Lily and Brent

@Ninian @Light Lord
Lily soon finished her food as well, and she joined Brent as he sat down at the table with the boy named Devon and the older man who had yet to name himself. "A Shaymin did that? I never heard that legend before... oh, my name's Lily, nice to meet you! And yes, I grew up in Goldenrod City, I just got here yesterday. My mom became a Gym Leader here in Viore, so we moved out here too." Brent then spoke up. "My name's Brent. I've lived here in Viore my whole life, I only have Cyndaquil because of my brother, Mitchell. He's travelling through Johto himself, he's a Pokemon Breeder. He sent me an egg for my tenth birthday and it turned out to be Cyndaquil."

While they were talking, Shaymin was now circling the Lucario in the air. <Yeah, she pretty much saved my life yesterday! And... apparently we're part of some kind of destiny thing, I don't really get it myself, but it sounds cool!>

"Hey, wait, you're from Johto too? Where did you live? New Bark? Ecruteak? Blackthorn?" Brent was engaging in conversation with the older man. "I have to say, you don't seem the traveling type from first looks, you look more like someone who stands at the front of a classroom or something, Mr... I don't think I caught your name."

Devon

[Route 701 Pokémon Center]

Devon pushed his plate to the side to rest his crossed arms at the table once the other Trainer's sat down and gave their introductions. The brown haired teen dressed in dark blue gave a nod and smile to them both. "Lily and Brent huh? I'm Devon. And your brother bred your Cyndaquil Brent? That's pretty cool. Fire-types are apparently hard to breed, so your brother must be pretty good at his job."

Devon then got distracted by the Shaymin currently orbiting Shinon's head, the boy still in awe at such a rare Pokémon being right there before his eyes. Lily's question to him finally broke his focus, and caused him to look over at the girl with a grin. "Actually, I'm from Goldenrod too! Sorta. I live with my Mom there for half of every year, then I move in with my Dad in Hearthome City for the rest of it. You ever been to Hearthome Lily?"

'Rook' Vaahn

@SleepingSilence
@Sketcher
@Shiny Keldeo

After a long while of some much needed R&R Vaahn and his team felt fully restored and ready to tackle any daily duties. He checked for the others to see if they still remained, yet decided to leave a note for them that he was going out for a while and would be back later. He felt that it was time to check in with hq and see how their plans were proceeding, he also had to report what he had found out about Brooks so far. He gathered his things and nodded to his Raicu and Sylveon as he sat out for the forest nearby town, it didn't take long to reach it yet he wandered into it for a while and made sure he were alone before sending Rico to a nearby tree to pick berries and keep a look out.

He sent Twix to do the same from the ground and then once he was certain that none other were around he pulled out his pokégear and called Lancer. Once it connected he glanced around one final time before he responded "'Rook' Reporting in... I'm Currently in Vertigo city, I've got no news about the 'Two Rangers so far', but I met this kid called Brook's on the way here. The same one who battled the grunts in the woods, he used a Feraligator who could mega evolve 'insert general description of looks, age etc'. And it seemed he protected some kids and a... Shamin, I cannot confirm if this is correct. But I've got little reason to doubt his words about it. I've sent Ishaala home as she obtained some heat during the op, and replaced her with my old friend Rico. And that would summarize my report" he said before waiting for Lancer to respond.

Pent
Shinon the Lucario, Aenir the Froslass, Jill the Skarmory
[Route 701 - Pokémon Center]

@Shiny Keldeo@Light Lord
Shinon's gaze was now fixed upon the flying Pokémon, his brows furrowed as he tried to determine how it was actually capable of such a thing. Its ears were about all it could figure. Finally, Shinon spoke to the Shaymin, <Saved your life...? I see. Well, I cannot say I know anything about what you may be destined for, though I can say your aura is unlike anything I've seen before. That may have something to do with it.>

Brent's words were almost a kick to the shins. Pent's eyes widened as his face flushed a bright red. "I-Is... is it really that obvious!?" Hanging his head, he let out a dejected sigh before recovering his composure. "...Y-You're right. I am Pent Faraday, and I am a professor at Lumiose University."

Pent likely would have interjected into the current conversation if he weren't so dispirited. Noticing his change in attitude, Shinon nudged him. It is true, is it not? You are not accustomed to traveling anymore. It shouldn't be surprising that they noticed.

Xavier

Xavier spent several minutes waiting for Greed to show up. Wondering where he was, guessing maybe he was hiding again. While looking outside the window for some time, until he was given a rather obvious clue. As Greed's pokeball suddenly flew up into the air hovering over his bag briefly. Greed was able to tell he was being searched for, deciding to show exactly where he was so Xavier would no longer worry about him. As Xavier looked and walked over noticing it floating, before dropping back into his bag. As Greed remained silent, still feeling miserable after what occurred the night before.

