I'd personally sooner end it than string it out for the sake of two or three posters like some other games, despite how excited I am/have been about some of my plans for Clark and Lex.

As someone who was interested in joining, reading through the IC, and jotting down a CS, it is rather disheartening to see the GM say this. It doesn't show confidence, and thus won't inspire others to post or join. After reading this I'm not sure if I still have a desire to join, as a game where the GM is talking about the potential end as soon as things hit a relative slow patch doesn't make for the best experience. I have ideas and concepts I would like to explore in this world, but not if the GM is already losing confidence in his own game.

Just the thoughts of a stranger who isn't officially a part of this.

We're at a crossroads. If people want this thing to go the distance, they have to post. It's that simple. I'm not going to be apologetic about being realistic – especially given the time and effort that's been put into this thing all around. Take it as a lack of confidence if you want but it wasn't meant that way at all. The opposite, in fact.

Honestly, I can see why Nexus Prime feels the comment is problematic. We aren’t an inactive game by any means, so suggesting that the game is at a point where it will survive or die can seem counter-productive as a whole even if your perspective thinks it was a realistic point to mention. We may have lost a good few of people and others are in their motions with their life, but we aren’t inactive by any means— over fourteen posts in IC (this week), sparse yet friendly activity in the OOC, some individuals who came out and noted interest… the game is fine. But the fact is saying that “it could very well be the beginning of the end” could inspire people to drop the RP entirely and do exactly what you don’t want happening and that is the prospective game teetering out.

I’m not sure what your expectations are with the game at this point, as the game has been ripe with a lack of clarity from the beginning so I alongside others are pretty confused. What good did the sentiment make? Was it necessary? I just don’t see it as sensible to imply that the RP will survive or it’s going into a slow momentum that you’d sooner end than try to allow it to be resilient.

This is one reason why I think All-Star Marvel has worked opposed to its “sister games” – tenacity, resilience, and no realistic/defeatist prospective personality. But that’s just how I see it.

I don’t mean to open the powder keg, but I do think it’s a point that is important to bring up.

I think I'd sooner place my efforts into writing a post than entering into a protracted debate.

So that's what I'm going to do and I suggest everyone else do the same.

I'm new. I don't regret it. So much fun to be had with the mutants. It's two people I've always wanted to play with, and Sep. And if you don't know Sep, well then you're missing out. Only one of those. You could have fun with that group.

And Morden's just sunshine as usual.

Although I can see why a GM would think out all possibilities. Even that one.

Certainly hope you stay, but understandable if you don't. It's all about the elusive fun.

Will be doing some thinking throughout the weekend. I think I’ve incidentally drawn lines in the sand and been ill in my discourses privately and publicly. After some discussion with close friends and the GM I am going to have to look into my own behavior as well as other factors going forward. I’m not really completely centered in my thinking right now, but working through it.

I’ll keep everyone posted.

@Sep Wait a minute, you're telling me you're putting your family over roleplaying? What the hell is wrong with you? Don't you realise this is life or death?

Heh, if you manage to survive your nephew, I look forward to that Hulk post, whenever it might come.

@Everyone Else
My grandparents are officially moving on Friday for the last time. We've got them mostly moved now except for the large heavy things that the movers get to move. So hopefully it's now business as usual. Expect posts soon.

Why are @GreenGrenade's characters crossed out in the character tab? Did he drop out?

Yeah, sorry for not letting you guys know. That was pretty uncool of me.

I've dropped out because I was having trouble coming up with posts for both Green Arrow and Miles, along with some disagreements I had with Mord, but it's all good. As far as I understand I left on good terms, and I really hope that that's the case. Regardless, I wish you guys the best of luck. Hopefully this game goes on for a while yet.

Y'know with Civil War approaching in the theaters and II coming in the comics, I can't help but wonder how the lines would be drawn in either New Frontier or another Single Universe RP.
