Frighder Forrest

They just wanted to be friends!.. Probably?

The giant spiders, or uh, Frighders... Yea, let's stick with Frighders! The giant Frighders were dispatched rather easily despite their size and power. One bite might have been rather dangerous, but Jenso's hammer struck beady set of purple, glossy eyes and lit them aflame, popping each one like an overflowing grape of spider gunk. The body of the spider curled up on reflex alone, leaving a spinning set of joint legs behind as its abdomen slider away from Jenso and into the woods.

Ainra's bow-shot had a similar effect, popping a set of eyes, and tearing into its brain-case like a real arrow would! Except unlike a real arrow, it caused the spider's head to burst open in a display of fire and spider gunk, spewing every which-way. They were free to travel further, but the feeling of being watched didn't fade...

Just how many Frighders were there?!

How I love family reunions

Zerraf stared for a moment as the rapier sat there motionless, his eyes returning to a stone-like state. Then they returned to crinkling, as if he were trying to hold a straight face but couldn't. Zerraf, the lethargic wind mage, pointed his chin to the sky and laughed. It was untrained but hearty, the skin of his neck nearly scraping against the blade. "Good to see you too. Feisty as ever, eh, I guess a temper will help you in the coming battles." Zerraf shrugged, raising his left hand to a motionless wave as a sign of surrender before going to place a finger on the tip of her blade. "Let's save it for the real threat, hm? We can't be using all of our energy here." Zerraf's eyes darted to the hole and back to the two before him, a glazed look having been replaced by an alert one. "I don't know what you and your new traitor ball friend here are thinking, but I think our exit's already been made."

No more spider hugs!

Jenso smiled as the spiders were beaten. He looked at several trees for a moment, and then back to Ainra. He was unsure how many more Frighders were within the forest, and he didn't want to find out."Hey uh...as much as I appreciate that those things wanted to hug us, maybe we should get outta here before their friends decide to join in too!" He shouted, and dashed further to the castle.

Krunk Fortress

More round people!

Noticing the large number of Krunklets around the Krunk- mobile, Jenso stopped abruptly and jumped behind a nearby boulder to avoid being seen, believing Ainra followed him. "This might be difficult to get past.." He muttered.

Krunk Fortress

Finally, some sense?

"Indeed," Alexander's voice lowered to a whisper, "we should probably try and sneak out - and all I know is the way to another Prisoner Bay, something I don't want to go back to." He then cupped his right palm upwards, conjuring up a fireball. "It seems we've got enemy reinforcements on their way." A sigh.

"The Wind Mage is right; we already have our exit," Alexander said. "I don't like being called a traitor when I don't even know you guys, but I'll lead the way." And with that, he hopped through the hole made by Eleanor, making his way to the courtyard! He was fuming a little due to Zerraf's remarks. Either way, there was a Generic Dark Lord to fight!

Nope, No sense here

Eleanor takes a deep breath "Tell me person, if I am truly your sister? Am I older than you? And if there are any other siblings?" She didnt care too much about the soldier's coming there way, she had a bigger threat to deal with... She lowers her rapier a bit, but still keeps it close to Zerraf.

She keeps her eyes focused on Zerraf "Well so far you havent attacked me, but I dont trust you. After all you are a traitor of some kind. How do I know you wont just backstab me?"

Sense, since when?

Zerraf lowered his left hand, jimmying it into his pocket without breaking eye contact. "'Person' is pretty far off from Zerraf," the wind mage exhaled, a breath on the wind. He leaned back and plopped onto the pillow, crossing his legs. "Look, Annalyn." Zerraf rolled his shoulder, pausing. The glaze began to roll over his eyes once again. His neck waned, head drooping to the floor. "I know you're not technically my little sister. But you're part of the family. You always will be." His mask shifted upward and his eyes crinkled as he looked up at her. "You're all I've got. Stay awhile, won't you?"