“Man, he must be really upset over what he did back at the museum. Damn, now I feel guilty about this...if I didn't go in the first place he wouldn't be like this.” Xavier thought, concerned knowing how seldom Greed had actually stayed inside his pokeball voluntary. Even when he's ordered to stay there, it's still a very slim possibility he'll stay there for very long. Deciding not to ask any questions, He went to grab all his pokemon. Putting them into his jacket pocket, figuring they were hungry and could use some breakfast and afterward train or play in the fields nearby the city, maybe battle against trainer. Despite his rather bad experience last night, he wouldn't let that stop him from enjoying his time in Vertigo City, concluding since he just arrived last night, might as well stay for a little while longer and enjoy the scenery before moving on.

After making the bed and fixing his hair, Xavier headed outside the door, with all his stuff. Not taking him very long after going outside to locate and head inside a restaurant, simply because it smelled good just walking by the place. Ordering something for himself and his pokemon, to go. Wanting to head to the field before it got too crowded. Handing the money over, waiting as he was smiling politely. Happy that is seemed like it was nice day outside, while trying to not worry too much about Greed. Figuring if it was important, Greed would tell him about it. Casually standing around until he was handed a brown paper bag with the food inside. Leaving the restaurant and running outside the city going to the fields.

@Light Lord @Ninian @Shiny Keldeo

Sirina stirred, rubbing her eyes and making a small noise as she stretched, yawning widely. She was up a bit later than usual this morning.. she must have been more tired than she had expected. She sat up in bed, staring at the mirror across the room, which showed her hair was a massive mess of tangles. Great. She laughed as she saw the front of her hair, which looked rather like someone had run it over with a steam roller.

She glanced over to her wheelchair which was waiting beside her bed, close enough she would be easily able to lower herself into it. She lifted herself from the bed using her arms, scooting over to lower herself into the chair.

Nana's ears flicked as soon as she had heard her trainer get up, and raised her head, wiggling her tail happily as she watched her trainer get up. She nudged Spud, waking the Quagsire, who yawned blearily before toddling over to her side. He followed her into the bathroom, where Nana did not dare to tread. As a fire type she was not really okay with getting her fur wet. Spud could handle this for now.

Sirina had Spud help her get showered, dressed and ready, laughing as he squirted her once or twice with lukewarm water. She finished drying her hair and body and got dressed, going back to her wheelchair and making sure she had everything in her backpack. Right.. good.. all set. She wheeled her chair out of the bathroom, stopping next to Nana and applying her break so she could bury her face in the creature's fur, her hands weaving through the fluff as she took in the familiar comforting scent of her fire type.

Meanwhile, Tamaki had just gotten up and was rolling around on the ground playing with a ball of lint in the corner of the room.

"Morning sweetheart." she murmured, scratching the dog behind the ears.

Nana just wiggled her tail as she received her morning scratches, right where she was most itchy. Sirina always made sure to do this every morning. At first, Nana had been really confused about these interactions.. but after a while she started looking forwards to them.

After shoveling down some breakfast, Sirina made her way out to the main room of the Pokemon Center, where she heard voices talking to each other. Of course.. there was Pent and Devon.. and then two more voices she didn't know. She rolled towards the group, a gentle smile on her face.

"Morning Devon, Pent." She stated, glancing towards the two younger children, a soft expression crossed her face. "Hi. I'm Sirina, who are you two?" she asked with a warm and friendly smile. Her eyes drifted to the strange green and white and green pokemon beside them. It looked like a deer of some kind. "Oh.. that is cute. Never seen a pokemon like that before." she admitted. "What's its name?"

Nana gave a glare to the two newcomers, and a grumbled greeting to Pent and Devon, flicking her tail impatiently. Then her eyes focused on the Shaymin. A look of confusion passed across her face for a second before Nana narrowed her eyes into slits. A Shaymin.. a grass type which was known for being able to change shape when exposed to a certain item.. a flower or something. Actually.. it was in its other shape now.. which was weird. What was a rare pokemon like that doing here in a place like this? She didn't let her worry show outwardly, instead just keeping her eyes focused on the tiny creature.

In the meantime, Spud had waddled over to Devon and Pent, greeting the two with a broad smile before turning to the newcomers and waddling closer to them, reaching over and fist bumping both of them, leaving some of his slimy residue on their hands. <Oh.. wait.. what kind of pokemon are you?> he moved over to the Shaymin, tilting his head to the side. He'd never seen a pokemon like this in all of his life before.. it was tiny and green and white.. and actually quite adorable.

Nana flicked her tail impatiently. <That is a Shaymin.> she stated, ears flicking forward. <A rare Pokemon akin to those ones the humans call 'legendary.'> she sat up slightly taller, narrowing her eyes even further. <I would be curious as to why you have come to this place.>

Tamaki slithered out from behind Spud, wiggling excitedly as he saw the small pokemon, a smile stretching across his face. <HI!> he called happily. <I'm Tamaki, and that's Spud and Nana!> He vibrated almost too excitedly as he greeted the Shaymin.

