Valiant Village-Central Plaza

@Ninian@Empour

Gredy nodded his head quickly at Celty's question about him alright. "I'm fine. Dad always said that I was as headstrong as my mother." He said with a chuckle. Of course, Dad never said that within hearing range of Mum for obvious reasons but it was still kind of funny.

Then a new girl seemed to appear out of nowhere; A Snorunt this time around. Gredy had been about to offer to take her to the Guild himself to show her where it was because he was heading in that direction anyway but Celty beat him to the punch and the Snorunt wandered away without even a goodbye after she had gotten directions. His ears wilting a little for a moment, he turned back to look at Celty before asking "So are you here to join the guild too? Because I'm joining the Guild today... Maybe if you don't have a team already in mind we could team up?"

Dylan the Mudkip

Valiant Village-Central Plaza

@Light Lord
Dylan could feel the sweat begin to form already, even before Devon gave any real reaction. The brief awkward moment as the Totodile seemed to break down what he was just asked felt like a small eternity to the Mudkip. It wasn’t the inevitable reaction, good or bad, that was the hardest part, but rather the tense moments where assumptions took reign over what could happen.

Luckily, that “eternal” moment passed, Devon’s words managing to roll out. H-he didn’t remember anything like that? It being familiar didn’t mean much, as it could be a story or tale here in this world. The sweat started to fall down the Mudkip’s head, that feeling of “I fucked up” resonating all too loudly in his head.

That feeling didn’t last too long though, as Dylan watched the Totodile’s expression suddenly change. He was pretty sure Totodile couldn’t learn Harden, so the tenseness certainly wasn’t natural. Nor was the literal slack-jawed expression he wore. Oh god, he hadn’t given Devon a stroke from how crazy his question must have seemed, did he?

The absurd thought was quickly brushed away as Devon’s expression did another 180 in front of Dylan’s eyes. He had no idea what the perplexed emotion being presented meant for sure, but he had a feeling it was either horribly bad, or horribly good. Luckily for the Mudkip, Devon’s words spilling out from his mouth showed it was the latter.

The first thing the Mudkip could muster out in a reply wasn’t what he had planned to say, but rather, a sudden thought that crossed his mind. “W-wait, you can remember how you looked?” He didn’t want to admit it, but Dylan was jealous. He still couldn’t remember anything himself, and he had no idea why…

A small shake of his head helped him focus on the important issue on hand. “Gah, that’s not important here. Yeah, I’m just like you, a human. Or, well, used-to-be human. Thank god… I was worried I would sound insane…” The Mudkip’s words trailed off for a moment before picking up once again, answering the other question presented by the Totodile, one which he was still asking himself to no avail.

“I… don’t know how, or why this happened, I can’t remember anything. All I know is I woke up in that forest last night as a Mudkip, only remembering my name and previously being a human. I was hoping you’d know something that could help. B-but I’m just glad I’m not alone here…”

Spirit the Lucario, Valiant Village, Sawk and Throh Dojo

@Iatos
Lucario had finished talking with Sensei Sawk and Sensei Throh about the day's training, when he felt the presence behind him. He didn't turn, but simply scanned the nearby aura. It was Tzerah, and her aura was brighter than he had seen it all week. He closed his eyes and chuckled. "I see you're decently rested now, Tzerah. And... I heard from Magnezone about your suspension, and I know how you feel about your work." He finally turned and opened his eyes, setting them upon the Luxray. "I know you know that it's for your own good as well, though. And, if you ever get bored, you can always help around the Guild."

He quickly scanned her aura again, trying to sense the emotion she held. It seemed twisted, she was grateful, but also seemed embarrassed, possibly from he and Takeo carrying her from his restaurant to the Guild. "We've got time before Rico and Lulu get here for training, how about a sparring match? Might help work out your pent up anger over today."

Rico and Lulu, The Riolu Twins, Valiant Village

@Polaris North
The twins took their seat with Zaru, and struck up some light chat while the sandwiches were being made. "You asked earlier how the training was going? Well, could be better..." Lulu said, nervously laughing. "Our dad's been trying to teach us Aura Sphere, it's a really hard move to learn if you aren't a Lucario it seems. We've been working a lot, but so far we haven't even so much as produced a spark of aura energy." After answering the question, Slurpuff came over, silently sliding the sandwiches onto their table. "Thank you Mr. Slurpuff!" The twins said in unison.

