Charles would nod "bad thing is... we're surrounded" he states "and we have to search an entire city to find the one who's doing this.. without getting trapped in it ourselves" he states and sighs "so how to get out of this mess.." he'd put his hand on his chin and start thinking.

"Do you have any thing you might be able to summon with your magic by any chance" Lance said backing up as the villagers closed in on him. "Or will I have to paralyze them" Lance said charging a shock wave.

Charles shakes his head "anything I'd summon would kill them all and that would just cause trouble... best thing I can summon in this situation is an Elemental.. and well you know what happens when flesh meets pretty much any of the elements in huge amount" he states "can't control which comes forth unfortunally.." the villagers lunge at them.

The dark mage stare at the young man who take at the opportunity to slay the ghosts. He then watch as the young man and his group concluded their journey at this place.

The mage feels that the future is bright for the man.
He feels disappointed though that he doesn't see that much of the necromancer girl's skill.

The mysterious man was disturbed by his musing at the sound of his name being called. The sound was coming from his satchel that he's carrying.
The man opened the satchel and took out a mirror. The mirror shines brightly and a face of an old man appeared.

"Master Hadrian, at last you answered"
The old man sigh in relief as he said this.

"..."

The mage did not answer and stare at the old man with a confuse expression.

"Master Hadrian?"

"Who are you again?"

The old man sweatdrop at Hadrian's answer.

"It's me , Makarov!"
The old man exclaimed and the confusion on the forgetful mage cleared.

"Ah! Young Makarov! I am delightful to see you. How is the guild and Poryulsica and the others? "

" Do not call me that anymore!"
The current master of the Fairy Tail guild exclaimed as a tick mark appeared on his forehead.

"Alas! Compared to me, you are and will ever be just a youngling to me young Makarov"

Makarov just sweatdrop at the immortal and continued on answering the man.

"Poryulsica is still the same. Holing her self at the forest. Bob and Goldmine formed a guild of their own and Yajima joined the magic council and Rob...Rob lost his life protecting a child."
Makarov ended solemnly.

"I see...young Rob pass away then..."
Hadrian answered with a sad tone.

"But I'm glad that the others is doing alright. Have you had any news regarding Precht?"

"I'm afraid I don't have any news regarding Master Precht...why have you ask?

" Precht is still trying to revive her then..."
Hadrian muttered to himself.

"Her?"

Makarov ask but Hadrian just wave it away, reminiscing about the girl with a blonde hair that his black haired apprentice brought.
That brought up something to his mind as he remembered his apprentice.

"Young Makarov, how is your study in different magicks?"

"I have already said it before Master Hadrian, I already mastered my magicks."

"All of your affinities?"

"Anyway, that is not why I called. The guild will be having a tournament and I would like to invite you and if ever, teach the winner another magic"

"Hoo...so you would like me to test the young ones about their affinities then"

"Of course, you yourself has taught me that magic is alive and any person can learn different magick as long as it their affinity"

"Ah but young Makarov... Have you forgotten my predicament. You yourself knows that my memories is fading away and my knowledge in different magicks is dwindling. I myself, can only remembers one light magic despite it being my affinity along side dark and neutral magic."

"But... Have you forgotten master Hadrian that you stored your knowledge in different magicks. I remember, you said it to me once while you're teaching me. You started copying your memory and store all the knowledge you gain"

As Makarov said that, Hadrian pulled a device in his satchel. It's a small block box with intricate designs and carved with runes.

"Yes...yes...I remembered"

"You are going then...?"

"I'll think about it, young Makarov."

Makarov sigh and just nodded.
"I'll expect a positive answer"

And the mirror turned black and became an ordinary one again.

The wind blows behind him and Hadrian absentmindedly cast a strong cleansing spell in the village. Clearing away the malevolent aura and removing the chance of this abandoned village being hunted again.

I am but an old man whose memories is fading away. Sooner or later, I will become that of a child, whose mind is like a blank slate. Is this fate telling me to surrender all of my knowledge...
He stared at the black box innocently laying on his hand where lost magicks can be found.

His mind then goes back to his first apprentice. A black haired child that he save from a dragon attack. The black haired child that was cursed. He remembers then, as he learned what happen to his apprentice at his time in Mildian Magic Academy. He then never heard of his apprentice for a very long time until because of a certain blonde girl. He watch as the two fell in love but then was brutally broken away by the cursed.

And now Precht is finding a way to woke her up and finding my dear apprentice.

The wind blows again leaving nothing but a lingering presence.

My dear apprentice, are you still waiting for your brother to end you...

