Valiant Village, Spirit's Guild
The crowd of Pokemon made their very quick procession into the Guild, some helping others who were badly injured. Leading them was an Excadrill, the same one as seen earlier in Dry Valley Gulch.
"We need to warn Guildmaster Spirit that Flash is coming! I'll go find him. Ox, go find Mrs. Melody, some of these guys need serious help." His last statement directed towards a Gogoat, who nodded in reply. Both took off into town after this.
The Excadrill dashed around the village, searching left and right for any sign of their Lucario Guildmaster. He wasn't in any of the usual places in the Center Plaza, so he assumed he would be down at the Dojo. He had to hurry, Flash would most likely be right behind them.
Spirit the Lucario and Tzerah the Luxray, Valiant Village, Sawk and Throh Dojo
(Collab with @Iatos)Spirit stood opposite the female Luxray, keeping his cool with the utmost of ease. He held out his paw, motioning to her.
"Ladies first." He moved into a stance of battle, ready to assess and counter whatever came from his opponent.
Tzerah let out a heavy breath as Spirit told her to begin.
"Of course he wanted to be on the defensive..." It was not something she would usually see as a gentleman-like move or anything. No, it was simply something she would see someone do who obviously liked to read opponents, doing so by letting them move first. She hunched down slightly before leaping forward as she ran straight towards him, her fangs lit up with fire as she charged straight from the front. Yet before she reached him, she stopped and let out a much quicker Thunder towards him from a much closer range.
Spirit expected no less of a law enforcement Pokemon, using a tactic like this to fool the typical opponent that she was charging with her Fire Fang, which would have been very powerful against him being a steel type, then suddenly switching to a close range Thunder attack. Clever, but not clever enough to surprise him. He brought out his Bone Rush attack, spinning it up in the air, using the move's type to effectively cancel the attack. After that, he rushed forward, swiping the Bone Rush towards her legs to knock her off balance.
Tzerah was many things, but she was not slow on her feet. Once he struck towards her, she leapt back quickly and gained some distance. As expected his Bone Rush was the perfect counter to her lighting. She quickly pounced at the attack, trying to push his it away.
As predicted, Tzerah was quick to evade and counterattack, that was the perfect opening however. Having jumped quickly into the air, the Luxray had left herself open to a simple strike. He turned his Bone Rush away from her grabbing paws and struck quickly into her underside.
The Luxray spun slightly in the air, not as open as one would expect. With cat-like reflexes and grace she landed on the bone and leapt off of it as she propelled herself into the air. Then she dove down fangs flaming to strike high from above.
Undeterred by the slight change in events, Spirit raised his Bone Rush to meet the oncoming Tzerah. As she passed the point of no return, he delivered a swift blow to her head, knocking her away as she neared contact.
There was a loud crack as Tzerah was sent to the ground. However, rather than being blown away, as the dust cleared it could be seen that she caught the bone rush with her fangs rather than taking it straight to the head. Blood dripped slightly from her mouth, and she held it in a firm grip... then another snap as her fangs glowed blue and she snapped the Bone Rush into small pieces with her Icy Fang. She growled as she unleashed a Thunder at point blank range now that his protection was broken.
The Thunder appeared to score a direct hit on Spirit, and a cloud of dust was sent up around him. When it cleared, there was no sign of Spirit anywhere in the arena. Like his name, he was just gone. The blast had also caused all the candles in the room to be blown out, leaving it pitch black. Obviously Tzerah being a Luxray had no issue, but there was still no sign of Spirit. Then some footsteps, and more footsteps. It seemed like they were coming from everywhere at once. Then a blue glow appeared behind her, an Aura Sphere aimed at the ground below the Luxray.
Tzerah shook off slightly as he disappeared, yet as the room became black her eyes lit up momentarily before she quickly scanned it. Yet as she noticed the light she let out a powerful flash of lightning, she looked towards spirit, keeping track of him through darkness and smoke with her x-ray like vision, he wasn't going to be able to play a game of hide and seek with her using his aura vision. However she slightly dodged the Aura Sphere before just standing still.
He continued firing several Aura Spheres in succession, creating several divots in the ground around the battlefield. To an average Pokemon, it may have seemed that he had gone blind or something, but there was always strategy to Spirit's moves. Spirit proceeded to slam the ground around him with Ice Punch, coating the battlefield in a layer of ice, made thicker because of the divots he had made. Once more, he vanished, using his Aura to mask his presence.
Tzerah stood still as Aura spheres whistled past her. As they were not aimed directly at her, she didn't even seem to consider making the effort to dodge them. Yet the cold emotionless presence that came from her soon faded, she let out a loud breath as her lightning faded. Fear settled in her for a moment, yet Spirit was not the cause of it. She breathed hard and sank down to a sitting position. As the fear faded away again she just quietly smiled to herself.
"Its enough." She said as she got to her feet... yet suddenly lowered her front.
"I yield... claim your prize..." She added before letting out a calm breath.
At once the candles around the room reignited, and Spirit had returned to the position in which they had started.
"Something seemed to startle you and make you freeze right there, what was it?" Asked Spirit, concerned with what Tzerah may have just felt, seen, or whatever had happened.
Tzerah looked up at Spirit once he spoke to her, for a moment she lowered her head as he questioned her then she looked up.
"I will tell you tonight... not here" She said and stood. She then walked up to him gently leaped up to put a paw on his shoulder before giving his cheek a lick.
"See you later..." She said and left without another word walking back towards the guild.
Spirit pondered for a moment what could have been on Tzerah's mind. That thought process was soon shattered by yet another arrival.
"Guildmaster, we have a situation!" Spirit turned to find his right hand Pokemon, Razor the Excadrill, nearly out of breath leaning on the door.
"Razor, what's wrong... oh no..."Outskirts of Valiant Village
@BananaFlash and his gang finally set eyes on the place known as Valiant Village. It was peaceful, quiet, surprising for the afternoon time.
"So, this is the place... let's get down there and find that Lucario who thought he could send his bunch after us." He started over, then stopped. He saw what looked like the tip of an ice cream cone sticking out of a bush. He pointed to two of the Crustle, and pointed to the bush. After this, he pointed to the rest of his gang and motioned them the other way.
They made their way through the brush, sneaking around the would be ninja ice cream. They made their approach into the town along the main path. Flash wasn't scared a bit. He'd tangled with the best of them, what could this Lucario guy have that the rest didn't? He stopped his thought process for a second, remembering what he had said before. He refocused, and continued into town.