As they dug into their sandwiches, Rico explained about them a little. "Mr. Slurpuff has this amazing recipe combo he uses for this. He uses sliced Chesto, Pecha, and a pinch of Tomato for that nice little kick. Then he puts it between this Oran Berry Bread and it's just perfect!" Soon, though, his mouth was too filled with the delectable sandwich to speak.

Flash the Scizor, Boulder Mountain

Flash waited impatiently outside the East Slope exit of Boulder Mountain. He had made it through no problem, what could be keeping his gang? Soon he spotted his Cacturne minions trudging out of the cave. "Well, I'm surprised, we didn't run into nearly as many locals as I thought. How many were in that one cave, fifty maybe?" The lead Cacturne locked eyes with Flash, and immediately saw the disappointment in his eyes. The Crustle group came not long after. Both groups seemed completely drained of energy. Flash through a bunch of Oran Berries to them.

"Eat up, then we head out." His gang may have taken it as a sign of kindness from the hardened villain, but Flash just wanted to make sure he had his assets covered. He didn't want to be going into a battle with a bunch of out of breath idiots backing him up. "So, how much longer till we reach this place now?" The lead Cacturne spoke up. "Should be just a few more miles, boss." Flash smiled, soon he'd personally beat down the guy who thought he could take down Flash the Scizor.

Zaru the Chimchar

Valiant Village

When they started the conversation about their training again, Zaru eagerly listened. Aura Sphere? He then thought back to his memories. Parents were fighting types too, maybe they... no, not them. Another Lucario they met in their travels. Helped them out with a bunch of bad pokemon. He might have used that move, the one involving a sphere of hardened aura that packs quite a punch. He then smiled at the two. "You'll get there either by evolving or by sheer hard work and willpower." He said, trying to cheer them on. When Slurpuff came over with the sandwiches, Zaru quickly eyed the treat. Hey, it looked delicious.

As Rico explained the contents of the sandwich, the Chimchar eagerly dug into his sandwich. The looks didn't deceive him at all. If anything, it was more delicious than what he originally expected. Like the other two that he was with, he began wolfing down the food. It wasn't long until he managed to eat all of it. He then leaned back, pressing his hands on the ground behind him to support his weight. "That was good. Freaking good." He had a truly satisfied smile on his face. "Never tasted anything like it." He continued. Well, that refilled his stomach no problem and gave him more energy than necessary. Ah well, he could just store all this energy for tomorrow he supposed.

Devon the Totodile

Valiant Village, River near Central Plaza

Devon continued to float there in the dark waters under the bridge, still dumbfounded by his regained knowledge as he listened to Dylan reveal his only memories. Finally the Totodile looked back up at the Mudkip with a sad frown as he crossed his arms, shaking his head as well. "Me too. I don't got any info either. I woke up in those woods like this too. Now I can only remember my name, my Dad.....The feeling that I was with some really close friends before this....And that I was human....Sorry."

Staring off into the sunlight past the underside of the bridge, the former human sighed. "What are we gonna do then? We can't remember how we got like this....Where we came from....We gotta ask someone....We need to find out how...." Devon's face then brightened significantly. The reptile snapping his claws then turning back to the Mud Fish. "Hey! We should ask Spirit. Everyone seems to look up to him, so he probably knows something. Let's go!"

Without a second glance, Devon spun around in the water and paddled his way out from under the bridge to climb back onto the bank of the river. Panting, the now drenched Totodile ran over to Celty and the Eevee. A serious expression hardening his scaly face. "Celty, me and Dylan need to head back to the guild to ask Spirit something. You coming with?"

Celty the Mawile
[Valiant Village - Central Plaza River]

@Bright_Ops@Noklu@Light Lord
Looking over the Eevee as the Snorunt took off, Celty was able to easily identify that the incident caused great sadness in him. "Hey, look... I'm sure that Snorunt had a very good reason for running off. It was probably me, actually, ahah..." Hanging her head, she wasn't quite ready for what Gredy had asked of her. Her previous words were to cover up her now inner turmoil, and hopefully lighten his mood. She already knew she was enough of a downer as it was.

This Eevee... wants to team up with... me? I... had no intention of joining the Guild here. I was passing through, I'm... ugh, who am I kidding. I don't even know what I'm doing, I haven't even figured that much out. I just ran away from Seelie because I'm a dumb fuck. I'm never going to find help for Lucrecia. There is no one who can help her. Fuck... shit... SHIT. If I say no, and let this little newbie run off into a dungeon... if he's hurt or worse, it's my fault. Of course, if I join his team and he dies, that's more blood on my paws. Fuck. Fuck. FUCK.