Lance shocked the villagers with a temporary paralysis, "let's make our escape while we can" lance says as the villagers stood immobilize. "The effects will wear off soon, it takes a little bit to charge the paralysis as well" Lance says as he takes off running from the villagers.

"Hello, we are wizards from the Fairy Tail guild. We are here about the job you sent for the guild, about your missing father." Jade said, making sure to make her guild mark visible so the two knew they were telling the truth.

Charles nods rushing off past the villagers farther into the town "keep your ears open listen for any kind of sound then if it's suspicious then plug them" he states "and then strike where ever you heard it" he says looking left and right, listening for the melody, There would signs of conflict from earlier of the day around the town from villagers fighting each other.

Lance nodded in agreement, "alright" Lance said. "You dealed with anything like this before?" Lance said as he saw broken windows and more vandalized property. "Dang, a dangerous item able to possess those who hear the song" Lance kept moving

Charles shakes his head "A music based thing.. no... did run into one mind control thing before in an ancient ruin but that was who ever touched it, had to destroy the object before I could learn much from it, else my team would of been killed" he states "This mind control should stop a few hours after the song is stopped, at lest that's my guess and hope so don't have to destroy the flute before I can learn from it" he states. They would hear a light melody coming from closer to the docks area, the melody would be enticing and alluring.

"Yes, please come in" the woman said as she moved out of the way of the door. She lead the duo to a small table, "Can I get either of you something to drink?" She asked as she began getting cups for their drinks.

Bishop shrugged when the girl moved and took a place at the table as he began to sign to Jade, "You'll have to do that talking, I'm sorry." he signed as he gave her a sorrowful look. He knew her being with him would be a hassle on her. "Waater...please.." he said as he spoke in his most proper voice.

Mia follows them as they got off the carriage, looking around town with curiosity. She was just as confused as Charles was when she noticed no one was around.

Mia was about to ask what Lance meant when she noticed the townspeople coming out of their homes towards them."W-what's going on?!" she screamed.

Once Lance used his paralysis on the villagers, she followed her team through the crowds of people. "What if the person controlling the flute uses it's magic while we're here? Will we get affected?" She asks.

Outside the guild, I looked back to it with hopeful eyes, determined that tommorow I was going to give it my all. My optimistic tone changed to frustration as the eyes on the dragon staff on my back glowed. "Shut up Kilgarrah!" I'd throw the staff on the ground. "Your the one that recommended me to this crap to start with, just because i have no experience with actual combat doesn't mean i won't loose whatever the challenge thing they were talking about." I paused as the staff glowed again. As if listening to the utter silence around me. "Dont make fun of me, your supposed to be my partner!" I stomped my foot, protesting as if i was talking to someone. "You watch, ill be in the guild in no time!"

Jade nodded in response to his signing and turned her attention back to the woman, "I'm fine, thank you though." She informed her. "Can you tell us when you last saw him and what he was doing around the time he disappeared, plus any more information you have like his last known location and what he looks like." Jade asked the woman with a polite tone in hopes to not upset her.

The women nodded and grabbed a picture of her and her husband, "He was in the woods marking trees to be logged. It was mid day and he even went with a group of other men. They said he wanted to stay longer and they didn't feel like it so they went back early. He's been gone for three days, please find my husband you're his only hope." The women said through tearful eyes.

Bishop glanced at Jade as they listened to the women, he was curious to see if she would feel empathy for the distort women.

Yuma wandered over to the guild master and looked at them "Is there a single job that I can do by myself?" she asked the guild master hoping to get a good job to do and get the guild money fast for the amenities.

"Yeah, most likely, just be careful alright?" Lance says, they kept moving and he heard a enchanting melody, immediately plugged his ears. He heard it coming from the west, he turned and made his way to the docks, beckoning his comrades.

Jade felt her heart tighten upon listening to the woman, though she didn't lose a husband and does not know the exact feeling the woman is going through. She had lost her father and brother with no chance of getting either back. Jade's determination grew as she looked at the woman, not wanting this family to lose someone if she had anything to say about it. Jade stood up and placed her hand gently on the woman's shoulder.

"We will do everything in our power to find your husband and see that he returns safely," Jade told her getting one last look at the picture of the man. She then turned to Bishop, "Anything else you need to know from them before we leave?" She asked, signing to him.

Charles would see and plugs his heads as well rushing after lance.
The melody would be coming from a docked boat, a small single person boat, woman would be sitting in a chair playing the flute... with a huge sword sitting behind her.

Mia heard the melody as well and followed her comrades' lead to cover her ears with her hands. She followed her team as fast as she could, running towards the source of the eerie melody.

Upon noticing the woman playing the flute, she quickly used her magic to requip a short sword into her hand and charged at the woman with the intention of interrupting her song.