Wye Coldren

Vertigo City - Pokemon Center

Wye stood in front of his bed, putting his jacket on. He looked at the four empty pokeballs laying on the nightstand. He put them on his belt and took his bag. Walking over to the door, he noticed a note. "Ah..." He patted his pockets before reaching into his bag and pulling out his pen. He wrote his X-transciever number and "Phone me when you're back -Wye" on the paper of the note before leaving.

Lily and Brent

@Ninian @Light Lord @Draconequis
"Well, my brother does make and has made mistakes that he learns from... he once tried to breed a Seviper and a Zangoose..." Brent let out a light chuckle, while Devon popped a question to Lily. "Hmm? You know, I think we traveled to Sinnoh once to visit family in... Eterna City I think it was called. But no, I've never been to Hearthome City."

Brent's comment to Pent seemed to somewhat dishearten him, as a bead of sweat rolled down his face. "Hey, don't take it like that, It's good to get back out on the road after a while. Plus, as a Professor, it does help to get out in the world and see new things and places, just look at Prof. Maple!" Then entered a girl in a... wheelchair? She had an Arcanine with her, and after seeing Professor Faraday, he wasn't judging any more books by their cover. "Nice to meet you Sirina, I'm Brent. My little partner Cyndaquil is over there." Replied Brent as he jutted his thumb back to his fire type companion.

"Mine's Lily, it's a pleasure! And that?" In reply to Sirina's question about Shaymin, "That's Shaymin, and back there is Chikorita." Lily also looked at the newcomer, the wheelchair was a bit odd, but who cared. "I barely know you all, but I really like you already! You two have your... limits... but you're all going on journey's anyway. That's something I wish everyone could say they could do!"

<Aura? I've never heard of it... oh wow, more Pokemon!> Shaymin flew over and around Sirina and her group. <Yep, you have it right. I'm Shaymin, nice to meet all of you! And I'm here... because that girl Lily saved my life yesterday, and now we're partners or something... at least that's what Arceus said last night.>

Team Royal Skies, Lancer

@Iatos
Lancer, possibly the most powerful of the three Admins of Team Royal Skies, was just sitting in a beach chair in what appeared to be some kind of resort. Sure, he was on duty, but in some place like this you'd have to be discreet, so why not enjoy some sun while waiting for your operation to begin? It was nice and quiet, until his communicator in his visor went off. He lazily picked it up, sliding it on his head, activating the Comm Channel. It was Rook.

He listened to what Rook said, it wasn't much, but it was a start. "Roger, and HQ received your intel, good work on the op. Galahad is proceeding with Phase One right now. After that, i'll be ready and waiting for Phase Two. For now, keep your cover as you've made it, and see if you can find out anything about those two Rangers, last I heard Bishop and Gwen left them in the dust just south of Vertigo City, but they're probably somewhere in Vertigo by now. I'll also have HQ look up anymore information on this 'Brooks' guy. Over and out."

He cut the connection, and sat up from his lazy position. Time to do a little research. He began accessing the Royal Skies widespread network, which secretly connect to most major Pokemon organizations. And then he found it... what was this?! "There's almost no info on this guy, even in the Pokemon League database... You'd think a guy like that would be pretty well known, as strong as he's pegged to be..." Indeed, there was little to no useful info about him that he didn't already know. The last useful tidbit was from about five years ago, where he managed to win the Viore League Tournament, then all info went dark. So there was five years of unknown about this guy... who was he?

Xavier

Xavier wandered into the middle of the grassy field, it truly was a beautiful morning. Making it somewhat disappointing seeing there wasn't many trainers or pokemon around. Quickly reaching into his bag grabbing his pokeballs and releasing them within seconds of each other. However, Greed didn't come out when he tried to let him free. Knowing that he probably wouldn't leave just acting impulsively, not even thinking about it being so used to having him wanting to never be his ball, letting out a small sigh. Stuffing his pokeball into his jacket pocket letting him stay there. Betrayed, Titan and Skyline all came out looking at Xavier smiling, as he smiled back at them and took the food out of the bag, handing it to them. “Morning, I have some food for all you guys. I figured you all could use some fresh air, so feel free to go anywhere you'd like. But please meet me back in front of the cities sign after a couple hours, alright?” Xavier explained, as they all nodded their heads showing they understood.

As Betrayed grabbed the food and ran off with it stuffed in her mouth, as Titan ate his food very quickly, seemingly just swallowing it all whole before flying off. Skyline ate his food while Xavier started to eat himself. Though he didn't leave, looking at Xavier with a concerned look. Wondering if they should explain what happened last night. Xavier noticed Skyline wasn't running off with the others. “Is something wrong Skyline?” Skyline pointed to his jacket pocket, as Xavier thought Skyline must be worried about Greed, but he didn't know exactly how to explain. He didn't really want to discuss what happened last night. “Don't worry about him, just give some time to himself.” Xavier assured Skyline with a wide smile trying to make him at ease. Greed was still listening to the things around him, as he started to speak inside of Skyline's head which caused him a second of confusion until he realized who it was. Skyline made some mumbling sounds like he was talking himself, though in reality Greed was speaking to him privately. As Xavier rubbed his head some, Skyline just flew off shortly after their discussion.

