Plot
"Legend tells of a time long before ours, when an evil warlord ruled over the land with the Legendary Dragon Pokemon at his side, as his slave. Before he came, the land was calm and free from worry. Afterwards, everyone lived in fear and despair. Finally, a small group of heroes, paired up with Pokemon of Legend, confronted the warlord. They freed the Legendary Dragon from his control, and defeated him. They banished the warlord from their land, and he left for regions unknown. Soon after, the Legendary Guardians as they were now called, also disappeared from the face of history..."
"Though that is only a child's fable now of course! In modern times People and Pokemon live together in perfect harmony as they have for centuries. The Viore Region, the land in question, is a rare specimen, filled with Pokemon from around the world, as well as many ancient ruins from eras long since past. Each year Trainers from around the world flock here to participate in the Viore Region Pokemon League Tournament."
"However, there has been an awakening. A strange organization, known as Royal Skies, is beginning to wreak havoc on the citizens of Viore. Police forces are becoming less able to deal with them as their group grows, and still no one is sure of their motives for this chaos."

"The very first town new trainers start in in the Viore Region. Home to Professor Edward Maple, the region's Pokemon Professor, as well as the Viore International Airport.
Vertigo City
"This town serves as a kind of crossroads for towns across the region, having routes heading in all four directions. There is a Contest Hall in this town."
Riviera Town
"Riviera town is a town built in a small valley covered in waterfalls, creating criss-crossing rivers across the entire town. There is a Pokemon Gym and a Contest Hall in this town."
Dorado City
"Rumored to be built atop the Legendary City of Gold, many miners have tried their luck in the Dorado Mines attempting to find any of it's legendary treasure. There is a Pokemon Gym in this town."
Lilac City
"There is no larger export city of plants, flowers, and fauna than Lilac City. It's rare abundance of fauna, even in the Viore Region, is unmatched. There is a Pokemon Gym and a Contest Hall in this town."
Krakatoa Town
"A tropical get-away, this Island town is built at the base of Mt. Magma, an active volcano that regularly spouts lava out, increasing the island's size. There is a Pokemon Gym and a Contest Hall in this town."
Pinewood Town
"An oasis in the frigid Northern Viore, it's mineral hot springs attract weary travelers as they pass through. There is a Contest Hall in this town."
Northfrost City
"The coldest place in Viore, it attracts a multitude of ice sculpters who prefer the environment for their creations. There is a Pokemon Gym in this town."
Sahara City
"As the designated hotspot in Viore for ancient ruins, Sahara City made its name with the Viore Historical Museum. There is a Pokemon Gym in this town."
Voltic City
"This is the power source for the entire Viore Region. The Thundering Hills, as they are known, have an overabundance of a seemingly endless thunder storm which provides the electricity. There is a Pokemon Gym and a Contest Hall in this town."
Dracotia Village
One of the oldest settlements in Viore, Dracotia is a town nestled along the cliffsides of several large mountains. Many dragon type Pokemon like to call this place home. There is a Pokemon Gym in this town."
Ultima City
"Located in the southernmost part of Viore, Ultima City is the home of the Pokemon League. Each year the tournament is held there to see who would proceed to face off against the Elite Four and Champion. It also hosts the Viore Grand Festival."
Lake Northwind
"Located in the triangle of Riviera, Dorado, and Lilac, Northwind is, according to legend, home to the Legendary Pokemon Suicune. This has never been proven, however."
Mount Viore
"The largest mountain in the entire Viore Region, it has a collection of ancient ruins scattered around it, including a massive one at its peak."
Regional Routes
Route 701: New Amber Town <-> Vertigo City
- A forest covered route that treads over a few hills along the way. It will take several hours and sometimes a day or two to walk, luckily there is a Pokemon Center along the way.
Route 702: Vertigo City <-> Riviera Town
- An open route with many trees thinly spread out. It is covered in converging streams and rivers, which are spanned by bridges. It will take a few hours to a day to walk.
Route 703a: Riviera Town <-> Dorado City
- Taking travelers through Bitterwood Forest, it rests along the banks of Lake Northwind. It takes a few hours to travel on foot.
Route 703b: Riviera Town <-> Lilac City
- A relatively plain route, it is often rarely used. There is nothing of particular interest here, except that it rests along the northern banks of Lake Northwind. It takes a few hours to travel on foot.
Route 704: Dorado City <-> Lilac City
- A route that streches along the western seaboard of Viore, it is a popular site for relaxation by many trainers. It takes a few hours to travel on foot.
Route 705: Lilac City <-> Krakatoa Town
- Only accessible via ship or aquatic Pokemon, it is a popular sight for Wailord Watching. By ship the route should take less than an hour.
Route 706: Krakatoa Town <-> Pinewood Town
- Only accessible via Ship, due to large ice floats forming in the northern section of the sea. By ship it should take about an hour or two.
Route 707: Pinewood Town <-> Northfrost City
- A snow covered route littered with Pine Trees, it is recommended to be prepared for sudden blizzards. Traveling this route on foot will take a several hours. There is a Pokemon Center along the way.
Route 708: Northfrost City <-> Sahara City
- This route begins in snow, and ends in desert. It will pass through the Viore Mountain Range before hitting the desert, though. This route takes several hours to a day to travel on foot.
Route 709: Sahara City <-> Voltic City
- This route takes you through the desert surrounding Sahara City to the grasslands of the northeast. This route takes several hours to a day to travel on foot.
Route 710: Voltic City <-> Dracotia Village
- The longest route in Viore, it takes travelers on a long journey through the eastern grasslands of Viore, eventually climbing in altitutde to a small cut off mountain range. This route takes several days to traverse, but there are Pokemon Centers along the way.
Route 711: Dracotia Village <-> Route 712 Pokemon Center
- This route was so long that they had to split it into two routes. This returns to the lightly forested area of Viore. It takes a few days to traverse.
Route 712: Route 712 Pokemon Center <-> Vertigo City
- This route coincides with Route 711, continuing on where the previous leaves off. It takes a few days to traverse.
Route 713: Vertigo City <-> Ultima City
- This route takes you directly south, with many cliffs and gorges abound. It takes a few days to traverse.