With that, and a shine in the wind mage's eyes, the crinkles faded from his face and his mask lowered to its normal position. His eyes fully glazed over. Zerraf appeared as if he had a restless night and just woken up, slowly blinking, neck barely holding his head up. He didn't remember sitting down. He had to get up. What a bother. With great exertion, Zerraf groaned to a stand, bringing the pillow to the crook of his neck with his left arm. There was a girl in front of him now. She looked familiar. Who knew. His neck floated about on the mention of a 'traitor'. That one guy had left. Hm. "Ey-ey. You're looking for the ball guy, that Alice guy? He's the traitor making a run for it. I'm not with... this." Zerraf pointed about the room with a rotating pointer finger, indicating the fortress. With that, Zerraf turned his back to Eleanor, head leaned upon his pillow. "Later." he sauntered towards the hole in the wall, as if gravity had been turned to a minimum. Given he was not stopped, he would continue through and float down toward Alexander's general location.

Oh. There he was.

Krunk Fortress

WE DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR SENSELESS BANTER, JUST DIE!

"THERE THEY ARE!" Krink squealed like a little piglet eager for retribution, "KRUNKLETS, FORMATION X!"

Formation... X?

for a moment, it looked as if the group of little ball-men was actually getting smaller, but in reality, they were grouping up into a larger ball, with the razor-sharp Krunklites lining the out edge, as if they were magnetized to one against, with Krink standing on top. In reality, they were being connected with magnetism. It was in their suits! Or maybe it was magical? Who knew, it was best not to question this video-gamey shit, anyways.

"ROLLLLL!" Alexander and Zerraf were now in the path of a very strange, (and completely implausible) ball of... Well, ball men. Dr. Krink walked backwards, atop the ball, as if he were controlling it. What an arrogant little piggy!

Krunk Fortress

This is getting ridiculous

Alexander sighed; there was this annoying Wind Mage calling him a traitor for no good reason, and now this large globe of ball-men rushing towards him! Well, he'd had enough, and he's going to make his stand here!

Shield of the Sun. Alexander projected a shield to block the ball with his left hand, before creating a fireball, much larger than anything he made before, with his right, and throwing it at the ball, trying to blow it up!

That's it!

Eleanor didnt want another word from this persons mouth. She grabs him by his pretty boy red suit. Then smirks as she had noticed the giant ball coming there way "I AM NOT RELATED TO YOU IN ANY WAY?! DON'T YOU DARE SPEAK TO ME ABOUT FAMILY EVER AGAIN?!" She faces him to the giant ball and drop him. She starts to summon a ball of darkness into her hand to send flying towards the giant ball of... idiots. She hadnt really taken notice to Dr Krink on the top.

Up, Up, and Away

Zerraf lightly touched down near Alexander, their two of formation outnumbered by the Krunklet's...X. "Hm. Your ball friends aren't too happy about you leaving them." Zerraf took a heavy step forward, putting him three paces behind and to the side of Alexander. The wind mage gently set his pillow down and patted it. "Stay." Zerraf unsheathed his rapier with his left hand, performing aloof figure 8s towards the oncoming Krunklets. The ball man on top, he was the smallest... less energy to take down. With an uncontrolled flick of his rapier, Zerraf cast forth a concentrated gust to knock the controller on top off balance. Or so was his goal. Zerraf trudged forward to place himself beside Alexander, scratching his eye while still holding his rapier. "Life as a ball man must be nice. Rolling and such." Zerraf lowered his rapier, back hunched, awaiting the results of their attack.

Eleanor grasped Zerraf's collar, and he dragged as a paper bag may. His eyes remained closed for sometime, and you could swear you heard a snore or two, before his head shook side to side. His eyes opened, glazed, as if a painting. A white eyebrow was raised in response to the girl's ranting. "Eyye. You're tearing the cloak. You're the one lecturing about family." Zerraf paused, brushing his tunic with his left hand near where she was grabbing it. He squinted an eye at Eleanor. She did look familiar, though. "Who are you?" He would add.

Krunk Fortress

Plan B boys!