Xavier shrugged his shoulders seeing everyone was off amusing themselves, promptly finishing his breakfast being hungry. With another moment to think, he decided what he wanted to do. Wanting to spend his time exploring the remainder of Vertigo City. Since it was broad daylight he could reasonably speculate that he'd be less likely to get stuck in such a terrible situation again. Though it wouldn't of been as dangerous if he kept his pokemon around. But allowing them play freely instead, knowing he didn't enjoy being restricted constantly by his parents, being forced to stay in his house when he wanted to go outside and have adventures. So why would he force them to stay idle in one place either? Maybe he just wanted to prove to himself he wasn't scared. Xavier needed something to get his mind of of things, as he felt maybe it was finally time to pull a prank himself, itching to start having some fun. Additionally, if he was having fun playing around, maybe Greed would even join in. Figuring if anything would get him through the doldrums, it would be some shenanigans.

Xavier starting head back to the city before he heard Greed speaking which interrupted his movement. “Xa...Xavier can I talk to you privately for a moment...” Greed says as Xavier wondered how this didn't technically already count since he was the only one that could actually hear him, but he knew it had to be serious so Xavier nodded his head. “Well I suppose I'll find a place with even fewer people around.” Xavier replied, remembering he hadn't actually given the key back to the inn by mistake though that shouldn't hurt if he used the room for a little longer and just return the key after they had finished their private chat. Xavier headed back into the room, curious to hear what Greed wanted to talk about. “It's all clear Greed, can you please come out so I can see you?” Xavier states closing the door behind him.

Greed appeared in front of Xavier who sat down in the chair, seeing Greed's rather depressed look. Xavier was about to ask him a question but Greed suddenly starting to speak in a tone making it seem like he was going to cry any minute. “I've decided that I cannot continue to be a menace to you, or any of your friends any longer. I've tried to pacify my inner demons but I've only failed and I've endangered your life too many times now...I refuse to accept any more forgiveness I don't deserve...” Greed spoke in his head, Xavier was listening but he was left speechless starting to feel his heart aching. “I cannot be your partner anymore. Please release me, so I can never trouble you again.” Greed stated looking very serious about the words he said as Xavier remained completely silent.

Devon

[Route 701 Pokémon Center]

Brent's mention of his brother's breeding misadventures caused Devon to laugh a bit. "Oh shit. Bet that was a pain in the ass." Then Lily's answer to his question caused the boy to turn back to her. "Eterna's pretty nice. I have friend there that actually does some breeding too."

Sirina came rolling back into the kitchen, and Devon waved her over to the table with a smile on his face. "Hey Sirina! Grab a spot! Lily and Brent are pretty cool! I've never met anyone with a Pokémon as rare as something like Shaymin before!"

Devon then began to notice most of everyone's Pokémon getting friendly with each other, and once Spud came over with his dopey smile, waved at the Water-Ground type before looking down at his pockets. "Crap. Should probably let everyone out too...."

In an instant, the teen had taken out four Pokéball's from his hoodie pockets. One by one he pressed the release buttons, causing a Monferno, a Mismagius, a Marill, and an Ampharos with some sort of sliver band and multi-colored stone around it's neck to materialize next to their table.

The teen waved at his teammates and wore a slightly guilty grin. "Hey guys. Guess we aren't leaving quite yet. We met some new people at least! They even got a Shaymin!"

Shock yawned a bit, the Ampharos rubbing the sleep out of his eye's as his head tilted up to view Shaymin floating among Sirina's party. <Whoa, a Shaymin? You sure? I thought they were supposed to be....I dunno, rounder? Tinier? Eh, whatever. I'm Shock.>

Quill the Monferno focused his gaze upon the flying canine like creature as he crossed his arms. Giving somewhat of an odd smile. <I'm Quill. Professor Rowan was always talking about you guys Shaymin. Your power is pretty special. What are you doing around here? Is one of these kids your Trainer?>

Missy still looked abit distracted as she looked over the group, the Mismagius being the total opposite of the Marill as the tiny blue mon bounced over onto one of the tables benches near everyone else. <Oh! A Shaymin! I always wanted to see one! Hi! I'm Cyan! Are you more common around here?>

Pent
Shinon the Lucario, Aenir the Froslass, Jill the Skarmory
[Route 701 - Pokémon Center]

@Shiny Keldeo@Light Lord@Draconequis
Catching Sirina's voice, Pent turned his head to face the new arrival. "Good morning! I do hope you slept well. I take it you're suffering from jet lag...?" When Nana came into view, he flashed the Arcanine a friendly smile.