The entire time Celty was in the middle of an internal monologue, she simply stared searchingly into Gredy's large eyes. When she decided to reply, her steel horn drooped and her gaze averted, "Uh... yeah, kid... I mean... if you really want to team up with me, sure. It's not like I have anything left to—"

That was about the time Devon popped out of the water. Turning to face the drenched Totodile, Celty nodded slowly before responding, "Oh... yeah I mean, I guess I'm coming with. That's as long as Gredy hasn't already started to regret inviting me to form a team with him. We were just about to go over there, too."

Kargool the Vanillite

Valiant Village, Guild
@Empour
"N-No ma'am, I do not. I'm w-waiting to ask him myself if I c-can create a rescue team, considering I was a um... co-leader of my previous one." The Vanillite was very uneasy right now. He had heard the leader of this guild was very strong, but he didn't know if he himself was worthy enough to even ask for this privilege, let alone fight. Kargool only heard rumors of the guildmaster's power, and in an one on one match, Kargool would be melted. There was also this Snorunt, who bore an accent which you would find more common among Sneasel and Weavile, which begs the question if she was trustworthy or not. Kargool didn't have anything against the dark types, it's just they seem like they're always taking things. "You don't seem like you're from here... either... who a-are you?" It doesn't hurt to ask questions, right?

Hat

Valiant Village, Spirit’s Guild, Midday

Drat. No luck with the little ice cream cone, either. He didn’t even work here. She’d have to ask even more people to get to the guildmaster.

Oh well. It’s not like she was in a rush or anything, there wasn’t actually any dangerous outlaws moments away from entering the town and pillaging it. She could wait.

Actually, she should probably decide on which outlaw she was gonna use for her story. The wanted posters hadn’t actually said anything about just what these criminals were capable of, just how dangerous they were according to some useless star-scale. That, and the sheer volume of the reward for bringing one in. The Scizor far outstripped the other two in both categories, and his poster was fresher, too. It was possible that the Jinx and Beedrill were both caught long ago.

She decided to use the Scizor. It would be a horrible embarrassment if she’d gone babbling about how there was a dangerous criminal nearby when said dangerous criminal was in jail already. Plus, bigger reward. Can’t go wrong there.

With that, she decided on her story. The first person she’d spread it to would be this Vanillite, who was apparently new to town as well.

“Name’s Hat,” she said, “I’m not from round here. I came here looking for work,”

“Anyway, I need to see the guildmaster. I saw someone who looks a whole lot like this Scizor character on my way over here, I figured he’d want to know,” she continued, motioning to the road she’d taken into town. If you were willing to stretch your definition of “a whole lot,” then she supposed one of the many Corphish she’d seen while following the river counted.

“So long, ice cream,” Hat said, before dashing off. She had to give the appearance of urgency, or else people wouldn’t take her seriously. However, she had absolutely no idea where the guildmaster was, or even what he looked like.

Well, she’d just have to look for something that made her think ‘Spirit’. Soon after leaving the guild, she found herself looking at the river again, with the Mawile down below, speaking to a totodile for some reason. Maybe she knew what he was, at least.

Hat approached the three of them. She hadn’t expected to speak to her again so soon, but she seemed nice enough.

“Hey, uh, Mawile, I need to ask another question,” she said, speaking up behind her again.

“D’you know what the guildmaster looks like?” she asked, “He wasn’t at the guild, and I really gotta talk to him,”

Tzerah the Luxray

Valiant Village: Dojo

@Shiny Keldeo

She didn't really feel prepared when he started speaking to her, she hadn't planned this far ahead and when the Lucario started speaking she stayed silent until he had finished doing so. She knew he was reading her aura, she could read it on his body language and she didn't quite like it, she didn't like that he could see through her in a way that her x-ray like vision can't compete with. However She was a lot calmer now and having rested for quite a while she actually felt better too than she had done in a long while. She frowned and narrowed her eyes as she prepared to respond to him. "I... 'i'm grateful... thank you'" she muttered silently and in all honesty she was, it might been quite embarrassing but she actually felt a lot better. To fall asleep in the Guildmasters lap when she needed it the most... it was a safety she couldn't trade for and that she only felt with her mate before.