Like a bowling ball thundering down a horribly kept lane-way (Overgrown with grass and shit), the krunklinite(?) ball tore Alexander's shield asunder, and promptly rolled over his body, leaving him imprinted in the grassy clearing with cuts in his torso outside of Krunk Fortress. Eleanor was quick to react though, striking the mass of Krunklets and Krunklites head on. The orb knocked the ball back, sending several krunklets flying away from the giant formation, unconscious or gravely injured as they sunk into the ground like shiny, rounded pebbles. Krink barely managed to keep his balance after Zerraf's wind struck him, but it seems his armor held similar magnetic properties to those of his underlings. Hell, at this point we have to assume that their armor is magical in nature, cuz science don't fuckin' work like that.

"GAH!" Krink shouted, falling into the ball of krunklets as it rolled back and to the right, nearing the massive courtyard outside of the fortress. It threatened to fall into a large, shallow pool of water (Two of which were placed outside the main entrance walkway, as if to dissuade creatures that were afraid of water from entering, or y'know.. Squirrels) but stopped inches short. Krink rose from the mass of krunklets, its shape changing to resemble a small, crude cannon, and laughed heartily. "There's more to behold!" Krink shouted, aiming his... Cannon made of Krunklets at his enemies, and firing from it... Well, krunklets. Jesus these guys were good at being absolutely insane.

Oww...

"Oww..." Alexander said; he'd hoped his shield would have at least allowed him time to blow up the ball with the Fireball. Nevertheless, as he lay down, with cuts on his torso and arms - he had been using them to shield his face - the 24-year old attempted one last trick.

"Sunny Day." And with that, bright light shone down on Dr. Krink, hopefully blinding him for a moment and throwing off his aim!

Krunk Fortress

Wow! That looks like a lot of fun!

Taking note of the people taking on the Krunklets, it seemed that he and Ainra weren't alone in the fight against Lord Krunk. But if they would be on his side? That was a different matter entirely. Either way, he wanted to aid them in their fight. He could simply try to dash through the courtyard further into the castle, but that simply wasn't his style. And the fight seemed like a lot of fun as well.

Jenso bolted out of his hiding place behind the boulder, and hopped in front of the fighters. "Hey, can I join in too?!" He said with an excited tone and a wide grin on his face. He readied his hammer, waiting patiently for Krunklets to be launched their way. He would try to knock them all back into Krink and knock him in the water.

Krunk Fortress

The gang, minus one

Zerraf strode beside of Alexander and squatted down, left elbow resting on his left knee, right knee unoccupied. Alexander took the bowling ball strike head on and was pancaked, but took the hit better than most. "Ho-oh. I don't think that worked." Zerraf's glazed eyes were dead set on the cannon. He offered an open hand to help up the fallen Sun Mage without breaking eye contact, just after the beam of light was cast. "Let's give it one more try, then," the wind mage said with a strain in his voice. Fighting Krunklets, or anything for that matter, was a bother. So why was he still there?

@Jensoman

Zerraf looked to the newcomer with a daze, blinking slowly, likely a yawn within the mix. He covered his gaping maw before brushing off his shoulder with his left hand. Good, someone else to take burden away. "Please," Zerraf said as if it were a final request before bed. The man with the fiery hammer stood stalwart at the front of them, and Zerraf raised a white eyebrow. He looked up, down, to the group, lazily, as a pendulum. The red mage walked beside of Jenso, sheathing his rapier. "Yo-oy yo. Hammer man. Do you want to be over there?" Zerraf pointed to the cannon nearest water, drooping finger slowly waning.

If any spontaneous attacks occurred, Zerraf would manipulate currents about the Krunklet projectiles and attempt to redirect them either towards Jenso or anywhere away from the group. Toward the Krunk Fortress, if possible.

How do you headshot a ball?

Ainra had lost concern for how many people were fighting the Krunklets now; what she saw was an opportunity for revenge. They messed up her vacation! All she wanted was a festival, and instead they bludgeoned her in the back of the head and threw her in a bag... Which got stolen by mole people, but that's life.