The Lucario, Shinon, spoke up, noting the suspicion Nana held for the legendary Shaymin. <Good morning, Nana, Spud and Tamaki. I do hope you all slept well.>

Pent's gaze shifted from Sirina, back to Brent once he addressed him. "Well... I... suppose so. Professor Maple is a bit more..." Hanging his head, he didn't finish his thought. It was fortunate the others in the group seemed to be conversing so the focus wasn't all on him.

Tilting his head, Shinon looked over Shaymin. <...Arceus?> The name was surprisingly unfamiliar to Shinon. <...To answer your question, Aura is the essence of every living creature. I have the ability to both sense and manipulate it.>

When Devon let out all of his Pokémon, Pent decided it was probably for the best he did the same as well. Pulling two Pokéballs from his belt, he released the energy, and out materialized a Froslass and a Skarmory.

A soft yawn escaped the Froslass' lips as she looked upon the group. <Oh, good morning. It seems we have new friends, then? Greetings, everyone.>

Once the Skarmory finished materializing, it was clear that the Pokémon was simply out. Sleeping so deeply that it was doubtful much could wake it. Pent let out a soft chuckle, "...Well then, it seems Jill is still sleeping."

@Light Lord @Ninian @Shiny Keldeo

Hearing the fact that someone made the deadly mistake of trying to breed a Seviper and Zangoose, Sirina's eyes went wide. Breeders were scary people.. i mean.. they dealt with pokemon breeding. Like.. that case that was famous in the paper where a man managed to breed Skitty and Wailord. Sirina shuddered at the thought.

"Hello Brent, and Cyndaquil." She greeted them with a friendly smile. "And to you as well, Lily, Chikorita and Shaymin."

She looked slightly uncomfortable as Lily mentioned her 'limits.' I mean.. she wasn't that limited.. sure going up steps took longer, and she had to be careful about going too fast down hills... sometimes Nana had to carry her when her wheelchair couldn't navigate over extremely rough terrain..but other than that.. she got around just fine. Everyone always assumed she had it so rough in her chair.. but she was just like every other person in the world, minus legs.

"Wait.. so is that why I have never seen Shaymin around before? Because it is.. 'rare?'" She asked curiosity burning in her gaze.

Nana let out an irritated growl as she surveyed the Shaymin. <I suppose that is a good enough reason as any.> she flicked her ears <Wait.. Arceus? As in.. THE Arceus? Creator of this entire universe?> she'd seen a blurry photograph of a strange llama/horse like beast with yellow things surrounding it. Scarcely any humans or pokemon had the pleasure of meeting it.. as the creature was off being Omnipotent and regulating the universe it had created.

Spud, seeing Devon wave at him elected to wave back, giving a slow hello cry and a smile.

Seeing the sleeping Skarmory, Tamaki's eyes glistened. A bird made of shiny metal! "HEY! PRETTY LADY! WAKE UP!" he cried excitedly, slithering over to the bird and raising himself up as high as he could go.

"Tamaki.. don't bother her if she is sleeping!" Sirina scolded

Tamaki just continued to stand up, tilting his head on the bird, waiting for her to respond.

In the meantime, Spud had turned his attention back to the Shaymin. <Nana knows a lot about everything. I guess they put her through some kind of intense training.>

Nana flicked her tail. <I worked for the military before i worked for Sirina. They made sure the Growlithe Corps knew everything we could about any pokemon. Even Arceus.> She explained.

Lily and Brent

@Ninian @Light Lord @Draconequis
Brent looked at the stern faced Arcanine. He saw the glare it gave off, the kind of look that said "You don't mess with me, I don't mess with you." "Your Arcanine looks well trained and protective, that's impressive for anyone to do, my brother is still having issues with an Arcanine he recently evolved." Lily looked over at all the Pokemon now out. Professor Faraday had revealed a Skarmory and Fosslass, along with his Lucario. Devon showed off an Ampharos, Monferno, Mismagius, and Marill. And now this girl, Sirina, showed up with an Arcanine, Quagsire, and Dratini. There were so many awesome Pokemon in front of her, Lily was speechless (And Lily being speechless is a RARE thing).

Shaymin meanwhile was taking up some conversations with the newly released and arrived Pokemon. <Shock, right? The thing you're talking about is my other forme. I much prefer this one, because it lets me fly too!> Then to the Monferno. <Special power? He might mean my Seed Flare I guess. And... no, she's not exactly my Trainer, we're partners!> But then the Marill spoke up, its question made Shaymin's ears fold back somewhat, and a downcast expression came onto her face. <Common... we used to be... but these humans, they kept coming on our land, our garden, trying to build more buildings... all my friends left, but I stayed there. Eventually, something made them stop coming, but it was already too late...> Shaymin went silent after that, and returned to Lily's shoulder.

Lily noticed this, and gingerly scratched Shaymin under the chin. "You alright?" Shaymin realized that she could make Lily worry, so she put on the brave face and nodded in reply.