She didn't really feel like responding about her work, of course it was painful in a way to be suspended from duty, but she realized that she might have been overworking herself lately and quite frankly was glad they even allow her to continue her job as she had been acting quite bad for a long time. Yet her thoughts were broken off by the challange... or well more like an offer to spar, and it was in one way not something she would be quick to turn down. She thought about it for a second as she stretched on the spot and then nodded once "Very well... If its a fight you want" she replied with a slightly darker tone. 'A...spar?... with you?... yes... I guess that would be fun, perhaps slightly embarrassing... uhm I hope I don't lose or something... at least not badly' she thought to herself. Then she stepped out into the spar area and faced him again.

"Well. I hope you go easy on me... I'm a mother after all." she said with a slightly sly smile for a second. "I accept, but only if I get to request something if I win... I give you the same option" she said then as she took a deep breath her composition changed... her whole being just emptied out for an instant, like if her aura just died down with no emotiions left. "...bring it on..." she voiced nearly like a completely new being, her body then stated crackling, slowly at first from the tip of her tail then her whole body was covered in a thick electric field almost like a lightning armor.

[Insert battle music]

She was deadly serious about this fightm there was not a fibe in her body telling that she was going to hold back. It was like she was going into the last battle of her life where it would count the most...

Devon the Totodile

Valiant Village, River near Central Plaza

Devon nodded at Celty once she agreed to come with, a bit of worry on his face as he glanced at the Mawile for a few moments. Something was bothering her, but the reptile was sure what. Then a toothy smile came across his maw as he eyed the Eevee near her which the Totodile assumed was Gredy. "A team huh? Don't listen to her dude, Celty would make a great team mate. I'm sure you'll be happy to have her. I'm Devon by the way."

It wasn't long after Devon introduced himself to the Normal-type that another Pokémon approached them. Of all of his memories that seemed foggy, his knowledge of Pokémon was at least mostly intact. Except for this instance. He had absolutely no clue what this little orange and black creature was. He however did a mental shrug once he focused on the newcomer, deciding it didn't really matter what species someone was as long as they were nice. Unfortunately, the information that the little thing bared made Devon's smile dip down a bit as his arms hung his sides. "What? Spirits not at the guild? Crap. Uh...Sorry, but we don't know where the guild master could have went. He's a Lucario though. Nothing really different or unique about him either."

Turning back to the river, Devon gestured to Dylan with his hand in a sort of 'come on' motion. Ideas tossed around in his head on how they could locate the missing guild master. Hm....Who would know where Spirit is?.....Oh! The other kids from the guild! I bet Lulu and Rico probably know where their Dad is.

The first stage Water-type spun back around to face Gredy, Celty, and the Snowrunt once again with a new found smile. "But I know someone who might know where Spirit is. His two kids, Rico and Lulu. I dunno where they are but...Good bet is that they're somewhere around town. We should check out some of the other buildings guys."

Kargool the Vanillite

Down the road towards Boulder Mountain.
Kargool decided he needed to act on hearing this Scizor about to hurt the kind people of the village. He had taken criminals like this down before, back when he was a member of team Envirolock, that is. Scizor would be a very tough opponent, but needless to say a good challenge is always a nice change of pace. After all, Kargool had the badge to prove it. It'd be very risky but if Kargool pulled it off, he would have a solid spot for making a rescue team in no time. The Snorunt also probably went to alert the guildmaster that the Scizor was approaching town, so he would have some backup after a while. Kargool hid in the bushes once he saw sight of the outlaw.

As Celty agreed to join his team, Gredy's ears perked up as his tail started wagging; One would think that he would have started bouncing around, yipping in joy but the arrival of the Mudkip and the Totodile (Devon he would soon learn) caused him to reel that excitement in. Of course, as the conversation between Celty and Devon started to take shape Gredy couldn't help but frown a little at how harshly Celty viewed herself."I will never regret asking you to be on a team with me!" Gredy declared loudly with the determination of the certain... or the naive. Still, there was a passion to his tone that couldn't be denied; The way he puffed himself up suggesting that if the world disagreed with him he would not only prove it wrong but apologize for saying such a rude, uncouth thing in the first place. Once the moment of seriousness had passed, Gredy seemed to relax a little as he introduced himself as "I'm Gredy. It's nice to meet you."

The return of the Snorunt and the admission that she couldn't find Guildmaster Spirit because she didn't know what he looked like caused Gredy to turn his attention to the smallish ice pokemon, his jaw coming up to rub his jaw in thought before looking skywards. "Well... Considering the time of day Guildmaster Spirit should be at the Sawk and Throh Dojo. He always starts Rico and Lulu's training shortly after lunch. I can show you where it is; Me and Celty here need to talk with him anyway so you can come with us!"