"Milly is the Gym Leader of the Riviera Town Pokemon Gym. She can get quite hotheaded at times, especially if someone is mistreating their Pokemon. Her main partner is a Lapras."
Erikk
"Erikk is the Gym Leader of the Dorado City Pokemon Gym. Like many in Dorado, he deeply believes in the legend of the City of Gold, and spends a lot of time in the mines. His main partner is a Golem."
Lillian
"Lillian is the Gym Leader of the Lilac City Pokemon Gym. As well as Gym Leader, she also runs a small organization in Lilac which takes care of orphaned or abandoned Pokemon. Her main partner is a Venusaur."
Maverick
"Maverick is the Gym Leader of the Krakatoa Town Pokemon Gym. Although he trains with fire types, he spends most of his time in the water at the beach, often serving as a life guard. His main partner is a Magmar."
Christie
"Christie is the Gym Leader of the Northfrost City Pokemon Gym. He was drawn to the town, like many, for the perfect ice sculpting climate. He is a master sculpter, having statues around his gym. His main partner is a Glalie."
Nile
"Nile is the Gym Leader of the Sahara City Pokemon Gym. He is a man of few words, preferring to let his battling do the talking for him. His main partner is a Hippowdon."
Quin
"Quin is the Gym Leader of the Voltic City Pokemon Gym. The region's head engineer, he makes sure that the electricity gets where it needs to go without any problems. His main partner is a Magnezone."
Alicia
"Alicia is the Gym Leader of the Dracotia Village Pokemon Gym. The youngest gym leader in Viore at age 10, she tends to travel on training journeys often, leaving the gym unattended. Her main partner is a Dragonite."
Team Royal Skies
"Considered a criminal organization for the terror they create, they are an organization working in Viore for unknown reasons. Their leader is a mysterious figure, whose identity is shrouded in the shadows. The same can be said for many of its members."

For the most part he play the role as a wandering trainer, and don't really mind making possible friends or rivals.

Other: As a child Devon was interested in Pokémon like many children, and thought it to be a good idea to attempt to play with the wild Pokémon living on the routes near his hometowns. The wild Pokémon did not take too kindly to the small kids annoying tendencies however, and Devon was given painful injuries rather than the friends that he wanted so dearly. He eventually succeeded in befriending a wild Starly which he named 'Flappers'. The two played together constantly, with Flappers acting as a gateway to befriend even more of the local Pokémon. Eventually, Devon and Flappers grew apart. Devon wanted his own Pokémon to travel the region and battle with, while Flappers wished to remain wild and free. The two unfortunately parted ways when Devon was nine. Once Devon received Shock as a Mareep for his tenth birthday, he has spent his time traveling both Sinnoh and Johto battling Gyms and making friends.