Team Royal Skies, Galahad

Far from prying eyes, Galahad had set up his operation in one of the most remote corners of Lake Northwind. The gear was all operational, and the power booster was involuntarily ready. "Alright, let's see what this little pipsqueak can do to our equipment. Attach the cables." Two Grunts attached a somewhat large cable to the containment device the Pokemon was in. They nodded to a third grunt, who then flipped a switch on the equipment. A shrill scream could be heard from the cage, as the equipment buzzed to life. "Sir, all systems operating at 150% and climbing!" Galahad smiled, so it was that powerful.

Soon, it peaked at 250%, and they waited, and waited. Soon several hours had passed. "Sir, there's nothing being picked up on radar. It's completely silent." Galahad grumbled, maybe the research that Professor was doing was wrong... or maybe Suicune just wasn't here at the moment. Either way, it was clear their target would not be found today. "Keep camp up here, I want five remaining here to keep watch, in case the target decides to reveal itself. The rest of you, load up. We're going to check out a few other lakes and rivers in this area."

Galahad jumped into the drivers seat of the first vehicle, with grunts piling into it and the second vehicle. Once they were in, he sparked the engines, threw it in highest gear, and took off across the forest.

Devon

[Route 701 Pokémon Center]

Devon somewhat paused as he looked down at the large steely bird laying on the ground near Pent. Watching it's chest move slowly up and down, the teen stared in a somewhat confused manor. "Uh....Is that Jill's thing Pent? Sleeping? Is that seriously all she does?....Kind of a boring life if you ask me."

Sirina was as blown away by the rare sight as he was. Devon raised a finger and smiled to address the brown haired girls confusion as to why she might have never seen a Shaymin before. "Shaymin are totally rare! It's really hard to find one nowadays, but they're around. A Shaymin was actually the Pokémon that brought all of the plant life to a town in Sinnoh; Floaroma."

Shock stared a bit too long at Shaymin as she answered his question. <See that....What's with all these Pokémon that can fly without wings man? I feel ripped off.>

Quill frowned somewhat and nodded once Shaymin addressed his curiosity. The flame on the end of the Monferno's tail crackling quietly. <Yes, I think he was talking about your unique move....And partners?...I can understand that. For a rare Pokémon like you, finding a trusting human is the best way to go.>

Hearing the Grass-Flying types story made a cloud of depression fall upon Devon's Pokémon. Cyan's face drooped in a true frown as she looked up at the sad Shaymin on Lily's shoulder. <I'm sorry....Humans are usually nice about letting Pokémon keep their territory but...It might be different here. It's not fair that they did that....> The Marill's expression then slowly brightened. As always, Cyan attempted to find a silver lining in the situation. <At least you have Lily now right? She seems nice.>

Devon shifted uncomfortably as he viewed Shaymin retreat to Lily's shoulder, and decided to change subjects. "So uh...Lily, Brent, what are your plans? Lily mentioned her Mom being a Gym Leader, so are you both taking on Viore's Gym circuit? Was kinda thinking about challenging it myself if I got the chance. I'm only here for awhile with my Dad."

Pent
Shinon the Lucario, Aenir the Froslass, Jill the Skarmory
[Route 701 - Pokémon Center]

@Shiny Keldeo@Light Lord@Draconequis
When Nana spoke about Arceus, Shinon's ears pricked. He then thought to himself, and by extension to Pent. ...Arceus... the creator of the universe?

The Kalosian professor was rather startled by his companion's thought processes. Eyes fixed on the Lucario, Pent spoke, "...Excuse me?"

The Shaymin mentioned speaking with Arceus, and Nana explained that Arceus is the creator of the universe. Or rather, she was requesting clarification... Pent's brows furrowed as his partner conveyed this information through Aura.

It was truly a rare occurrence, however Tamaki did manage to stirr Jill, even if it was only somewhat, and briefly. Letting out a soft snort, the Skarmory's eyes fluttered open, briefly. <...W-What...?> Jill was conscious for a few moments. Her deep blue irises met the Dratini's gaze for a few moments before she drifted off back to sleep.

Aenir, Pent's Froslass, was trying to get her barings since she was released from her ball. Finally, she chimed into the current conversation, her icy gaze falling upon Shaymin. <Humans pushed you out of your natural habitat? That's... horrible, I'm... terribly sorry.>

When Devon asked about Jill, the dark-haired professor let out a dejected sigh. "It... is, yes. She's quite a stalwart companion, but... " Letting out a soft chuckle he continued, "I do hope she dreams of something wonderful..."

Shinon had been quietly observing the Shaymin for some time now, taking note of his past history, and the fact that he was apparently an incredibly rare, if not legendary Pokémon. And Arceus... there were a lot of questions, but he felt that now wasn't the time for answers.

Sirina smiled at Brent. "Oh, i didn't train her. She was trained by a professional." she stated. "Actually, my parents said she used to work for the military for a while. Though i never did get out of them what exactly she did. All i know is she was given her fire stone as a reward for her service." she rested a hand on Nana's head gently, massaging behind the creature's ears. "I think her previous owner fell in battle.. so.. she came to me instead. It is sad.. but at the same time.. i am happy because i get to be with her."

