Spain has Halftracks so I think we can assume most major countries have, or have had, halftracks. Germany included. As for the MG-42, I could make up a machine-gun that is basically an alternate history equivalent, if you'd like, and then you can say they are common black-market/surplus weapons used in developing countries, or something.
Really, it's just a matter of making up a name and changing the aesthetics to something more alternate-history. Nothing is stopping you from making up guns that resemble real weapons of the period. Just don't make them exact copies unless they were created before the time divergence.