What she was concerned about now was the fact that they were, uh... a cannon. And the one she wanted to punish the most, Krink, was operating the Krunklet cannon. How that operated was best not thought about. Instead, she began strafing to the left of where Jenso and Zerraf were, breathing another arrow into her bow. As long as Krink kept on shooting at them, maybe she could find herself a chance to potshot the shiniest metal turd.

A new perspective

Eleanor sighs 'These idiots keep connecting... There has to be a source for there power'. She looks around trying to find a way to disable there magnetism. Her eyes pass the cannon as Dr Kink makes his speech about who knows what. She leaps into the air and stabs her rapier into the ceiling trying to get a new view of things... She slips leaving her rapier behind. She lies on the ground in pain... She coughs blood

Getting up

Alexander took Zerraf's hand, helping himself up, and said what was probably the first kind word he said to the Wind Mage since he introduced himself:

"Thanks."

Then, he saw Eleanor slip and fall, and stared wide in shock, before turning to the cannon and throwing another fireball at it!

B stands for BOMBS!

Dr Krink Flinched, but thankfully, there were at least 80 other sets of eyes that could see just fine. Y'know, cuz the cannon was made up of little round men. A few krunklets near the base of the cannon began pushing several of their allies into the barrel, and within moments, they were launched out like little cannonballs! How? Fuck you, that's how.

"Gah!" Krink groaned, flapping his little armored hand around like a muppet. Light wasn't like dust, though. You couldn't just flap it away. Despite his idiotic attempt though, the cannon's aim was pretty good regardless. His goldem armor glimmered like a star as several krunklets flew across the field towards the intruders.

7 in total, one after another. While in midair, they spun around and released their little arms from beneath hinged-shoulder pads that melded into the contours of their armor when they retreated into their shells. Their little helmets and feet popped out too, like they were going to grab whatever they landed on. Unfortunately for them, Jenso's hammer was a little to fast and ON FIRE to grab. With three spinning strikes, he launched them back at the cannon, toppling its foundation and turning it into another mass of nothingness. The other four krunklets were sent off course by Zerraf, ending up half-buried in the ground behind them. Krink fell forwards but was re-positioned on top of the krunklet mass, ready to command a final attack as his eyesight slowly returned. He didn't wait though. While still blinded, he shouted:

"SCREW IT, KRUNKS, DROWN THEM!"

With that, the group dispersed and began rolling towards Jenso, Ainra, Alexander and Zerraf. Eleanor was out of this attacks reach, but they would surely go for her next when they had the chance.

SNIPER!!!

Jenso smiled as he managed to knock the giant cannon over and make it crumble. He glanced over his shoulder back at Zerraf for a moment. "Thanks for the help dude, that was some great teamwork!" He shouted. He smiled at Ainra who was readying an arrow on her bow. He jumped in front of Ainra as the Krunklets rolled towards them, and took a defensive stance. "Get that little prick, Ainra! I'll make sure none of them get near you!" He shouted. He spun around in circles rapidly and swung his hammer wildly, in order to knock the charging Krunklets away.

C-c-c-combo maker! Jenso + Cyclone = Jensone

Zerraf stared at the fallen cannon with half-shut eyes, but he gave the fiery Jenso a thumbs up to recognize his thanks. "Not just yet." Zerraf sighed, unsheathing his rapier and holding it downward as if it were a great weight. His slow eyes trailed the line of sight made by the newcomer's green arrow, tracing her shot to the main Krunklet of the bunch. Very well. Jenso charged forth into the masses, spinning as a top towards the rolling ball men.

The wind mage touched the tip of his rapier to his mask, lightly tapping, humming. "Hmmm..." Zerraf's eyebrow raised as if an idea was able to float in the quagmire that was his brain. He pointed his rapier, drooping, toward Jenso. Ethereal waves of wind began spiraling around the blade as a helix, concentrating as translucent specters. The wind spirits suddenly shot out, winding about each other, twin serpents charging Jenso. They coiled about him, rapidly, faster now, slamming against the back of his hammer and catching any flat surfaces with which to push him in more rapid circular motion. The human tornado was born, ripping grass and tearing earth asunder as it charged forward.