Nana's eyes focused intently on Sirina, her ears flicking uncomfortably as Sirina said something about her previous owner. She didn't like hearing about him, she missed the man more than she could bear sometimes. Still.. she loved Sirina just as much as she'd loved him. She placed her head in Sirina's lap, allowing a tender moment to pass between the two, and a begging gleam in her eyes to keep Sirina from saying anything else about her previous owner. They remained in this embrace for a moment longer before Nana lifted her head from Sirina's lap and turned it back to the Shaymin, just in time to see the tiny deer creature hiding behind her trainer.

Spud's brow furrowed as he saw her fake through her fear. <You don't have to worry. You can rely on us to help you as long as we travel together. Your trainer may not be experienced now... but she will someday. And as long as you are with us... Nana, Tamaki, and I will shield you from whatever cruelty the world has to offer, right Nana?>

Nana closed her eyes and nodded. <You might not be someone i trust.. but you are a child in the cruel ways of the world. If there is any way i can keep your eyes innocent, i will. No need for you to see anything like what I have seen.> Of course.. there was the knowledge behind Nana's eyes... far beyond her physical age.. the knowledge of a pokemon who had seen horrors no pokemon or human should ever see.

Sirina smiled over at Devon as he replied. "Oh wow.. that is amazing, so they create floral life?" she asked, eyes twinkling. "Pokemon are amazing creatures, aren't they?" she fell back slightly as she saw the discomfort in his eyes caused by the hasty retreat of the Shaymin. She was greatful when Devon changed the subject, giving the two a gentle smile. "If you do travel the gym circuit, perhaps we can go together?" she applied the break on her wheelchair, growing tired of holding the wheels.

Nana turned to Shock. <I thought that Shaymin was a psychic type as well as a grass type when it changes form? Forgive me if i am mistaken, but i think psychic types can levitate with their minds? I could be wrong though..honestly its hard to remember all the typings of all of the hundreds of pokemon who exist in our world.>

Tamaki wiggled excitedly as the Skarmory answered him for a moment before going back to sleep. <YAAAY!> he called excitedly, writhing over towards the others again, bobbing his head excitedly. <Did you see? DID YOU SEE? The shiny bird said WHAT!> he seemed waay too excited about all of this for some reason.

Lily and Brent

@Draconequis @Light Lord @Ninian
"That's just... wow." Said Brent at Sirina's explanation of how she came into ownership of her Arcanine. It had been quite some time since war had raged in their world, but the last one was bad... he couldn't begin to even imagine what the poor Pokemon had experienced. "I feel like you were the perfect match for her though, you two look super close, it's good to have that relationship with your Pokemon." When the question dropped about the Viore Gym Challenge, Lily spoke up faster than Brent after an unprecedented moment of silence for her. "Yeah! I'm not sure how far I'll get, but I'm going to give it my all!" Brent smiled and nodded as well. "While I may not seem as enthusiastic as Lily, I'm determined to make it to the top of the Viore League. My goal is to become the Champion, at least one day."

Then they mentioned traveling together, and Brent and Lily had to look at each other for a moment. "Should we? It could be fun." Brent was a little more in depth about it. "Well..." There was a long pause as Brent thought about it greatly. "As long as we've got enough supplies for everyone, I don't see why not. Like you said Lily, could be fun."

Shaymin had finally somewhat recovered from her slight anxiety episode, and was back to flying around in slow circles above everyone's head. <You're right, now I won't be lonely anymore that I've got Lily! Thanks, I'm okay now, for real. And my type? I'm still just a Grass type I think...> Chikorita and Cyndaquil finally trotted over to meet the new arrivals after finishing some kind of game they had been playing. <Why is it every Pokemon we've met so far is gigantic compared to us?> Cyndaquil said, looking at Nana. <Because we're still "Prevolves" as some call us. Once we evolve a little, it'll be a different story. So it looks like we'll be traveling together for a while, nice to meet you all!> <Yeah, same here!>

Team Royal Skies, Lancer

Lancer was back to lazily laying in his beach chair, but it wasn't as relaxing as it was before. That Brooks kid was still on his mind, how could there be so little data on him? All he knew about him was he was a former Viore League Tournament winner, a veteran trainer, used a Mega Feraligatr, and... wait... he came from New Amber Town? He hadn't thought about it before, but his town of birth was in fact New Amber Town. Well, it seemed he had a start. He'd have a few guys from HQ check it out, now he could finally relax... nah, that was getting boring. It was about time he went up to explore the mountain above, to see if the legend was even possibly true. Of course, still under the guise of a tourist.