Dylan the Mudkip

Valiant Village-Central Plaza

@Bright_Ops@Light Lord@Empour@Ninian
Dylan's face took on a thoughtful streak as he listened to Devon's response. So there wasn't anything they could go off of, the only memories in the Totodile's mind being vague thoughts from before they transformed, not during. The only thing that really stuck out to the Mudkip was the fact they both woke up in the forest, and around the same time, so they had probably been transformed around the same time, possibly even together. However, that wasn't the most useful information. He could easily say there was a connection between them both being water types, but that wasn't helpful in the slightest.

The Mudkip was pulled from his deep thought fairly suddenly by Devon's suggestion. He agreed, they could use more information, and Spirit seemed like the best choice to ask, probably knowing the most amongst the townfolk. However, something nagged at his mind as the Totodile swam out from the shade. That being what they should ask the guildmaster exactly. They didn't know what this world knew about humans, and, more importantly, what their thoughts were on humans. It might be better not to lay out every card they had on the table before knowing the other's hand.

The thoughts of poker could wait, as Dylan shook his head back into the present looking over to see Devon waving him over to the shore. He stopped wading in place, instead turning to the shore, swimming in the blissful water. Once he exited the shade, the sunlight-heated water extracted a small sigh from him, making him slow briefly. It didn't take long to get over to where the Totodile was, who was currently talking with Celty, as well as an Eevee he hadn't met but seemed to be in good spirits for some reason. If he had heard right, that reason was the Eevee, Gredy, as he introduced, forming a team? Presumably with Celty. Oh, and there was a Snorunt there as well, but seemed to be in a bit of a hurry.

Listening in on what was going on, it seemed he and Devon wouldn't be seeing Spirit alone in the end. All five of them needed to see the Lucario for varying reasons. Luckily for them, Gredy seemed to know where he was. A dojo, huh? That could be useful for learning how to use his moves.

Dylan reluctantly swam the rest of the way to shore, walking out from the peaceful river, shaking slightly to get rid of any excess water from him. He couldn't help but note it was feeling more natural, using this body. Which was good, since he didn't know how long he'd be in this form, if not the rest of his life. The thought brushed a major question he hadn't really asked himself yet, but he shook it off as he realized he hadn't introduced himself to the newcomers.

"That's good to hear! Though, um... where's the dojo? I'm not from around here so I'll just follow your lead I suppose. Ah, I'm Dylan, by the way, nice to meet you".

Celty the Mawile
[Valiant Village - Central Plaza]

@Bright_Ops@Noklu@Light Lord@Empour
Once again, the Snorunt appeared asking about the Guildmaster. Though she had met him, she knew absolutely nothing about his routine, or really anything about him. Thankfully, Gredy was familiar with the village. That made one of them.

For some reason, both Devon and Gredy thought Celty would make an excellent team member. Why did they think that? They didn't know her very well. They had no idea that she didn't stop her friend from walking straight into a Monster House...

Everyone has way~too much faith in me. Great. Now when I inevitably let them down, they'll be devastated.

The Eevee's passion was both heartwarming and heart-breaking. Celty could not decide which of those two feelings was stronger, but either way the cognitive dissonance was really starting to bother her. Slumping her shoulders, with her head lowered, the Mawile chuckled sadly at Gredy, "...Hah... you're sweet."

Looking over the party, Celty put a paw to her lips for a moment before speaking, "Poor Spirit, as if he weren't busy enough. Oh well." Flashing the best smile she could manage given her internal strife, Celty's gaze fixed upon Gredy before speaking, "Seems like you're the only local here, soooo... we're all following you~♪"

Hat

Valiant Village, Riverside, Midday

Hat didn’t quite know what to do. She still had to maintain the image of urgency, but at the same time it didn’t sound like she would be able to rush ahead of this group again. She supposed she would just have to stay with them, but she could feel her story falling apart as she did. An outlaw in the mountains? Maybe there was, but frankly, who cares? They could be anywhere up there, and surely they already knew the Scizor was nearby. She was already regretting telling the Vanillite about it. Now when he realized that there was not in fact impending doom by outlaw, he would surely tell of her lie.

She resolved to instead follow the original plan, and hope the damage done to it wasn’t too bad. She would integrate herself with the town, and use her eventual influence as an excuse to investigate the guild and locate the treasures.

