize Filoni advised fans to not try drawing too many parallels, but they're too abundant to count. I also heard a rumor that he hadn't set in stone who the voice and author of the holocron was yet because he had to make sure his crew was "cool with it". I'm hoping for this to possibly be Kreia, but whether it is or isn't won't really break my heart (though she does fit the bill as a powerful, manipulative woman lol).
That aside, I am looking to essentially rewrite the events of the Mandalorian Wars from Legends to better match with the Canon version of the Great Scourge of Malachor. While what we do here won't actually become Canon, it will hopefully serve to fill in some of the blanks, per se.
Largely, we will be RPing as various Jedi who follow the leadership of the rogue Jedi Revan as he leads his "Jedi Templar" into war with the Sith and the Mandalorians (whom have essentially become puppets for the Sith Empire). We will fight through many battles from Revan's joining the war, and sometimes some of the calmer moments between, all leading up to what will go down in history as the Great Scourge of Malachor.
While crossguard sabers (in the style of Kylo Ren) may not be abundant at the start, I'm thinking such may become available partway through as a style of lightsaber developed to contend with the combined forces of the Mandalorians and the Sith.
I realize there are likely to be many questions, however, I can only answer so many before I begin to spoil too much of the plot in this RP, and I can't exactly answer them all in this opening post, but I hope I can garner some interest from various fans of the series, whether new or old.
Note that this will have been the first RP I've run in ages (literally, at least a year), so I may be a bit rusty on the running of things, but hey, the main thing is having fun.