Devon

[Route 701 Pokémon Center]

Shock simply shrugged once at the Arcanine once she attempted to turn to him of all Pokémon for advice on how Shaymin's flight was even possible. <You're asking me? Heck if I know! Shaymin do a bunch of stuff with plants so it's a good bet that they're Grass-type, but I dunno about them being Psychic-typed....And I guess some Psychics can fly? Chimecho can fly.>

Devon grinned once both Lily and Brent spoke their goals, and Sirina offered to travel together with them. "That's a pretty tough goal you two, but it looks like you guys got some serious determination. I'm sure with a bit of time, you guys will take down the League no problem. I'd be up for travelling with you guys too if'd you'd want me." The teen then held up his white single strapped backpack and punched it. Causing a muffled Pomph sound to come from it. "And it may not look it, but I can carry alot of crap in this bag. I don't think we'll need to worry about running out of supplies if we stay smart with em." Turning to Pent, the brown haired boy gestured a thumb to the other three kids near him. "Yo Pent, you up for travelling with Lily and Brent? They seem cool."

Cyan let out a happy giggle once Shaymin seemed to perk up once again. The little Marill bouncing the end of her tail on the floor as she smiled at the mythical Pokémon. <Yay! You'll see! It's not that bad once you look at the bright side Shaymin!>

Once Cyndaquil and Chikorita made their appearance and spoke about being tiny, Shock grinned and strolled over to the two Pokémon. The Ampharos towering over the two much younger Pokémon. He took his right flipper and tapped it on his chest as he looked down at them both with his stupid grin. <Don't worry kids, you won't be tiny forever! Until you get bigger though, try to avoid being stepped on. Take my word for it, it sucks. I'm Shock by the way!>

Quill groaned a bit at Shock's awkward greeting, and waved at the two Johto starters with a slight smile. <I'm uh, I'm Quill.>

Cyan did a short spin on one foot before waving at Cyndaquil and Chikorita. <I'm Cyan! Nice to meet you too!>

Missy seemed to be busy staring off into the lunchroom, but the Mismagius finally came back to greet the new faces with a twisted smile.<Hello Cyndaquil, Chikorita. I'm sorry I've been a bit...Distracted lately.>

"Oh.. thank you so much for that." Sirina smiled gently as Brent said she was the perfect match for her Arcanine, and that they had a good relationship. Well, Nana had been with her now almost five years now.. she was glad that they seemed so close to others.

Sirina smiled as the two young trainers agreed to go with her on their journey. "Oh, it will be so amazing to see you two grow as trainers. I've always wanted to watch that happen, and now i get to!" She nodded. "Actually, if you look at the back of my chair you will see this." she removed her break to wheel herself around, showing a rather massive backpack hanging from the back of her chair. She turned back around, re-applying her break. "Some of its medication, but my parents made sure i would be well stocked on this journey." She explained.

Nana tilted her head to the side, her brow furrowing. <Really? I could have sworn i was taught that you were a dual typing when you changed forms...> she shrugged her shoulders, glancing down at Chikorita and Cyndaquil. She smirked as the Cyndaquil compared their height. <Actually I have seen your final evolutions before. Unless you are above average you will both be about the same height.> She didn't mention how they would both still be smaller than her, even in their final forms. As an Arcanine, Nana was on the bigger size of her kind, coming in at a rather impressive 6'9" if she sat up all the way. She was taller than most humans actually, a fact she was quite proud of.

Nana burst into her wheezing laughter as Shock protested her question. <Well, i guess I was wrong, Shaymin is just a grass type apparently. Forgive me. My knowledge of this rare pokemon is limited.>

Spud waddled over to the Chikorita and the Cyndaquil, a broad smile dancing across his face. <Good to meet you, I am Spud, and this is Nana, and over there is Tamaki.>

Tamaki wiggled over to meet Chikorita and Cyndaquil, grinning widely. <HI! I'M TAMAKI! I'M LITTLE JUST LIKE YOU! But some day, Nana says I will be even TALLER than SHE IS!> he piped excitedly.

Pent
Shinon the Lucario, Aenir the Froslass, Jill the Skarmory
[Route 701 - Pokémon Center]

Pent was lost in thought as those surrounding him discussed Shaymin, among other things. The professor knew surprisingly little about the Mythical Pokémon, however he did know it made its home on a remote island in Sinnoh. Or at the very least, that's one of the only areas they have been seen recently. With that information in mind, Devon's words made sense to him.

The professor's Froslass had caught sight of the excited Tamaki, and floated over, an amused smile across her features. <So you wish to talk to Jill? Hmmm... You know, you should ask Shinon to wake her up for you. He absolutely loves doing that.> Turning to the Cyndaquil and Chikorita, Aenir smiled, <It's nice to meet you as well. Right, Shinon?>

Similarly to Pent, Shinon was also lost in thought. He merely grunted, <It's a pleasure.>

Hearing his name, Pent blinked a few times before finally processing Devon's words. "Oh... yes, of course. The more the merrier. I have plenty of supplies for myself, and of course you're welcome to them in a pinch. As Trainers, once we reach Vertigo City, you should have no issues with supplies."