Hat visibly deflated, becoming smaller. She couldn’t believe herself, for getting wrapped up in that side-plan like that. She knew she needed the money as soon as possible for her long-term plans, but that was a bad idea. She would likely have to work even harder to get a good reputation, now that one pokemon knew that the first thing she’d done in town was tell a lie. This was going to be a long, long job.

She decided- She wouldn’t tell the guildmaster the same lie she did the vanillite. She would instead just stick with this nice group of individuals, with which she was at least slightly acquainted.

The Mawile, which she’d initially thought was just unhappy to see her, actually seemed to just be unhappy in general. Somehow, this was much more comforting. Hat resolved to get to know her first, as it looked like every other Pokemon was just a kid.

She’d start by apologizing. She had been rather rude earlier, after all.

“Hey, uh, Ms Mawile, sorry bout leaving you like that earlier,” she said, moving up next to her again.

Celty's ears twitched when she heard the Snorunt speak up. Blinking a few times, the Mawile turned to the direction of the voice. "Oh, it's fine, really. And uh... call me Celty. Ms. Mawile makes me feel old..." It was true she was significantly older than the children surrounding her, but having attention called to that fact was still rather jarring.

"You might want to apologize to Gredy, though. He seemed put out when you ran away. Speaking of, is everything all right?"

Being the center of attention felt nice; Gredy's chest was all puffed up with pride as he was about to turn and lead the party towards where he believed the Guildmaster to be... only for his ears to start flicking as he turned to look at Celty and the as of yet unnamed Snorunt, deflating somewhat at the suggestion that he had been 'put out' by the latter's departure. "It's alright. I was just going to point you in the right direction before you wandered off. What's your name by the way?" With his question asked, he turned to start leading the group towards the Dojo.

Rico and Lulu, The Riolu Twins, Valiant Village

@Polaris North
The twins finished their food as quickly, looking over to Zaru as he spoke up. "Yeah, better than eating them fresh like we usually do. It's amazing what kind of creations are possible like that!" Rico replied. He and Lulu stood up and went over to the counter, laying down $3.00, seeing as each sandwich had been $1.00. Now they headed for the door. "We're heading on over Zaru, tag along if you want. If not, we'll meet you there!" With that, the two Aura Pokemon took their leave as they headed towards the Sawk and Throh Dojo.

Valiant Village

A group of Pokemon entered the village at a brisk pace. They were led by an Excadrill, and it seems they were carrying wounded. They rushed past the bridge where a number of Pokemon were already, somewhat cutting them off. "Come on, hurry! We don't have much time!" Said the Excadrill, making sure the group wouldn't stop until they reached their destination. Yes, these were the Guild Pokemon that Spirit had sent out to capture Flash the Scizor, but it was quite apparent that they had failed in their endeavor. One could only wonder what had happened to them.

This figure was now standing on a mountaintop, a mountain so high he could pretty much see everything from up there. He looked down upon the world, seeking out those who could be worthy enough to aid him in his quest. He felt a strong presence, several in fact. Yes, these were the ones who could help him, these were the ones worthy of his grace. He sent out a message to each of them telepathically.

"You, who have been deemed worthy. You have been chosen by me, soon to be the master of all, to aid me in my quest. I shall bring an end, and start anew. Come to the peak of Infinity Mountain. Those who make it will truly be worthy of my presence. Until then, farewell."

Valentine

Valiant Village

@Shiny Keldeo
Valentine was just heading out of the village when he suddenly was passed by a group of pokemon led by an Excadrill. They were severely wounded and had likely failed at whatever task they had been sent out to do, judging by the looks of intense misery and self loathing. That had nothing to do with him though, so he carried on out of the village. That was until some random voice interrupted his thoughts out of the blue.

"You, who have been deemed worthy. You have been chosen by me, soon to be the master of all, to aid me in my quest. I shall bring an end, and start anew. Come to the peak of Infinity Mountain. Those who make it will truly be worthy of my presence. Until then, farewell."

"Who's there?" Valentine called out as he searched for the source of the voice. He scanned his immediate surroundings and clicked his tongue in annoyance. It would appear as if some psychic pokemon was contacting him for a job. And they were testing him, sending him to the peak of Infinity Mountain of all places. Normally he would disregard something like this, brushing it off as a prank, but this voice... It held weight to it. A purpose. Something Valentine had sought for so long.

"Time to prepare I guess." Valentine pulled out a coin and began to roll it over his fingers. This was going to be one hell of an adventure.
